In a blue flash, Sydney appeared in her bed wearing just her underwear while laying on her side, and was right in the middle of kissing Harry who was also laying on his side in just his underwear. Then as the kiss ended, Harry said, "Man. Sex with you tonight was amazing Sydney. But I really should be going." Then Sydney turned towards a mirror in the bedroom she was in, and saw she was now in a version of herself that was in her 20's. Sydney took a deep breath as she said, "Right. I'm in my 20's, so... it's okay that we're having sex." Harry smirked as he said, "Well we can be whatever age you wanna pretend we are, and... oh God." Then Harry took off his underwear, and began to pull off Sydney's underwear, as Sydney nervously remained still in shock as she said, "Umm... Harry, I don't think we should..." Then as Harry brought his naked body close to Sydney's now naked body, he said, "Shh. Lets see if we can do it one more time before..." Then suddenly the door to the bedroom opened and Olive stepped in as she said, "Hey Sydney, I..." Then Sydney and Harry froze as they both saw Olive walk in. As Olive looked at Sydney and Harry naked in bed together, Olive's face became that of shock and horror as she said, "Sydney!? I... how could you cheat on me with Harry!? I thought you loved me!" Then Olive took a ring off her finger and threw it at Sydney. Then Olive stormed out of the room, while Sydney picked up the ring and said, "Oh boy..."
Harry meanwhile began to put his underwear and clothes on as he looked a bit guilty while saying, "Um... I'll just go now." Then Harry quickly left, as Sydney put her own underwear and clothes on. Then as Sydney brushed her hand on the jade stone attached to her necklace, suddenly from it: a holographic image of Cyber Olive appeared. Cyber Olive waved as she said, "Hey Sydney Prime. How are things going so..." Sydney immediately cut off Cyber Olive and said, "Cyber Olive! I'm in a universe where I'm married to this world's Olive... but I apparently just cheated on her with Harry! What the heck is going on!?" Cyber Olive looked a bit flustered as she said, "What? But you would never... well, look. All I know is you're inhabiting the body of a version of yourself who is nearly 30, and... yeah, according to my computers I'm looking at from where I am: it looks like you married this world's Olive right after you both turned 18."
As Sydney looked a bit freaked out, she said, "Yeah... but what am I here to do? Am I here to save this Sydney and Olive's marriage? Or am I supposed to make sure it ends, because... sorry, but... me and Olive!? I've never liked her romantically! The thought of me and her is just... Eww! Could I be here to make sure I get together with Harry; because that just feels more right." Then Cyber Olive looking a bit surprised said, "Sydney Prime... this is the multiverse. What may seem impossible on your world, can be very possible on others. Besides... there are other worlds out there where the Sydney and Olive of that reality are happily in love." Sydney sighed as she said, "Look, do you have any other information that can help me?" Then Olive said, "Well, I can't tell you the future of any reality you land in. However my computers can predict a general idea of what is to happen in the future if you don't intervene and... Oh no. Sydney Prime... according to my computer here... I think you're here to stop a death that is going to happen... now!" Then Sydney looking confused said, "But, the only person that I could save right now would be... Olive!"
Sydney then ran out of the bedroom she was in, and headed towards a kitchen where she saw Olive standing. As Sydney approached Olive, she saw Olive was holding a glass with a mixture of dark liquid inside. Then Sydney saw near Olive were several bottles of bleach, laundry detergent, insecticide, and weed killer. Then Sydney immediately hit the glass and liquid into the drain as she yelled, "Olive, what are you doing!?" An angry Olive with tears in her eyes said, "Shut up Sydney! I've lost everything! First Lauren, and now you!" A confused Sydney then said, "Lauren? Who are you talking abou..." A furious Olive then yelled, "Our freaking daughter Sydney! Our daughter is dead, and now our marriage has reached it's end, and now my life is about to be end too!" Then Sydney got out her phone, instantly recognized a contact, and dialed it. A confused Olive then said, "What are you doing?" Then Sydney said, "Calling your mom. I'm gonna ask her to come over and pick you up so you can stay with her for a few days." Then an angry Olive yelled, "Just stop it! Stop acting like you care Syd! What do you think calling my mom is gonna do!? Save our marriage!? Make me forget what I just saw!?" Then a frustrated Sydney said, "I don't know what it'll do! But I know it'll at least give you time to clear your head, so you can make your next decision while you're less upset." Olive groaned in anger, and then said, "Fine."
