Cobra Kai is a series not a book so it doesn't really explain the feelings of the characters throughout the story. So here I have Miguel's feelings and thoughts throughout the show. If you like it I can do Robby's,Sam's,Tory's,Hawk's... the character you request. For now I'll do Miguel's since he's my favorite character. I'll do chapters of each season so enjoy!

Season 1

Miguel was a loser. He was sure of that. He was bullied, called many things and even though he tried to be friendly he never made any friends. So he hoped that moving to an apartment would help him meet new people in the block. He didn't know who was about to walk into his life.

While trying to meet new people around the block, Miguel found some old guy, maybe in his fifties or something that started explaining to him how shitty everything was and how he didn't want to talk to anyone so Miguel decided to back off. He didn't pay much attention to the encounter until when he went to the shop to buy medications for his granny when some bullies started to give him a hard time. And the same guy was there and he stood up for him. I mean it was mainly to protect his car but Miguel focused on the first fact. Then this guy started busting out some karate moves Bruce Lee style and beat up his assailants. Unfortunately the police came and took him away but Miguel couldn't stop thinking about it.

Finally the guy came back and Miguel talked to him and asked him to teach him but the guy wouldn't budge and basically flipped him off. But later on the guy came back and took Miguel's offer with some miraculous change of heart. This guy was going to be his teacher... No, his sensei.

Cobra Kai was the name of the dojo his sensei opened. It was pretty badass and Miguel couldn't wait to learn karate but his teacher made him do some chores first. He tried to find some deep meaning and how the chores were gonna help him with karate but he couldn't find any. But sensei Lawrence (Johnny Lawrence was his name) taught him some karate and from then on Miguel was hooked. It was all Miguel could think about. He dedicated himself to Cobra Kai, creating a web for people to look at and when he showed his sensei, a sense of satisfaction washed over him when his sensei told him he was ready for kicking. And with some intense training and a pissed off night janitor, Miguel learned how to kick.

He went to the Halloween dance with his sensei's costume, a cool skeleton. He was going to use his sensei's teachings (strike first, strike hard, no mercy) and use them to get a date to dance with but the last thing he expected was that the bullies from before would beat him up in the locker room. He tried to use karate, but the only thing he did was just land one kick to Kyler, the leader of the group. After that they just grabbed him and started hitting him. The rest was a blur, his sensei carrying him home after finding him in the locker, his mom shouting at his sensei and the last pleading words he said to his sensei and his mom before he lost consciousness.

The following days consisted of the same cycle: Miguel trying to convince his mom to go back to karate, going to school and then his mom making some unexpected plans to do something in order to prevent Miguel from sneaking out to do karate. Miguel even tried to talk to his sensei but he blew him off. Miguel felt a bit betrayed. He hadn't given up on him and now he was giving up on Miguel? That's it?. Then one day, his mom decided that she would let him do karate. Miguel wasn't stupid, he knew his sensei had somehow convinced his mom, and he felt grateful, because that meant he hadn't given up on Miguel either.

Miguel realized something when a new student came in. Her name was Aisha, and she was being cyber bullied because she was fat. She was the first kid that would pay for classes, apart from Miguel. And as he got to know her he realized that he wasn't alone. There were more people like him. I mean sure he had two friends at school that were bullied by Kyler too, but it was just that Miguel didn't notice anyone else being bullied. No one deserved to be bullied. So the next day when Kyler was humiliating a popular girl whose name Miguel thought was Sam, he knew what he had to do. He stood up for her. He insulted Kyler back and a fight broke out between Miguel and the bullies. Everything fell into place, like puzzle pieces. He dodged, he kicked and even picked up a tray as a weapon and hit Kyler with it. And it felt amazing. And even as he was carried by the principal to her office he was proud of himself. And he'll never forget the look of gratefulness the girl Sam had on her face.

After the beat down, Cobra Kai had more students than ever and things were great, but I think sensei may have crossed some boundaries. He humiliated and called names to nearly all the newbies. And honestly, Miguel was a bit mad at how he treated them. He didn't know what it was like to be a loser. He had no right to treat them like that. And as soon as he spoke his mind to his sensei the sooner he got an answer. The next class he didn't apologize but he acknowledged the fact that he had been hard on them. Miguel appreciated his sensei even more after that.

Miguel was on cloud nine. After the fight with Kyler, he and Sam started talking at school and on instagram. They were friends, Miguel guessed. She was funny, smart and yes, how his sensei says, she was hot. Super hot. Miguel really wanted to ask her out but he didn't know how. So he asked his sensei for advice. "Never accept defeat" his sensei told him. And useful advice too because when Miguel asked Sam out he got rejected, she said she would love to but didn't want to date anyone at the moment. Miguel felt defeated and disappointed but he remembered his sensei's advice. So he insisted, saying it was not a date, just hanging out and Miguel could not believe it when she said yes. Technically not a date but it was in the air that it was a date. So Miguel started gathering any information on where to go and what to do. Asking her friends, checking her instagram (not creepy stalker like just you know, research), anything. In the end he decided to take his sensei's advice and take her to Golf N' stuff and once again his sensei was right. She loved the place and they had such a great time. They played lots of games, won an octopus and of course, played golf. At the end of the date they kissed and it was amazing. That night he celebrated with his sensei, who apparently got them in the All Valley, a pretty important karate tournament. Everything was perfect.

