Time for Chapter 4 of Guarding Vale: A VPD Story.
Headreviewer mk2: I mean who doesn't appreciate a Police Officer patrolling the neighborhood, educating and keeping the little tikes safe. Definitely not the married mothers of those kids.

Standing at attention in front of their bunks, each cadet was lined up and standing straight as Sergeant Moore and Lieutenant Burgundy inspected their uniforms. The group's uniforms were lint free, buttons polished to a shimmer, their boots reflecting the faces of their inspectors.
Jaune and Cardin stood by their bunks, awaiting the scrutinizing eyes of their superiors. Both dare not look anywhere else but forward. The looming figures seemed ten times as tall as they began their inspection. With a few quiet grunts they approved and passed over. Finishing off with the rest of the Cadets before standing by the exit and facing them all.
Lieutenant Burgundy stood forward and addressed them. "Cadets, your work is fair, your uniforms stand as a reminder of the habitual dedication we put forth every single day. Your weekend leave is granted. You must return to the Academy by 11:30 PM. Sergeant?"
Stepping forward Sergeant Moore crossed her arms behind her back and spoke. "Group C, DISMISSED."
The two exited out the door, leaving the entire group to give a large sigh of relief. Smiling in joy as they had passed the test. Though with leave now granted, there was only one thing on the cadets there. At the head of the room Charlie shouted to them all.
"To the club!"
"YEAH!"
They all screamed as they ditched their bobby helmets and dashed out the door. Looking forward to celebrating the passage of three weeks of training. Catching one of the public buses towards Downtown vale for a night out on the town.

"So Cardin? You're a local right?"
Cardin looked over to Alice, giving a straight nod as he kept his tone steady.
"Yeah? So?"
"You must know some pretty good spots to eat huh?"
"Yes, though they're not the trendy kind if that's what you're looking for."
Charlie piped up. "That's the kind of place we're looking for after we hit up the club. We're not all strapped for cash.
The group murmured in agreement. Clubbing was one thing but getting a well priced dinner was a major element to their plans for the night. They didn't have a Schnee bank roll at the ready so cheap eats it was. Cardin seemed to think for a minute. Selecting a few places in mind.
"I know a couple of places, anyways which club are we going to?"
Jaune brought up his phone, using it as a GPS to guide them all. "It's called Junior's, and we should be nearing it.
The sound of bass boosted EDM came from the distance. The group rounded the corner to reveal a line of people outside of a building. A neon sign with the signature "Junior's" illuminated the street below it. Without any delay the group hurried over and waited in line. Shuffling along they soon came to the head of the line.
The Bouncer looked at the Cadets. Each raising up their Academy ID. Glancing inside the club then to them he moved the ribbon back and let the group inside.
Location: Junior's
Time: 5:40 PM
"I Burn" (Remix version) starts playing in the background.
"Oh, boy.."
"Oh lighten up Jauney! Loosen up a little."
"You're making that sound easy."
"Just trust me, now Group Crap, let's party!"
The group of Cadets descended the stairs down into the club. Meshing in with the crowd. Alice lead the charge as she hopped right in. followed by Mavis, Sean, Lilah, Charlie and Petra. The less experienced members of Group C congregated by the bar. Jaune, Cardin, James, Bernie, Mary, and Jeb all at bar stools and or leaned against the bar.
A man in a black vest, white shirt and red tie approached the newcomers. He seemed apprehensive at first at the Cadets though he shook off whatever he was thinking and began to clean a glass.
"Well, Cadets, welcome to Junior's, I'm Junior and this is my club. I suppose you're all here celebrating something important?"
James nodded. "Surviving three weeks of the Academy."
"With 23 more oh so GLORIOUS months left to go." Cried Bernie with an exasperated voice."
Junior laughed heartily, enjoying the bit of sarcasm as he began pouring out some pints of beers. "Well congratulations are in order. Suppose I start you all out with a couple of beers huh?"
"Sounds swell, set us up, Sir."
Junior slung those glasses over to the group. Each grabbing their own and cheering themselves which was followed by a heavy swig. Their first drink of perhaps many to come. Jaune sipped his beer as he watched the rest of the club bounce to the music. Things were a little too fast paced for him. Glazing to the stool beside him Cardin seemed to share the same sentiments.
