This is a sequel to Devil may Fall and Devilish Fortune, read those first before this.

Long ago... Ah, who am I kidding. You've heard the story of my father a gazillion times by now. How about we start with the action instead this time? Of course, with me as the highlight. Demon killing IS my specialty.

Heh

This is a story about demons, after all.

Let's get this party started!

Sin Trigger

Dante

He'd never been so high up in his life, except for the Temen-ni-Gru of course but that was different. You could see everything from up here, the USF was one beautiful place.

"Wow, would you look at that view." Dante whistled as he witnessed the entire world below running by at high speeds, his silver-white hair flourishing as the sun and wind flushed through the innards of the plane. He leaned up against the door of the aircraft, smirking with a light chuckle.

And yet sitting across from him next to the pilot seat, a masked figure shuddered and shivered in the breeze. "Close the door already! It's too cold." Groaned the figure, two horns jutting out of his hooded cloak.

Dante smirked and leaned back to catch the other figure's glare, "Really furball? You of all people are cold?" He laughs, clutching his bare stomach.

He can sense the snarl behind that mask of his, "Don't forget I'm part house-plant Dante, I get it's hard for you to remember basic things." His white fur bristled as he pointed a finger towards the white-haired Devil Hunter.

Crossing his arms and glancing away, "Jerk." His raised arm is covered in a mixture of green foliage and vines, hardly flesh and blood at all.

Dante raises his hands defensively, still smirking. "Alright alright, I'll stop having fun, your majesty." He rushed past him and into the cockpit, leaning against the co-pilots seat and tapping the shoulder of the pilot.

'An all nighter like that, he's dedicated now...'

He was a kid a few years younger than him with a ponytail and three scar-lines running up his face. Surprisingly, he was the only one out of them who could pilot a plane despite being the youngest.

Which was impressive, sure.

Dante kicked his seat, "Hey Furball over there wants to shut the door, oi-"

The scarred teen interrupted him with a panicked voice, "Dante... Listen to this." Listen to what?

He made a stupid face "Huh, what are you talking about Zeph." The pilot shoved his headset against him before turning back to piloting, his eyes were wide and filled with fright.

Dante rolled his eyes as he put on the headset, flinching away at the static before he made out a semi-coherent voice.

"Holy macaroni... He's taking them all on, where's Undyne?"

The voice was rambling, he couldn't tell what was happening by his jumbled speech. "Alright alright, this is Monster-Teen reporting from the USF... Oh Sparda. Demons are attacking in numbers I ain't ever seen before.'

Zephyr spoke up over the transmission in that serious voice he liked to use, "I'm going to take us over Ebott, I'll have to turn around to make a clear landing-" Dante instinctively smirked, rushing towards the still open hatch and leaving Zephyr on his own.

'Just my kind of news! I've been itching for a fight ever since we left the city!' Ebony and Ivory were both itching as well.

The masked figure from before grabbed his hand as he tried to escape out the plane door, "What happened? Where are you going?" His voice must be softer than he intends, cause Dante didn't feel obliged in the slightest.

But he liked the Furball, at least. "Demon attack, my speciality!" He grinned with his eyes closed before turning back towards the door.

"Hey wait-" He reached out to stop him only to be stopped by Dante himself, his posture rigid and frozen as he witnesses the hell below.

The masked figure shakes his head, "Like I said, jerk-" His voice caught in his throat as he saw it as well, Dante could hear an audible gulp from the SDT.

"Dear Asgore..." He spoke as if all life had be drained from his voice.

Dante could only agree. In his crimson red eyes reflected a pitch dark landscape, the setting sun above painting an almost apocalyptic picture as thousands upon thousands of demons marched forward over the land, their numbers so great it seemed as if the very land itself had withered away into blackness. Fires sprouting in their wake, the army of infernals did little to assuage his bloodlust.

"The Seven Hells, since when are they capable of this coordination?" Came the voice next to him, shaky and unsure.

Dante smirked, "So what?" He gripped the sword on his back, wrapping his hands around the hilt of the...

Sparda.

The legendary sword glowed a dim red as he spoke, "One hundred, a thousand, doesn't make any difference to me." He smirked, his heart beginning to beat faster.

"This is what I live for!"

Suddenly, a door from the back of the plane shot open. And two pairs of eyes leveled from the shadows, one red, one green.

