Pit: I'm Pit, servant of the goddess Palutena! Not all the time I work with heroes from other worlds to save the world. Lady Palutena formed the Goddess Avengers Alliance in order to stop Medusa from conquering two universes. We started by defeating Dark Lord Gaol, a general in the Underworld Army. With help from Magnus, we broke her free from her curse. Using humans as mind-controlled slaves…I'll never forgive you, Medusa!

Issue 3: Heads or Goblins from Hewdraw

BGM-Dragon Ball FighterZ OST-Conversation

"You know how a chicken takes three steps and then forgets?" Pit asked Spider-Man.

"Forgets what?" Spidey responded.

"Uh…" Pit takes three steps amidst his walk and immediately forgets what he was talking about.

"Pit? Forgets what?" Spidey asked again, wanting to know what he meant.

"Uh…Oh, right! OK, so you know how a chicken takes three steps and then forgets?" Pit asked, being the forgetful chicken that repeats his own questions.

"Yeah, you gave us a good demonstration." Sonic teased the forgetful angel.

Taking a small break between missions, Pit uses this chance to give his two new friends a tour around the many floating islands in Skyworld. There's an island district dedicated to his favorite restaurants. An island covered with hot springs. One island with an ice cream parlor themed after mysterious Three Sacred Treasures. And another that has the best video games known to man and gods. "Your home is awesome! Feels E for everyone ages 10 and up compared to Asgard with all these floating islands. Asgard is just one gigantic island floating in space. But it's more colorful. Has its own rainbow bridge." Spidey commented during this tour around the divine realm.

"Nice. Would love to visit Asgard one day." Pit conversed friendly.

"Come to my world sometime. I can have Thor give you a tour." Spidey recommended.

"Is he like the Lady Palutena of your world?" Pit questioned.

"Basically. Instead of light, he commands lightning and is the Prince of Asgard. He looks intimidating but he's really a nice guy and a great friend. One of our greatest Avengers!" Spidey described Thor to his angel friend.

"Another god working with humans? Man you guys are lucky! Think you can make Lady Palutena an Avenger?" Pit happily requested to his mortal friends.

"If she wants to." Sonic answered with an indifferent shrug.

"What about me? Can I be an Avenger? I want to explore new worlds and save them from evil, and help you find those, uh…what did you call those eight magic gems that can destroy dimensions?" Pit questioned sheepishly.

"Exo Stones?" Spidey answered.

"Yeah, those! I want to help you find them!" requested Pit, enthusiastically wanting to be a Dimensional Avenger.

Spidey ponders his request for an expressive moment, "Eh, we're halfway done. One of them is stuck in enemy hands and they're a handful." He then advises Pit to, "Don't do anything I would do. And definitely don't do anything I wouldn't do. There is a little gray area in there and that's where you operate."

"Wait, does that mean I'm an Avenger?!" Pit excitedly believed.

"No." Peter declined his request so casually it dumbfounded the angel.

"W-Why? I'm the Captain of the goddess's royal guard! I defeated gods and monsters! I saved the world like two times if the Orcos thing is considered canon!" Pit retorted.

"There are no tryouts for the Avengers. Trust me, I tried." Spidey quipped.

"Didn't stop you from recruiting Amy on a whim." Sonic reminded him.

"Oh I did that just to spite you." Spidey snarked.

"Thoughtful of you, Webs." Sonic glared at him in annoyance.

Laughing, Spidey places a big brotherly hand on Pit's shoulder telling him, "Listen. You have potential to become a great hero. Just need some…guidance, from both sides. You know how it is. You have a god like Palutena as your mentor. I like to think you can call one of us mortals in the same way."

"I do." Pit smiled solemnly, with a new goal of proving himself as a worthy hero in the eyes of Spider-Man so he could join the Dimensional Avengers.

Smiling himself behind the mask, Spidey says, "Well, what's next on the angel tour?"

"Watch a game of Light vs. Dark! And if there's time, I'll own you both in a match!" Pit challenged his friends.

"We'll see!" Spidey quipped.

"I'm game!" Sonic grinned, as the trio continue their Skyworld tour.

