Melascula had flown back to the town, fully aware of everything. Same with Galand. She had returned to her "home", wanting to get away. To hope by some miracle that this was a bad dream.

Galand had been looking for her throughout the village and he then arrived to her home to see if she was there. Melascula heard a bang at the door which she was reluctant to open. "Mela?" She heard Galand say. She opened the door to the bulky demon. "Let me in. Now!" He demanded. "Galand, wha..." She started until Galand had shoved his way in. "Listen, I know what this is!" He said. "Galand! I know as well." She added. "Arthur visited you as well?" He asked. "Arthur? I met this...thing. He called himself C." She stated. "Who the hell is C?!" Galand asked. "A smiling man who took me to the demon realm, told me the truth of who I am." Melascula explained. The two stood in silence, not knowing what to say next.

"Look, I need you to tell me the truth. I know I'm arrogant, loud, and...just tell me, am I a good person?" Galand asked. "Why are you asking me this?" She replied. "Because I saw a man I've eaten brought back to life." He exclaimed. "Galand, I..." She stammered. Galand clutched his head, this was beyond humiliating for him but at this point, he didn't care. "Don't think you're the only one. I'm in the same boat as well." She admitted. "His presence was greater than Escanor's and he had me on the ground, how do we stop him?!" Galand asked. "We can't. Killing the vessel of Chaos is practically impossible. We've felt what it can do and the torture didn't even happen to us! How COULD we beat that?" She explained. Galand sighed in frustration, he knew she was right. "Does anyone else know?" He asked. "Not that I know of." She answered. Galand than, to her surprise, took off his helmet and for the first time, she could his true face clearly. He had a humanoid face with long dirty black hair, his eye hasn't been tended too but both of the eyes were bright green, and he was growing a beard. "Galand...You're..." Melascula stuttered.

"Don't!" He ordered, not wanting to talk about his face. She sighed and went to go get something for his eye. "Where are you going?" He asked. "Hold on." She said. She came back with a metal eye patch and she then placed it over Galand's "eye". "...Thanks. Why did you do that?" He asked. Melascula sighed, turned her head while slightly blushing. "Cause you're ...my...friend." She said softly. Galand had started blushing as well to her answer. He then stood up and went to look himself in the mirror, he liked how it looked.

"Galand." "What?" "I need you to be honest with me as well." She said. "With what?" He asked. "What were we fighting for all this time?" Melascula asked. Galand then froze in silence. "Uh..." He muttered. "Not for Arthur but the Demon King." She added. Galand still stood there, silent. "Galand?" She called. "I don't know, ok?! I...just..." He tried to answer. "That's what I thought you'd say cause nothing changed. With him or with Arthur, all we are is just weapons to destroy the other side." She exclaimed. "Are you turning your back on them...like he did?" Galand asked. "Of course not!" She answered. "Then what are you implying?" He asked. "The war took...everything...from us! I'm sick of losing and gaining nothing for my faith except pain. My friends, my family, even...Meliodas." She exclaimed. Galand's eye shot open and he stood up to look her in the eyes. "Are you saying you.." he began until Melascula bursted with "Loved him? Yes, I've loved him since I was found and trained to be a commandment and when I heard he chose Elizabeth over me, I just...I couldn't take it. I made my body cute enough to get his attention, I trained my abilities to their fullest potential, and I've put my whole faith and effort to the demon race." She admitted, letting everything out. Galand couldn't understand this at all. All of her troubles for him?! His brother's murde...

Before Galand could finish his thought, a realization came through. Zeno, his father, his mother, all his deceased friends were here. Under the brainwashing he and Melascula had escaped from. Arthur wants this. Suffering, no matter what and that's what Meliodas brings. Galand grabbed his helmet and walked past Melascula to her door. "Where are you going?" She asked. "That monster has brought enough pain to me and my family! Do not mention him ever again!" He demanded, yelling. He then slammed the door. He took his helmet and slammed it on the ground and finished it by stomping on it. His time as a commandment is over but why should he care? Melascula was right. The war has brought nothing but pain to him.

Melascula stood there in silence. Maybe perhaps she could learn to play along but just not now, she needed to be alone. She sat down on the same seat, clutching her head to process everything.

As time went on, the town noticed their silence but when someone had provoked them, they only assure that everything is fine. That nothing is happening. That they're safe.
