Spider-Man: Watch out! Here comes the Spider-Man! As scientifically impressive those Reset Bombs were, we had to shut them down all the way to the source which was their Depot. Along the way, we started practicing with the Dream Stone and learned to power up by infusing ourselves with dream friends. It felt incredible! You won't win against our bonds, Virid!

Issue 14: Tranquility of the Moon
Overworld, World of Kid Icarus.
It is a beautiful night for Grimadoom the Hedgehog to fly relaxingly through the human realm. With Enchantress and Super-Skrull preparing the planet for invasion, the android hedgehog spends his evening exploring the world and searching for a little fun to pass the time. Grimadoom muses, 'It won't be long until the invasion. Good thing too. I'm dying from boredom. Gods and heroes are embroiled in war, and I'm just flying here missing out on the action. Ah well. The look on their faces when they suffer a dimensional invasion will make up for this. It'll be the gods' fault for thinking they are so above mortals that they don't bother to look down. I will commend their power, but they fool themselves into believing they are all-knowingly invincible that can never be surpassed. Soon, I'll prove them all wrong.' He grimaced, revealing to have a disdain for gods.
Suddenly, a huge explosion was heard which got the curious Grimadoom to stop and wonder, "What was that?", before flying toward the source to investigate.
BGM-Super Dragon Ball Heroes OST-Competitive Battle
That explosion came from a forgotten city left in ruins during a merciless battle between the Forces of Nature and a mysterious combatant. Grimadoom lands on a rooftop to spy on the battle, quickly discovering Dark Sonic was the maniac that caused the explosion for he too is here to find something to quell his boredom. And what better way to have fun than to be alone massacring a massive army of Nature Troops. All enemies rush at him, only for the Darkhog to focus on kicking one to death across the face, then backflipping for a spindashing kick to the chest of another before punching a third mook, right as he relishes in slaughtering dozens more with a Light Speed Attack.
'Sonic…? No. Something is different about him. Like his whole character has flipped into something sinister.' thought Grimadoom, sensing that this Sonic is different from the one acknowledges as a rival.
At a quick glance, the curious Dark Sonic spots Grimadoom and forces him out of hiding by kicking the last monster right at him. Grimadoom effortlessly dodged his attack and accepts his invitation to come down, resulting in catching his light speed punch with ease.

"You look familiar." Dark Sonic said, recognizing Grim from Sonic's memories.
"Likewise." Grimadoom snarked stoically.
After reaching a stalemate in their very brief fight, the two hedgehogs disengage to have a normal chat. "What are you doing in this dimension, faker?" Dark Sonic mockingly asked.
"Faker? I think you're the fake hedgehog around here. You're comparing yourself to me when the original can barely match up? Ha! You're not even good enough to be my fake!" Grimadoom quipped, deducing Dark Sonic as his rival's clone.
Ticked off by his mocking, Dark Sonic retorts, "I'll make you eat those words!"
"Come up with more original lines." Grimadoom snarked.
Before they can engage in a proper bout, Dark Sonic receives a call through his earpiece and growlingly answers it, "I'm busy!"
'No you're not!' Dark Weiss retorted through the comms, 'Lord Loki has assigned us a new mission. Meet us at these coordinates. NO excuses or I'm reporting you to our masters!'
Angered and heavily reluctant to follow orders, Dark Sonic tells his fellow black hedgehog, "Guess I'll embarrass you another time. I promise not to rat you out to the others. You're mine alone to destroy." And before running off to his secret mission, he glances one last insult at Grim, "See ya later, moron!"
"Moron?" Grimadoom reacted to that insult with calming fury, glaring with the intent to murder his new rival. As soon as he figures out where he ran off to in a hurry.

BGM-Kid Icarus: Uprising OST-The Lunar Sanctum
"Again today I will go soaring through the sky! My enemies, I'll dish 'em up in a stir-fry! Gracious goddess of light watches from up above! At dinnertime I always show the cook some love!" sang Pit, happily flying through the nightly sky with his Avengers friends that were amused by his singing.
'What was he singing?' Palutena asked telepathically.
"Just a little victory song he made up. He's been practicing all day. Doesn't match up to my theme song." Iron Spider quipped before singing, "Spider-Man, Spider-Man. Does whatever a spider can…"
"With Viridi stopped, we can refocus our intentions in defeating the Dark Gods!" Lucina believed.
'Not quite. We still have to contend with her forces. Specifically, Arlon the Serene.' Palutena announced.
"He sounds fancy. Is he one of her commanders?" Sonic questioned.
'Yes, and he has a weapon so lethal, it makes Reset Bombs seem like firecrackers.' Palutena proclaimed.
"Like what? He weaponized global warming?" Sonic quipped.
'Not quite. Arlon's base is close by. You see the moon?' Palutena asked.