Hours later, Sydney wad going through boxes in an attic. Suddenly from Sydney's jade stone: a holographic image of Cyber Olive appeared. Cyber Olive instantly then said, "How are things going?" Sydney gasped in terror for a second, but then calmed down and said, "Cyber Olive. Sorry. Just a little jumpy lately from seeing any Olive right now." Cyber Olive then said, "Sorry. So... what's been going on?" Sydney sighed and then said, "The Olive of this world mentioned that we both had a daughter who died. I didn't see any photos of a daughter in our home, but then I remembered that after my mom died: my dad put away all photos of her for awhile. He didn't throw them away. He just put them in the attic. So I figured my doppelganger would've done the same with her daughter, and... Bingo. There they are." Sydney then opened up a photo album. In it were many photos of herself and Olive posed with a little girl.
Then as Sydney flipped through the pages, she said, "Hold on. Look at these dates. Two years ago: there are photos that appear of this Sydney and Olive's daughter now residing in a children's hospital. These dates go for about a year, with photos of their daughter having no hair; meaning she must've had chemo treatment, and... oh my God. This world's Sydney and Olive... their daughter died of cancer." Cyber Olive looking a bit sad said, "That's... really painful to hear. No parent deserves to lose their child. But to have their life hanging over the edge for so long... it must've really hurt them a lot." Then a confused Sydney said, "This world's Sydney and Olive must've been torn up inside... but you'd think tragedy would bring them closer together. I mean when my mom died, it only caused my dad and me to start spending way more time together. What happened to the Sydney and Olive of this reality?" Then Cyber Olive said, "I... I don't know."
Sydney was sitting on the couch of the home she resided in as she had a troubled look on her face. Then from the front door, a quiet and calm Olive walked in. Sydney then jumped up and said, "Olive. Hey." Olive barely made eye contact with Sydney as she said, "Hi Sydney." Then Sydney took a step forward as she said, "It's... good to see you're okay." Olive nodded her head and said, "Yeah. My mom helped me sign up for therapy. I'm gonna be doing it daily for awhile, and... I'd like you to come with me tomorrow." Sydney made a little smile as she said, "Great. We can talk about any and all issues we're going through, and..." Olive immediately cut Sydney off as she said, "And we'll discuss our plans for divorce." Sydney looked a bit shocked as she said, "Olive... hold on. Wait. I..." Olive remaining calm, kept her eyes barely focused on Sydney as she said, "Sydney, I want this to occur as civilly and maturely as possible. I... I'll be in my room for now. Good night." Olive then left the room, as Sydney remained looking confused.
The next day: Sydney and Olive sat in the office of a female therapist. As the female therapist looked at her notepad she said, "Now then ladies. I see you listed the reason for your intended separation and divorce id due to infidelity. Now would you care to elaborate on any further reasoning for this, and when you both believed you had irreconcilable differences?" Then Sydney looking a bit unsure of what to say, then said, "Well... I know things were a little rough for us a year ago when our daughter passed away." Olive rolled her eyes and said, "A little rough? Sydney, you have no idea how rough it was for me. We were sleeping in separate bedrooms and barely were talking." A confused Sydney then said, "Wait. If we were married, why were we in separate beds?" An annoyed Olive then said, "Because since we both saw Lauren at different times during the day when she was in the hospital: we were basically were living in different mental time zones, and it meant we decided to sleep in separate beds so we wouldn't disturb the other. But after Lauren died, you seemed to be just content to continue sleeping separate from me; always preferring to click away at your computer every night until you passed out away from now. I mean, you've barely touched me or talked to me in the last year. And after seeing you in bed with Harry: I now know why. I... I can't understand why anyone would risk giving up someone who vowed to love them forever, for a relationship that doesn't even mater." Then Sydney had a look of clarity on her face as she softly said to herself, "Well... maybe there is a way that I can understand."
