"Just wait and see" said Joy boy with an excited look
The screen then shows that it was nighttime as the cracked moon shows but tonight might become special and change fate for two specific people then the screen shows Ruby walking around in the empty halls of beacon
"Hey, it's me wait why am I awake that late?" said red reaper
"Probably drank too much coffee again" said the cat Faunus
Why? You may be wondering well it's because she drank four cups of coffee for an all-nighter for trying to study for her history and math exams
"Huh I did not expect that from Ruby," said Weiss in slight surprise
"Hey, I can be responsible to you know" said Ruby little bit offended
Well, the reason why she was, because of a dare from what both her and her first best guy friend Jaune made
"Oh, dare I say this is interesting" said Yang with a smirk getting groans from everyone and being booed by Nora
If the winner gets the higher grade than then the loser must do something the other says for a month
"Hmm and what would be the conditions for the loser if one of them win" said the spartan girl
For Jaune it truly awful he said if he won, she would have to eat VEGETABLES and not eat cookies for three days THREE DAYS that's like ten years for her, oh she's going to think of something good for him for even saying that and besides she doesn't need vegetables she drinks milk
There was an exasperated gasp that came from a certain reaper
"No how could he do this to me I thought we were friends!" said Ruby in a melodramatic manner
"Ha good luck I've been trying to get her to eat her veggies since we were five and only got her to eat the bare minimum but gets her to eat vegetables, I'll stop doing my jokes of art for a week"
At hearing this everyone started praying for Jaune to win the bet even Ruby even though she thought it was worth it for no cookies for three days
'Sacrifices must be made for the greater good' dramatically thought with a single tear falling she never thought that the day will happen where will say heck after this she might want to make that dare happen with Jaune wait what she blushed at the embarrassing thought of what would she do if she won the dare?
Right now, she just was walking around the school aimlessly "I think I drank too much coffee I can't sleep, and the test will be tomorrow Urrghh" but then hears a piano being played, she looks at her surroundings and just noticed she wasn't at the dorms anymore and at another part of beacon and then hears someone saying something
"No that won't work no, that won't work either no ugh" and a cluster of keys played in unison
"'sigh' this won't work for her it has to be perfect"
"Hmm so I was correct on what the title meant so this will be about Jaune and Ruby ending up together in this possible future," said the green ninja which he was more quiet than usual, and that comment got multiple reactions from the girls a keen interest from a certain cat, a complete shocked one from a certain ice queen, a look of disbelief and despair from the spartan, complete embarrassment from the small reaper while hiding under her hood, and complete unbridled anger from a certain brawler
"What do you mean by that," said the brawler while her gripped tightened on the couch while it was slowly breaking do to her strength and for his own safety Ren decided to stay quiet and for some reason the tea seemed to be even more delicious
Then the curiosity came over the small reaper and went to the slowly and quietly opening the door and it was a music room
"Beacon has a music room?" said the golden Brawler in surprise
"Huh guess so," said Nora in surprise as well
"But what does this have to do with Ruby and the dolt?"
Both Ruby and Pyrrha give the Schnee a glare for the comment for their fellow knight
"Didn't you hear What Joy boy said before it's a romance so that would mean that-" Before Blake could finish her sentence someone stopped her by putting their hand over her mouth
"DON'T. EVEN. SAY. IT" says the now overprotective sister
With a certain spartan feeling jealous that someone will possibly take her knight from her, something in her mind was starting to form something … Dark
With the small reaper blushing in embarrassment that she will like Jaune, but her question is how, how will she fall for Jaune and then she thought of something will it work their relationship but before she could continue the thought process some said something
"Hey, look it's Jaune-Jaune," said Nora pointing at the screen in excitement to see her fearless leader and is curious to see what he will do
Then the camera shows Jaune on the piano just in thought with scroll on the side that looks like it was being used for something and Ruby was hiding by other instruments she didn't know why but she felt like she would see something … extraordinary
"Huh what gave that impression because I really see what they key point here" said the said Yang with a cheeky grin with a lot of groans as a respond from everyone in the room
"You lot don't know how to appreciate my art," said an annoyed Yang
"Well, if you want a more positive reaction all you need is the right timing that's what matters oh and the delivery of the joke also helps" said Joy boy advised, so Yang can do better on delivering jokes
"Please don't encourage her," said Blake starting to get a migrane
"Can we please go back to the reaction," said Ren trying to stop the conversation before Yang can do another 'pun'
But then they heard the piano being played and all turned to the screen