Meanwhile at Palutena's Temple…

"And you're acting as mission control?" asked by a mini-hologram of Nick Fury on a kitchen table.

"I am the Goddess." Palutena quipped amidst cooking for the team, with Lucina and Weiss hanging out together in the kitchen with her. "Rest assured, Director Fury. Your Avengers and I have the Medusa situation under control. We'll defeat her and recover everything that was stolen from Oscorp." She assured to her newest mortal ally in this Underworld War.

Fury nods sternly, "Alright. A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Palutena. Keep me updated. Good luck staying sane with Spider-Man and Sonic around."

"They're no Pit. I can handle two mortals." Palutena snarked, before Fury hangs up the holo-call.

"Food looks lovely, Lady Palutena." smiled Lucina, looking at the vegetable dish she's cooking.

"You'll love it more when you eat it. A Vegetable Surprise with a side of Skyworld soup! Now with 100% less living killer vegetables!" Palutena quipped.

"I don't want to KNOW the context." Weiss snarked, sensing that the goddess made a revolting dinner not too long ago. Regardless, the ice huntress is more focus writing down notes on her notebook regarding Peter's upcoming birthday, "It's hard planning a surprise birthday party for a man with a Spider-Sense…Any advice?" She asked her friends.

"Have a girl flirt with him before knocking him unconscious." Palutena suggested playfully.

Weiss laughs, "That's perfect! I'll keep that in mind."

"That's devious." Lucina smiled, supporting the idea.

BGM-Dragon Ball FighterZ OST-Spirit

"You humans impress me. Not many share a friendship beyond spacetime." Palutena said.

"We are honored. Such bonds have helped us prevail over the worst calamities." Lucina grinned, proud to have dimensional friends.

"Yes, but it will not be enough in the future." Palutena claimed.

"What do you mean?" Lucina remarked in confusion.

"The multiverse is filled to the brim with countless unfathomable dangers that your team was tasked to defend it from those same threats. You are powerful together, yes, but it does not change the fact that you are mortal against impossible odds." warned Palutena, thinking the heroes are not strong enough to defend reality.

"Don't underestimate us just because we're not 'all-powerful' like gods. We've proven time and again that we can handle ourselves." The stern Weiss argued with the goddess.

"I'm just concerned is all. I want you to live your lives to the fullest without placing them in mortal danger." Palutena frowned.

"We thank you for the concern, but this is the life we chose. It is our duty to put others' wellbeing before our own to ensure a brighter future for all. Even if the challenge is above us, at least we die fighting for what is right." Lucina retorted firmly, much to the goddess's silent acknowledgement.

"Is that so…" Palutena muttered, with her subtle arrogance of being a god blinding her to the mortals' true potential.

Suddenly, the girls are startled upon feeling a powerful force shaking the kitchen, and worse, ruining dinner. "What was that?!" Weiss exclaimed while springing up from her seat.

Palutena checks her holographic security, which reveals that Skyworld is under attack by familiar demonic forces. "The Underworld." She scowled, already ready to launch her counterattack.

Shortly After…

"Hurry, Avengers!" Palutena urged them as her heroes rush to their emergency mission through her temple door.

BGM-Kid Icarus: Uprising OST-Heads of the Hewdraw

"What's the matter?" retorted Pit, as the heroes activate their respective flight abilities in time to leap through the door and fly into the surprising Underworld-infested skies of Skyworld.

"Whoa! Where did they come from?!" Sonic questioned while quickly dealing with several monsters.

'Medusa has brought the fight to our realm. Her forces are invading Skyworld!' Palutena stated telepathically.

"She must be getting back at us for taking down Dark Lord Gaol." Pit guessed correctly.

"And just when we were enjoying a good game of Light vs. Dark." quipped Iron Spider Spider-Man, rushing to Skyworld's defense by firing many repulsors that knock down a few out of a massive Underworld Army.

'Medusa's venom knows no bounds. But I know you can stop her Underworld Army.' Palutena believed in her heroes.

"You sure have a lot of faith in us, Lady Palutena." Pit responded amidst blasting goons.

