Pit: I'm Pit, servant of the goddess Palutena! We finished off the Aurum once and for all, which was NOT easy. Pyrrhon betrayed us for their power, only for their power to control him. Even after we beat them, Grimadoom nearly destroyed the planet himself. Gotta thank Sonic for saving our butts. And Peter for believing in me. We stopped a multiversal invasion together! Doubt there's anything else that we can't handle!

Issue 19: Doom Beyond God

Houston, Texas. United States. (Earth Prime)

This is Houston. The most populous city in Texas. One of the hottest cities in the country. Literally. Especially during the summer. The weather is as bad as the climate in Vietnam. One should not swing around in a costume with this kind of humidity. But someone must, as a crime is in progress caused by thugs that just robbed a bank.

"We gotta get outta here! Fast!" said a Thug, retreating to his getaway helicopter on the rooftop alongside his gang.

"We'll be able to buy lots of explosives with this dough!" Another Thug retorted, running with his bag of stolen money.

"You shouldn't count your explosives 'til they go off!" The First Thug quipped, sharing a bro-fist with this fellow thug.

BGM-Tekken 3 OST-Jin Kazama

The police will arrive too late to stop these robbers from escaping with the money. Lucky for Houston, it has its very own superhero that made a reluctant vow to protect this city from evil. His costume's red and black. He has great power and little responsibility sense. And he is already web-swinging himself to the rooftop to greet his enemies with a death glare.

"Spider-Man!" A terrified Thug exclaimed, mistaking this wallcrawler for New York's Webslinger.

"Go grab Vanny! We'll take care of this jerk!" ordered Another Thug, with the helicopter leaving behind the crooks that are about to make the biggest mistake of their lives by confronting this darker Spider-Man.

"When will you punks learn? I'm NOT Spider-Man." He clarifies by striking a threateningly sinister pose that expresses, "I'm far worse.", that he is Kaine Parker. The Ferocious Scarlet Spider. The Ultimate Spider-Clone that was once evil and is now the Hero of Houston.

Darker. Stronger. Faster. More dangerous than Spider-Man could ever be. With just a single dashing punch, Scarlet Spider nearly smashes a crook off the rooftop and saves his life with a webline only to slam him violently onto more goons. One thug fails to ambush the anti-hero from behind and receives a spine-crushing web-stomp as consequences. Though he lacks a Spider-Sense, Kaine can smell the fear radiating from the gunman that can't land a bullet on the arachnid that has the terrifying reflexes to dodge dozens of bullets with ease and the frightening webs to both disarm and smack his gun across his head. And from unsheathing his own wrist stingers, the unstoppable doppelganger deals the finishing spinning blow to the remaining crooks before they had the chance to blink with fright.

"Volt and Vanny! We gotta get outta here!" said the Helicopter Pilot, picking up his two thieving leaders for their retreat just as Kaine finished brutalizing their goons.

Refusing to let those crooks escape with the money, Kaine touches his earpiece to angrily call for some assistance, "Stop taking a nap, Tiki! They're getting away!"

"I see them!" Nearby, a large silverish dragon with green wings is soaring through the skies in hot pursuit of the helicopter. Her name is Tiki. The Voice of the Divine Dragon. The Dragon Scion that is both Kaine's lover and partner-in-crime who likes bickering with him, "And I keep telling you, I would prefer to be called the 'Jade Dragon' when I'm out superheroing!"

Calm. Intelligent. Thoughtful. And though she has a habit of acting like a child every so often, not during this high-speed chase. Rockets fired from the helicopter are quickly shot down by Jade Dragon's fireballs before she spews out one powerful attack that shoots down the entire vehicle. The helicopter crashes onto the streets below, though the pilot and the theft leaders were able to jump to a rooftop for safety, at least until Tiki lands before them.

Seamlessly with her divine power, The Voice is transforming from a dragon into her human form dressed as a superhero resembling Jean Grey's old identity as Marvel Girl. She wears a beautiful pink minidress with golden accents and a leather belt, along with red gloves and boots with a winged red eye mask, which is all completed by her Divine Dragonstone necklace, the source of her holy power.

"You're gonna pay for messin' up our ride, dragon girl!" snarled a Theft Leader, rushing to punch the divine dragon that is way out of his league.

