Spider-Man: Watch out! Here comes the Spider-Man! So Palutena was friends with Thor and Loki back in the day, and now she's forced to stop one of them from conquering two worlds. She sent us to the Labyrinth of Deceit to destroy the Mirror of Truth before it could create a clone army. And we did, but not before the gang was duped into getting cloned themselves. The Dark Avengers! Knowing my history with clones, they're gonna be a huge pain in the butt!

Issue 6: Dark Clone Saga
Palutena's Temple, Skyworld.
"Ahhhh…Much better…" Weiss sighed contently, enjoying a nice relaxing bath in a hot spring alongside Lucina, "There's nothing like a soak in a hot spring after a hard day…"
"I can't argue against that…" Lucina smiled as she feels her nerves calming with her lower naked torso soaked in the pool.
"Hope you're not drowning over there, Sonic!" Weiss teased him.
"I'm fine! Thanks for your concern!" sassed Sonic, with he and Pit relaxing at the other side of the massive hot spring that's divided down the middle between genders. Sighing comfortably in the non-threatening water, the hedgehog says, "This does feel nice…Starting to understand why you love going to these a lot."
"They also have the added bonus of healing people too." Pit grinned.
"I'm not feelin' anything."
"Guess it only works for angels and gods."
"Whatevs. It's still soothing to the soul…" Sonic leans peacefully on the edge of his spring.
"Glad it's not copying our souls to create evil clones." Weiss snarked scowlingly.
"We're talkin' about them right now, are we?" Sonic remarked deadpannedly, realizing she is still angry from what happened during their last mission.
"There's no better time to talk about them! We were CLONED! Loki tricked us into creating his own evil Avengers that are now rampaging throughout the world and ruining our name!" Weiss retorted heatedly.
"I doubt that's what they're doing at the moment." Sonic argued calmly.
"It's gonna happen eventually!" Weiss responded.
"The Dark Avengers…" Lucina thinks back to their last mission that involved the clones' terrifying creation, "Dark Pit…Dark Sonic…Dark Weiss…And Dark Lucina…Four corrupted reflections of us created by the Mirror of Truth. They will not be easily defeated. Our powers were perfectly matched in the last battle."
"Says you! My clone is actually flying around with Pandora's powers!" Pit retorted.
"Perhaps we should learn from that. Bolster our power with the Norn Stones we collected to give ourselves an advantage?" Lucina suggested to her friends a strategy to defeat the Dark Avengers.
Pondering her suggestion, Sonic replies, "We only have two, and we don't know if Loki boobytrapped them. Regardless, I rather we save that power for when we fight the god couple. Not waste it on a couple of fakers."
"What do you suggest?" Pit asked him for a plan.
"I've beaten my fair share of fakes. It usually boils down to skill. Hit them with something they wouldn't expect." Sonic advised his friends with another method that could defeat their doubles.
"Be unpredictable…That could work." Lucina liked the idea.
"But how do we know they're not planning the same thing against us?" Weiss questioned concernedly.
"That's the biggest problem with clones. They know everything we're gonna do, but it won't be much help because we know everything they're gonna do." Sonic answered grimly.
"That's strange." Weiss commented.
"Isn't it?" Sonic shrugged.
"Guess we have no other choice but hope to be lucky when we fight 'em." Pit remarked.
"That is if Peter and Lady Palutena discover their location." Lucina frowned, hoping they will be lucky in their inevitable rematch with the Dark Avengers.
Meanwhile in the War Room…
"So you can use your webs to weave anything?" asked Palutena, using her god magic to try and locate Dark Pit as soon as possible.
"With enough time and a creative mind like mine. Think I'm a better weaver than you. It's in my radioactive blood." quipped Spider-Man, using his mortal technology to try and pinpoint Dark Pit's location first while chatting with the goddess to pass the time.
"Yeaaaah, no. I mean, you're a genius by mortal standards, but a god's creativity is limitless." Palutena snarked arrogantly.
"Bout as limitless as your age and ego." Spidey teased.
"What did I tell you about making fun of my age?!" Palutena angrily turns her head at him.
"That you hate it when grandmas are being treated with respect." Spidey jested.
"You're definitely not with that attitude!" Palutena retorted.
"Sorry, Immortal Ma'am." Spidey teased her again with a smirking shrug.
Fed up with his jokes, Palutena exasperates, "You know what…!", and then summons her staff.
"Wuh oh." Spidey muttered, realizing he doomed himself from teasing a god.
"Power of Transformation!" Palutena conjures divine lightning of light that zaps the webslinger, forcing him to his knees while he's being electrocuted and grunting in pain. "Let's see how you feel when people tease a tiny spider." She smiled with the playful intentions of transforming Spider-Man into an actual spider, if for a moment. However, unbeknownst to the Goddess and Spider, her divine prank is going beyond expectations. 'Hold on. What is this? The light is mutating him differently.' Palutena realized in her thoughts.
BGM-Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission OST- God Form Transformation Finished
Despite Palutena ceasing the energy, it was too late. Just a dose of her godly magic is already changing Spider-Man from the inside out. Transforming him into a more bestial, man-spider-like form. First are his mutated clawed feet erupting from out his Advanced Suit, with his new talon-like fingernails staying within his costume. Then, similarly to Wolverine's metal clows, four bone-like claws protrude out of his costume's forearm, with two on each arm. Spiny-like extensions protrude from his shoulders acting like armor plating, with the spines on his lower legs resembling shin guards. Four organic spider-legs erupt from his back. As his body begins calming down, his closed eye lenses become sterner and gains four extra, smaller eyes above them in a spider-like pattern. While standing himself up with a groan, he opens all six eyes that are now glowing dark blue. One glance at his transformed self and the Beast Out Spider-Man deadpannedly retorts, "Perfect. Look what you did.", with a deeper and more menacing voice tone.