The dimensional heroes fight as best as they do in these air battles, but unlike their last mission, this fight feels like a notable increase in difficulty. Underworld Troops are feeling more powerful, more aggressive than last time. A Specknose launches a sneeze bomb that damages Weiss and her Sky-Cycle. A metroid-looking Komayto ambushes a spinballing Sonic to slowly drain his life. There's a Daphne that cast out flower-like bombs at Lucina, causing significant knockback once detonated.

"The enemy has grown powerful. No doubt from the ISO-8." Lucina scowled in annoyance.

"I'll clear us some room!" Spidey declared, preparing a special attack since his team are struggling with this large group of enemies. "Double Suit Power: Iron Arms…!" He briefly sprouts four large mechanical spider-limbs from his back, "And Repulsor Web Blossom!", before using those Arms alongside his web-shooters to launch energy web-like attacks all around himself in a devastating spin attack, destroying every nearby enemy.

"Oh wow!" Pit reacted in ecstatic amazement to his special attack.

"Think you can do better! We have more incoming!" Spidey spotted another large group already here to attack them.

"Check this out!" With the Palutena Bow, Pit fires numerous arrows infused with magical energy into the air, which all explode in a godly fashion and decimate all enemies in the vicinity as well as cancel out their attacks.

"Nice special attack!" The proud Spidey complimented the angel, "Looks to me the power of flight isn't just helping you fly. The speed, damage, and accuracy of your attacks have all been given a huge boost."

'Nice observation!' Palutena complimented the spider-scientist.

"Still not enough! Don't these guys ever get tired?" Weiss snarked while struggling against another large wave of monsters.

'At this rate, the power of flight is going to expire before they do and you'll need Pit's help to win.' Palutena realizes that the number of Underworld troops is too overwhelming for the heroes.

"Then let's go after the commander!" Pit suggested.

'There's just one thing you should know. Their commander is Hewdraw.' Palutena informed him.

Shocked by this news, Pit retorts, "Hewdraw? Like, this guy?", while a holographic image of a classic, 8-bit Hewdraw is projected for the heroes to look at.

"Why is this in 8-bit?" The curious Sonic questioned.

'Nostalgia.' Palutena quipped, 'And speak of the devil—there he is!'

From the distance, the regrouped heroes squint their eyes to find an enormous three-headed dragon flying with a group of Underworld troops. "He can fly?" Pit remarked in dismay.

'I think the only one who can't fly by himself is you.' Palutena teased.

"Ouch. That's harsh!" Pit retorted.

'Don't sulk, Pit. It's undignified. But you're right: attacking the leader is a good plan.' Palutena supported his idea to defeat the commander.

"Let's do it!" smirked Sonic before racing ahead toward the flying dragon.

Underworld Troops impede their way to Hewdraw, which gets the heroes working together to clear a path at lightning speed. Weiss and Lucina each fly by a side of Hewdraw blasting everything evil, with the boys of the team running along the dragon's back whilst repelling monsters. Wasn't long until the heroes fly in front of Hewdraw's heads, with each sporting a different color and an attitude.

"HELLO THERE!" greeted the Blue Hewdraw Head.

"IT'S SNACK TIME!" said the Violet Head.

"MM! WHAT TENDER LITTLE MORSELS!" smiled the Red Head.

"We are NOT pieces of meat!" Weiss snapped angrily.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY?" The Red Head retorted.

"TECHNICALLY, YOU ARE." The Violet Head proclaimed.

"JUST COME A LITTLE CLOSER." The Blue Head threatened.

Pit grins, "Get ready, 'cause it's time for-."

"TOTAL ANNIHILATION/BONE-CRUSHING DESTRUCTION/FACE-STOMPING CARNAGE!" All Hewdraw Heads declared at once, which begins a somewhat humorous scene of them bickering amongst themselves.

"IT WAS MY TURN TO HAVE THE LAST WORD!"

"OH, GIVE IT A REST!"

"LET'S NOT ARGUE IN FRONT OF COMPANY!"

"CRAM A SOCK IN IT, FOOT FACE!"

"I'M SOOOO SICK OF YOU GUYS."

"ME?! WHAT DID I DO?!"

"KNOCK IT OFF ALREADY!"

"YOU KNOCK IT OFF!"

