Chapter 2: MishMashed City
Niko wasn't expecting to be in a city again. But it seems that's what life had in store for them. Niko shook her head. First ask them who they are.
"Who are you?" When Niko said that the person's head whipped towards them.
"Niko, it's me, I'm User." Niko was shocked for a second but that shock turned into tears and those tears turned into hugging.
But then they heard a noise from a nearby alleyway. What came out was a strange creature made out of mold?
When it saw Niko it sounded angry. Most people in a situation like this have fight or flight, but Niko had a third one. Freeze.
User tried to hit it but they went straight through it? Niko couldn't help but close her eyes as it approached. Niko was expecting to get hurt, but when she heard a sickening crunch that got followed by more.
"Hey kid, you okay?"
Michelle has at least been wandering around for an hour or so. She saw a lot of different things like every building seemed to be in a different language from each other, even a shop they passed by had a language she didn't even know.
At Least thirty minutes ago Michelle tried to climb atop a tower to get a better view. Didn't really work cause she still decided to head a random direction anyways.
From the tower she saw many different buildings, some with spikes and she took note that it seemed to nonstop rain over them.
But she got cut from her thoughts as she saw a girl standing completely still with thier eyes closed. Then she saw a creature approaching them fast.
Michelle ran over and punched it as hard as she could. When it fell she just started stomping on its head over and over.
When it stopped trying to fight she went to check on the kid. They still had their eyes closed. Michelle didn't approach them so they wouldn't get scared of her.
"Hey kid, you okay?" When Michelle said that Nikos eyes snapped open. Niko saw this woman who was definitely taller than normal.
But that ain't what caught Nikos attention. What caught it was that the woman killed that creature. Niko was happy and a little scared for herself.
Something that was strange though was that User tried talking to Michelle, but she didn't even acknowledge them.
"Why aren't you responding to User?"
"Kid, who are you talking about? It's only us here." Michelle was now just as confused as Niko because Michelle only saw her. But now is not the time for that.
"Are you hurt in any way?"
"No." That response relieved Michelle, she doesn't know what she would do if the kid was hurt, not aft— never mind.
"Is it alright if I approach you?" Michelle didn't want to just start walking towards Niko randomly, that would scare her!
"Y-yes."
"Okay, I just want to make sure you're okay." Michelle had to calm them down, luckily she has a built in music box.
Niko heard music start from somewhere? But quickly realized it was coming from Michelle.
"Okay, let's do introductions. I'm Michelle."
"I-I-I'm Niko."
"Alright Niko, do you happen to know where we are right now?"
"N-no. Sorry." This response is what Michelle dreaded. But now she knows that there might be others stuck here too.
"Niko, how about we start moving because I have a feeling that more of those creatures may be nearby."
Niko didn't even think about that! There could be more around and standing will just not help right now.
"Have you ever had a piggyback ride?"
"No, why?"
"How about I give you one."
Alright second chapter done, Niko and Michelle now met. Now is the point I should address, every character is not gonna be in all chapters. Have a great day, afternoon or night and see you in the next chapter.