"Uh…Oops." Palutena remarked sheepishly.
"Seriously, what divine prank did you pull on me?!" Spidey retorted in this humorous situation.
"This isn't entirely my fault! I wanted to turn you into a tiny spider, but it looked like The Other within had different plans and used my power to evolve you!" Palutena explained how his new Beast Form came to be.
"Oh I can't believe this…" Spidey paces around a bit to calm his annoyance at the goddess and her unfunny prank.
"You can control it, right?" Palutena asked.
"Hope so. Give me a sec…" Within a moment, Spider-Man takes full control over his transformation and transforms back into his normal state. "Whew. Much better." He said, before consciously transforming back into his Beast state, "And I can transform back. Dunno if I ever want to."
"No, no! Take advantage of that! This is a blessing in disguise!" Palutena argued.
"How?" Beast Out Spidey retorted.
BGM-Dragon Ball FighterZ OST-Spirit
"As I hope you're aware, The Other is a unique entity amongst the Spider-Verse. It is the Great Spider-Totem, the true source of every spider's power. A legendary beast said to have wreaked havoc onto countless worlds, tearing up lands and massacring whole armies. Such berserker power that rivals even gods." Palutena explained solemnly.
"Yeah I'm more or less aware of all that." Spidey quipped, recalling his conversations with Madame Web and the like.
"You are one of the only few to have tamed the beast. To unify your power with it and gain complete control. But I've noticed you have used this unified power improperly. Not tap into the full potential of the Totem Beast." Palutena revealed to the webslinger.
"Whaddya talking about? Of course I have. I've been using its stingers and organic webbing. I've tapped into its full powers whenever I use my X-Aura." Spidey argued.
"It's a waste. Your X-Aura is just a state to temporary enhance your natural abilities. The Other does not need Aura to use their powers. Using both at the same time strains the body. Am I wrong?" The stern Palutena turned to him.
"Uh…You…may be onto something." Spidey admitted sheepishly.
"You can use the Beast's full power naturally, just like you are now. You're like that Hoshidan royal raised in Nohr that can transform into a dragon." Palutena compared him to another Legendary Otherworldly Hero, while gesturing to his Beast state, "Learn to take advantage of your transformable abilities. Spend less time teasing my age and more time mastering The Other! I'd be happy to help you in any way I can."
"The god wants to train a human? Isn't that against the rules or something?" Spidey remarked with shock.
"As the Goddess of Light, it is my eternal duty to protect and help mankind prosper. You're risking a lot defending this multiverse from gods and the unknown. And if you want to survive in this world of the gods, you need to FIGHT like a god." Palutena expressed, before joking, "It'll be fun. Pit will be out of this training wheels soon and I could use another student to keep busy."
Scoffing, Spidey transforms back to his normal form, and with a smile behind his mask, says to the goddess, "Well I have trained with Thor. Hope he won't be jealous if his best friend trains me. Sure. You have yourself a deal. Thank you."
"You're welcome." Palutena smiled, sharing a handshake with her new mortal student.

And to commemorate their strengthened bond, their magical and technological devices alike beep upon discovering Dark Pit's location. "Found him!" Both Goddess and Spider exclaimed with surprise, ready to eliminate the dark clone before he can wreak havoc himself on the world.
Shortly After…
"We've located Dark Pit!" Palutena announced while her dimensional team activate their flying devices upon rushing toward her teleporting door.
"Where is he?!" Pit was the first to leap through the door, making him the first to be attacked by Dark Pit from below, "Ow!" The angels then engage in a brief scuffle that involves lasers being fired and melee strikes being fiercely traded, resulting in a stalemate that prompts Dark Pit to fly away through the sunsetting skies and the heroes in hot pursuit.

The mocking Dark Pit chuckles at his counterpart, "Look who finally caught up!"
"What is your problem?" retorted Pit, whipping out the Palutena Blade and trading rapidfire energy shots with his clone's own Blade, "Are you with the Underworld Army?! The Dark Avengers?! Is that why you have it out for me?"
"Don't be ridiculous! I just don't like the idea of someone copying my act." Dark Pit argued.
"What?! But you're a copy of ME!" Pit snapped.
"Come on now. Think about it. If I was a copy, why would I kick my own butt?" Dark Pit snarked.
"That's the problem with clones. Let's finish this before this feud drags into an unnecessarily long saga." Iron Spider Spider-Man quipped.
'INCOMING!' The telepathic Loki suddenly shouted.
"Wha-?" And just as sudden, Spider-Man is attacked by New Goblin on his glider. The armored webslinger engages his mysterious rival in a brief yet brutal scuffle across the sky, clashing spider-stingers with his ionic sword while Spidey scowls, "You and Loki again?"
"Missed us?" New Goblin snarked.
"Hardly."
"Feeling will be mutual after I kill you!" said Goblin before fiercely repelling his prey and summoning a new enemy faction designed to counter the Goddess Avengers Alliance. Flying into the aerial battlefield is an army of imposing humanoid robots riding their own Goblin Gliders and equipped with the latest mystical tech weaponry a Goblin could build, much to the heroes and even Dark Pit's surprise.
"Who are these party crashers?" Dark Pit quipped.
'Robots?' Palutena remarked.
"Goblin Robo Warriors." Goblin corrected her, "My own army in the Underworld Army. Built using Oscorp Tech and powered by mystical ISO-8 courtesy of Lady Medusa. They will send each of you to an early grave." He threatened his enemies with a menacing tone.
