Look upon me
Normal POV
Alicent couldn't hold back the burst of emotions she felt as she pushed the heavy doors of her chambers open to greet her husband, King Viserys who was once again deep within his carving hobby of his little kingdom before him.
"Is it true? Is it really true?" she asked, her eyes wide with disbelief. King Viserys looked up at his young wife, a smile growing on his face.
"It is true. The Wincotts have accepted the marriage proposal of Aemond to their daughter Nyra! After traveling to many parts of the world they have finally decided to stop moving and join our houses." he said. The Wincotts were a very special and powerful house much like the Targaryen and Velaryon houses. The two houses were known to have the ability to ride and take ownership of dragons, but House Wincott had the ability to both ride the dragons and actually speak to the creatures. To have this ability would seal the Targaryen name throughout history. For hundreds of years the Targaryen's of called upon the Wincotts to aid in battle of which, the house has answered and a high position within the courts of always been offered, however the past lord of the house has always respectfully refused. The first family of Wincotts were outsiders, from a land no one had ever sailed to and so they were deemed untrustworthy up until 50 years ago. Their current lord, Bruton Wincott had gained a friendship in King Viserys and the two fought in many wars together and he too had a wife, Veya, who Alicent had gained a friendship in as well.
Alicent was ecstatic as she walked toward him.
"And this means the houses will be one." She concluded. Viserys' smile grew as he stood up and nodded.
"Who would have thought I would be the one to bring it upon us." he said taking her hands. It seemed the Wincotts brought a wave of excitement and happiness to King's Landing every time word got around that they were coming.
"Have we started making arrangements?" Alicent asked. Everything had to be perfect. Viserys nodded.
"Games and celebrations are already being prepared!" he said happily.
"So it's true." The calm and collected tone of their son cut through their excitement and they looked in the doorway to see Aemond standing there with a slight frown on his sharp features. Viserys and Alicent looked at each other before facing him.
"It is. The Wincott's have agreed to the marriage." Viserys told and Aemond's jaw clenched as he looked away the anger apparent in his eye. Alicent took a step toward her child in confusion.
"Aemond, you've met Lady Nyra numerous times and you claimed, on numerous occasions, that she would make a suitable wife." she said. Aemond whipped his head to her, eye large with anger.
"That was when I had two eyes!" he snapped holding up two fingers before storming off. Alicent watched with a gentle sigh.
"It seems gaining a dragon wasn't worth it." she said lowly before turning to her husband who waved his hand.
"He will change his words once the two are married and spending more time together." he said. Alicent gave a positive smile. She knew her sons, what they were capable of. But when he was around Nyra, her youngest was different.
Nyra's POV
I simply floated face down in the water as I just kept my eyes closed. My father's vessel was nearing the harbor of King's Landing. They were all waiting for us. I simply wanted silence for a moment more before my world changes into something else completely. I could hear muffled shouting above me and I finally raised my head from the water and panted gently as I looked up at the boat beside me.
"Lady Nrya, please we must get you cleaned up before we meet the King and his family!" Alease, one of the servants yelled from above while she waved a white towel in the air. A rope was casted down and I swam over to it, grabbing it and immediately being lifted into the air. I had on a silk bind that wrapped around my neck and then around my thighs and two long piece of fabric that hung past my feet. Two soldiers helped me onto the boat.
"I don't see why I have to change. I enjoy exposing my body." I replied as Alease placed the towel around my shoulder.
"Oh yes and then you'll have all the cocks in King Landing raised before we even see King Viserys." My brother, Loche, replied. I looked at him and smirked.
"And then I would have won in our game." I replied.
It was… tradition for my family and I to partake in a coming of home sexual conquest whenever we returned to King Landing. My father and mother enjoyed teaching the king and queen a thing or two of what they have learned over countless voyages. Loche, my other younger brother, York, and I would make a habit of figuring out who we planned to fuck when we got there. My mother, Veya, was coming down the steps from the upper level. She was very beautiful with long black curls pulled back. She was in her late fifties, but her skin was so soft and elegant you'd think she is in her early thirties. She and my father are trying for one more child.
"There will be no sexual conquests this time my children. It is now time for our house to gain strength that will have our blood lines continuing for many years." she said. Loche and I looked at each other with annoyance.
"The prince she is marrying is not even set to be king." Loche said looking at Mother. She nodded.
"We do not need him to be king, but of high royalty nonetheless. The Wincotts will no longer be marrying within the family so the Targaryen's are the only best choice. They ride dragons, we ride and speak to the dragons. They will do anything to have that power and since the ability only resides in us women, Nyra was the only choice, if Loche could speak to them, then he would be first to marry." she said. My eldest brother scoffed and shrugged.