A devilish combination, he thought. A lithe femme fatale if he saw one, her body was built for killing. Tight muscles and an agile frame, perfect for scrapping... A skin tight body suit meant for withstanding heat and various paddings of armor over her tattooed arms, a deadly image.

With her knife strapped to her hip and her shotgun strapped to her back, it painted a picture Dante never wanted to forget.

He grinned, "Chara. "

She only yawned in response, rubbing her ruby eyes and placing her glasses over them.

"You're all way too loud."

Chara

Chara Dreemurr was not a morning person. She'd rather stay up all night and stare at the stars or practice with her blades, a simple cathartic release. She wiped the grogginess from her eyes as she exited the back of the plane, glancing towards the open door and covering her eyes from the light.

'Too bright.' She thought while covering her eyes.

It was too early for all the commotion and yelling, and yet she'd be a fool to not notice the commotion that was pressing.

She noticed Asriel first, his shivering. She quickly went to his side and grabbed his mutated claw, "Hey, how you holding up?" Their red eyes matched, "You do another all nighter?"

Asriel shook his head rapidly, "Chara... Look." He whispered as if he had no strength to speak.

The avian on her shoulder grumbled, turning his head 180 degrees towards the door of the plane. "He's right C-" He then saw just what was awaiting them below, "Holllyyy shit." Chara followed the sound of her familiar's voice, looking toward the exit.

Dante stood there with that shit eating grin of his, almost frothing at the mouth... In front of him.

Chara's mouth opened, her mute shock hardly expressed. She shook her head and rushed towards his side, getting a better look at the apocalypse below them.

"Hell..."

Dante leered at her, "Not the best sight after waking up, ey sleeping beauty?"

Chara ignored him, "The Seven Hells... Griffon you told me they couldn't organize on a large scale like this!" Her eyes snapped to the avian devil on her shoulder, his timid squawks piercing her ear drums.

He hopped from her shoulder onto the armrest of a chair next to them, "Listen C, I wasn't lying to you! Those mindless peabrains can't organize for the life of em, that means that behind all those Cainas and Hellbats and the titans, there is something bigger, meaner waiting." He cried, defensively holding is wings out.

Chara frowned and turned towards Dante, "We have to stop them from reaching NNH, you can help out right?" She narrowed her eyes, "Or am I going to have to pay you, again?" Dante laughed at her expression, only hardening it further as she punched him in the gut to no affect.

Dante covered his gut and raised a finger, "One kiss, that's all." He said with that shit eating grin of his, pressing his lips out.

Chara groaned and looked away from him in disgust, "I'd sooner kiss a Froggit, nevermind that..." A grin then overtook her lips as Griffon hopped onto her shoulder again.

Her raven black hair flourished in the wind as she stood tall against the vision of apocalypse, "I'm heading out." She prepared to leap only for the voice of Asriel to stop her.

His fuzzy hand wrapped around hers, holding her there in place. "Wait! Since when were you able to jump out of a plane without a parachute? And you're telling me you're going to take on that army, all on your own?" Chara slipped out of his grip, turning so that her back faced the outside world and rushing wind.

A perfectly thin smile appeared on her face, one Asriel had seen many times before... It was that creepy smile she always did to him. A familiar feeling of dread filled his soul.

Which meant...

Leaning backwards, Chara fell out of the plane with Griffon disappearing back into her body.

Dante

...

Asriel screamed at the sight of his sister ejecting from the plane, falling to his knees; he crawled over and watched her descend with terror in his red eyes. "Why does she never listen to me!" He looked towards Dante, who shrugged.

"Why doesn't she ever listen to me?" He asked again, groaning in frustration.

Dante chuckled and squatted down next to him, "Beats me. I think it's hot."

"You say that about every woman we meet." Asriel gave him a deadpan behind his mask to which the half-devil could only shrug and look away.

He then smirked, "Guilty." He then snaked a hand behind Asriel, slapping him on the tail and sending him out of the plane door as well.

Dante laughed and pressed a hand to his ear, the screams are audible even this high and at this speed. He Snickers, "Alright, Zeph! Land this baby while I take care of our little problem, you'll be safe in the USF so don't worry." He said before leaping out of the plane himself, leaving the pilot all on his own.

Zephyr sighs, "Once again, I'm left to do the boring part."