"Shooting rockets is not how you treat a lady!" quipped Tiki, countering his punch with a swift palm strike that knocks him out cold with incredible ease. The other Theft Leader tries shooting at her, which only prompted the demigod to sprout dragon wings from her back so she may easily fly away from his bullets and retaliate with the knockout fireball. Both leaders are defeated, leaving just their pilot slowly backing away in terror until he accidently bumps into and is promptly punched into unconsciousness by Scarlet Spider.

"Just HAD to leave me with their goons." Scarlet sassed dryly at his dragon partner.

"Sorry. I'll leave a leader for you to play with next time." Tiki giggled with a warm smile, "Did you recover the money?"

"Yup." Kaine shows her the money bags he recovered from the unconscious crooks.

"You plan on not stealing the money?" Tiki joked.

"That was ONE time! I'm not a crook anymore! I'm a crime…fighter. That was hard to say." Kaine retorted, with some hesitation that implies that he's not used to his new superhero career yet.

"You'll get used to it. You can always rely on me as your guide through heroism." smiled Tiki, with the superpowered couple holding each other romantically.

"Why's that?" Kaine snarked.

"Well I do have 3000 years of experience saving the world." Tiki teased.

"Most of that time spent sleeping like a log."

"At least I was awake to yell at you for arriving 10 minutes late to a crime scene yesterday!"

"That early morning western omelet was delicious! Couldn't let it go cold!"

"That is why this world has microwaves. They are wonderful. Try them out."

After settling their usual snarky bickering, it was time for them to leave the crime scene. Just after Scarlet Spider webs all the crooks together for the police and Jade Dragon calls in a friend in the police force to come and arrest them. "I called Wally. He will be coming shortly to arrest these thugs and return the money. We are free to return to our journey to the beach." Tiki said while putting away her cellphone.

"Finally. Let's hurry up before something just as annoying interrupts us." Kaine snarked before webswinging away, impatiently leaving behind his flabbergasted girlfriend.

"Ah, hey, Scar-Scar! WAIT FOR MEEEEEE!" Tiki yelled, sprouting her wings again and flying fast to catch up with her boyfriend through the city so they may continue spending their summer vacation in peace. Blissfully unaware of a rising shadow that will soon threaten their entire dimension.

BGM-Dragon Ball Xenoverse OST- Cutscene: "Alternate Age"

Mere hours have passed since the Aurum Invasion was repelled thanks to the ultimate alliance between heroes and gods. With the dimension safe, the Goddess Avengers Alliance have returned to Skyworld for their greatest reward: Sleep. Sonic and Spider-Man most definitely earned this as they transcended their limits in order to save the planet. They're snoring so exhaustedly in their room that they don't sense a mysterious presence invading it for an equally-mysterious purpose. Whatever the purpose is, it involves them using a familiar spacetime power that transports the two sleeping heroes to an unknown location. That same power is then used on Weiss and Lucina, both sleeping in their own room that they were swiftly taken away from. The first phase of their shadowy plan seems complete, as evident by the presence's eyes and demonic grin glowing in the shadows. Now onto the second phase.

"Your Avengers went far and beyond to save my world from the Aurum. You have my deepest thanks." smiled Palutena, having a holographic meeting with Nick Fury in her war room.

"You're welcome. Us humans can do anything when push comes to shove." Fury replied.

"I've grown to admire that tenacity." Palutena quipped.

"But enough about the kids. We need to have an urgent talk about Loki and this prophecy you talked about." Fury retorted, switching to a more serious topic that needs discussing.

"The Divine Shadow." Palutena said grimly, "It is believed to be Hades that will consume our two universes in darkness. Loki wishes to take advantage of the prophecy in order to conquer Asgard and obtain all eight Exo Stones."

"We need to figure out what the rest of the prophecy is referring to if we want to stop them. The 'Sky' and 'Golden City' that was mentioned…Obviously they're referring to Skyworld and Asgard and how their destruction will lead to armageddon. But the collision between 'Dream' and 'Nightmare'…That's the spark we need to prevent." Fury stated with an idea to stop the prophecy,

"Way ahead of you. The 'Dream' is safe with me." quipped Palutena, briefly summoning the Dream Stone to her hand.