"Thank the many gods for that." he said. A shadow flew over our heads and we looked up to see the largest of dragons, Vhagar. I was enticed by her. No one has ever gotten close enough to Vhagar to speak to her. I walked to the edge of the boat looking at the magnificent creature.
"One day, we will have words." I pledged holding my towel close to me. I heard heavier footsteps approaching behind me. I smiled as my father, Bruton Wincott, the strongest man I had ever known, now stood beside with a hand on my shoulder.
"And so you shall my little serpent's tongue." he replied. I looked up at him and smiled. The sun bounced off his shiny bald head and his white beard was perfectly trimmed. We both looked up at the sky to see the dragon flying on. "I hear that your betrothed actually rides that dragon." I tilted my head.
"I would have thought her past owner, Laena Valaryon's, daughters would claim her." I replied.
"The god's had other plans." he said. Finally, York came from the deck. He liked the water and Father permitted him to learn from the many masters of the waters that joined our voyage. He was young and innocent and we got a long very well. All three of us did. Father finally turned and looked at us all.
"King Viserys and I will have much to discuss aside from Nyra's betrothed. I am not ignorant to the fact that we possess a power that no one else has. King Viserys will be expecting a marriage soon and then kids. But for now, you will all be on your best behavior. I have been heard talk that the rumors about Princess Rhaenyra and her bastard children is growing, but we do not pay mind to those rumors. I expect you all to… leave your charming marks on every one of the family from Targaryen," he said looking at our mother with a loving smile, "to Hightower and to even Velaryon if you must. But this goes without saying, no one rides a dragon unless it gives you permission."
We all nodded in agreement. The dragons from our land did not liked to be ridden even though they spoke to us and formed a bond with us. To them riding was a sign of ownership and you do not own a Wincott dragon unless it deems you worthy.
As our ship began to anchor to the familiar harbor, we noticed a row of white hair and soldiers waiting for us. York leaned in to me.
"I heard Prince Aemond is a serious and vicious fighter. Even the loss of his eye has not weakened his ability to see everything." he whispered. As our bridge was lowered, a few soldiers stepped down onto the sand first and parted as my father moved after, followed by our mother and then us three.
"Lord Bruton, you finally decided to bless us with your presence!" King Viserys boomed with laughter, arms out and walking with joy toward my father who mirrored his actions after we all bowed.
"Well a man has to see the world before he gets to white haired, aye my king?" he asked. Queen Alicent approached my mother happily.
"Lady Veya, it's so good to see you again." she said. My mother embraced her with such care.
"And I you your grace. Still as beautiful as ever." she complimented. Meanwhile I looked over at the queen's three children. Aegon was smiling just like his father toward York. I looked at Helaena who seemed to not be focused on the interaction. I always thought she was a strange girl. But finally my eyes landed on Aemond who stood tall and looked at our parents interactions with little to no interest. When he looked my way he seemed to stiffen and finally I got a full look of his face. His features were sharp and his lips were thinner than I last remembered. His eye patch gave his face more character as well.
Finally the prince looked down and my mother's voice reclaimed me.
"We are missing a few others. Where is Princess Rhaenyra? I hear she has gotten married to Daemon?" she replied looking around. King Viserys grinned.
"She will be flying in shortly. She will be very excited to see everyone again. Come I am sure you are all tired from your journey. We have a banquet ready in the mess hall. Let's get cleaned up and then we can all talk and catch up." he replied leading the walk beside my father. I noticed Queen Alicent's hands never left my mother's as the two began to walk. Soldiers surrounded us as we all began to walk. York immediately was enthralled with Aemon as Loche was catching up with Ser Criston Cole. I didn't know much about him, only from what my brother has told me. He seems very close to the queen, but in a romantic way. Helaena followed closely behind our mother's and I remained in the heart of the group.
It was frowned upon for a high born Wincott woman to ever walk too far ahead or behind a Wincott man. Everyone seemed to be happily talking about something. I was content with just listening to everyone. As we reached the Red Keep, the large doors were opened and waiting were a few other members of the court and as well as Otto Hightower, the Hand of the King.
"Lord Wincott. It's been too long." he said shaking my father's hand.
"Otto, aye it has." he said. The older man stepped aside so the royal party could enter. He smiled and bowed at my mother, then the princes and the princess and even my brothers as well. He looked my way and bowed his head further.
"Lady Nyra." he said. I smiled.
"Ser Hightower." I replied and passed him. I have yet to conquer him in a conquest, and I still wished to do so before I am no longer my own woman.