Sydney sat clicking away at a computer, as Cyber Olive stood near her. As Cyber Olive stood near Sydney, she said, "I don't get it Sydney Prime. What do you mean when you say that you can look into the mind of your doppelganger. You do realize that you don't have the ability to share memories with the other Sydney's of the multiverse, right?" Sydney then said, "Of course I know that. But in the age of the internet, looking back through lots of any person's personal messages can say a lot about their mindset. So I just scrolled way up through the messages my doppelganger made with Harry. And from what I can gather, it seems this world's Sydney and Harry were just childhood friends that never dated as teenagers. Now like Olive said in our therapy session today: she and this world's Sydney indeed took turns spending time with their daughter in the hospital, resulting in them being too tired to talk when either got home at different times of the day. So when this world's Sydney and Harry started sending messages back and forth, it at first was just Sydney trying to get comfort from a friend. But then without Olive talk to or received comfort from, this world's Sydney and Harry began sharing everything with each other, and eventually began sending each other explicit pictures of themselves for comfort. Of course their picture sharing eventually led to much more." Then a confused Cyber Olive said, "So because this world's Olive wasn't around Sydney a lot, that caused this world's Sydney to want to have sex with Harry?"
Sydney then said, "Not quite. If you look at the messages Sydney sent Harry after her daughter died, this world's Sydney... well she sounds down right suicidal. Saying stuff like how she doesn't feel a need to exist anymore and how she felt like a glitch in the universe that deserved to be removed. It's really depressing stuff." Then Cyber Olive said, "So it sounds like this world's Sydney was so sad and depressed, that she wasn't even thinking about long-term consequences." Sydney nodded her head and said, "Yeah. I mean when my mom died, I remember being so out of it. I forgot to look both ways before I crossed the street, and ate so much junk food: because just thinking about how the consequences of my choices today would affect tomorrow... that alone was too much for me to dwell on. But for this world's Sydney to go through all that again, but this time not talk to any loved one she was living with about it... I must've driven her over the edge." Cyber Olive then said, "And this world's Sydney maybe didn't talk to her wife about how she was feeling and get comfort from her, because she was already getting comfort from Harry." Sydney nodded her head and said, "Yeah. But this world's Sydney didn't see how getting comfort from the wrong person was just making everything worse." Cyber Olive sighed and said, "It's too bad this world's Olive didn't realize this." Sydney with a look of determination in her face said, "Well... maybe she still can."
Olive was sitting on the bed in her bedroom while reading a book. Sydney then stepped inside, as she said, "Olive?" Olive barely looked at Sydney as she said, "Yes?" Sydney then put onto Olive's bed: her laptop, her phone, her tablet, and a piece of paper. Sydney then said, "These are all my electronics, and a paper that includes the password to open them all. I... apparently never deleted any online messages or conversations I had with anyone over the last several years. So... you can see literally all the details of everything I kept from you... including what I was doing with Harry." A very confused looking Olive said, "Sydney... what are you doing?" Sydney then plainly said, "I want to be completely open with you again, and this is my way of doing it. Also, from now on: I'll just be using my dad's old land line phone I found in the attic to make calls. I'll only look at e-mails on that laptop when you're around, and now you have the means to check what I'm receiving and sending whenever you want." Olive still looking confused then said, "Sydney... why are you doing this?" Sydney then looked straight at Olive as she said, "Because when we got married, we made a vow to stay together through good times and bad times, and... I failed in that... but I don't want to fail ever again..." Then Sydney quietly left the bedroom.
The next day: Sydney was sitting in the public library reading a book. Sydney then got up to put the book away, when suddenly from behind a shelf: Harry appeared and pulled Sydney back with him. Sydney looked very confused, while a smiling Harry said, "Hey Syd. I missed you." Harry then kissed Sydney on the lips, but then an upset Sydney pushed Harry away. Harry then said, "What was that for?" A confused looking Sydney then said, "You have to ask? For kissing me." Then a confused Harry then said, "Whoa. We were doing far more than kissing the other day." Then a confidant looking Sydney said, "Well... I'm trying to repair things with Olive." Then Harry said, "Olive? Syd, just dump her. I was the one that spent a year giving you a good time. Don't you remember all our late night sexting sessions, and online role-play we did? And on Saturday nights, I was the one having sweet sex with you; not Olive. Come on Syd. You know I'm a better person for you than her." Sydney sighed, and then said, "Harry... I get that you perceive yourself as being the better alternative to Olive. But there's one important flaw you have that makes us incompatible." A curious Harry then said, "And what's that?" Then Sydney with determination in her face said, "If you're the kind of guy who was willing to have sex with a married woman before... what's to say you wouldn't be willing to do it again?" Then Sydney turned her back on Harry, and walked directly away.