"The Dream Stone definitely plays a key role in all of this. If 'Dream' was referring to an Exo Stone, then it's a high possibility that 'Nightmare' is talking about another yet to be discovered." Fury deduced.

"The Nightmare Stone…" Palutena named this undiscovered 6th Exo Stone, "As opposite to dreams as darkness is to light. To think Exo Stones could come in pairs."

"And if the Nightmare Stone is capable of granting wishes as its sister, then we absolutely cannot let it fall into the hands of the Underworld Army. Two Exo Stones that haven't adapted to each other tend to destabilize the universe to the brink of destruction. THAT'S the trigger for the Divine Shadow to make his move." Fury proclaimed.

"That just leaves one question: Where is the Nightmare Stone? Loki stole the only clues to its location from Omnipotence City." Palutena wondered.

"We'll just have to investigate on both ends. I'll try and get in contact with Thor. Get his help against this crisis." Fury informed her.

"Understood. Tell him I said hi." Palutena nodded with a smile, sensing a reunion with her thunderous childhood friend.

"Fine." Fury responded sternly.

BGM-Mega Man ZX OST-Awake (Tunes Ver.)

Just as the SHIELD Director ends the holo-call, Pit enters the goddess's room for his own chat with her. "Who were you talking to?" He asked, surprising his god with his sudden appearance.

"Oh, Pit! I just had a meeting with Nick Fury. What are you doing here? Thought you went to bed like the others." Palutena remarked.

"I will. Just had to grab a bite and come check on you." Pit replied.

Sincerely at the angel, Palutena smiles, "That's very thoughtful of you. I'm fine, seriously. I have you to thank for that. You have grown so much since you saved me from Medusa all those years ago." She then reminisces of a young Pit's first adventure against darkness, "If it weren't for your courage, Skyworld would've been destroyed a long time ago. You certainly have gone above and beyond the call of duty for me. I thank you, Pit, from the bottom of my heart."

"Don't mention it, Lady Palutena. You can always count on me to cause an uprising to help you and the world." Pit smiled wholeheartedly.

"So, Pit…Is this job…rough for you?" Palutena asked.

"Huh?" Pit reacted with confusion at her question.

"I've been relying on you for so long that I…take you for granted sometimes. Purposely put you in harm's way that would've gotten you killed. Centurions don't help much during missions, if at all, and the Avengers won't be here forever. I may be the Goddess of Light, but even I'm not perfect. So please, don't be afraid to criticize and I'll seek to improve." Palutena frowned, beginning to admit her faults and learning humility.

"Lady Palutena…" Pit muttered, seeing it in her face that she is serious about wanting to improve herself and gives her his recommendations, "Well, don't surprise me with Monster Pheromones next time. And, I dunno, fight by my side every now and then. On the field. That way EVERYONE can see how awesome you are!"

"I HAVE been considering that." Palutena smiled, both admittedly and adorably.

Alas, their heartfelt conversation must meet its end in the most disastrous way. A scoffing, sinister smile is heard by no one as a familiar Asgardian Goddess is unseen shattering the ceilings of Palutena's Temple with a large energy blast targeting the Skyworld heroes. Both Pit and Palutena look at the blast in horror before the latter rushes to hug the angel for his protection, using her own body to shield them from the devastating explosion that rocks all of Skyworld.

BGM-Tekken 5 OST- Destined Interlude ~ Sinister

Palutena's temple is in ruin. Her statue is left in shambles. The goddess herself, however, still lives. Wounded, but alive alongside Pit as they emerge from the rubble. "You alright?" Palutena asked while helping him up.

"Yeah, but what was…" Pit nodded weakly.

And as soon as he gets up, Pit is knocked back down into unconsciousness by a surprise fireball to his back. "Pit! Pit!" Palutena shakes his motionless body in frantic distress before shooting a death glare at the monster that was foolish enough to hurt a goddess's best friend, "You…!"

"It is about time we meet face-to-face, Goddess of Light." said Super-Skrull, tauntingly revealing himself as Pit's alien assailant sporting a malicious smile. And he's not alone as Grimadoom the Hedgehog and The Enchantress swiftly join his side as the Masters of Evil that have invaded Skyworld.