"We'll see about that!" retorted Weiss, using her Sky-Cycle to blast through hordes of these robotic goblins with some difficulty.
The situation just continues to escalate. Not only are the Pits clashing, Goblin chucking bombs at Spidey, and Goblin Robo Warriors assaulting the other heroes, but now Underworld enemies begin appearing for a taste of the frantic action. "Great. Now the Underworld Army's here too." Sonic scowled, now forced to fend off demons as well.
'Took you long enough, milady. It's been eons since the three of us have been together like this.' Loki quipped at a certain goddess of darkness.
'This DOES bring back memories.' Medusa steps into the conversation, 'This reunion would be sweeter if Thor was invited. He is truly a god to be admired.' She said, implying to have a romantic affection for the thunder god.
'That pompous fool's overdeveloped physique is nothing compared to my conniving intellect! How I have longed to crush his self-righteous countenance beneath my booted heel.' Loki snarled, voicing his eternal disdain for his popular brother.
'So sad for the both of you that Thor isn't here. I will deal with your evil in his place!' Palutena retorted.
'Doubt you will last long without scurrying for his attention as usual.' Medusa teased her former goddess friend.
Meanwhile, the Battle of Pits intensifies for a moment. Dark Pit unleashes a thunderous special attack from his weapon that slams Pit out of the air, only for the heroic angel to immediately recover with a dashing kick to the chest that causes him great pain. 'What is your opinion on Dark Pit so far?' Loki asked his godly partner.
'He's a real go-getter. I like that.' Medusa responded.
"Is that so?" Dark Pit remarked.
'Yes, though I AM curious how you plan to best your doppelganger. Of course, destroying Pit and his friends would be a snap with a little help from me.' Medusa offered the dark angel a spot in her forces.
"Don't make me laugh." Dark Pit sharply declined her off.
'Did I say something funny?' Medusa grimaced.
"You've got me confused with the other guy. THIS Pit is no pawn. I'll take care of him and his pals, but only after I finish you!" Dark Pit declared with such ferocious independence that puzzles the gods.
"Quite a rebellious little angel, aren't you?" New Goblin quipped.
'Hmm…Now this is a little…bizarre.' Loki noted curiously.
"I know, right? The mouth on that guy! I'd never talk like that." Pit commented.
'That's NOT what I meant.' Loki scowled.
'Sorry. He can be a little thick.' Palutena retorted.
'The Mirror of Truth created Dark Pit just like it did the other Dark Avengers. So his allegiance should be to the Underworld Army.' Medusa proclaimed.
"Hmm…I don't think he was finished. It might have to do with Pit destroying the mirror before the copy could be complete." Spidey proposed correctly, recalling Pit shattering the Mirror of Truth which resulted in his clone's creation.
'So that explains it!' Medusa acknowledged this newfound fact that Dark Pit is a flawed clone without an affiliation.
"So if Dark Pit isn't with the Underworld Army... Does that mean we don't have to fight him?" Pit wondered.
'The problem is that Dark Pit is fundamentally wicked and destructive.' Palutena said.
"Yeah, tell us about it." Weiss snarked.
'He will attack anything.' Palutena said.
"He does seem pretty aggro." Pit noticed his clone's aggressive nature.
'He was created from you, Pit. He and the other Dark Avengers could very well be manifesting your…dark side. Their very existence is unnatural. They must be eliminated.' Palutena instructed the team.
"OK…I mean, it's still weird to me, but it makes sense when you explain it." Pit understood his mission.
Flying through rocky canyons, Sonic is having little trouble showing off his speed skills to evade an Underworld onslaught. One Goblin Robo Warrior does brutally intercept and knock him into a mountain, then tries to laser him to death. Sonic avoids its attack and counters with zig-zagging Spin Dashes that pierces through the robot and demons until he has room to say, "Let me get this straight. The Mirror of Truth was replicating monsters. So, now that it's broken, the Underworld Army can't generate new troops unless they're robots, right?"
'If that were the case, their numbers would be shrinking. But that's not happening.' Palutena noticed.
"Then where else could Medusa and Loki be getting their reinforcements from?" Sonic wondered.
'I really don't know. Other dimensions? There's something very strange about them.' Palutena also noticed.
"Like their faces?" Sonic quipped.
'I'm talking more about their interior. Specifically, their souls.' Palutena proclaimed.
"Not an expert in that category. How do we get to the bottom of this?" Sonic responded.
'Well, one thing's for certain. Medusa and Loki are the source of all this trouble. But Dark Pit presents the more immediate threat. For now, just keep the heat on him!' Palutena commanded.
"Easy peasy!" smirked Sonic, unleashing a powerful boost that catches up to Dark Pit and nearly tackles him off the air completely. This ignites a fierce back and forth in rapid succession between multiple combatants, starting with Dark Pit shooting back Sonic, then Lucina blasting away Dark Pit, and before New Goblin knocks Lucina around with pumpkin bombs.
'So a band of mortals defeated Pandora, hmm?' Medusa commented on the heroes' recent victory over the Goddess of Calamity.
"Don't forget about Loki!" Spidey quipped.
'Quit embarrassing yourself. You failed to qualify for half my power.' Loki claimed to have held back tremendously in their last fight.
'Neither of you seem too upset that we took out one of your top commanders, Medusa.' Palutena mocked her rival gods.
'Pandora may be gone, but her powers live on in Dark Pit.' Medusa observed.
"Another astute observation from the supreme leader of the Underworld." Dark Pit sassed.
'My, aren't you prickly. Even so, your power of flight seems to outlast Palutena's.' Medusa mocked her rival.