"Yeah, it's really pretty tonight." Pit smiled at the gorgeous moon in the sky.
'And what about that?' Palutena pointed out another moon.
"Like I said, they're pretty." Pit replied. It only took a curious second for the heroes to shockingly realize, "Wait a sec…There are two moons?!"
"That should not be possible." Weiss commented.
"This world keeps getting weirder and weirder." Spidey joked.
'They're like eyes watching you.' Palutena described.
"I wish they wouldn't. I get stage fright." Pit groaned.
Forebodingly, the second moon begins to split open. "Whoa whoa whoa! Is that the Death Star?" The startled Spidey commented.
'THAT'S Arlon's Lunar Sanctum. Clearly, there's more to it than meets the eye.' Palutena revealed the name of the moon-inspired temple.
"Very cool!" The awestruck Pit remarked, right before he and his team narrowly avoided by blasted into oblivion by devastatingly massive lasers from the Sanctum, "And dangerous!"
"That is the Death Star!" Spidey exclaimed.
"Reminds me more of Space Colony ARK!" Sonic responded.
"Same difference! They both have lasers that can obliterate planets!" Spidey snarked frantically.
'We're going in!' Palutena stated, sending the team closer to begin their mission.
So many lasers from the Lunar Sanctum are unleashed onto the heroes in addition to the massive beam from the cat eye-like cannon, but none of them can land a hit on the small fliers that either have amazing spider reflexes, awesome superspeed, or just incredible skill. "We're getting close!" Lucina said whilst approaching the temple.
'I'll get you there. Just focus on avoiding fire.' Palutena replied.
"Easier said than done! These lasers are quite the security system!" Spidey retorted while extremely avoiding an onslaught of lasers at once.
"You're telling me! Thank goodness for all that racing in the Grand Prix! My reaction time has never been so flawless!" Weiss said gratefully as they fly in closer.
'With all THIS firepower, Arlon must be preparing for a massive attack.' Palutena speculated.
'Why on earth would I be attacking? I'm far too busy…defending, my dear.' That claim was then telepathically countered by the suave master of the Sanctum himself, much to the heroes' surprise.
"Huh?!" Pit reacted.
'You must be Commander Arlon.' Palutena recognized.
'Pleasure to make your acquaintance, Lady Palutena. And yours too, young masters Pit and the Dimensional Avengers. I have heard tales of your prowess from our Mistress Viridi.' Arlon politely greeted his enemies.
"Well, that's…weirdly nice of her…" Sonic replied doubtfully.
"Seriously, does everyone have telepathy?" Spidey joked, having come to notice so many of their recent enemies have psychic powers.
'She said I mustn't let your attacks spread chaos HERE of all places. Before you cause a most unnatural harm, let us sit down for a chat.' Arlon suggested.
'I might consider it if you withdrew your forces, and banded with us to face the Underworld Army together.' Palutena bargained with the reticent butler.
'Those decisions fall to the will of Mistress Viridi. Unfortunately, it's entirely out of my purview. I do hope you understand.' Arlon declined her impossible bargain.
"What's a purview? And why do you talk like that? Bad guys are supposed to be more like 'Graaahhh!' and 'I'm gonna KEEL you!'" Pit quipped.
"Villains are like that?" The naïve Lucina questioned.
"Not really." Sonic replied.
'Regardless, the young master is skilled in impressions, I see. Would you care to perform more?' Arlon asked formally.
"Uh, that's all I've got." Pit replied sheepishly.
Realizing that they won't be able to reach an agreement with Arlon, the heroes continue their mission regardless. Lasers from turret emplacements were weaved through and destroyed as they were passed, with a small challenge appearing behind the team in the form of an elite pack of Bladers. Their own lasers devastate the heroic fliers, damaging them far faster and more efficiently than the station's weapon emplacements had been able to. Still, once Sonic charged up his Light Speed Attack, they didn't last long and were instantly smacked out of the sky.
As they near the Sanctum's core, it opens up, scaring Palutena into shouting, 'Guys! Watch out!'
"Huh?" said Pit, just a split second before Spidey pulls the screaming angel away from the massive laser beam fired from the core, "Aaaaaaaugh!"
'That attack was vicious! I see a corridor we can enter through. Hold on!' Palutena retorted.
"How is having a giant space station part of nature?! Viridi needs to retake earth science!" Spidey quipped.
Palutena then flies the heroes away from the center and to a section on the Sanctum's wide, which is filled with Forces of Nature troops. "It's not much safer in here!" Weiss snarked.
'As I mentioned earlier, the Lunar Sanctum is very heavily fortified. But a victory here could help us contain all of Viridi's army.' Palutena proclaimed.
"We'll take care of it somehow!" Pit retorted.