"The Masters of Evil…And Grimadoom? But that's impossible! You were blasted into the sun for Pete's sake!" exclaimed Palutena, horrifically flabbergasted by the hedgehog's survival.

"I'm more immortal than you gods could ever be." Grimadoom snarked smirkingly.

"What do you want?" Palutena sternly asked the dimensional invaders.

"Dumb as usual." Enchantress mocked her old rival, "Revenge upon the dimension that was foolish to oppose us. We may have lost the Aurum, but we still possess enough power to reduce this realm to ashes." She then tauntingly kicks the unconscious Pit, "Don't expect your little angel to wake up anytime soon, nor the mortal nuisances to come to your aid."

"What have you done with them?!" Palutena snapped angrily, demanding to know what has become of her Avenger friends.

"Me? I've done nothing at all. It was Grimadoom that teleported them to a pocket dimension I created to dumb trash in. Even if they find a way to free themselves, it will be too late. Your life and the Dream Stone will be ours!" Enchantress answered mockingly.

"Don't expect me to go down without a fight." Palutena scowled.

"When was the last time you've BEEN in a fight? You sit above the clouds ordering your lackeys to do all your dirty work! You lack the spirit of a true warrior!" Super-Skrull mocked.

"I possess the spirit of a god that will teach you some manners!" Palutena threatened.

"I have been curious about something for a while now…You have a connection with the God of Thunder Thor. Why is that?" Grimadoom asked an ominous question that his mixed blood has been bothering him with ever since he first learned about the Goddess of Light.

"Thor is my friend. Has been since childhood." Palutena answered solemnly.

"I see. This might explain why his blood within me longs for this meeting. Screaming at me…" Grimadoom then strikes a terrifying flex that burst his dark aura out into the open, "TO DESTROY YOU! And to put a permanent end to this friendship between divine realms!"

"An abomination created from the blood of mortals and gods. I will deal with your evil once and for all!" Palutena declared determinedly.

"You honestly think you can fight me? Let alone defeat all three of us?" taunted Grimadoom, with his fellow Masters of Evil readying themselves for a battle to the death with the All-Mighty Goddess of Light.

BGM-Final Fantasy 9 OST-Dark Messenger (Remake by Youtuber Enrico Deiana)

It has been a long time since Palutena found herself in serious combat. Ever since Medusa betrayed her. Her training with the Dimensional Avengers never prepared her for this surprise where she must fight against some of the worst supervillains in the entire multiverse. Regardless, she stands stern and confident and ready to repel the invaders upon summoning her golden staff to wield, equipping her left arm with a blue mirror shield, and conjuring her divine winged halo behind her back. She is the Goddess of Light that has sworn to protect mankind and Skyworld from all evil. And with her full power, she is ready to do just that with extreme prejudice.

The long and suspenseful battle begins with Grimadoom and Super-Skrull dashing at the goddess with malicious intent, only to be quickly blinded by her explosive light as she flies to the skies above. The Enchantress is quick to meet her up there firing several mystic bolts that prompts Palutena to shout, "Reflect Barrier!", and summon a red barrier to reflect her illuminating blasts and wound the Asgardian. Through the light is Grimadoom hurling a punch that is blocked by her mirror shield, which doesn't shield her back from Super-Skrull's rocky strike that stuns her for the hedgehog to slam through floating islands with a swift double axe handle. Palutena quickly recovers, shouting, "Warp!", to flee from the triple villains' followup attack, gaining the distance to then shout, "Mega Laser!", and fire a massive energy beam that counters their combined energy blast. It's a sky-shaking clash between light and darkness with both sides struggling for dominance, until Palutena finds the strength within to overpower and blast them across the island. While all three are down, she is quick to exclaim, "Heavenly Light!", so she may shine upon them burning rays of light that the smirking Grimadoom is ready to counter.

"Chaos Control!" shouted Grimadoom, freezing time long enough for Super-Skrull to cancel her attack with a devastating punch to the cheek that knocks her across Skyworld.