'I can't say I'm not envious.' Palutena admitted sadly.
"Don't let her get to you!" Pit assured her.
'However, who's to say that his power won't eventually run out?' Palutena retorted at her enemies.
"Yeah! After all, your flight power only lasts for five minutes!" Pit said with so much truth that it accidently comes off as insulting.
'Pretty horrendous fuel economy, huh?' Palutena frowned.
"Oh, uh, I'm sorry. I-I didn't mean it like that." Pit apologized sheepishly.
'I guess we're both bad at flying.' Palutena quipped, 'But I do want to know: What is this prophecy Loki mentioned, Medusa?'
'The Prophecy of the Divine Shadow.' Medusa classified.
'I don't like the sound of that.' Palutena snarked worriedly.
'Good. For even the Allfather fears this prophecy. And I am determined to see it fulfilled.' Medusa declared maliciously, hinting to what this dark prophecy is all about.
In the meantime, Spider-Man web-strikes himself onto Goblin's hoverboard and proceeds to pummel him before his assault was countered by his rival throwing him onto a mountain. Goblin then flies far ahead of his enemies to meet up with Dark Pit. Though they are far from allies, the two are more interested in destroying their rivals first so they unintentionally work together for this instance, with Goblin preparing homing explosive razor bats, and Dark Pit yanking out a Zurret demon out of its pot.
"Look over there!" Lucina spotted the rival duo.
"What are they doing?!" Sonic questioned concernedly.
"About to use us for target practice!" Pit retorted.
Dark Pit begins shooting while New Goblin starts throwing, with their combined power causing massive explosive carnage throughout the rocky fields and scaring the heroes to the defensive. 'Not bad, not bad!' chuckled Medusa, complimenting their ruthless strategy.
'If only Dark Pit could see reason. He and Goblin make a good team.' Loki commented.
Now it's time for the Goddess Avengers Alliance to show off their teamwork. While Lucina distracts them by racing around having all attacks focused on her, Spidey and Pit fire a repulsor and arrow at their respective rivals from opposite sides of the arena, stunning them for Goblin to be smashed by Sonic's Spin Dash and Dark Pit to be blasted by Weiss's missiles. Both rivals flee the scene, with the heroes remaining hot on their heels toward the ruins of a temple.
"What is that place?" Pit questioned.
"They look like ruins of some sort. I can see Gobby and Black Pitty flying there for refuge." Spidey noticed.
"We'd better land soon." Pit suggested to his team.
'And I'd better get started on deploying my troops, starting with my Dark Avengers.' Medusa announced cruelly.
"Come on! Is that really necessary?!" retorted Pit, right before the heroes fly down toward their landing destination.

Temple Ruins.
BGM-Kid Icarus: Uprising OST- Ruins of the Temple
Upon arriving at these quiet ruins alongside the Underworld Army, the Alliance deactivate their flying devices as they begin to hunt down their dark doppelgangers. 'Somewhere within these ruins are Pittoo and the Dark Avengers.' Palutena informed her heroes.
"Uh...gesundheit?" The confused Spidey replied.
'No, Pittoo. As in Pit Two. As in Dark Pit. Pretty great nickname I came up with, huh?' Palutena explained happily.
"But not as great as Ptooey, right? Right?" Pit grinned at his friends, with most of them not approving the terrible nickname.
"Nope, but it can be a great insult to him." Sonic quipped.
Pit sighs, "Uh, anyway. So, the plan is to find…Pittoo and the Dark Avengers and take them out."
'Correct. They might try to escape, but we can't let them get away.' Palutena proclaimed.
"Understood!" Pit acknowledged.
"Any advice in how to beat clones, Spidey? You fought your own before." Weiss asked her leader.
"You also have an evil twin?" Pit reacted with mild shock at his spider-friend.
"He's not so evil nowadays. He's like an older Pittoo. A M-rated jerk." Spidey quipped.

Meanwhile at Earth Prime…
"ACHOO!" sneezed Kaine Parker, the anti-hero clone of Spider-Man, while he was watching television in his Houston hotel room.
"I believe someone is talking of you." said Tiki, his Divine Dragon girlfriend from Lucina's dimension, who is sitting behind her laptop while working on her virtual idol career.
"Whoever the bastard is, I will kill them." Kaine snarled nonchalantly.
Back at the World of Kid Icarus…
BGM-Kid Icarus: Uprising OST- Ruins of the Temple
"Fighting clones are never easy. They match you step for step. You're gonna have to be tricky. Use the terrain to your advantage. Outsmart them. Clones like to think they're real, but deep down they know they're not. Use that against them." Spider-Man advised his team with the best ways to counter clones.
"Got it!" Lucina nodded sternly.
'The Dark Avengers could be anywhere, but following Underworld troops might lead you to them. They're none too pleased with Pittoo for absconding with Pandora's powers.' Palutena suggested to them.

Per the goddess's suggestion, the heroes use nearby Underworld troops to the way toward the middle of the ruins. They walk there with caution and glances at their eerie surroundings, looking out for any ambushes their sneaky clones might unleash at their blind spots. So far so good, they are safe. But the moment they stopped near a fountain, trouble flies to the scene in the form of New Goblin. The appointed leader of the Dark Avengers descends toward his enemies, who then take their fighting stances, as Spider-Man and Goblin share intense glares of hatred and other mysterious feelings.
"You can't run from the past forever, Spider-Man. You must pay for your crimes against my family." New Goblin claimed stoically, giving his foe another big hint of the man behind the Goblin mask.