Weiss whips out her rapier with an idea that'll help reduce enemy forces. She conjures several glyphs by her side and commands them to unleash an energy barrage in addition to the energy shots from her Sky-Cycle, bombarding the horde with a powerful crowd cleaner that succeeds in its purpose. "Good going, Weiss. Their defenses are thinning out." Sonic complimented the heiress's special attack.
"I'm still detecting enemies, though, so be careful." Spidey sensed.
Suddenly, a party of gelatinous green assassins appear all around to surprise as well as obscure the heroes' view so they may be struck by their long bladelike arms. 'Let me introduce you to the Flages, the covert-ops specialists for Viridi's army. Do they strike your fancy?' Arlon introduced them to the annoyed heroes.
"Uh, NO!" Sonic retorted whilst clashing with a single-celled organism that loves to blend into its surroundings for surprise attacks.
'Personally, I'm quite fond of them.' Arlon commented.
"Right, 'cause we care SO much." Pit retorted with such obvious sarcasm.
'Your concern is noted.'
"I WAS BEING SARCASTIC! I don't care at all!"
Though the Flages' invisibility is impressive, their camouflage is flawed by the presence of their shadows and the noises they emit. This weakness was first exploited by Sonic's animalistic ears reacting to the noise for a destructive counterattack on a Flage, quickly followed up by his friends destroying the remaining assassins. 'Oh, yes, I almost forgot.' Arlon said.
"Forgot what?" Lucina asked with annoyance, sensing she's not going to like what comes next.
'To close the gates!' Arlon answered, 'And the gates…go…shut.' He commands a series of walls to form in the heroes' path, forcing them to frantically break through them to proceed.
"Yikes! Cut it out!" Spidey retorted.
'Pit's power of flight is running out. We have to move!' Palutena announced to hurry them up.
"Movin'!" Sonic quipped, releasing a slipstream from his insane speed for his friends to ride while he worries about boosting through walls.
At long last, the Avengers were successful in infiltrating the Lunar Sanctum. 'There's an entry point through a duct up ahead. It's tight, so watch out!' spotted Palutena, sending the heroes in by crashing them through the duct, much to their groaning displeasure.

BGM-Kid Icarus: Uprising OST-At the Sanctum
Roughly landing inside from a skidding halt, the heroes deactivate their fliers to be swiftly amazed by the Lunar Sanctum's sleek and elegant interior, where everything is made out of gold as far as they could see. "Someone loves gold." Spider-Man commented.
"Talk about ritzy!" Pit complimented.
'It's like a whole other world. A classier world.' Palutena complimented.
"It's cleaner than the Death Egg at least." Sonic remarked.
'I'm deeply flattered by your gracious compliments.' Arlon responded gratefully to their compliments.
"Who knew the Lunar Sanctum would be so nice?" Lucina smiled as they begin exploring the temple's interior.
"The gold is a little much." Weiss criticized.
'I could get used to a place like this!' Palutena proclaimed.
'Perhaps you could. But the Lunar Sanctum doesn't have room for any…MORE guests.' Arlon sternly reminded them with subtle crypticness.
'Uh, it's not THAT nice.' Palutena took back her compliments.
"I don't care how nice this place is! It won't stop us from taking you down!" Pit declared energetically.
'I understand. You have no regard for other people's property.' Arlon remarked.
"Ain't fair for you to have a moon base and not us." Spidey quipped.
The Avengers then encounter several Forces of Nature Troops that they battle like normal. Most of them were taken down with ease except for a strange green Nutski that Lucina tries to kill but can't because her attacks just phase through it. "My attacks aren't working on this one!" Lucina announced to her allies.
"Are my eyes playing tricks on me?" Pit starts noticing that several enemies are also looking a digital green and can't be hurt.
"Holograms." Sonic realized that the holograms are presented amongst real enemies to throw them off.
'Arlon seems to have a penchant for visual trickery.' Palutena noted.
'It's just a little something I whipped up to whet your appetite.' Arlon explained.
"This is so annoying. Lady Palutena. Help me out here." Pit requested.
'Deploying the Palutena Super Sensor…' Palutena announced.
"I didn't know you had a super sensor!" Pit fell for her tricks again, a ploy that the Avengers easily saw through with rolled eyes from past experiences with the trickster goddess.
Palutena giggles, 'I don't. You know I like to make stuff up.' She admitted, much to her angel's surprise.
"Would you grow up already? This is not the time to mess with us!" Weiss scolded the goddess.
'Don't fret. You can use the green arrows to guide your way.' Palutena pointed out the arrows on the floors to her friends.
"Oh. That's nice." Spidey noticed.