"Things going alright for you Cardin?" Jaune asked
Sipping his beer Cardin nodded as he cleaned his ear out jokingly. "Huuuh? What did you say Jauney Boy? I can't hear you over this loud music!"
"Whaaat was that Cardi!?"
"Whaaaaaaaaat!?"
By the end of the chain the two were laughing their asses off as they sipped their beers once more. Though the light hearted comradery was shattered by the sound of two voices off to Jaune's side. The two Cadets looked over to see two twins stepping over to them. Both wearing dresses with thigh high boots and furry scarf like things. around their shoulders.
"Well now if it isn't the boys in blue~" Said the girl in White.
"Come to arrest us? We've been real bad girls." Added the girl in Red.
Glancing to each other, Cardin and Jaune blinked for a moment as they began to assess their situation. The other Cadets seemed to have noticed and shuffled down a couple of stools to observe from a distance. Seeing their comrades depart from their side Jaune took a deep breath before turning to the twins. Switching the charisma inside of him.
"No Ma'am, we're here to apprehend another set of nasty folks, however if you'd like that to be the case, we can make it so."
Cardin nearly choked on his beer at the line. Surprised by the boldness of Jaune's attempts to pick up. The Twins on the other hand giggled at the attempt as they took places beside either Cadet.
"Nice try copper but you best try that elsewhere. Anyways I'm Miltia." She said to Jaune, leaning against the bar.
"And I'm Melanie, the question is now what your names are?"
Cardin placed his beer down to his side. "I'm Cardin."
"Jaune, it's lovely to meet you two."
Miltia giggled again as she looked towards Jaune. "It seems I've got a gentleman here Mel. I wonder what you've got there."
"From the looks of things Mil? A real hunk. Just my luck." Melanie said as she leaned into Cardin. Tip toeing her fingers up his chest to his neck.
The twins obtained their intended effect. The boys were flustered and blushing at the cheeks. Certainly their training earlier in the week was meant to help them maintain professionalism while on duty but nothing about being in a nightclub on leave. Cardin and Melanie started tomelt away into their own little conversation whereas Jaune was left with Miltia.
"So I assume you and your friend here aren't actual Police Officers?" She said as she raised her hand to Junior, signaling for a drink.
"You're correct to assume such. We're here from the Police Academy, officially Cadet Jaune Arc of the V.P.A. at your service."
"My my, and what seems to be the occasion Cadet? Looks like a lot of your fellows are here tonight."
"We're out celebrating surviving our third week of training. Though it's not speaking much when we have 23 more to go."
Miltia chuckled at the reasoning but understood. "Well, I hope you all come back for your 15th week celebration. Must be tough though, a lot more cramming and material in that amount of time. Huntsman academies last four years and they must seem like a vacation compared to the Police Academy."
"Well it's a yes and no to that. I never went to a combat school or Huntsman Academy but I can say that there are a lot of things to learn. On top of early morning PT and equipment servicing."
"Looks like you've got some progress to show for. I wonder what else the Academy teaches you. Any.. interrogation techniques?" Miltia leaned against Jaune and began to wrap his arm around her.
Looking at her and what she was doing, Jaune seems to blow the safety valve on his boiler. Sure it was bold but she was forward, really forward. Not wanting to seem like a chump he returned the action by wrapping the arm around her waist. To which she hummed happily at the response.
"They save that for the Detectives. Anyways, may I ask you for a dance?"
"Ever the gentleman, why of course." She led him off to the dance floor.
Jaune's dancing was quite skilled. Having six elder sisters and one younger one to attend to he picked up a lot of stuff. A lot of the things they were into and helped to learn. Things were going quite well. Miltia seemed impressed by his moves which lead to some of her own but it only seemed to make him blush.
Time: 6:30 PM
At the bar Cardin seemed to be getting quite close to Melanie Malachite. The girl was sitting on his lap with a drink in hand as he did with his. The two chatted quite fondly about things. Getting a laugh out of one another. The rest of the Cadets had joined back up at the bar. Watching the very intriguing scene play out. Even placing bets.
Jaune soon returned back to the group with Miltia in tow. Following their gazes he'd began to smirk a little.
"How long has this been happening?"