"Your obsession for revenge with all this Goblin Tech…As if you're trying to prove yourself in the eyes of a madman…So you really are…!" Spider-Man retorted grimly, after finally deducing the true identity of this mysterious Goblin of another world.
New Goblin's mask then retracts, revealing himself to be a young brown-eyed man that looks handsome and commands one of the biggest multinational corporations in his dimension. Regardless of the different eye color when it was blue in his world, Spidey widens his eyes and is petrified upon recognizing this man's face. A face he never thought he'd see ever again because of the tragedy that cost him his life. "Harry!" He announced his true name to his friends, much to their various shocked reactions.
"No…" Weiss muttered in horror, having suspected Harry was New Goblin all along but didn't want to believe it for Peter's sake.
"What you say?! That's impossible!" Sonic retorted in disbelief at Peter, surprised to learn his best friend has come back from the grave to kill him.
"You know him?" Pit asked, understandably clueless on the whole situation.
"His name is Harry Osborn. The son of the Green Goblin. He was Spider-Man's best friend." Weiss revealed sternly.
"They're friends?! Then why are they fighting each other?!" Pit reacted in confused shock at the big reveal.
"Why are you here, Harry?! What's the meaning of all of this?!" Spidey interrogated the evil older counterpart of his dead best friend.
Sporting a poker face, Harry reminisces his tragic past, "…In my dimension, I lost my father…all because of you! Saw you in my house carrying his dead body like some damned birthday present you wanted me to open! Tried killing you in my world but failed because I was so weak!" Crying while holding his father's lifeless body. Attending his funeral. Infusing himself with the Goblin Serum. Fighting and losing to his world's Spider-Man. Harry remembers all the events that led him down this dark path.
BGM-Spider-Man 3 (Game) OST-Boss Fight
As his expression grows from stoic to twitching anger, Harry furiously clenches his shaking fist, "I can never forgive you…for taking EVERYTHING from me!", before his Aura of a God begins radiating with quiet fury that terrifies the heroes, "Lord Loki gave me power by using his magic. I will kill you and the gods will bring my father back to life. Only that will restore the Osborn name to its former glory!"
"HAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Harry then explodes with furious godly power, unleashing all his pent-up rage as one massive wrathful roar that shakes heaven and earth and paralyzes the dimensional heroes with fear. His former best friend is left wide open for a dash punch so fast and so horrifyingly devastating that it sends Spider-Man crashing through multiple ruins at blinding speed, which is instantly followed up with a ferocious uppercutting sword slash that knocks him high into the air. Spidey recovers by activating his X-Aura in midair and swiftly retaliates with a Web Strike Punch that Harry stops with his own punch. The two friends exchange glares once more, this time with Peter looking remorseful and Harry looking apathetic, before continuing their battle in the sky. Spidey throws a roaring flurry of punches that are easily deflected by Goblin's enhanced reflexes, then quickly overpowered through with one brutal kick that crashes the webslinger hard to some ruins.
"SPIDER-MAN!" Pit screamed out with horrific concern for his friend.
'Pitting two friends against each other! Have you lost your heart?!' Palutena angrily scolds Loki for manipulating Osborn.
'I was only being nice to the boy.' Loki quipped casually.
"We need to help him!" Pit told his other friends.

"Go if you want…" Suddenly revealing herself to her enemies is Dark Weiss, stoically standing beside Dark Sonic and Dark Lucina so they may confront their counterparts together, "But the others will stay with us!"
"Pit, we got this! Go stop Dark Pit!" Sonic ordered him.
But Pit retorts, "But Spider-!"
"We told you before, just believe in him!" Sonic fiercely cuts him off, "Besides, it's personal between them! GET GOING!"
BGM-Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War OST-Ichigo vs. Yhwach Theme (by Dude's Cover)
With frustrating reluctance, Pit was left with no choice but to split off from the team to hunt down Dark Pit alone. "Sorry for the delay!" The cocky Sonic smirks at his clone, with both Lucina and Weiss brandishing their weapons for a fierce fight.
"It's quite alright." quipped Dark Sonic. As Dark Weiss takes off her coat and sunglasses, and the exalted eye of Dark Lucina glows a murderous color, Dark Sonic expresses a dark purple aura alongside a demonic glare, "Let's begin this horror show, shall we?", before readying himself for a brutal battle.
So begins round two between the Dimensional Avengers and the Dark Avengers, starting with both teams lunging at and clashing fiercely with each other, generating an explosion that radiates across the ruined battlefield. The Sonics immediately engage in an intense one-on-one speed battle that sends them everywhere in the Temple Ruins, from the fountain to an open area to a mountain and to an altar on the hill, all while Dark Sonic tries caving in his rival's face with light-speed punches and Sonic trying to tear him apart with light-speed spin attacks.
"HRRAAAAAAAAAH!" Weiss lets out a fearsome war cry upon moving into the air to engage her copy in their own epic duel. Both Weisses clash several times with glyph-empowered strikes, with Dark Weiss repelling her counterpart in a strong burst of force and ultimately sending her crashing back down into the rubble below when they both surge with elemental energy and slam into each other in the air.
Dark Weiss lands and stands in front of the resulting dust cloud with a cold grimace and her hand on her hip. "A disappointment in the family, that's what you are. You lost the heart of a Schnee, allowing yourself to be bullied by children and insects when you are destined to take command. You will never live up to the legacy if you do not close your heart!"
"Glacial…" Weiss snarled beneath the rubble.
"Huh?"
"TORREEEEEENT!" Bursting herself free with a furious wave of ice pillars that scathe the surprised Dark Weiss at the last second of her dodge, Weiss reappears to stab-smash her clone into a mountain before being repelled by mystical lightning bolts. "Disgusting fake! Opening my heart was the best decision of my life! It led me to my friends and is helping me grow into the best woman the family SORELY needs!" Weiss intensely argued with her double's proclamations.