As Jaune played the piano then took a deep breath and started to sing

Everyone shocked that Jaune could sing so beautifully
'wow' thought Ruby in awe of Jaune singing
'there's no way that's the dolt' thought Weiss in shock
Ruby was shocked that her first friend could so beautifully, who knew his voice could be sweeter than any cookie any sugary treat she could think of and when hearing this so . . . soothing song

at that moment the light of the moon was shining on Jaune past the window as a spotlight was now on him as his stage for Ruby spectating this it looked almost
"Magical" said both Rubies in unison

as Jaune continues singing his heart out Ruby for some reason notices' his eyes reflecting the stars, why hasn't she noticed his eyes were the perfect shade of blue the shade that both sky and ocean would be super jealous of and with the reflections of the stars they looked like they were made of sapphires
'Why haven't I noticed that before they are beautiful and how cool Jaune looks' thought Ruby she could face reddening by how embarrassed she is by thinking of Jaune sing that song for her
"And I'd climb every mountain and swim every ocean Just to be with you and fix what I've broken Oh, cause I need you to see That you are the reason" then the scenery changed, they were inside a classroom but changed to outside a beautiful red forest of forever fall with the broken moon in the background upon Jaune the only thing lighting the forest"
"wha... what happened?" said Blake speechless of what just occurred that classroom turned to a forest
"Wow who knew he was a classic romantic" said Yang in surprise but also in awe of the romantic atmosphere
The one most affected was Ruby seeing this is making her heart skip multiple beats at once
"Well, this is miss Rose's perspective" said Joy boy matter of factly
Everyone looked at the man confusion written all over their faces
"I'll Explain after the reaction" said Joy boy sighing going to have to explain later
Everyone nodded in understanding that they will get their answer soon

When Jaune turned to look in to her direction Ruby shivered when looking into those blue sapphire orbs that are holding so much emotion it's like something is pulling her towards them and she wants to look away and hide in a hole in the look of does eyes it's like at any moment she could be devoured at any moment
And Ruby had the same reaction and was also drawn in by those eyes
'Maybe me and Jaune can be more than just friends, maybe best best friends ...right?" friends that word didn't feel like the right word to use, it left like a weird a taste in her mouth and she didn't know why
'Such innocence should be protected but oh well can't protect them forever it'll happen sooner or later' Joy Boy sighed at how innocent Ruby is at the moment since things will start changing also did, did I not say that I can read their minds too, no I don't think I said that should I even tell that I can even read their thoughts cause in reality we're in a book … nah things could get too complicated and he's too lazy to do much more

With ruby on the couch having the thought process and is as red as her name's sake and steam started to show a little
with some of the other girls
With Blake blushing a little and having a hard time trying to make sure not to have a bloody nose
Even Weiss wasn't unaffected from what small dust of pink in her cheeks indicate of how dapper the blonde knight looks in a suit
Pyrrha was taking mental images for later and having a runny nose while also noting to get Jaune that exact suit but maybe change the color scheme
With Yang "got to Admit Vomit Boy pulls of the look but still If he thinks if he can get away any funny business with my sister then he will be meeting an old acquaintance of mine," said an annoyed Yang while cracking her fist readying for a nice long talk
"Yaaaaaaaang stop" whined Ruby about her sister being overprotective
"You know that Jaune would never do that Yang" said Pyrrha
"Ruby are you ok?" said Jaune with a gentle and worried look on his face and seeing this Rubies heart starts racing and face as red as her name's sake then Jaune started shaking her with him repeating her name getting even more worried for his best friend while she's of to lala land and just thinking of Jaune in that black and red suit then the screen shows a fast forward icon
Then everyone looks at the direction of Joy Boy to see he has a remote pointing at the TV while holding the fast forward button
"Um not to be rude but what was that for?" asked Blake confused like the rest of the guests
"Do you really want to see Ruby slowly becoming a stalker for 20 minutes" said Joy boy questioning them and everyone including the girl herself were shocked the small sweet innocent girl being a stalker that was one hell of a 180 and something they didn't and or expect to happen and can't see that happening to the little reaper
"I would like to know why and how that's possible because to be honest I really can't see it I mean look at her," said Weiss pointing at the innocent little bean, just awkwardly waving back
"No, I understand believe me when I say this felt like a slap in the face first time seeing this to, but it was just a short phase, she was going through but very uncomfortable nun the less and it could have become worse if miss belladonna hadn't interfered," said Joy Boy pointing out the last part which surprised everyone in the room
"Tch how could it possibly get worse," said an annoyed Yang with sarcasm being the obvious
"Do any of you know the meaning of a Yan-de-re" asked Joy Boy quirking an eyebrow, confusing everyone but one
"WHAAAAAAAT!" yelled Blake making everyone but Joy Boy jump in surprise