Sydney then walked into her home and stood surprised as she saw a prepared meal for her. As Sydney sat down surprised, she said, "Where did this come from?" Then Olive stepped out of the kitchen and said, "I made it." A surprised Sydney then said, "Really? Um... why?" Then Olive remained standing as she said, "Because I did look through a bunch of your old messages, and... I didn't like what I saw Syd... but at least I understand what happened better... and at least I understand you better now as well." Sydney made a little smile as she said, "Thank you Olive. Listen... I want you to keep all my devices I gave you. I want to eliminate from my life all the things that tempted me to do what I did, and I want you to be able to check on how sincere I am. No marriage deserves to fall apart. I want the marriage of you and this world's Sydney's... I mean: me and you... I want our marriage to last." Olive then stepped towards Sydney as she said, "Sydney... I still don't know if our marriage is gonna last... or what's going to even happen tomorrow... except for the fact that I'd you to start attending therapy regularly with me tomorrow... and that I'm gonna change my work schedule so we can be home around the same times again." Sydney nodded her head as she said, "I'd like that." Then Olive leaned forward and kissed Sydney on the cheek. Then Olive walked off to her bedroom and said, "Good night Sydney." Sydney made a smile, but then suddenly she was surrounded by a bright blue light and disappeared.
Sydney suddenly appeared in the blue void, as she said, "I'm here again!? Aw, come on! I was about to eat some food." Then in a flash: a table appeared with a burger, fries, and soda on it. Then a screen appeared with Cyber Olive on it, as she said, "Here you go Sydney Prime!" Sydney then sat in a chair in front of the table and immediately began eating the food. Then with a confused look, Sydney looked at Cyber Olive as she said, "Okay. Exactly how many jumps to wherever were you waiting to tell me you can give me food here?" Cyber Olive then said, "Sorry Sydney Prime. It's just that you haven't been here long enough." Sydney then took another bite of the food as she said, "So... is there any way to tell me if things worked out between the Sydney and Olive of that last world I was in?" Then Cyber Olive said, "Well, as you know Sydney Prime: I can't see into the future of any world. I mean... that other Sydney and Olive... it could take years for them to potentially heal. But according to my computers which can predict the future of certain realities... it does look like things work out for them. You saved the day again Sydney Prime." Then Sydney said, "Well... that's good to hear. So anyway, when am I gonna be sent to the next..." Then suddenly in a blue light: Sydney immediately disappeared. Cyber Olive then sighed and said, "Well... glad the Sydney and Olive of that last world got back together. Now... if only I could get back together with my Sydney." Then a computer began to beep near Olive. Then a curious Cyber Olive saw a text message appear on her nearby computer screen. As Cyber Olive looked at the message, she said, "It's a message from... Wait. How could that reality be contacting me?" Then Cyber Olive saw a text message that read: It took me months of study and pain to understand the inner workings of the jade stones, but now I might have an idea on where your Sydney is...
In a blue flash: Sydney appeared in a cemetery. As Sydney looked at herself and her surroundings, she said, "Well at least I'm my normal age again, and... apparently I'm in a cemetery. Okay, that's not creepy at all." Then as Sydney looked around the cemetery, she said, "Whoa. This place is exactly like the cemetery on my world." Then Sydney saw a grave stone with a large branch in front of it. Sydney upon looking at the grave stone said, "That's mom's grave. Uggh. Don't the grounds keepers keep this place neat. Let me get rid of that branch." Sydney then moved the branch out of the way, but upon looking at the grave stone: Sydney's eyes widened. On the grave stone: Sydney didn't see the name of her mother. Instead, Sydney saw the words - RIP - Sydney Reynolds: August 21st, 2007 - July 8th, 2020. Sydney backed up looking freaked out as she said, "What... what is going on here?"