"Friends like Blake the Faunus who was once part of the terrorist group that ruined our lives, and the Spider that betrayed his OWN best friend and is now paying the ultimate price?! Their mere existence is a CANCER to our worlds!" Dark Weiss refuted.
"You and Harry get this through your thick skulls! Legacies should never be honored by spilling your friends' BLOOD!" Weiss yelled before furiously continuing their heated battle, to decide the true destiny of a Schnee.
Meanwhile at the open area, the Lucinas are moving across rubble and crossing swords at rapidly intense speeds. Sparks fly from clashing divine blades and countering similar tactics considering they are the same person that can easily read the other's moves, with Lucina backflipping into the air to avoid a slash and retaliate with rapidfire arrow shots that are deflected by the swings of Dark Lucina's sword. The dark swordswoman then throws her sword, in which her counterpart deflects and pays the price for falling for the decoy by allowing Dark Lucina to land a series of physical blows, then pushing her back with a powerful uppercut. And just after Dark Lucina recovers her sword, she is forced to use it to block and fiercely lock weapons with her recovered lookalike.
"Remind me again why you joined the Avengers?" Dark Lucina begins questioning her.
"As if you already don't know!" Lucina retorted.
"Stubborn child. Why keep fighting for other worlds' futures? Let them decide their own fate! All our struggles bringing peace to our world will be for naught by dragging in more wars!" Dark Lucina argued, with their clash ending in a bursting stalemate that repels each other.
"That is selfish! Our enemies are ruining those worlds as we speak and plan to conquer all!" Lucina retorted.
"Not our problem." Dark Lucina shrugged with indifference to other worlds' fates.
"Not our problem?!" Lucina snapped angrily, "It is our sworn duty to fight injustice wherever it may be! If you do not care for the fight, what is your plan if the enemy targets our world?"
"Then I will fight with all that I am. I AM the Princess of Ylisse. This is a war to decide a world's true future. We failed our future before. We lost everything to the Fell Dragon…the people of Ylisstol, our mother…and even our father. Luckily we were given a second chance. The future was restored and we became aware of the Masters. What should be done now is to bolster our world's defensives and enjoy the peace we so rightfully earned before the final war. So when our enemy invades, WE WILL BE READY TO PROTECT IT THIS TIME!" Dark Lucina explained her motivations, simply wanting to stop fighting and retire in peace.
"And you think it's fine to sacrifice the futures of other worlds for the sake of protecting your own so-called true future?!" Lucina questioned her selfish reasoning.
"There's a limit to what we can protect. And I will do everything I can to protect what I need to." retorted Dark Lucina, before deciding to continue her fearsome fight with her heroic counterpart.

Hero and Dark, everyone is fighting their opposite today. And that will include the Pits once they find each other. Pit grinds up a rail that is taking him toward a group of platforms floating in the sky. It is there he encounters Dark Pit standing at the top, finally ready for a proper bout with his double. Armed with the Palutena Bow and Silver Bow respectively, both confronting each other with the same fighting stance and battle quote, "Let's do this!", Pit and Dark Pit proceed to fight with equal fierce intensity.
BGM-Kid Icarus: Uprising OST-Boss Fight 1
"Bring it, puppet!" Dark Pit fires the first shot, literally by shooting an arrow that his double dodged perfectly.
"Who are you calling a puppet?!" Pit retorted, firing his own arrow that was seamlessly evaded by his clone taking to the skies.
"Palutena says jump, you jump. She says fight, you fight. It sounds like a very satisfying existence. For her, that is." taunted Dark Pit, flying around and poking fun at his double's blind loyalty to his goddess.
"I have absolute faith in Lady Palutena!" argued Pit, firing an arrow barrage that his clone flies past before charging at the hero like a fast destructive projectile that knocks him onto another floating platform.
"The Mirror of Truth doesn't lie. I'm a reflection of your true self. So maybe your faith in her isn't quite so absolute after all." proclaimed Dark Pit whilst dashing at his foe with his Electroshock Arm.
"What would you know about faith anyway, you treacherous blackheart?!" Pit countered his words, and his attack with a swift arrow shot to his back, "Lady Palutena always guides me the right way. That's why I follow her! And the Mirror of Truth you mentioned?! It's nothing more than a pane of lies. Pandora was just using it as bait!"
"Looks like I touched a nerve. Methinks the puppet doth protest too much." Pittoo mocked before flying away from his rival's followup blow.
"Oh, will you give it a rest already?" Pit scowled.
"OK, fine. Do what you want. Or rather, keep doing what she wants. But I, for one, refuse to be a puppet. These wings take ME wherever I want to go!" expressed Dark Pit, charging up his power for a frightening special attack.
"Not if I take you down first!" Pit declared.
Fully charged, Dark Pit rains countless arrows onto his rival's platform. Pit narrowly jumped to safety whilst firing his own charged shot at his clone's back, knocking him off the air only to quickly uppercut him back there with his Upperdash Arm. Dark Pit flies annoyed and in a fearsome blitz around the platforms, confusing Pit with many afterimages before the real clone slams him to eat dirt with a powerful axe kick and backflips firing an equally powerful arrow shot, one that the hero angel manages to recover and evade from. Both angels then switch to their dual-bladed weapons and roar while rushing at each other, clashing at speeds that are both equal and intense until it ends with their weapons locked at each other in a scowling stalemate.