"I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS MY LIFE."

"CAN WE GO HOME AND WATCH TV NOW?"

"WOULD EVERYONE JUST SHUT IT?!"

"SOMEONE PUT ME OUT OF MY MISERY."

"DID I MENTION I'M STARVING?"

"AND YOU THINK WE'RE NOT?!"

The heads continue to argue unintelligibly, all while the heroes have been just staring at them both dumbfounded and was at a total loss of words until Spider-Man just asks, "…Um…Now what?"

'This is never going to end. Just go ahead and attack.' Palutena suggested, prompting the non-bickering hero team to just combine powers and launch a devastating shot that finally stops their nonsensical arguing.

"EVERYONE SHUT UP AND FOCUS!" All Hewdraw Heads roared before beginning their fight with the Avengers.

The first Hewdraw Head to be fought is Blue the calmest. He lashes out in an attempt to bite Pit, only to fail and be blasted from the side by Weiss. He then tries burning her alive with his flamebreath but fails once again as she dodges his attack, leaving it up to Pit to launch the counterattack. Before Blue could launch another attack, Weiss and Pit combine ice and arrows to unleash a powerful combo that blasts him off his body and fall down to the Overworld.

The next Head to be defeated is impulsive Red. This one fires a massive laserbreath that Sonic easily encircles until reaching his forehead and smashing it hard with a Spin Dash. While he's stunned, Lucina, in a blindingly quick motion with Parallel Falchion, slashes through him in one stroke. After a small delay that makes Red believe he's still alive, he is instantly decapitated and too falls from the heavens.

"WHERE'D LEFTY AND RIGHTY GO?" Violet Head realized he's the only one remaining.

"You're all alone!" Spidey confronted the remaining head.

"WHATEVER, I NEVER LIKED THOSE GUYS ANYWAY." Violet retorted.

The intelligent Violet Head believes unleashing a hefty fireball barrage will slow Spider-Man from reaching him, but he miscalculated. Spidey has the amazing speed and spectacular reflexes to swiftly evade all his attacks before assaulting his face with lightning-fast repulsors, forcing him to open his maw for his finishing attack. "Here're some mints! You'll find 'em refreshing!" Spidey unloads Repulsor Web Missiles into his mouth, giving Hewdraw a nasty stomachache before his entire body explodes from the inside out.

"AAAAAAAAAAAUGH!" Violet Hewdraw screamed before collapsing to death explosively.

"And that's that!" Pit smiled, thinking they just saved the day.

'Not so fast. Hewdraw heads can live without a body. You'd better follow them.' Palutena informed them of this surprise info.

"Of course, cut off one head, two more takes their place. They'd be more at home as Red Skull's pet." Spidey snarked before diving down through the clouds alongside his friends at super speeds.

"What is the current situation at Skyworld?" Lucina asked.

'The Underworld forces are retreating.' Palutena happily informed them.

"Mission accomplished!" Sonic grinned victoriously.

'Far from it. Those two Hewdraw heads are still alive. They've plunged into the human world below and taken their legion with them!' Palutena proclaimed.

"Then we'd better do something!" Pit retorted.

Quickly, the heroes flies down toward the surface, making a sudden stop while looking for the Hewdraw heads. "Okay! Uh…Tell me, Spider-Sense. Where's the perfect spot to go head hunting?" Spidey asked himself, before sensing and turning and noticing the heads rampaging through a nearby burning town. "That'll do." He joked at the fiery situation nonchalantly.

"This is bad!" Weiss frowned worriedly.

"Let's hurry. For a pair of disembodied heads, they sure moved fast!" Spidey quipped, leading the group into flying over the town in search for the bodiless dragons.

"I don't see the Hewdraw heads anywhere! Where'd they go?!" Pit frantically asked.

'Don't lose YOUR head too, Pit. Let's check the town.' Palutena suggested.

"Hoo-hooo-yah!" hollered Pit, as the heroes fly down toward their landing destination.

That Burning Town.

This town is damaged during the Underworld Army's two-pronged assault on the surface world and Skyworld. Pit and the Dimensional Avengers land in the city, immediately glancing their surroundings for the two remaining Hewdraw heads that went into hiding since their last defeat. "The people have all gone into hiding, but where did those Hewdraw heads go?" Pit wondered.