"For more context here she and Blake had a discussion where Blake was helping her understand her feelings if her crush was either just that as it is just admiration or her feelings for Jaune are true and would want to be with Jaune so Blake thought of maybe she should get to know Jaune more in person slowly and try not to scare the boy of with how she was stalking him earlier and time skip three months later she found her answer" said Joy boy in a neutral tone giving others the information
They nod in acceptances, but Ruby raised her hand
"And what's my answer?" nervously asked Ruby
"Why don't we watch and see what happens," said Joy Boy and looked back at the screen and he pressed on the play button
As Ruby was taking deep breaths to calm herself down because she was going to do it, she was going to tell Jaune her feelings towards him, if Pyrrha didn't tell him, hers already that is
'Noooooooooooooo!' eternally yelled Pyrrha for her to soon to be love rival for gaining Jaunes affections a part of her wanted him to not feel the same way but another side of her wanted her friends to be happy with eachother and she didn't know what to do.
Then the door opens and then she turns and sees the person that holds her heart (unknowingly) Jaune, she starts panicking and is trying to stay seated and thinking of telling her crush her feelings became more difficult than she thought '
stupid anxiety why does he have to look so adorable in that dumb cute hoodie' while blushing
"Hey, Ruby, uh why did you ask for me in the music room?" Jaune asked and tilted his head cutely which made Ruby inwardly squeal at how adorable he was, to do that
"Well, I wanted to... sing a song is all" she said awkwardly and twirling her hair on her pointer finger a nervous tick she developed whenever around Jaune
"Aww she's twirling her hair that's such a first crush thing to do" said Nora with a teasing smile
With the reaper hiding herself under her hood trying to escape Nora's teasing and how awkward it feels to see yourself on screen and the others had to agree it was adorable how awkward Ruby was being with her first crush situation and certain brawler reluctantly agreed
'Gods why does this have to be adorable and so teasable at the same time I'm trying to make sure Ruby is safe damnit!' Yang trying to not to like the scene of her little sister's first crush and how adorable it's becoming
"Oh, really huh so that's why I keep bumping into you in the music room because you were practicing the piano that's good to have another hobby, you should have asked me to that way we could have practice together" 'and maybe get to know each other even more to' Said Jaune but thought the last part to himself after getting over Weiss
"Um yeah that... that sounds a good Idea," said the blushing Ruby looking down to the ground
This had varying affects for the others
Nora was whistling and cheering for her fearless leader
Ren was happy for his brother in all but blood for perusing happiness
Pyrrha was having an Emotional crisis (IDK If that's a thing or not) about being happy for Jaune but still wanting him for herself
Blake was slightly smiling that Ruby was growing and learning about relationships and hopes for happiness for both of them
Weiss she was relieved that the dolt finally stopped pestering her but worried for her partner on what the dolt thinks he's doing to her partner
Yang was NOT so happy but still reluctantly admitted it was cute
Ruby was red as her cape and having steam appearing out of on top of her head and passed out while saying 'he likes me' repeating the words over and over
"So now that you know that I was practicing an instrument and it's the... piano" said Ruby Mumbling the last part
"Hmm what did you say Rubes I don't have Blakes Fanus hearing Ya know" said Jaune in a joking manner
"(sigh) it's the … piano" Ruby sighs in defeat and is embarrassed to admit
"Aww she wanted impress him by using the piano that's 'so cute" said the exited pink ball of energy known as Nora
"Oh, okay then whenever you're ready Rubes" said Jaune getting a chair and sitting down to enjoy the show and maybe know how good at the piano Ruby is so that he can maybe help her
'Ok Ruby you got this just remember what Blake said' thought Ruby and the screen went completely white
"hey what's going?" asked a confused Nora
"it's a flashback" Answered Ren
As Ren said that then the screen showed both Blake and Ruby sitting down and talking "Blake what if Jaune doesn't feel the same or worse maybe would never want to be friends again!" yelled out a panicked Ruby
Blake puts down her teacup and looks up from her book and has a kind smile on her face
After Blake caught Ruby one time stalking on Jaune at night attempting to steal his infamous pumpkin Pete hoodie from his room Blake confronted her about her behavior which both had a long talk and Blake was surprisingly willing to answer any question that Ruby of what she is going through even if most were VERY uncomfortable, she answered her truthfully most answers traumatized her sadly but it explained a lot of things, like where babies come from
"! you did what!" yelled an angry Yang glaring at Blake who is just sweating bullets looking at the screen
"Where do babies come from?" asked Ruby in curiosity looking towards Blake with curiosity "Blake do you-"