Bernie looked to his watch then back to Jaune "40 minutes, 10 standing and 30 sitting on his lap. Bets are still open if you want t-."
"50 Lien that this leads somewhere else."
"A betting man is in, it seems that all are accounted for. Bets are closed."
Alice perked up and spoke as she pointed. "Look!"
Melanie seemed to slip off of Cardin's lap. Finishing her drink in an instant which was followed by Cardin and his beer. She dragged him by the arm to what looked like the bathrooms. Cardin sporting a very goofy grin.
"SCORE! Pay up fools, Bernie crunch the numbers cause I think lady luck is shining on me now."
"A handsome jackpot, though a payout should be able to cover the drink expenses which leaves plenty left over for some dinner."
"Sounds good to me, I'll use my share to pay the tab so we can split once Cardin and his new friend finish."
Time: 6:46 PM
The two exited out of the bathroom. Slightly messy clothes though nothing seemed out of place. A parting kiss between him and Melanie sounded the cry for them all to depart. Jaune who was talking with Miltia saw the group departing then turning back to her.
"I suppose it's my time to saddle up and ride on out here."
"Well don't be a stranger, Sheriff. Just remember you got my number there in your scroll." She finished with a quick peck of his lips. Drawing blood to his cheeks.
Walking off with a happy face Cardin and Jaune rejoined their group of Cadets. Off to find cheap eats to satisfy their alcohol induced bodies.
As they left Junior called the twins over to the bar. He seemed red hot angry at the two though the they seemed quite happy with themselves. Giggling and sharing with each other the different things they learned about the two boys.
"The boy has arms Mil, he could probably take them and throw you to the moon. But the kid's not a bad kisser either, to his credit he seems experienced."
"Mmm sounds like a fun time, but Mr. Gentleman was an absolute novice despite those bold words. I could feel that he was nervous a little but he seemed like a really nice guy.."
"You always were a sucker for those, I blame those books you've been reading-"
"HEY! You two need to knock it off cause I don't know what you were thinking getting fisky with those Cadets in here."
The twins gave Junior a roll of their eyes as they both replied "Whatever."
"Like hell it is, you realize what that could mean? Suppose they tell their friends? Suppose we more cadets coming down here. I ain't in the kind of business that is kind to those kids. I don't want more coming down here, helps lead the authorities closer and closer into our operation.
"Okay Junior we get it, Police are bad news. I suppose we could just ghost them in the end."
"Good, that's what I want to hear, now go on and enjoy yourselves tonight. Seems that you've had quite the entrée." Junior said as he went to tend to other customers.
Mel and Mil nursed the drinks left for them by Junior. Glancing back at the dance floor and the blaring music screaming through.
"Hey Mil?"
"Yeah?"
"It's super weird, but I think I'm starting to like the taste of a boy in blue."
"Ew gross Mel!"

As Group C found themselves at a quaint little diner, one Cardin had picked out for them all. It felt warm and cozy, welcoming to the now tired Cadets. Hot coffee and comforting classics brought them back to a place they called home. Over at the counter Jaune and Cardin dug into a pancake platter. The former looking to his partner and nudging him.
"So, how was that little escapade huh?"
Cardin grew the goofiest smile known to man. "Absolutely fascinating.."
Some fluff for you all tonight! To be perfectly honest I enjoy writing the hell out of fluff. A hearty welcome to our favorite employees and employer at Junior's. Hope you all liked that little scene there. Perhaps more to come but keep those eyes peeled. Opposites can attract but should two Cadets tread close to the Spiders Web? Who knows?
A few more things when it comes to certain details. Changing from what Ice Queendom portrayed, I am changing the standard police uniform to the Academy Uniform. So that means both Cadets and normal Police Officers will be wearing the same sort of uniform. Just different insignias and kits. Another detail is hair, specifically Jaune's. Frankly I've never been too much of a fan of the shaggy look. However with professionalism comes grooming standards. Jaune during his Academy Arc does have his Season 7 hair, ALBEIT NO BANANAS. For a reference look to Seshirukun on Deviant Art for Jaune's hairstyle. The modelers screwed the pooch with Jaune so this is my little part in redeeming the haircut. Anyways this is RSR signing off for the night.