'They could be anywhere. We need to stop them before they wreak even more havoc! As you search for them, take out any Underworld troops that cross your path.' Palutena instructed them.

But just after dematerializing his armor, Spider-Man senses something terrifyingly ominous heading their way but can't figure out where they'll be coming from. Sonic notices this and asks him, "Sense the Hewdraws?"

BGM-Spider-Man 3 (Film) OST-Harry vs. Peter

Spidey replies, "I'm sensing somethi-!", when all of a sudden, a masked figure riding a skateboard-shaped glider flies in and grabs him.

'What the-?!' Palutena reacted in shock at the ambush.

"SPIDER-MAN!" Pit screamed with horror and great concern.

"A Goblin!?" Weiss recognized, sharing the same surprised look with Sonic and Lucina.

It's not just any Goblin. It's the New Goblin that assisted in the raid on Oscorp, now in this dimension riding his Sky Stick that will aid him in exacting vengeance on Spider-Man. "LEAVE THIS ONE TO ME! FIND THE HEWDRAWS!" Spidey shouted down, ordering his friends to hunt the heads and leaving him to deal with this mysterious assassin.

Their vicious duel begins with them crashing along the sides of several buildings whilst Spidey is being carried through the air and trading mighty blows with this mysterious menace. New Goblin quickly overpowers his prey by punching him repeatedly, headbutting his head to stun him for a vengeful grab by the head. He extends an arm blade and uses it to slash Spidey across the stomach, ruining his costume while he screams in pain, "AAAUGH!" Spidey jumps free from his attacker's grasp to shoot a web at the spire of a nearby building, then fires a web barrage at his assailant. Some hits landed but the rest were dodged by Goblin's nimble reflexes before he severs his webline and causes him to fall out of the sky screaming. Spidey tries to aim his web again, but his opponent smashes him brutally into the side of another building before he could focus, leaving him groggy while New Goblin descends toward Spidey to confront him menacingly.

"What's the reason you helped Medusa rob Oscorp…?" Spidey asked weakly.

"For the chance to finally kill you." New Goblin answered before proceeding to punch Spidey. His attack missed as the webhead backflips upwards, causing him to punch the wall instead.

"Who are you?! I feel like there's a misunderstanding!" Spidey retorted, but his enemy ignores his words and tries to grab him and fails as he dodges to the side, "You're not like the other Goblins! What's your beef with me?!"

"YOU KNOW WHYYYYYY!" Goblin screamed infuriatedly and vaguely, with his explosive rage awakening a dark green aura filled to the brim with foreign divine energy, allowing him to pull the massive wall off the building with all his abnormal strength and causing a shocked Spider-Man to fall to certain doom if he doesn't act now.

'Impossible! This human has god power?!' A horrified Palutena noted, before noticing Goblin is rushing for her hero, 'GET OUT OF THERE, SPIDER-MAN!'

Instantly, Spidey jumps just as Goblin obliterates the falling wall with a single punch. With this mysterious God Aura that grants him god-like traits, New Goblin overpowers his nemesis for a short time with devastating punches of fury that juggle him like a ragdoll across the air. Spider-Man can do nothing to counter this assault despite his best efforts, finding himself brutally dragged across the side of buildings by his foot, eating their bricks, which all leads to him being thrown through buildings like they're made of glass and passing by his friends in a blink of an eye.

"SPIDER-MAN!" The concerned Pit shouted in an alley.

'Watch out!' shouted Palutena, swiftly prompting Lucina to pull the angel back just as a sudden Hewdraw head barrels through the buildings.

"That came out of nowhere!" Weiss remarked.

'You're going to need help against surprise attacks like that. Go to the courtyard ahead, and I'll grant you a gift.' Palutena informed them.

"Great, but what about Spider-Man? He needs help more than us!" Pit retorted, really worried for his friend.

"Just believe in him." Sonic calmly assured the angel, "Spidey will pull through. It'll take more than a Goblin with godlike power to keep him down." He proclaimed, with Weiss and Lucina sharing the same absolute faith in their leader.