"NO... no she doesn't know right Blake" said Yang in a sweet tone with a deadly aura Emanating from her
"y..y..yeah s..s..sorry I don't know where they come from" stuterd Blake as she shakes like a leaf out of fear for her survival
"Aww why does everyone I ask, don't know where they come from" said Ruby distraught, others would say that she was too young or didn't know where or to ask her dad or uncle but no they still wouldn't tell her why she drinks milk and she's a big girl so she could take of herself
"Ruby Do you really think Jaune is that type of person after getting to know him better, after what you told me about him the only bad thing, he would do is only, say no your overthinking things" said Blake in a gentle and wise tone
"But what do I do to tell him what if I mess it up so bad, he never wants to be-" before she could finish her sentence Blakes finger placed over her mouth indicating for her to stop talking
In those few months both Blake and Ruby became good friends where sometimes others would think that their sisters and, in a way, they were, of course she can never replace Yang, but Blake was like the sister that will give you advice whenever you need it, and no terrible jokes it's a plus
Blake felt happy that Ruby thought of her like even if Yang's glaring has sent an even more heated glare than the last one
"Ruby, do you want my advice?" asked Blake to which Ruby nodded "even though this is a cheesy thing to say just follow your heart it never steered you wrong did it," said Blake
"But what if he doesn't have the same feelings for me" said a sadden Ruby and just thinking about it hurts
"That I do not know" admitted Blake
"Huh? But-" before she could say anything another voice came into the fray and interrupted them
"No buts Ruby whatever you want to do is your decision for it's your life, so you get to choose what you want to do if Jaune doesn't feel the oh well but if he does congratulations because does are his choices and his alone but everything you need to do is to just take leap of faith for nothing in life is certain and more in our line of work Because maybe tomorrow or the day after that we may die in a fight so we enjoy the here and now with those we both care and respect" and the voice was revealed to be Lie Ren
"Look Renny it's you, it's you you're in this too" pointed out an excited Nora while shaking her childhood friend
"I see that Nora" said the green ninja while violently being Shaked by his childhood friend already used to the pink girl's antic's
"Ren! When did you get here? And how much did you hear? And why are you here?" asked an embarrassed Ruby and trying to hide herself behind the chair
"I got here a few minutes ago, to the point where you were having doubts on pursuing a relationship with my leader, and because I'm here for me and Blakes book club meeting" said Ren while showing a book which appeared out of no where
"But anyway, I recommend you hurry or someone else will take him from you," said Blake with a teasing smile
"You know your right" said Ruby feeling a little more confidence
"Thanks Blake, Ren I know what to do now" said a smiling Ruby as she hugged Blake and Blake returned it while Ren smiled and nodded his head and Ruby started walking away before going any further, she turned back to Blake
"You know that was pretty cheesy" said Ruby as they both chuckled
"Remember don't tell Yang about this" said Ruby with a pleading voice don't get her wrong she trusts her sister on almost everything with the word being used ALMOST, even when she loves her sister to death and tells her almost everything that she could trust her with but with boys on the other hand not so much and that she walks away while Ren wishes her good luck
While both Blake and Ren stay back Blake looks at Ren and asked a question
"Ren" calmly called out Blake
"Hmm" answered Ren while drinking tea that she prepared for him
"When are you going to ask out Nora" bluntly asked Blake with a teasing smirk
This caused the calm and collected Ren to do a spit take and cough while trying to calm down his flustered
"Where (cough) did this (cough) (cough) come from (cough)" said Ren with a flustered look
"Well, you should follow your own advice of taking a leap of faith" said Blake with a teasing smile
This caused both the pink bomber have an atomic blush with Ren also blushing and looking away in embarrassment and to use his semblance to calm himself down
"What I, ... why wouldn't you trust me Ruby, I would've given you great advise" said Yang a little hurt that her baby sister wouldn't trust her with such a thing
"Yang you are the punch first ask questions 2nd even if she told you would be on a man hunt out for Arc so it's for the best, she withholds that information," said Weiss matter a factly
"Awe you do care about our fearless leader," said Nora
"don't get the wrong idea I just don't want to be associated to someone in prison for attempted murder" said Weiss with a straight face
"aaaawwww so you do care Yang bestie," said Ruby while hugging Weiss
"Let go of me you Dolt!" said Weiss while trying to escape her partner's grasp
Back to Ruby in the music room with Jaune
Ruby took a deep breath 'follow your heart' were the words that she heard then began to play a cheery tone on the piano
And hearing the piano start to play everyone focused back to the TV