The wind washed over his face as he soared straight down through the clouds, his red jacket swishing in the wind, he shot towards the Earth like a meteorite.

The snow on Mt. Ebott still hadn't melted, it glistened in the light of the setting sun and gave him the perfect idea. His smirk only growing as the Seven Hells climbed up the mountain, taking the shortest route possible to NNH.

'Seems like it's time for an avalanche baby!' Dante unsheathed the Sparda from his back and held it in the air, a red glow surrounding him as the Sparda molted and shifted into another form entirely. A bludgeoning form.

Perfect.

Flipping backwards and locking the Sparda-Hammer onto his shoulders, Dante used Trickster to speed his descent down, runes following him as he went faster and faster until catching a flame!

The Sparda caught on fire as he tore it down from the heavens and allocated the blunt devastation entirely onto a single demon.

Evisceration, the demon was liquefied from the kinetic energy alone.

A shockwave rushed over Mt. Ebott as thousands of tons of rock and snow shot into the air, flying over the the army of hell-walkers and crashing down towards the Earth below as an avalanche of unheard of proportions tore down the mountainside of Ebott.

Dante soared into the air with a flip and planted his boot against a frightened hell bat, ripping it's wings off and falling back to the Earth; he used the corpse of the demon as a snowboard.

"YEAH WOH HO HOOO!" He cries as he slid between demons and and falling debris using the hellbat as his vehicle.

His grin never faltered, "This is what I live for!" He laughed while spinning the air, kickiny his 'ride towards an ogre demon and practically teleporting before jutting his lithe legs out in a heavy drop kick towards the bloodied ogre, three tons of solid demon flying through the sky like a cannonball fired from a railgun.

Dante landed on his victim, drawing Ebony and Ivory before unleashing a volly of bullets down every which way, piercing heads and exploding them into misty viscera.

The scent of bullet casings filled his brain with a simple ecstasy.

The Devil Hunter then did a single drawn out back flip while aiming his pistols downwards towards the Hell-Ogre, charging up a red flame around his arms before unleashing two enflamed shots from his ebony and ivory.

The Hell-Ogre shot back towards the mountain like a meteorite, kicking up more snow and debris while crushing dozens of demons to death, all the while Dante became cyclonic in mid air while unleashing a further storm of bullets upon the Earth and the hell-walkers who plagued it.

Dante landed with an exaggerated flare, "Let's see you beat that, Princess!" He hollered at the sky, the stench of blood harkening his style.

And then, from the mist kicked up high into the sky; an avian figure shot through it with snow and ice trailing its wingspan. Griffon had grown thrice in size, carrying his summoner on his back as he tore through the hurricane force winds and destructive rampage following Dante.

Chara

Chara was mounted atop her familiar, smiling dangerously as the air rushed by her ears and pushed her hair all the way back. "You know Griffon, have I ever mentioned how cool you are?!" She joyously cried over the wind and avalanche around them, scratching the top of his head.

His cheek feathers ruffled, "You could do with mentioning it more often eheheheh! I am pretty awesome, check this out C!" Lightning charged between his feathers, coiling all over his infernal body.

Her familiar cawed in defiance as a few hellbats rushed around them, their enflamed maws preparing to attack only to be struck by a pillar of lightning each. Ripping through their flesh and crushing them to the ground below as Griffon preformed a Sidewinder through another one, spraying gore all over them.

Chara groaned, flinging the viscera off her body. "On second thought, you need your ego checked if you think that was a good idea!" She grunted out as demon blood ran soaked her from head to toe.

"Hey! Don't go switching up on me now C!" Her familiar said with a terrified voice before taking a sharp left, dodging a fireball. "Woah! These guys sure ain't happy!"

Chara dawned a thinly smile, getting lower like a panther preparing to strike. The tattoos on her left arm begin to glow a solid purple, "Get me closer Griff! I'm going to take them on myself." She demands, taking the dagger from her hip and wielding it in a reverse grip in her right hand.

'It's time to see how strong Dialou's dagger really is...' Unlike her old Real Knife, the dagger was three pronged and entirely gray/black bar the single, tiny red gem at the center of it's guard.

A deadly weapon.

Her familiar crowed softly, "You sure that's a good idea?" Chara ruffled his feathers in response, smiling with gratitude unbeknownst to him.