Back with Spider-Man, he's been caught once more by New Goblin trying to strangle his neck. This forces him to finally unleash the unique energy that crosses his blue-colored spiritual Aura with his radioactive spider-essence: His X-Aura. With this enhanced great power, the Wallcrawler quickly blinds his foe with webs before elbowing him in the face, freeing himself from his grasp to leg-sweep then spin-throw him far away from his glider before web-zipping off it right after. The Sky Stick detects it has no pilot and automatically flies toward Goblin, who rips off the webbing before being stylishly caught by his glider and using it to intercept the web-swinging superhero, knocking him onto a nearby rooftop.

"Guy's out for blood and I don't know why…" Spidey muttered, before turning in horror to see Goblin flying at him at murderous speeds and immediately running away on the roof, just narrowly before falling from his fierce grasp. The masked assassin lost sight of him for a moment, only to quickly find him fleeing via web-swinging across the city and rushes to continue battle with him.

"We're ready for that gift now, Lady Palutena!" said Pit, just as his group made it to the courtyard.

'All right then!' Palutena smiled from the heavens.

Also being released from the heavens is a heavily strange purple fog that briefly fills the air, much to the heroes' confusion and worry. "Uh…This is giving me a bad feeling." Sonic frowned.

BGM-Super Dragon Ball Heroes OST-Inevitable Shura

All of a sudden, the red Hewdraw Head pops out of the ground roaring, "ROOOOOAR!", which got the frightened kids screaming, "AAAAAAGH!"

'Do you like the gift? It's my patented monster pheromone! Monsters just LOVE the smell of it. And now it's all over you!' Palutena smiled casually at her mischievous trap.

"What?! ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL US?!" snapped Weiss, furiously while she and her friends are running away from the Head that's acting like Pac-Man and trying to eat them.

"FOCUS!" Lucina retorted sternly, swiftly countering his bite to slash his eye.

"OW! DID YOU DO SOMETHING WITH YOUR HAIR? YOU'RE SUDDENLY LOOKING VERY ATTRACTIVE." Red Head flirts with the unfazed princess.

"Die, beast!" Lucina declared as she continues her fierce assault.

'Luckily, the pheromone only attracted one of the heads. I was wondering what would've done if both of them had shown up.' Palutena said.

"And you still went through with it?! We would have been finished for sure!" Pit retorted distressly.

'Despite my winsomeness and equanimity, I do have a strong streak of rascality.' Palutena quipped.

"I don't even know what that means!" Pit retorted again.

"Means the old hag gets a kick messin' with us!" Sonic snarked while saving himself from being eaten by the dragon.

'DON'T CALL ME AN OLD HAG!' Palutena snapped back at the hedgehog.

"I HAVE A SPECIAL TREAT FOR YOU! BUT YOU HAVE TO COME GET IT." claimed Red Hewdraw after Pit and Lucina fled from being crushed by him.

"Don't believe him, guys!" Weiss retorted while blasting him with ice shards.

"WHY SHOULDN'T YOU? LOOK AT THIS FACE! I'M TOTALLY TRUSTWORTHY!" Red Head quipped before charging headfirst into the heiress.

"Even as a head, he loves running his mouth." Lucina scowled, before ordering, "Sonic! Knock him into the sky and we'll finish him together!"

Acknowledging her plan, Sonic catches the hopping head with a superfast tornado that shoots him upwards into the air for the finishing blow from the combined power of Pit and Lucina's arrows and Weiss's ice blast. "Eat this!" declared Pit, with the team killing the falling Hewdraw head with their unified attack.

"Whew. That was dicey." Pit wipes the tired sweat from his forehead.

'I don't think I'll be using the monster pheromone in the future.' Palutena said.

"You better not!" Weiss retorted, still angry from being used as monster bait.

'What I mean is that I won't need to use it.' Palutena claimed.

"Why do you say that?" Sonic scoffed.

'I located the other head. He's regenerating its body at the lake outside of town.' Palutena announced.

"You don't think it'll have three heads again, do you?!" Sonic asked.

'I should hope not. Their bickering was intolerable.' Palutena quipped.