Miguel thought that when you're in a relationship for some time you get closer to your girlfriend. Miguel felt the opposite happened with Sam. She was getting more and more far away. Miguel wanted to get closer to her, he really wanted to but every time they talked about her family she dodged that conversation as if her life depended on it. His dad apparently had this feud with his sensei, so he hates Cobra Kai and all the kids there. His sensei explained it to him and he sounded like an asshole but that was in high school, why can't they let it go? Miguel understood that Sam's dad wouldn't welcome him but he felt like if Sam really liked him she wouldn't care what her dad thought. But as far as his dad was aware, Sam didn't have a boyfriend. And that hurt Miguel. So he went to Sam's house as a surprise. He was really nervous because he wanted to get the approval of Sam's dad but when Miguel arrived, he saw Sam eating outside with a boy. Miguel felt a pang on his chest, an impulse to show up say "Hey guys! Don't mind me I'm just Sam's boyfriend!" But he refrained from doing that. Miguel was too hurt to do anything at that moment.

Miguel was in a jumble of emotions. He felt mad and worried because Sam wouldn't answer her phone. But most of all he was jealous, super jealous. Every time Sam didn't respond to his calls or texts Miguel would think "She's probably with that guy" no matter how much he wanted to evade that thought it would just pop up and leave a cloth of hurt all wrapped around his heart. So yeah he was mad. He decided to go to a party, get drunk, try to forget. Try to drink his problems away. But when Sam came to the party with that same boy Miguel completely lost it. He started arguing with Sam and when that boy butted in Miguel pushed him hard. And was about to hit him when Sam shielded him and got hit instead and at that point Miguel couldn't believe what he had just done. He couldn't forgive himself and by the looks of it, she wasn't about to forgive him either. She left and needless to say, they broke up.

Miguel felt ready for the tournament. He didn't have time to feel sad or bad about what happened. He was just focused. Completely focused. And that day his sensei taught him the lesson of "No mercy" how life gives you no mercy, so you shouldn't either. And he was right. Life hadn't given no mercy to Miguel so why should he? And in the tournament he showed his rage, humiliating kids and at one point making fun of Sam's dad. All that hate and rage that Miguel had stored got out like an explosion of emotions and gave him extra strength, and with no mercy, using it. And Robby Keene, the guy Sam was with, being there only added gasoline to the fire. Before he knew it, he was in the quarter-finals. He won against some random guy named Reid that did flips and stuff like that for some reason. He comfortably won. And he was onto the semi-finals. The other ones were Xander, Robby and Hawk. Miguel would fight against Xander Stone, who also really liked flips and gymnastic and stuff like that. When Miguel heard that this guy had won the last All Valley, he chuckled to himself. That explained his arrogance. Sure he may seem nice with all that speech about ending intolerance and whatever, but on the mat Miguel proved his theory to be right. He did flips and summersaults but not like the guy in the quarter-finals. He did it because he wanted to fight but Xander looked like he wanted to put a show to the people watching, not just the win. And sure he was really good but Miguel was better, he was sure of that. He won 3-1 and went to the finals. After that he watched the other semifinal. Hawk at the start was better. He got an easy point. But then Robby started inhaling and exhaling and suddenly he was focused and confident and he got the point with an espectacular kick. Hawk seemed mad and started whispering something to Robby, who said something back. And it must have been an insult, because out of nowhere when the fighting had stopped Hawk illegally kicked Robby on his left shoulder when his back was turned. Hawk got disqualified and Robby went to the finals. Miguel's heart sped up a bit when he realized that he and Robby would fight it out. And he may sound like a villain or something but Miguel would get his revenge. Before the finals he talked to Sam. He wanted to apologize but she was stubborn. And she started saying how his sensei's teachings had changed him for the worst and Miguel felt mad. How dare she? So Miguel said something bad "Watch what I do to Robby in the finals" Miguel felt disgusted at what he had just said but his pride wouldn't let him take it back. He walked away and got ready for the finals. When got into his fighting positions he let his hatred grow. His anger as bursting bubble that exploded and gave him energy. But Robby was really good, different than anyone else Miguel faced that tournament. He wasn't overconfident but confident enough, he had total focus and pure technique in his kicks but Miguel had newfound hate for him as Sam's dad revealed himself as his coach. He wasn't about to let either of them go home a winner. Miguel attacked he defended, blocked and Miguel started to notice something odd about him. Where Hawk had hit him, in his left shoulder, wouldn't move. He wasn't using his left arm at all. So when the match was 2-2 and Robby offered his hand to him Miguel did something dirty. He grabbed his left arm and pulled down as hard as he could and sure enough, he howled in pain. Like his sensei had taught him, find the weakness and exploit it. Miguel had just found his weakness and he wasn't about to have mercy. When he informed his sensei about it however, his sensei started spouting some crap about having honor and don't play dirty and at that point Miguel had enough. He was mad at everyone. At his sensei, at Sam, at Robby, at Sam's dad... everyone. And he used it all up in the final point. Where he grabbed Robby's leg and kicked him in the left shoulder. Where he kicked him in the gut. Where he lifted that trophy. And even though he was disappointed that Sam didn't see it, he drowned that feeling with happiness. He had won the All Valley