The air rushed between them, "I'll be fine, I have you three remember. Let's do it!" She cried as they approach the bottom of the valley where the main mass of demons are, the ground coming closer and closer.

Two hundred or so Hell Caina, dozens of hell bats, an Angelo-Knight riding a young Greyon... And two hell-Ogres. Not to mention the countless other legions of hell-walkers, titan demons standing taller than the mountains around them.

'Think present Chara! We'll take them all down, just work with what you can for now!' She shook her head, narrowing her eyes and letting her thin smile curve ever upward.

She could leave the fodder demons to her summons, they would do the job just fine... But only for the moment, she'd have to finish them off eventually... Unless. She could sacrifice some energy to make them stronger, strong enough to kill.

Not to mention... 'If I can kill one of those hell-Ogres I should have enough energy to summon him... Just as long as I avoid the Greyon's time bubbles, I should be just fine!' She nods and stands to her full height, crossing her arms as the wind rushes by her, red eyes shining in the golden red light of the sun.

Leaping into the sky, Chara growled as the sudden deceleration hit her frame. "You're not getting close to my town!" She roarer as Griffon charges up behind her, a flash of lightning striking his body and casting a deadly silhouette behind the red soul.

"Alright C! You're up!" He cried and unleashed a hurricane force wind from behind, sending her plummeting towards the Earth, the legion of hell-walkers all watching as a meteorite crashed towards them.

Her eyes burned, light trailing from her vision as her smile grew. "SHADOW!" The tattoo on her left arm roared to life, bleeding into existence another familiar.

One far more deadly.

"ROAAARRRRR"

Leaping out of her soul in a macabre style, a Panther black as night roars to life and shoots through the air with his jaws opened only to transform into a drill, its liquid body easily mailable. The air begins to heat up in front of him as he rotates violently.

In a shower of viscera, Shadow ran through the Angelo-Knight and pinned it to the ground, grinding its body into a messy pulp as the Greyon mount behind him freaked out at the sight of its master turned to a pulp.

The mailable summon then transformed into a ball of spikes before shooting out in all directions, impaling anything in its wake. Viscera, crimson red rain.

Flying through the air, Chara squinted as the wind rushed past her glasses only for her eyes to widen. A scythe raised to the sky in her trajectory preparing to cut her down; a hell Caina chucked at her by one of the Hell-Ogres. She grit her teeth.

Raising her dagger to meet it, Chara parried the scythe at high speeds and span through the air slightly off course. Reigning on her surroundings, the Devil-eyed warrior woman roared, summoning Shadow beneath her to catch her fall. The familiar cold of Shadow's essence wrapped around her, comforting violence.

"Go!"

The two predators slid over the terrain and through their ranks, Griffon striking from above with lightning as Shadow strikes from below, incapacitating dozens of Cainas. Her smile thin and her eyes large, she relished in the gore.

But Chara had her eyes on a bigger target.

As if reading her mind, Shadow coiled around Chara's body and used his own elasticity to sling-shot her through the air, wind whirling by her ears as her muscles tensed.

The Ogre ahead narrowed his single eye only for a blade to pierce right through it, a flash of light above his head as Chara reappeared with her hand around the hilt of the blade lodging deeply into its eye.

The Ogre didn't even have time to react before she twisted herself over the beasts head, her soles steady as she unholstered the shotgun strapped to her back and pressed it against the furless head of the Ogre.

The Hell-Beast's head exploded into a fountain of viscera, the force from the Coyote-A and her own strength sending her into the air with a small flip before Griffon caught her by the shoulders. "One down, one to go!" He said, making a loop in the air before flinging his master once more.

Rolling and handspringing into the air, the Devil-Summoner called upon Shadow, the shape shifting demon curling around her body before taking the form of a spear in her grip.

Darkness covered her hand as her smile curved infinitely more, she gripped tightly onto the black infernal spear before somersaulting in the air and releasing it with a mighty throw.

The spear tore through the Ogre's arm and pins it to the ground, a cry of pain echoing through the area as it tries to tear away from the pain like a rabid beast.

And yet, more so than a beast; it focused and caught the descending Chara in his grip, fingers curling around her body with intense pressure. Her bones groan beneath its grip, a grunt, the blood in her mouth... Her smile never wavering.

The air washed over her skin as the ogre lurched forward, roaring. It then used its leverage to catapult her down range, her body tumbling through the air as her skin tore away.