Both villains are quick to give chase and quick to be dispatched by the light goddess, with one of her energy blasts managing to knock down the hedgehog and her, "Interference!", power sealing the alien's fantastic powers for the time being, much to his surprise.

"You shut off my power!" Super-Skrull exclaimed with shock and fury, distracting him for Palutena to ensnare him with telekinesis and brutally slam the powerless outworlder through a large island.

One Master down, two more to go. As Palutena takes a breather, her chest is surprisingly stabbed by an arrow fired by an awakened Pit. "P-Pit…" She stuttered. Except her Pit has become enthralled by Enchantress, using her seductive magic to transform him into her mind-controlled puppet.

"He prefers me now." Amora grinned evilly. "Go on and make me proud, my adoring angel. Kill the Goddess of Light." She further corrupts Pit with a single kiss to the cheek, granting him the power of flight and watching him take flight against Palutena.

The Light Goddess is hesitant to attack her best friend, preferring to fly away from his relentless arrow barrages at incredible speed until she gets the brilliant idea to use this predicament to her advantage by making a beeline for the mind controller with her puppet still hot on her tail.

"Trying to trick him into harming me? How predictable!" Enchantress mocked before firing an energy blast at Palutena.

"Super Speed!" shouted Palutena, increasing her speed to such breathtaking levels that she leaves behind an afterimage that lasts long enough to be pierced by Amora's attack, right before the corrupted Pit fires powerful bow shots that fly through the faker and instead accidently harm his Asgardian master. Before Pit could do anything else, he is smacked back into unconsciousness by Palutena from behind. "I'm sorry I had to do that to you, Pit." She frowned sadly, which then angrily turns into a scowl targeting Amora, "But I won't be sorry harming you, Amora! Meteor Shower!" She exclaimed, bombarding her rival with a deluge of shooting stars that incapacitate her for a while.

Another Master is down, causing Palutena to think, 'Now all that remain is-.'

"ME!" The mind-reading Grimadoom then makes his sudden reappearance, conjuring his Dark Crescent Rose to clash intensely with the goddess's staff.

The Supreme Lifeform and Light Goddess go head-to-head across the skies of Skyworld, with neither combatant gaining the edge no matter how much they amp up their ferocious blows. Grima keeps smiling while Palutena keeps grimacing, until they reach a brief stalemate where their weapons are locked onto the other. "You're still weak from fighting Sonic! I'll finish what he started!" Palutena said, sensing that Grimadoom hasn't recovered his full strength yet.

"Silence, worm!" retorted Grimadoom, kicking her so hard in the chest that she's sent flying onto the wall of a giant building. He piles on the pressure, continuously slashing at her guard until the entire structure collapses and she escapes through the dust. "Curse that toy of yours!" He scowled before giving chase.

Swiftly, Palutena fires an energy sphere that he evades until he realizes too late that it expanded into a large black hole that entraps his desperate hide. "The real danger is my Black Hole Laser!" She then powers up for an all-illuminating, supercharged Mega Laser that worries the hedgehog just a bit. "HAAAAAAAAAAH!" She screams with all her fury and fires her massive laser beam with all her might, solely targeting Grimadoom as he does nothing but be utterly consumed by her divine wrath. Her ultimate attack causes a massively gorgeous explosion of light that shakes the very heavens she lives in, as well as leave her totally exhausted. But it was worth it. The Goddess of Light has saved Skyworld.

Palutena is wiped out, collapsing onto floating earth depleted of almost all her energy. It makes sense, of course, as she was up against some of the strongest supervillains that have destroyed whole dimensions. But with the Masters of Evil defeated, she is free to rest and reunite with her friends. Or so she thought when she heard, "Whoops. Psych!", followed by taunting laughter from within the massive smokescreen that utterly horrifies the goddess to no end.

BGM-Super Dragon Ball Heroes OST- Despair Approaching

Walking out of the smoke like nothing happened is Grimadoom, covered in severe wounds that doesn't stop him from smiling tauntingly at his immortal foe. "The force of that attack wasn't half bad. I suppose you make for a decent goddess after all. One that wasted all her energy fighting a losing battle." He mocked.

"We were toying with you from the start!" shouted Super-Skrull, reemerging with his restored powers, "Though you did surprise us on several occasions, in the end, we countered every single one of your pointless tactics."