Elsewhere at the Temple Ruins, the Sonics continued their heated battle until it takes them inside an underground cavern, leaving both hedgehogs to begin sweating and panting and the gods to comment on their new surroundings. 'This must have been a temple.' Palutena commented.
'Humans turn to the gods in times of need and forget them in times of prosperity. They really are a fickle bunch.' Medusa mocked.
"Like anyone would love you with that haircut." Sonic quipped.
"Got that right." Dark Sonic agreed.
'Watch your tongue! And whose side are you on, Dark Sonic?! I am your god! Never mock me again if you know what's good for you.' retorted Medusa, angrily threatening her dark servant.
"Last I checked, Pandora was my god and she's dead. Pray to yourself that won't happen to you." Dark Sonic mocked, ignoring the dark goddess's growling anger with him.
"See you're as much of a rebel as me." Sonic noted.
"It's like we're clones or something." Dark Sonic quipped dryly.
"It's been a while since I've tussled like this! I hope you're having fun too!" Sonic smirked cockily.
"I am." Dark Sonic responded stoically.
"Before we continue, have any dramatic insight on what makes me pathetic like your friends out there?" Sonic quipped.
Mockingly and calmly, Dark Sonic retorts, "Friends? Them? Funny. They have their uses, nothing more. Just weaklings that like to slow me down every now and then.", which shocks his blue double.
"You don't really mean that?" Sonic questioned his beliefs in friendship.
"Of course." Dark Sonic replied bluntly, "And as for why I don't like you, I just don't like you, that's all. C'mon!" He then takes his sadistic fighting stance, taunting his rival with, "Let's see how long your light speed can outrun darkness!", that prompts Sonic into striking his own fierce fighting pose.
BGM-Spider-Man 3 (Game) OST-Lizard Tension (Part 1)
Dark Sonic tries kicking Sonic, who counters with a swift kick himself before both ferocious hedgehogs kick each other's cheeks in simultaneously. "SONIC WAVE/DARK SONIC WAVE!" The Sonics shouted their special moves at once at each other, firing off powerful shockwaves that unleash an incredible explosion that decimates the underground collision from the resulting collision.
Outside, X-Aura Spider-Man and God Aura Goblin continue to be fighting at a standstill, with both riding atop the Sky Stick pummeling each other with brutal blows. "Harry, please! I didn't kill your dad!" Spidey talks to his corrupted friend, pleading with him to quit his misled mission for revenge.
"In my world, you did! In your world, you turned him into a monster and imprisoned him like he was a criminal! Not to mention you KILLED ME! ME! I WILL AVENGE THE OSBORN FAMILY OF BOTH WORLDS!" Goblin retorted while riding his glider to furiously slam his rival into ruins, revealing his knowledge of the Osborns' fate in the Prime Universe.
"You're my best friend, Harry! I never wanted to hurt you! I DON'T want to fight you!" Spidey argued, smacking his friend across the face while still latched to his glider.
"Yeah? Well then hurry up and die!" Goblin tries attacking him with a jumping arm-blade slash, only for Spidey to evade as swiftly as him web-zipping back onto the glider.
"You obviously know your dad was the Green Goblin and what happened to you in my world! Norman was trying to kill me, then killed you, then tried to kill the ENTIRE WORLD!" Spidey proclaimed whilst kneeing his friend hard to the chest.
"Wish he had killed you! You had no right to take him from me! But soon I'll get him back!" Goblin then tries slicing his friend to pieces with his sword, forcing Spidey to finally leap off his glider.
"Loki and Medusa are just USING YOU! One of them loves to parade around as the God of LIES! You can't trust them! They'll just throw you away like trash once you did their bidding! You're smarter than this, Harry! Don't let hatred cloud your mind!" Spidey tried reasoning with him, but alas, it all seems to be vain when his friend is fully corrupted by the dark gods.
"Shut up! I don't wanna hear anymore of YOUR lies!" Goblin yelled, then proceeds to summon a lifelike model of Medusa's head for his hand to wield.
"Betrayed Medusa already? I knew you were in there somewhere!" Spidey quipped.
'Sorry, Bug, but that's a new power I gifted him. If you know anything about me, then you would know that my power can be quite petrifying!' Medusa taunted him.
By commanding the godly power of the Medusa Head, Goblin fires a petrifying beam capable of turning Spidey's web shield to stone when he conjured it to block the attack. "You don't say." Spidey snarked. The Web Warrior then flees, pushing his acrobatic web-slinging reflexes to the limit by dodging the rapid flurry of petrifying beams, until he found his opening to web away Goblin's weapon and Web Strike smash him onto the nearest mountain. Goblin knocks him down and gets the sinister idea to bury him beneath the mountain, blowing it up with several god-empowered pumpkin bombs that causes massive rocks to complete the job.

'By the gods!' Palutena reacted with horrific concern at Spider-Man's seeming defeat.
Medusa laughs victoriously, 'Yes! Squashed like the mortal bug he is!'
'Your potential surpasses that of your father. I made the right decision recruiting you. Take pride in that, Goblin.' Loki complimented his slave.
"I will, Master." Goblin responded respectfully.
However, Spider-Man is not down for the count just yet. A hopeful blue light begins shining out from beneath the gigantic pile of heavy rubble, alongside a roar that could only belong to the vessel of an ancient multiversal beast that is unleashing newfound power to burst and liberate himself of all the now-scattered rubble with just his primordial force, "GROOAAAAAAWWWWRRRR!"
BGM-Mega Man Battle Network 6 OST-Surge of Power! ( 15th Arrange Best Tracks)
"What?" Goblin reacted with a surprise look at this unexpected phenomenon.