Skidding against the hard rock and valley terrain, Chara felt the familiar cold of Shadow cushioning her fall and soothing her pain, only for a beam of purple light to barely miss them, liquifying the ground in a line as they narrowly avoided.

Heat against her skin, Chara cursed underneath her heavy breath, 'Damn! Never give Ogres the chance to counterattack!' She realized as another beam liquefied the rock below them.

Griffon was pelting the Ogre with shots of electricity, but it was doing hardly anything, merely agitating it further while dancing between its blows.

"Nice try, ugly! You ain't touching a feather on-"

The hell-beast then with speed contradicting its size leaps into the air and wraps its large hand around the airborne familiar, crushing him down to the ground and reducing him to a soul-orb.

The milky white of her eye exploded Into a darkness, her smile straining.

Chara roared in anger, "Griff!" She rook off sprinting towards them, air rushing in and out of her lungs as her legs ache with every step. Her knife shimmering in the orange light as her speed kicked up a notch.

'My legs hurt!' But she pushed on, even as the smoke from the volcanic molt fills her nostrils. Her smile like the devils as her soles banged against the ground like a machine gun.

Shotgun raised, knife overlapping in a two pronged style. Chara tore through Caina with Shadow by her side only to throw herself to the side, rolling and skidding away from another laser with her knife running into the ground.

'That's hot, can't let it touch me.'

Conscience bled into instinct, reactions, reflexes. No more humanity, a blackness began to grow over her skin in spots. The darkness of her vision, the darkness of her heart.

The Ogre's fist rushed down over her head and sent a shockwave over her skin as she evades using Shadow before firing a flurry of buckshot from Coyote-A, the shells being replaced instantly as the used ones eject into the wind.

Circling around the ogre and releasing shot after shot, "Ive had enough of you, ugly." She said with a calm deadly smile before sliding beneath the hell-ogre's legs and using the entirety of her strengths to stop herself, dragging her knife into the ground and spinning; she twists , kinetic energy running all the way up as the demonic energy inside her blood coalescence into the very tips of her index and thumb. Her eyes shut.

Snap

The darkness seeped out from her hair and dissipates, leaving behind her normal Auburn hair as her eyes opened above a thinly grin. The clouds above parting as a flaming fireball crashed towards the Earth with an inhuman cry. A piercing heat warmed against her skin as a rocketing sound predicates hell on Earth.

Chara doesn't move from her pose, the mighty hand of the Ogre rising above her head, the vibration of it's muscly body moving through the air... And yet she is perfectly still.

Impact

Nightmare crashed down to Earth and ran the Ogre down and into the rock below, liquifying the ground in its wake before disappearing once more into an illusionary despondence. The Ogre skidded and crashed against the ground, digging its heels into the Earth trying to stop itself.

Appearing behind the hell-beast, Nightmare's single eye flashes, its gigantic fist crushing against the back of the Ogre and running it through all the way, blood and viscera showering from the gaping wound as Nightmare pulls its fist back.

Showering Chara with viscera, her smile never wavered. Humming with a eldritch chime, nightmare dissipated into the air and reappeared once more by his master.

The darkness in her eyes fell away, her smile fading from view and revealing her tiredness.

Chara breathed heavily as the beast from the darkest pits of hell appeared from the ground next to her, sweat running down her face as the black hatred seeps back into her red soul, the spots over her face disappearing.

Griffon landed on her shoulder, once again at his normal size. "Wow. I'm not tryna be hyperbolic but, wow." Chara snorted, shaking her head at his theatrics.

Her breath returned to her at last, taking breather. "Yeah, wow." The bodies strewn across the land now after their short battle... Harrowing, but eventually they will all burn back into infernal nothingness and return to hell.

Groaning as a sharp pain isolates in her rib, she clutches her side and kneels to the ground. "Darn... Gosh, that ogre..." His mighty hand around her squeezed her before tossing her away like a ragdoll... She coughed and raised a finger to the concerned Griffon.

Falling down from her shoulder, Griffon hopped over to her on his claws. "Hey Hey what's the matter huh? Don't tell me-"

Her frantic voice interrupted him, "No, no... It's not that." She coughed before swallowing, shutting her eyes tightly and taking a step back before sitting down fully. Nightmare molted into the ground once more before crawling up her skin and taking his place in her hair once more, Auburn becoming Raven black.