Things get even gloomier for Palutena as a dark rainy thunderstorm is casted above Skyworld and strikes her down with a powerful thunderbolt. "My magic ALONE was always your superior! You never held a chance against our combined power!" taunted Enchantress, reappearing as the one responsible for the thunderstorm.

Palutena grunts through the immense pain, struggling to sit on a knee. She is weak, powerless, and alone. She has fallen for the Masters' trap and is about to pay the price for her arrogance. Both Super-Skrull and Grimadoom rise into the air to prepare their finishing combo attack, combining the powers of fire and darkness for a devastating energy swarm they will unleash the instant Grim finish taunting her one last time with a malicious smile, "Light, darkness, what's the difference? Gods are vain and vengeful creatures and arrogant to a fault. Always have been. The mortals who've worshipped you for centuries would all be better off without you. You gods do not deserve love. No matter how much you fight to fool yourselves. You are all UNWORTHY!"

Upon that belief, the twin Masters fire their ultimate attack down at the goddess that is too powerless to do anything but stare at absolute despair. Palutena is consumed by their explosive power and screams in total agony, "AAAAAAAAGGGHH!" There is, however, one power she has left that can save her life. The Dream Stone. As her consciousness begins to fade, she connects to its cosmic energies for a last wish. One imbued with all her hopes for a brighter tomorrow. 'Dream Stone…I wish for you to…find my friends…Save them…' She wished just as their darkness finally overwhelms her light.

Skyworld has fallen as prophesized. Its Goddess of Light lies defeated below the rain that is showering her unconscious being. The Masters of Evil loom before her motionless body with Super-Skrull confirming her defeat with the simple words of, "She is beaten."

"About time." Grimadoom snarked before collapsing onto an exhausted knee, panting, "Just like gods to be stubborn to the end…"

"She really did a number on you with that Black Hole Laser." Enchantress teased the weakened hedgehog.

The annoyed Grimadoom scoffs, "Sonic did more to my body than I thought, but it hardly mattered in this fight. This was a battle of wills…and mine triumphed over her weak spirit."

"Whatever. Let's do what we came here for and retrieve the Dream Stone." Enchantress responded indifferently.

"It's pointless. It's gone." Grimadoom revealed calmly, much to his allies' surprise.

"What?! When did that happen?!" Amora retorted.

"In the moment of her defeat. I sensed it. She made a wish that sent it away through what felt like a time distortion. To a point in the near future. Probably weren't her exact intentions." Grimadoom elaborated.

"That's just wonderful." Super-Skrull grunted sarcastically, furious at Palutena for delaying their plans even in defeat.

"A minor setback. We easily have the power to travel through time. The Dream Stone will be ours for the taking." Grimadoom assured him.

BGM-Spider-Man 3 (Game) OST-Black Tension

Ominously, Enchantress smiles at her fallen rival goddess, "Skyworld has fallen, as said in the prophecy. Dream and Nightmare will soon collide, once our pet has its fun by the time we reunite in the future.", which signals their secret weapon to make its appearance from the foulest of shadows.

Palutena can sense it. She can just feel a chaotic bestial presence crawling on her skin, infusing its despicable darkness with her light that is dimming by the second. "No…Can't…let them get away…Pit…Prophecy… Darkness…Nightmare…" As her light is being shadowed, her head keeps turns and her mouth mumbles out disturbing words thanks to a nightmare she's now suffering. A nightmare caused by the new link to this unfamiliar darkness. "No…" She experiences the nightmarish vision featuring a mysterious black cosmic stone. "No!" She then witnesses another terrifying vision of Loki and Hades completing their conquest of the two universes. And just as she opens her eyes, she finds the absolutely horrific Chaos Kin feasting on her body, causing her to scream, "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGHHH…!", just as the light in her soul is forever replaced by darkness. At least for three whole years.

KFX Here: This marks the beginning of the Chaos Kin Arc, alongside a brand-new subplot featuring the return of Scarlet Spider and Tiki. Their involvement was teased all the way back in the Medusa Arc, during the Dimensional Avengers vs. Dark Avengers chapter. They'll have their own reasons for getting involved with gods. Just wait and find out.