The battle between Sonics, between Weisses, between Lucinas, between Pits, all battles at the Temple Ruins cease so all mortals, angels, and gods present could stand and watch at this unbelievable moment. "Spidey…" Pit muttered concernedly, wondering what is happening to his friend.
Within the massive dust cloud there is an imposing glowy-eyed silhouette of Spider-Man consumed by a demonically divine aura. When both the dust and aura dispersed to the wind, all bare witness to the fact that the Web Warrior has transformed. Beasted Out to his new menacing yet incredibly badass Man-Spider-like form courtesy of Palutena. After a moment struggling to adjust to this rageful state, Spider-Man sets his sights solely on New Goblin and lunges at him with ferociously amazing speeds that he has never displayed until now, roaring, "I'VE HAD ENOUUUUGH!", then unleashing a monstrous war cry and striking Goblin in the face with a savage claw swipe that sends him flying through countless ruins in a blink of an eye after he was smashed off his hoverboard.
'The Other has transformed?! And what is this light I'm sensing within him now?!' Loki questioned with disbelieving shock in his voice.
'Palutena, just what did you DO?!' Medusa angrily accused her.
'I pulled a prank on him. That's it.' Palutena quipped casually.
The beasty battle continues with Beast Out Spider-Man not giving his rival a quiet second to catch his breath by unleashing an unspeakable assault. All in blinding rapid succession that has him bouncing around ruins, he charges at Goblin to roundhouse kick him up into the air, then dashes up and claws him away, before dashing over and down behind to double kick him further up into the air. The Sky Stick intercepts to catch Goblin, who watches Spidey dash back into the air around him before shouting, "TAKE THAT!", and hurling a pumpkin bomb that was immediately outpaced by the transformed webhead that hook kicks Goblin down into the ground.
'Damn you…' Goblin snarls in his head, recovering with assistance from his God Aura and spotting Beast Spidey lunging at him again. "You little bastard-!" He throws an intercepting punch, only for the dodgy Spidey to instantly appear behind and kick him away, in which Goblin quickly retaliates with a dashing arm-blade slash that was clawed through before receiving a brutal growling punch to his gut, much to his pained astonishment.
"HARRY!" Dark Weiss exclaimed in surprise concern for the team leader.
"KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE BALL!" Weiss exclaimed, before surprising her distracted clone with, "SNOWFLAKE!", defeating her with a series of lightning-fast slashes rising into the air with the aid of her glyphs.
"AETHER!" Lucina shouted as she's ready to defeat her dark counterpart. Despite putting up a stern resistance, Dark Lucina falls to the raging power of the hero's downward spinning slash.
"DARK SONIC WIND!" Dark Sonic screamed, ensnaring his rival with an explosively powerful blue whirlwind. But shockingly, Sonic survived the attack and plans to end this with his own special power by harnessing the power of a golden ring. "What?! A Power Ring?!" The horrified Dark Sonic recognized.
"SUPER SPIN MODE!" declared Sonic, using the Ring to amplify his Spin Attack's power and turn him into an unstoppable projectile that smashes his evil clone to his humiliating defeat.
Meanwhile, the battle with New Goblin reaches its stunning conclusion. Harry is completely overwhelmed by Beast Spidey's primal power and is about to be finished by one special attack. "EIGHT-LEGGED FURY!" Spidey said fiercely, using all four human limbs and all four spider-legs to decimate his opponent with a fast-striking combo. No godlike power can help Goblin withstand the ultimate power and lightning-fast speed of an arachnid, resulting in Spidey blazing in a circle around Goblin whilst surrounded by light-empowered webbing and finishing him off by spinning rapidly.

The Dark Avengers have been defeated. All four members found themselves regrouped with severe wounds that makes it difficult for them to stand and glare at the victorious Dimensional Avengers. "We can't win like this! We must retreat!" Dark Weiss suggested to Harry, who scoffs in agreement.
"Harry!" Beast Spidey confronted his corrupted friend.
"That's an interesting power you got there, Spider-Man…You're more of a devil than I thought. Fitting in this world of the gods." Goblin mocked him in exhaustion.
"Call me whatever you want. I'm going to use this power to save you. Count on it!" Spider-Man declared.
"Like how you tried to 'save' me in your world?" Harry mocked him for failing to save his counterpart, putting back on his mask scoffing, "No thanks.", before he and his Dark Avengers return to their secret home base through magic teleportation.
Somberly, the frowning Spidey returns to his normal state muttering, "Harry…", as he truly feels responsible for his best friend's descent into darkness.
There is one more battle that is about to reach its conclusion. After being knocked back by one charged bow shot, Dark Pit was finally defeated by his heroic counterpart in their epic duel. "I did it!" Pit cheered happily.
"This isn't over yet!" Pittoo retorted arrogantly, refusing to admit defeat despite falling to an exhausted knee by claiming, "I went easy on you this time.", before retreating to the skies.
"Wait!" Pit tried reaching out for him.
'No, let him go.' Palutena stopped him, shining her light over the victorious yet scattered heroes that lifts them off the ground, 'He's in for a big fall, and we need to get back to stopping Medusa and Loki.' She declared before her heroes are whisked away for rest.
BGM-Kid Icarus: Uprising OST-Solo Menu
KFX Here: Decided to have a little fun with Spider-Man this time around by introducing his own "Beast Out" form. It takes inspiration from two sources: One is Sonic the Werehog from Sonic Unleashed, who was Sonic transformed by Dark Gaia's energy (His world's God of Darkness). And the other is Arachne, based on a real Greek Myth where the mortal woman Arachne was transformed into a spider by Athena (the goddess that Palutena herself is based off of). Beast Out is one of two main gimmicks that will be explored for the rest of this story.