She shook her head, "I just... I heal a bit slower than Dante or Vergil, hell even you guys." Giving Griffon a weak grin, the avian demon merely ruffled his feathers and scoffed.

"Fine fine." He relented before tilting his beak, "Hey, where's that shit-faced son of Sparda anywa-" His answer was given when a hell Caina splattered on the ground next to them.

Griffon

'Of course that show off just had to prove me wrong...'

Tracing the trajectory, Griffon instantly darted into the sky and followed the sound of gunfire, the smell of led casings being ejected from a cylinder, the whole shebang.

It wasn't hard to find Dante, ""Legendary"" Devil hunter, "Peh." Griffon grunted to himself while flying down to meet the man himself.

The smell of blood was pungent, it seemed like a river had come through the valley with how much of it caked the ground and everything around Dante included. The Devil Hunter was bathing in the blood he'd wrought, his arms raised to the sky as he stood upon a mountain of corpses only to stack them neatly into a chair.

'Does he thinks I'm not watching him? WOW, what an idiot.' Griffon snickered to himself while approaching from above.

"Hey showoff! Where have you been huh? Busy having fun with your new toy huh?" Dante slightly flinched at his voice.

He almost immediately played it cool though, his familiar grin that made you want to shock him... Yeah, it was there. "Heh, hey featherface, you guys finally finish up with your side?" He said before taking a seat on the pile of corpses he created for himself.

He shoved the Sparda into the ground, propping himself up. "Where's the princess?"

Flying around his head to put the pressure on him from every direction, the avian demon kept talking. "Oh she'll be over here, but why don't you answer me a simple question?" Dante followed his movements with a casual glance, not even turning his head.

"What was that avalanche for huh? You know how hard it is to fly in an avalanche? Not very fun y'know, in fact C almost got knocked off because-"

A pair of hands shot out and wrapped around his throat before tossing him away at high speeds, "OF YOUUUUUU!" He cried as he went into the distance.

Dante rolled his eyes, frowning. "Hate when people talk more than me."

Chara

Sliding down the hill, instantly the stench of blood filled her nostrils as she stepped into what seemed like a gigantic puddle of it. "Ugh, smells like Vergil came through here." She waved her hand in front of her nose.

"You're still comparing me to my brother? Damn, what does a guy have to do!" Dante chuckled from his seat atop the pile of corpses, the Sparda shaking with him.

Chara stopped right in front of him, crossing her arms with an unimpressed look. "I mean, you can't blame me can you?"

"Hey! Me and him are totally different! Can Vergil Royal Guard?" Chara hummed in response, giving an agreeable shrug.

Dante cheered, pumping his fist. "Alright!"

He then fell on his ass after the corpses below him disappeared into infernal energies, returning to hell. Now that made her laugh, more so at his expense. "I'll give you that, you are hilarious, even if unintentionally."

Dante grumbled.

And then a scream pierced through the air.

The two pairs of red eyes whirled towards the heavens only to see a white blur falling to the Earth.

Chara's eyes shot open, "Asriel?!"

No time, she had to-

Crash!

Asriel stood, or rather, quaked, in the small crater of his own making. The mask on his face shuddering as his entire body quivered from the fall, but otherwise...

He was unharmed, his arms and legs covered in both clawed gauntlets and grieves of light.

Two minutes earlier...

Asriel

"DANTEEEEEEEEEEEEEE YOU IDIOT!" He cried as he fell to the Earth, watching Dante soar by him with a shit-eating grin on his face as he dived towards the Earth at high speeds.

Asriel shook his head, the wind rushing up through his vines and his fur. "Alright! Think think! I, golly... Um!" Despite his situation, currently falling to the Earth from a plane of all things, there was something he was slightly more apprehensive about.

He probed his mind as the air rushed by his ears, 'Hey... Beowulf?' He asked the devil laying dormant inside of him.

"Hm?"

He gulped, smiling as kind as he knew how. 'You think you could...?' He tilted his head towards the quickly approaching ground, his visage becoming more and more panicked.

"..."

The prince made a deadpan behind his wolfish mask, his eyes drooping.

"NOW IS NOT THE TIME FOR THIS BEOWULF!"

"SILENCE, LOW BORN!"