'Now how did you manage to place those here?' Arlon wondered before realizing, 'Ooh, it seems you've infiltrated the Lunar Sanctum's control core, Palutena. That leaves me relatively defenseless. I'd best rectify that posthaste. If you'll excuse me, I must go gird my loins for your arrival.' He announced, much to everyone's disgust.
"TMI! Nobody wants to hear about your loins!" Pit retorted.
By following the green arrows, the dimensional defenders are taken to grind rails hovering over a massive chasm. They ride the rails at swift speeds toward their destination, fending off enemies as they do. Some enemies, like explosive Trynamites, are tactical by flying ahead of the team and dropping their flaming selves on the grind rails, frantically forcing the group to avoid their bombs until they start pulling back. Spidey notices his rail is coming to a short end and tries finding a way to save himself, urgently spotting a floating switch that he webs which extends his rail all the way to his destination with everyone else.
The rails led them to a room with a mirror, in which the expressive Sonic jokes about. "Mirror, tell me something. Tell me who's the loneliest of us all?" He teased with an obnoxious singing voice aimed solely to irritate the original Schnee singer.
"Shut up! I'm annoyed to sing about mirrors now when the last one cloned us!" Weiss retorted angrily at the mobian jokester.
"It HAS been sometime since we fought our dark doppelgangers. I wonder what they have been doing lately?" Lucina wondered, noticing they haven't confronted the Dark Avengers lately.
'Destroying the other two Reset Bomb Depots for starters.' Arlon answered while the heroes traverse through the trickery mirror room.
"Didn't know there were two more. We should thank them the next time we meet." Sonic quipped.
'That opportunity might come sooner than expected.' Arlon replied cryptically.

As they continue past invisible paths and hidden switches, the Avengers finally locates the Lunar Sanctum Control Center, one of the cores required to control the Lunar Sanctum. Destroying it would disable the sanctum's camouflage and other defenses. Arlon wants to avoid that possibility at all cost. But somewhat fortunately, he obtained assistance. Because upon the heroes arriving in a red room, they are quick to notice Dark Pit and the Dark Avengers, minus New Goblin, in front of the control center.
"Oh. You weren't kidding." Sonic reacted with shock at this sudden reunion with their dark counterparts.
BGM-Sonic Adventure 2 OST-Shut Up, Faker!
"Long time no see." Dark Sonic taunted his enemies.
"Pittoo!" Pit confronted his dark copy.
"Seriously, that is the last time I want to hear 'Pittoo!'?" Dark Pit retorted while striking a pose with his temporary dark allies.
"What about Pitiful?" Spidey quipped.
"RAAAAAAAGH!" Pittoo roared alongside a furious charge at the spider, initiating the epic rematch between the Dark Avengers and Dimensional Avengers. The Sonics bear down on each other, clashing viciously with neither able to get the upper hand in the grudge match until Sonic leaps back to Boost at Dark Sonic, who rebounds across the ceiling and into his double from behind to send him rocketing down the chamber. Weiss guards herself from her counterpart's swift slashes until she's able to knock her into the air, where Dark Weiss comes down as an icy tornado that plows through her good half at top speed. The Lucinas are locked in a teeth-gritting clash where they deflect the other's attacks in order to break their guard and create an opening. Lucina finds the opening first and delivers a dashing strike, which was instantly retaliated by the spinning Dark Lucina and her bow shot that wounds her rival.
"Why are you all doom and gloom all the time, Pittoo?" asked Pit, evading continuous bow shots from his dark rival.
"I think a better question is why are YOU so annoyingly cheerful?" snarked Dark Pit, jumping over charged shots from his light rival.
"I'm not annoying. I'm positive." Pit quipped, while the angels clash with dual blades.
"You gotta stay upbeat, upbeat, upbeat…" Spidey sang to distract and web Pittoo.
"Or you'll be dead meat, dead meat, dead meat…" Pit quipped before landing a strong attack on the restrained clone.
"Like I said. Annoying." Dark Pit snarled.
'Arlon, did you call Pittoo and the Dark Avengers here?' Palutena asked.
'Partially. The Dark Avengers arrived around the same time as your team with the similar objective of conquering the Lunar Sanctum. They caused quite a huge mess and I was nearly forced to deal with them personally until they ran into Dark Pit and convinced him for a temporary truce against their mutual foes.' Arlon explained.
'He's not usually one to follow orders. How did you persuade him to come here in the first place?' Palutena questioned.
'It was quite simple, actually. Just the mention of young master Pit's presence... ...was enough to send his twin running here.' Arlon revealed his persuasive skills.
'Pittoo just isn't happy unless he's fighting someone.' Palutena commented.
"You say that like it's a bad thing!" Pittoo snarked.
"You stay out of this!" Pit retorted before the angels continue their grudge match.
"Where's Harry?" Spidey asked Dark Weiss upon his furious punch being blocked by her glyph.