When the others hear his inner thoughts and see that Jaune has a secret crush on Ruby almost everyone smiles for the two
But two people had mixed feelings
Yang was both mad and proud of her sister doing something out of her comfort zone but it's for boy don't get wrong she's happy that Ruby is growing but that's the problem she's growing up TOO QUICKLY!
Pyrrha was finding this cute, but she was getting jealous that Ruby was brave enough to tell no sing Jaune about this and not mess up while when she tries to even tell him, she gets her tongue tied from trying to get her to express her feelings
"The ink flows down into a dark puddle Just move your hand,

Jaune was blushing when hearing Ruby'y voice it was gentle and sincere when hearing the song but decides to be quiet and enjoy the song while smiling

Jaune felt embarrassed but happy that he makes things enjoyable for everyone and he's happy to know That he wasn't such a burden or waste of space to others with how much he's dragging them down
"Jaune" softly spoke Pyrrha saddened that Jaune still puts himself down
"that's not true fearless leader," said Nora with sad look on her face
Ren was thinking the same even if Jaune had faked his way into Beacon he can see the hidden potential deep within Jaune he just needs some confidence to be able bring it out and Ren is willing to help his brother
Ruby was starting to see bits and pieces of Jaune's true self, he's kind, selfless, tries to help anyone he can however he can, he's dorky, and doesn't judge anyone if Fanus or human but he only sees himself as a failure, nope that won't do Ruby then made a promise to herself to help Jaune however she can to be more confident in himself
"When I can't even read my own feelings What good are words when a smile says it all"
When hearing this part something in Jaune felt like it was hit but not the bad kind for it was making him feel nice and warm and he liked this feeling
'Is this what love feels like?' thought Jaune to himself while putting his hand over his heart
"And if this world won't write me an ending, what will it take just for me to have it all Does my pen only write bitter words for those who are dear to me "
Those words for some reason resonated with him and he didn't know why maybe for him to be a horrible leader and Lier and person
"What no that's not true Jaune-Jaune you're the best fearless leader that anyone could ask for" yelled out Nora in acknowledgement for her leader and the rest of the team agreed whole heartedly

After finishing singing Ruby looked at Jaune who in return was looking back at her And Ruby thought three simple words
"I love you" she said as if it was the only and simplest truth and seeing the shock look on Jaune's face, she then looked at him confused for a second then it clicked
"Did...did I say that out loud" asked an embarrassed Ruby, her face slowly gaining a new shade of red when Jaune nodded his head
"Wow Ruby so bold" said Blake teasingly to her red-faced leader
"Blake stop!" yelled an embarrassed Ruby trying to hide her already flustered face with what she said to Jaune
'l...l...l... love I never thought of him like that but why did I say that to him love him oh Oum this is embarrassing' thought Ruby seeming she was the verge on passing out
Yang was still conflicted she was mentally cheering for her sister but part of her wants to go and beat the ever living hit out of Jaune for infecting Ruby

'Why do I feel like to make sure to avoid Yang and to make sure Ruby is around most of the time' thought a certain blond knight

As Jaune stands up and walks towards Ruby who is very nervous and flustered then gently puts one hand on her head and leans and gently kisses her forehead after that he took a few steps back and looked back at Ruby

"I don't know if anyone else just noticed but where did Joy boy go off to" pointed out Weiss to everyone else just noticed they looked around and no one saw the man that was once siting there, but now a note was now there in his place

"Oh, special keys, may I ask where they are" asked Ren but as soon as he said that the Keys that the paper explained all magically appeared into their hands

One person spoke
"Well as fun as that was, I think we should head back Jaune is probably worried" said Pyrrha heading back to the door to which they came, and all agreed and so off they went.