Asriel growled, his maw curving upwards. "Stop being an idiot for one second, I'm not going to take this from you!" Arguing with a Primordial devil from the beginning of Mundus' reign was not something he expected to be doing in a freefall from the sky.

But he's done crazier things, so.

His words contained heat, "You need me, you want to meet Vergil again don't you?" He probed the devil inside of his makeshift soul more and more, poking at him mentally as the Earth came closer and closer.

He began to panic, his voice cracking as he cried out. "BEOWULF!"

"... Accursed lowborn, fine."

He was too busy screaming to notice the flash of light around his body, clawed gauntlets appearing over his hands and shining as bright as the stars themselves, a pair of likewise greaves flashing into existence over his legs.

And then he hit the Earth, feet first.

Chara

It seemed Asriel finally had his own life threatening fall, while it wasn't funny at the moment, it would be in the future. She helped him up after he collapsed to the ground in shock.

'Just like when we were kids, huh.'

Pulling her masked brother close to her, Chara glared at Dante. "C'mon Azzy, you're fine." She whispered to him.

Asriel rubbed his hands together, laughing. "Yeah, I'm fine, fine as can be, just dandy."

His knees were still shaking.

Chara sighs and runs a hand over his arm, patting him on the shoulder. Dante for once scratched the side of his head, his way of showing guilt she supposed. But Dante was the type of person to think In the moment instead of long term, in other words.

Her exact opposite.

Speaking of his exact opposite, "I wonder what Vergil would say right about now."

Dante rolled his eyes, "Probably call me stupid and prattle on about responsibility and motivation, y'know, typical for him."

"You make it sound like it's a bad thing." Asriel interjected with a sour tone of voice.

Dante tsked, but stayed cool, shrugging. "Sure."

For a moment, that was it... It would take a moment for the rest of the demonic forces to reach them, for now... they needed to recuperate. Only, the distant rumbling in the Earth, all their eyes darted towards the vision of the setting sun over two titanic beings, their body's reaching above the clouds themselves... Titan class demons.

Dante grunted, placing the Sparda on his shoulder. "Looks like another job for Dante." Runes began to coil around his body, red electricity arcing all around him.

Only for Chara to stop him, giving him a stern look. "You aren't Vergil, Dante, don't bite off more than you can chew..."

That stopped him, he tensed at her words and sighed. He shrugged her off and gave her a cocky grin, "I beat the Corpse of the King, you think these overgrown monkeys can stop me?" He then gestured to the Sparda on his shoulder, "Plus babe, I have this."

Chara rolled her eyes at his question, ignoring his last comment, "Just... Be careful." She said, eyes softening.

Dante blinked twice, his red eyes widening. "Okay, worrier." He says nothing more, turning to the distance and releasing a sigh.

He shook his head before a lightning bolt strikes his body, transforming him from human to devil in an instant. He took one step forward, and much like a proton...

He moved through the world faster than the eye can see.

The wind washed over them as he shot forward like a cannon, knocking Griffon back from where he came from, again. "CURSE YOU DANTEEEEEEE!" He cried out as he went, once again.

Chara sighed and lowered her hand from the incoming wind, glancing towards Asriel who was still deep in thought, she could tell even with his mask. But now wasn't the time to talk, they had to keep moving until they found Asgore.

But the world was never so simple...

Just as Dante left, another Devil took his place. Crashing against the ground in front of him with black wings dark as knight shooting out and shadowing them from the sun's light, this infernal and grotesque creature... It carried far more power than any demon before it. Its armor was blood red and a dozen pairs of horns jetted from his maw, its face, and its head.

Two green-yellow eyes shot open in a flash, not a pupil in sight. Heat released from the jagged maw of the devil standing in front of them, blood dripping down its face and down the trident it wielded.

Another hurdle to face, Chara smiled in anticipation. Her tiny form bared against the gigantic devil ahead of her, its wings coiling over her and pulling her further into darkness...

Into hatred.

End of pilot.

What? You thought stories start at the action? Nah, sorry, but you're gonna have to hear the rest of this little story of mine first. Before all of this, before the demons became a bigger threat, and before I realized what really mattered... This story started much smaller, this story started as a tale of a young woman trying to do what's best for her people.

And it ended the same way, too.

A/n: Pilot huh, well yeah. This is just a taste of what's to come from Sin Trigger once I'm finished with Devilish Fortune, which you should totally check out by the way.