"What of Spider-Man? Has he defeated the Goblin yet?" Lucina asked for her leader's current status.

"I'M STILL HERE, SPIDER-MAN!"

BGM-Spider-Man: Web of Shadows OST-Boss Fight

Lucina's concerns are answered upon her group looking up in time to witness the web-swinging Spider-Man still fleeing from the ruthless New Goblin. "Take a hint! My schedule's full! I don't have time to school a newbie Gobby!" Spidey joked at his foe.

"You should have never gotten involved in my life!" Goblin retorted.

"Your life is as vague and crazy as your riddles!" Spidey quipped.

Blinded by raging vengeance, New Goblin commands a flying horde of Underworld Troops to be walls that narrow Spidey's pathway to prevent him from escaping his mysterious sense of justice. Goblin equips himself with his ionic sword, furiously trying to slash and impale him to death but fails with every attack that are narrowly avoided by his spider-like agility. He then switches tactics, throwing pumpkin bombs that explode out razor sharp bat-shaped projectiles that are homing in and flying at their target with frightening speed.

"Hate those things!" Spidey grunted.

The razor bats are tearing Spider-Man apart until he gets the bright idea to perform a surprise 180-degree in midair, swinging past Goblin as he gets hurt by his own attack. He struggled turning back around while Spidey shoots down all but one razor bat with web shots, web-throwing that last one back at Goblin with the furious force to have it explode upon impact.

Goblin flew through the explosion unscathed, but was caught off-guard by the webline that trips him off his glider and crash onto the street, defeated in Spider-Man's eyes. The hero goes to see him, to check if he's still alive. And most importantly, to try and learn his secret identity. "It's over…" Spidey panted. And as his hand reaches for his mask, he mutters, "Let's find out who you are behind the-.", before his throat is grabbed by the not-so defeated Goblin, "MASK!"

BGM-Spider-Man 3 (Game) OST-Black Tension

Awakened by the power of his God Aura, New Goblin hurls his enemy onto a building with the brutal force that has him collapse to his knees. Both combatants use this moment as a breather, with Spider-Man struggling to stand, and Goblin struggling to contain his enigmatic rage for the him. "You!" Goblin snarls at the hero ready to fight him again, "If only you were dead…Once I kill you, IT'LL ALL BE OVER!" He swore before continuing his restless fight with Spider-Man.

Meanwhile with Pit's Group…

They rushed out to the lake, only to find the last Hewdraw head has already finished regenerating its roaring serpent-like body. "SO YOU TOOK OUT MY BROTHERS." Blue Hewdraw realized.

"Yep, sure did!" Pit quipped.

"WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL! THANK YOU SO MUCH! NOW I'M FINALLY FREEEEE!" Hewdraw roared monstrously at the heroes that are ready to defeat him for good.

BGM-Kid Icarus: Uprising OST-Boss Fight 1

Hewdraw Reborn doesn't waste a second in firing fast-moving fireballs that all but Weiss were able to evade, with Lucina taking it a step further by reflecting his attacks with dancing swings from her sword. Annoyed, Hewdraw knocks her back with homing lasers then tries to do the same with Pit, who uses his Guardian Orbitars to reflect those shots that leave him wide open for a hyperfast Spin Attack from Sonic.

"UH OH! GOTTA GO UNDER!" Hewdraw quickly retreats underwater to evade Sonic's attack, which leaves the hedgehog horrified upon diving into the lake.

"HEY, HELP ME! SOMEBODY HELP! I CAN'T SWIM!" Sonic screamed, struggling to stay afloat. Somebody better hurry to his rescue, because Hewdraw is feeling hungry for a hedgehog snack.

"Hewdraw's underwater! He's gonna eat Sonic!" Pit reacted in grave worry for his friend.

"Got an idea!" Weiss several orange orbs floating above the lake, "Shoot those orange balls of light to make them down drop. We'll try to lure the Hewdraw out that way."

"Will do!" Lucina acknowledged.

Using her bow, Lucina shoots at the orange orbs and causes them to hit Hewdraw just as he was about to devour Sonic. Both the hedgehog and dragon were knocked out of the water, and as the latter falls on the earth paralyzed for the moment, the former is skydiving high from the air toward the big bad beast. "Aw yeah! Time to lay the smackdown!" Sonic smirked before stomping on Hewdraw's head with devastating force.

