Prologue: A Mischievous Uprising

Long Ago…In Another World.

Humans dressed in ancient Grecian-like clothing are in town running away from something. From someone. A dark-haired yet beautiful female being dressed simply in purple that possesses power unfathomable to man. Power that made her gigantic and rains purple and red beams onto mortals, displaying no remorse in her actions and instead sadistically laugh at how many become petrified underneath her divine wrath.

"STOP, GODDESS OF DARKNESS!"

To stop this evil from causing more destruction, Humanity's Protector appears before the Dark Goddess in the form of another woman that rivals her in beauty and size yet her hair is green and her heart is full of light and her body outfitted with an elegant and regal white dress. "I WARN YOU, I WON'T ALLOW THIS." Humanity's Guardian, the Goddess of Light, glares at her enemy whilst pointing her staff in a threatening manner.

"WHAT A SURPRISE, LADY PALUTENA." The Dark Goddess recognized with a sinister smile, "YOU DARE TO MEDDLE IN MY AFFAIRS? …I'LL HAVE YOUR HEAD BEFORE LONG."

In a Nexus World…Also Set in the Past.

A boy with brown hair and dressed in a Green Goblin Suit lies dead amongst the beachy ruins of a crashed battleship called the Helicarrier. The crash was recent, caused by a terrifying monster. Fires are flaring out of control. Smoke is everywhere. Walking out of the smoke is the monster that brought this destruction to the City that Never Sleeps. A Green-skinned, demonic-like Goblin wearing nothing but burnt pants and flames that envelops his arms and a scowl that furiously yells at, "PARKER! It's time for you and Fury to DIE! YOU WILL PAY FOR WHAT YOU DID TO MY SON!"

"You killed him yourself!" Web-swinging into the battlefield is the equally-enraged superhero that can do whatever a spider can. The Amazing Spider-Man confronting his arch-nemesis, the Green Goblin, for a final battle that will decide the fate of New York. "No one else dies tonight! It's over, Osborn! YOU'RE GOING DOWN!" Spidey declared, rushing at his foe to save the city and avenge his best friend, just as Palutena begins her immortal conflict with the Dark Goddess in her dimension.

The Present Day…

At an unknown location, the Dark Goddess appears to have survived her encounter with Palutena from long ago and is preparing her revenge. Sporting a longer, elegant dark purple dress that further emphasizes herself as the Light Goddess's counterpart, her sights now target a specific location at Nexus Earth: Oscorp Industries.

"GO!" The Dark Goddess ordered her evil forces to begin the secret interdimensional invasion.

A mystical portal opens next to Oscorp Tower that summons a hoard of strange, cartoonish demons that came from some Underworld that breaks through the windows of the building. The raid was sudden, swift, and as stealthy as possible to avoid attracting any unwanted attention. One-eyed tentacled monsters known as Monoeyes are exploring the building for something. Assisting them are skeletal-like Monoeyes called Ganewmede that massacre every Oscorp employee in their way with spitted-out spiked balls. Quickly after, their prize was found by winged, one-eyed frogs called Keron. That prize being an immeasurable supply of Oscorp Tech and ISO-8 Crystals that were locked behind a vault and are now being transported to homebase by the living whale-like transports called Belunka.

"Thank god for you guys. Thought tonight's patrol would be boring."

Suddenly, the Belunkas were impeded by the web-striking assault of Spider-Man in his Advanced Suit. He's here to retaliate against these mysterious invaders and he's doing it with style, dodging enemy fire and punching the eyes out of Monoeyes and shooting other monsters with his webbing before going all-out by unleashing a rising spiral of webs that vertically launches and destroys all nearby enemies.

But then it was Spidey's turn to be surprised when an exploding pumpkin bomb knocks him down during the fight. As he tries getting up, he spots his daunting assailant that appeared out of nowhere: a mysterious brown-haired Goblin dressed in a dark streamlined suit with some green features and wears retractable facial gear that hides his true identity. His goggles glow a mystical green that doesn't deter Spider-Man into quipping, "Okay. You have my attention."

In a frightening instant, this New Goblin proves to be Spidey's equal in almost every way. Every punch thrown is as powerful as the other's. The speed and reflexes to deflect the other's attacks share the same ferocity. Even as Spider-Man's superior battle experience pushes him to a corner, Goblin's cold ruthlessness surprises him by stabbing his chest with a green ionic sword. It took all of Spidey's strength to force his new rival to pull it out, and when he tries to retaliate, he's just as shocked to see blades protract from his arms that he struggles to combat against.

"You don't look as stupid as the other Goblins. Not as crazy and very quiet." Spidey quipped, countering an arm blade slash with a kick to his face. "About as strong as them." He noted before receiving a hard blow across the face, "Okay, really strong.", then just barely catching and really struggling against the arm blade that is so close into slashing out his eye, "And bloodthirsty!", before being punched back and tricking him into getting his blade struck into a wall so he can disarm then strike him aback, "But still so fun to embarrass."

Spider-Man then throws a powerful attack that is swiftly countered by Goblin kicking him across the room, crashing near the feet of the sudden Dark Goddess from the other dimension that is more human-sized now and looks very unimpressed by his pathetic mortal presence. "Hi. My name is Spider-Man and I'm assuming you're the big bad baddie behind this theft. Looking at your looks, I'm guessin' the name's Medusa or Ugly Snake Hair." The casual Spidey snarks at the god.

"Insect." Goddess of Darkness Medusa grimaced at the annoying mortal.

So disgusted by his insolent insult, Medusa fires a massive laser beam from her snaky staff that is so disgustingly overpowering that Spider-Man can do nothing but scream in agonizing pain against it, "GAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" The blast smashes him through several titanium walls, showing no signs of letting up until it blasts a massive hole outside of Oscorp and allows the now-unconscious Spider-Man to crash onto the streets below from falling a massive height.

"That was the famous Spider-Man? He was beyond pathetic even by mortal standards." Medusa mocked the hero she defeated with a single blow, before sternly turning to her Goblin slave, "Get the rest of the tech and ISO-8. This must be worth it if you want me to keep my promise." The Goblin complies silently, hurrying to secure the remaining material as she walks away musing underneath her villainous grin, "They all thought I was out of the game…But I'm holding all the cards now…", before exiting this reality through her magic portal.

The last of Oscorp's important items are transported to Medusa's World by her monsters. And as New Goblin is the last to flee, he is confronted from behind once again by Spider-Man who awoke from God's wrath with severe wounds. "Stop right there! Just where are you running off to with all that…?!" The panting Spidey asked his new enemy.

Looking over shoulder with a menacing look, New Goblin finally speaks, "I'll…", which interests the webhead until his Spider-Sense warns him at the last second of, "GET EVERYTHING BACK!", a pumpkin bomb that was thrown quickly and infuriatingly, exploding inbetween the two warriors to cover New Goblin's escape to the other dimension.

"I'm gonna be very busy." Spidey shrugged, acknowledging this new threat that he doesn't know yet is from a world of gods.

Spider-Man flees the crime scene upon hearing police sirens outside of Oscorp. But as the mortal hero swings into the rainy night, he remains blissfully unaware of another evil god that was watching everything from the nearest rooftop. "Good work, Medusa! The Goddess of Darkness and I are gonna have a Hel of a time with these dimensions! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" laughed Loki, the Asgardian God of Mischief that his own plans to conquer the twin universes of gods and mortals.

KFX Here: This feels refreshing after writing 16 chapters of nonstop racing. Fans from the past wanted New Goblin in this series. Here you go. I will do my best not to disappoint. New Goblin will have an interesting arc that more-or-less makes him the "Kratos" of this story.