"Recovering from training. I would worry about my own life right now." retorted Dark Weiss, nearly surprising the webhead with eruptive sharp ice from beneath his feet.

Upon realizing they have reached another stalemate, the Dark Avengers regroup for a brief ominous moment to unveil a new tactic. "It is time you regret interfering with our plans!" Dark Weiss announced.
All three Dark Avengers then take out their own Dark Underworld Crystal that was given to them by Hades earlier. They harness their power, with Dark Sonic going the sadistic route by crushing his crystal and absorbing all of its demonic energy. From a frightening flex, dark purple mists erupt and then surround each clone alongside their bodies emitting afterimage-like distortions that amazes Dark Pit and startles the heroes with the tremendous power they are now releasing.
BGM-Mega Man ZX Ost-Rockin' On (Tunes Ver.)
'Oh dear.' Arlon reacts calmly to the Dark Avengers' terrifying powerup.
'Their power just skyrocketed! Watch out!' The horrified Palutena warned her team.
It was too late for the heroes to dodge. Only defend against the Dark Avengers' combined energy blast that packed the outrageous power to smash them all through the golden wall. "You guys gotten stronger." Dark Pit commented on their new power.
"Jealous? Should've sticked with us if you wanted this god power." Dark Sonic taunted the black-winged angel.
"No thanks. I have all the power I need." Pittoo retorted upon activating the power of flight using Pandora's god power.
As the injured heroes recover back on their feet, Dark Weiss mocks them about the new power they obtained, "This is ISO-8 infused with the combined power of Asgard and the Underworld. Our energy keeps expanding! Now we're completely invincible!" She claimed before continuing her chilling assault on them.
"Lemme guess? You did all this to even the playing field with our Dream Stone. Let's test how long that'll last!" Spidey snarked, tapping into the Dream Stone and empowering his team with the powers of Captain America.
"You think that will beat us? Your power next to ours is like an anthill next to a mountain!" Dark Lucina retorted.
Both Spider-Man and Dark Lucina charge at each other for another intense round of fighting, with shield and sword wielded respectively. Weiss lunges in at the final second before the clash to assist her friend against the evil swordswoman, who quickly notices Pit trying to ambush her with a leaping slash that she counters with a stalemated slash of her own. Pit then rolls away from destructive ice waves fired from Dark Weiss, prompting the angel and corrupted heiress to engage in a high-speed duel of blades that has no end in sight.
Meanwhile, Dark Pit is in the air raining down countless arrows that Sonic is fleeing from and leading him to be struck by a powerful energy blast from Dark Sonic. And Sonic would've been hit if Lucina didn't come to his defense at the last second. Hedgehog and princess smile gratefully at each other before making their stand against the two dark doubles combining powers to form a large energy sphere, which didn't reach full power thanks to a laughing Spider-Man throwing his shield through the sphere to erase it. Weiss and Dark Lucina continue dueling, bouncing around the control center at extreme speeds until the demon princess was successful in knocking her rapier away. Although, Pit was quick to retrieve her weapon, and after exchanging smiles, both heroes prepare to blast Dark Lucina lunged from Dark Weiss's glyph.
Nearby, Dark Sonic goes brutal with a spin-stomp to his counterpart's screaming back that smashes him through many floors of the Lunar Sanctum until they crash onto conveyor belts that they immediately run along so their brawl could be more private, and personal. "Here we are. All alone facing me with halfhearted speed. Gotta go fast if you EVER want to catch up with your better." Dark Sonic started taunting, speeding up and goading his enraged rival to catch up. "While you're struggling with me, your friends are being beat. Go be a hero and help them out. Or not. You have an ego." He continues taunting, and dodging Sonic's furious attacks that were easy to read, "We both share a brain. Tell me what to do with this place: Use its weapons to obliterate Skyworld and its lazy goddess, or just crash it onto mankind? Either or would be fun."
"There's nothing FUN about destruction!" Sonic infuriatedly retorted while launching a Spin Attack.
"Unless it's against Eggman's robots. Every other time you struggle with the nerve to cut loose." Dark Sonic snarked, sliding under the attack and causing Sonic to end up under a smashed structure. "I've got you figured out! I know why you hate me. I know…And it's not just because I'm better looking…" He then confronts his counterpart, saying, "It's that all it takes is one bad day, and you'd be just like me."

"No, that's not it, Dark." Sonic then trips him, countering with a smirk, "It's because all it would take is a bit of selflessness…a little bit of decency…and you'd be just like me."
Dark Sonic gasped. That claim rendered him so confused and speechless that all he could utter out is, "I…", as their fighting comes to a halt. That is until he is shocked to find himself webbed from above by Spider-Man.
"Hi. Can I borrow you for a sec?" Spidey quipped.