All four heroes then gang up on the weakened dragon, pummeling him with powerful blows to the head until he had enough. "TIRED OF THIS! I'M GOING BACK FOR A DRIP!" Hewdraw roared upon repelling his attackers and returning to the lake to bombard them with more fireballs.

"Try electrocuting those orbs! Both on their own don't mix well with water!" Sonic ordered the huntress.

"Great idea!" Weiss liked his winning idea.

"DINNERTIME, MAGGOTS! GUESS WHICH ONE OF YOU IS ON THE MENU!" Hewdraw quipped, threatening to finish them all with his laserbreath.

"You need to go on a diet!" Weiss snarked, before magically casting, "HERE! THUNDARA!" A barrage of lightning bolts from above strikes the orange orbs, enhancing their explosive power as they drop and electrocute the entire lake that agonizingly disrupts Hewdraw's attack. This is the heroes' final chance to defeat him and they are quick to take full advantage of it. Pit and Lucina combine arrow blasts that further weaken the dragon, leaving it up to Sonic to deliver the final spin-stomping blow to his head that slams his entire body into the electrified water that most definitely put an end to his rebirth.

"Mission complete!" Pit exclaimed victoriously.

'That's another one of Medusa's commanders out of the way!' Palutena stated happily.

Before succumbing to his defeat, Hewdraw emerges from the water one final time. He's glowing, he's shaking, as he yells out, "NO! I'M TOO PRETTY TO DIE.", before falling over and exploding, causing water to shoot up into the sky and rain down over the victorious heroes.

"And there you have it. Victorious." Lucina smiled, proud of their win over Hewdraw.

'Good work. Let's be on our way.' Palutena said.

Before they leave, however, Sonic spots something mystifying on the ground nearby, "Hold up. What's that?"

The heroes approach what appears to be a blue stone sporting a mysterious divine rune that fell out of Hewdraw after his defeat. "Is that ISO-8?" Pit asked while Sonic picks up the strange gemstone.

"Not entirely. This feels different. Has crazy power that's out of this dimension. No doubt a big reason why those Hewdraws were such a pain." Sonic answered to the best of what he can decipher.

'I'll investigate its origins once you return.' Palutena said.

"What about Spider-Man?" Pit retorted, still worried about his new human mentor.

'Don't worry. It looks like his battle is just about over.' Palutena assured him, right before whisking away the team with her light.

Back with Spider-Man…

BGM-Tekken 4 OST-Kazuya Ending

It would seem that the Web Warrior has won over New Goblin in their battle, but just barely. The fight has left both of them exhausted and severely wounded on a rooftop, with Goblin experiencing major trouble hanging onto his glider that was severely damaged during the fight. "Ready to talk…? You better if you don't want the answers beaten outta ya…" Spidey weakly mocked his defeated foe.

"You didn't win, Peter. Nobody ever wins when you're involved." Goblin claimed vaguely, revealing his surprise knowledge of Spider-Man's secret identity.

"What do you mean by that? And how the hell do you know my name?! Answer me!" Spidey retorted angrily.

"You were always the smartest out of the two of us! Figure it out yourself!" Goblin mocked, hinting of a past relationship between them.

Spidey gasps, "You are…!", in horrific shock as he's starting to realize New Goblin's true identity. Before he can be questioned further, New Goblin activates a weird magic that causes him to vanish from the battlegrounds. "He's gone." He noted somberly.

'That Goblin…' Palutena begins reflecting on today's mission, 'His power is linked to the Underworld. But that god power he was gifted is foreign. It is not of this world. And the man himself…From the best I can tell, he is not of EITHER our dimensions.' She proclaimed.

"That can't be…" Spidey muttered, now believing that New Goblin isn't someone he personally knew, "There's more to this war than meets the eye, huh."

'Yes. We should consider the possibility that Medusa has a secret partner.' Palutena declared, returning Spider-Man to Skyworld as both suspect a new, mischievous godlike foe from another dimension is working behind the scenes.