At fierce speeds, the Web Warrior pulls the dark hedgehog back into the control center and hurls him at Dark Pit and the other Dark Avengers. Just as Pit and Lucina prepare to finish them off with one of Captain America's favorite moves. "Hyper…CHARGING STAR!" Both heroes charge full speed at their enemies with their shields, barraging them with hits until they are smashed directly into the control center's core, obliterating it, which in turn weakens the Lunar Sanctum.
"The Control Center is destroyed!" Weiss announced victoriously, just as Sonic returns to the room.
"Now what, fools!" Pit taunted their defeated counterparts.
"Just wait till next time! You three are on your own!" Dark Pit retorted with frustration, leaving the Dark Avengers behind to fight alone another day.
"Retreat!" Dark Weiss ordered, equally frustrated with their humiliating defeat tonight as her team disappears from the Sanctum.
Elsewhere in the Lunar Sanctum…
Grimadoom appears from a white light caused by his Chaos Control and drops into a forbidden area that has its air filled to the brim with a mysterious atmosphere. He glances at his surroundings for any security he should be mindful of, as well as hated enemies that he followed to this location, "…That fake hedgehog was here. And I'm sensing the real Sonic and his team. They're on the move, but not towards here. What's so special about this place?"
Interested in learning more about the Lunar Sanctum himself, Grimadoom takes a step forward. The moment he did, however, he is hit with a strange vision that only displays a demonic creature resembling an arachnid. "Wha-…!?" He reacted with shock from what he just sensed thanks to his exceptional psionic abilities, "I sense something is here…A power greater than this world's gods. What could it be…?"
"The Chaos Kin."
BGM-Shadow the Hedgehog OST-To the World of the Memory
Swiftly, Grimadoom turns around to threaten the sudden and tall Arlon with an energy blast. "What are you talking about?" He asked with a threatening tone.
"A malevolent creature of unknown origin that thrives on disorder and disaster and has an appetite for souls. It was sealed in this Lunar Sanctum long ago by Mistress Viridi to prevent a dark prophecy from seeing the light." Arlon explained, calmly walking around despite still being threatened by the supreme hedgehog.
"What prophecy?" Grimadoom interrogated.
"The Prophecy of the Divine Shadow. 'When dream and nightmare collide, a conflict beyond the realms will culminate alongside the end of the gods. The sky will fall. The golden city will be sieged. And the realms shall be consumed by the shadow of the rising darkness'." Arlon informed him of the prophecy that fail to impress.
"And you claim this 'Chaos Kin' is the key to the prophecy?" Grimadoom then asked.
"One of them. It is said in legend to be the guardian of an ancient Stone born from Nightmare. If it were to devour a strong divine soul and is defeated in its own realm, the Stone would deem you worthy of its limitless power." Arlon claimed.
"An ancient stone…" Grimadoom muttered, believing it to be an Exo Stone. "Why would you tell me all of this?" He asked the Nature Commander.
"Simply to warn you that if the Chaos Kin were to be unleashed onto the world, it would bring about the apocalypse. I want to avoid that at all cost. Even the gods would fall. A lowly mortal such as yourself would stand no chance whatsoever." Arlon mockingly warned the hedgehog.
Feeling his pride insulted, Grimadoom fires his furious energy blast at Arlon, only for him to vanish before the attack could land without a trace. "The mouth on that guy…Couldn't even read his mind." He noticed, sensing there was something odd about that Arlon. "No matter. I'll prove to them all that none can surpass me." He scowled with quiet fury, and the reckless idea to unleash the apocalypse onto the world.

BGM-Sonic Adventure 2 OST-Unstable World (Crazy Gadget)
From Palutena's powerful sneeze is a meteor that nearly crashes onto the terrified dimensional heroes that were trying to be careful traversing through narrow walkways. "CHRIST! WHAT THE HELL, WOMAN!? Are you trying to get us smooshed?" Spider-Man angrily blamed the goddess.
'Huh? That wasn't my doing.' Palutena argued.
'Goodness. So sorry. I must have lost myself in the golden melody of her sneeze.' Arlon admitted his accident.
"That's why you should cover your sneezes." Pit joked.
'I would never! A strong sneeze is the sign of a strong spirit.' Palutena quipped.
"No, it means we're checking you into a hospital after this!" Spidey bickered.
'Fine! But you're covering the bill!' Palutena retorted.
Continuing their hunt for Arlon, the Avengers pressed forward and arrives on a lunar surface where they wreak havoc on everything that wants them dead. Sonic delivers a dashing hurricane kick that pushes back his enemies, backflipping off the body of one to crush many with one charged Spin Dash. Spider-Man uses his Holy Webbing to snatch a large horde, ensnaring them in a large ball that he spins then hurls far from the Lunar Sanctum. Weiss uses a summon glyph to conjure a horse-like Grimm, which is ridden by Lucina as she commands it to ram through monsters before she annihilates several more with an electrified energy slash.
With Pit, he just stands around being fascinated by the lunar surface he's standing on, "This is so cooool! It's like the surface of the moon!"
'Why was the Lunar Sanctum built anyway?' Palutena questioned its master.
'That information is highly confidential.' answered Arlon, which would be seen as suspicious if the heroes knew he revealed his secrets to Grimadoom earlier.
'That only makes me more curious.' Palutena remarked.
'Curious or not, I took an oath of silence, and I intend to honor it!' Arlon claimed.
'Now, now, no need to get all bent out of shape.' Palutena snarked.
"After all, your name IS 'Arlon the Serene'." Pit mocked.
'I'm well aware of my name! But back to the topic at hand.' Arlon retorted as he begins to explain things to the heroes as compensation, 'I cannot tell you the reasons WHY this sanctum was built. But I can say that it runs on my powers. Without me, it's just a husk, an empty shell, an orbiting house of cards.'
"Ooh, that sounds fancy." Sonic smiled.
'I don't think we're getting the whole story here…' Palutena suspected.
'You're in no position to demand explanations. I am beholden only to Mistress Viridi, and you six are thorns in her side.' Arlon proclaimed.
"You've made your allegiances quite clear." Lucina scowled stoically.
"Then enough talk! Let's get back to fighting!" Pit declared by shooting down monsters in his path to Arlon.
The Avengers proceed through the sanctum and heads back into its interior, where they take an elevator up to a higher floor. "So, this is an elevator?" Lucina asked unsurely, still not used to all this futuristic-looking technology.
"That seems to be the case." Sonic quipped.
Shortly after, the elevator leads them to a room with mines and the apple-looking Clobblers on top of a rotating platform. 'Don't just shoot wildly, Avengers. You do NOT want to get those Clobblers mad.' Palutena warned.
"What? They'll turn to Hulks?" Sonic quipped.
'Something more disgusting. Try luring each one into a mine.' Palutena advised.
"Good idea!" Pit complied, assisting in tricking Clobbers into killing themselves with mines.
'The Avengers are lucky to have such an excellent guide. Though we're on opposing sides, I must commend your work, Palutena.' Arlon complimented the goddess.
'Thanks. It's just part of my job. Besides, the Avengers are the ones doing all the heavy lifting. Which is especially impressive for ones so small.' Palutena teased her allies.
Fed up with her condescending attitude, Weiss attempts to retort, "I am THIS close to-!"
"Chill out!" Spidey cut her off to calm her down, "I can sense Arlon's quarters is directly ahead. We'll prank Lady Lights once we're done."
"We better, or else I'm venting my frustrations onto you." Weiss snarked, walking alongside the team into the next room where they proceed through the boss door.

Arlon's Quarters.
Upon arriving in his chamber, the Dimensional Avengers encounter Arlon, who is sitting in midair with a spotlight over him. "Arlon!" Pit confronted him on behalf of the team.
"Welcome. Please make yourself comfortable." Arlon politely greeted his guests while standing up. He then bows, "It is my great honor to represent Mistress Viridi and the Forces of Nature.", as his eye gleams a malicious red.
BGM-Kid Icarus: Uprising OST-Boss Fight 1
Their final fight begins and already Arlon boasts dominance by partially shrouding the battlefield in darkness. "I can't see!" Pit expressed, having trouble targeting his foe.
"Thank goodness for night vision." Spider-Man taps into the Other's power to see and spot Arlon preparing a vicious attack in the darkness, "Can see Arlon trying to kill us from the right!" He announced, prompting everyone to swiftly dodge the energy blasts.
Recognizing Spider-Man as a threat even in the dark, Arlon focuses his deadly firepower on him first. The serene butler flies around the dark room and fires at the insect with a plethora of projectiles that were all dodged by his exceptional acrobatic reflexes. Amidst dodging one blast in midair, the brutal Spider web slams him to the ground and tries following up with a Web Strike Punch that was swiftly countered by the commander lasering him into brief unconsciousness.
"Spider-Man! Are you still there?" Lucina shouted, still blinded by the darkness like the others.
"He can no longer see or hear any of us. Much to my advantage." retorted Arlon, ambushing the other heroes with powerful attacks and avoiding their retaliatory strikes with ease thanks to the shadows.
'Focus, Avengers. Pay attention to where Arlon's attacks are coming from. After he attacks, shoot in that direction.' Palutena guided them.
Embracing her advice, Pit focuses on his enemy's attacks. Not just to better dodge them, but to find that perfect opening to counterattack with a bow shot powerful enough to illuminate the darkness with light upon landing a successful attack on Arlon. "I say!" Arlon reacted with impressed shock.
"Get 'im!" Pit commanded his friends to rush him with everything they got.
Lucina lands a dashing slash that Arlon tries retaliating against, only for the blitzing Sonic to intercept and allow Lucina to barrage him with more fearsome strikes that ends with the hedgehog kicking the butler into being smacked across the room by Weiss's large ice sword. And before Arlon gets back up, he is webbed down by a recovered Spider-Man. "Good! Just like that!" He commends his team, regrouping with them just in time for Arlon to liberate himself for the next intense round.

Meanwhile…
Grimadoom found the Chaos Kin's prison and tries blasting it out of its cage, only to realize his strongest attacks aren't making a dent, much to his annoyance. "Like this cage was made from Adamantium, reinforced by the strongest magic. They really don't want this Chaos Kin thing running loose." He calmly ponders on a new strategy to free the creature, "The only way to disable the lock is by destroying the power source that runs this base. I can sense the Avengers are doing that as I speak." He then smirks mischievously, "Might as well have a little fun helping them out.", as his eyes glow a telepathic red.
Back with the fight…
BGM-Super Dragon Ball Heroes OST-Assault
Sonic is being relentless in his attacks so as to give Arlon little time to unleash his attacks. The energy barrages he was able to fire are seamlessly weaved through with his superspeed. Fortunately, Arlon found a tiny opening to push back and surround Sonic with a swarm of small energy blasts. While the serene commander charges up a massive laser beam, the hedgehog does the same for a Light Speed Attack. At the last second, Sonic dodges his beam to appear right in front of the shocked Arlon, synchronizing with EZ Cannon-wielding Pit from the opposite side to unleash a powerful combo attack at point blank range.
"Very impressive, young master Avengers." The wounded Arlon complimented their power, "But it's time to reveal the true extent of my power!"
Arlon unleashes his full power by shrouding the entire battlefield in darkness. "Huddle up! Back-to-back!" Spidey ordered his team to form a circle and keep a careful lookout for any of the commander's tricks.
Learning from his mistakes, the cunning commander encircles the heroes in the shadows at greatest speeds that cannot be tracked no matter how hard they try. He does this to mess with their senses, confuse them, and without throwing a tiny blast that would alert them to his blurry presence. He did all of that just to maximize his power for one killing beam that will not be seen until it is too late.
"So long." Arlon muttered.
However, just a mere second before he could unleash his attack, Arlon feels his mind suddenly overloading with volatility unstable psionic energy from an unknown source that causes him agonizing pain. "GAUGH! My neural network…It's overloading…What is this overwhelming sinister aura…!" He exclaimed, with none able to see the demonic projection that is Grimadoom laughing and looming over the tortured commander.
Because of Grimadoom's unknowing intervention, the dark room is brightened and the heroes can clearly see Arlon in excruciating agony but ignore it for the chance to defeat him. "Bad time to get a headache!" Spidey webs the commander down with all his spider-might, swiftly before combining powers with his friends to deliver the finishing blow.
"Blast!" exclaimed Arlon, just before being knocked out cold by their devastating power.

"Whew! I can finally catch my breath!" Pit commented, feeling more exhausted than victorious this time.
This isn't the moment to relax. Not with the Lunar Sanctum already falling apart around them because of Arlon's defeat. "Do that later! We're outta here!" Spidey quipped at the angel.
Immediately after, the Avengers reactivated their fliers and fly away from the crumbling sanctum. "Lunar Sanctum defused!" Sonic celebrated.
'But what's that…THING breaking free?' A concerned Palutena spotted a mysterious creature bursting out from the sanctum's side, which quickly flies past the heroes and out of sight.
"Oh, I'm sure it's nothing." Pit passed it off.
"I dunno, kid…Get the feeling we just made a huge mistake." Spidey sensed grimly.
'But Viridi's forces are still a threat, so let's keep the heat on them.' Palutena declared while extracting them from the sky.
BGM-Tekken 4 OST-Kazuya Ending
Unbeknownst to all, Grimadoom was spying on the heroes from afar, with arms crossed and an ominous smile that is glad to boast his secret plan worked. "It is just like gods to be arrogant and brush off what they perceive as pests. This…is going to be most interesting. All I need to do is wait, then everything will be mine! HUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA…!" He expressed his maniacal laughter with such scary evil that it echoes throughout space.

KFX Here: Everything is going according to plan, for the Masters of Evil. And Dark Sonic is starting to experience a change that might make things worse in the near future. Let's wait and see as the Viridi Arc is coming to a close.

Guest (Chapter 15): I'm certain New Goblin was never part of the original story. Just because this is a remake doesn't mean I'll make huge changes. Just the necessities to make this story more cohesive with the rest of the series, and better explained.
