Jean coughed into her fist to get the room's attention after Eula's departure.
"Anyway, there's an Inn nearby. I'll have a knight escort you there and get you a room. Please bear with that for today. Starting tomorrow, we can discuss further procedure." I told the handsome traveler.
"There's no need for that, I can-" I interrupted before Lisa could say her piece.
"No, Lisa. You can't and won't escort him anywhere, least of all an inn." I commanded her. I need to protect the weary guest from the clutches of my best friend.

Eventually, I was able to call a guard and send them off, leaving me alone with Lisa once more.

She just sighed and made a face that was about to 'enlighten' me.

I was informed by Master Jean that we have a new traveler.
But he is unable to speak, and therefore I am to serve as his guide.
I only hope I'll be able to find time for my knight training and maid duties...even though Jean exempted me from them.
Anyway, I'm really excited to meet them! Even though we don't know his name, hopefully they're as kind and cheerful as Lumine.

Ah there he is! Right outside their inn!

Wait! How do I greet them!?
"My name is Noelle, its a pleasure to meet you. I am a maid and a knight apprentice. I hope you will allow me to guide you around our city." I did my best.
Suddenly, they adorned a serious face and walked closer to me. I was scared. D-Did they not like my greeting?
I closed my eyes and waited for my punishment. But then I felt a hand on my head.
Opening my eyes, I saw that they were rubbing my head. Then they smiled happily, as if they had crossed an item off their bucket list.
'Weird...but somehow also cute.' I thought.
Breaking out of a trance, they suddenly started apologizing for touching me out of nowhere.
"It's fine. It...wasn't a bad feeling." I honestly replied.
Then we started roaming around Mondstadt. I took them to Good Hunter's for some food. To the back entrance so we could look at some fishes.
To be honest, I think I was having more fun relaxing than I ever did. If I ever take a break, then I always end up thinking about what to do after the break ends.
But maybe its because I'm enjoying my companion's company, after all, they remind me of Lumine, but today I'm...happy.
I'm a bit ashamed. I ended up having more fun than them.
A little after noon, we decided to visit the Church, where we met Barbara.
She almost cried when she heard about my host's condition. And after several blessings and 'I am annoyed' expressions, we managed to tear away from the nun.
I like Barbara, don't get me wrong, but its tough to keep up with her energy. She's awesome to be able to manage her nun duties, her concerts and still act this cheerful.
On our way back, we ran into outrider Amber, who offered to escort them along with me. To her surprise however, they declined and said she should rest if she has free time. Of course, it took minutes to get that across without being able to speak.
Anyway, dusk had arrived and the last stop they wanted to make was the tavern. I didn't want to in there, but I had to diligently complete my duties.
When we were at the entrance, they stopped and gestured me to...go home!? By any chance, I displayed displeasure on my face?!
Uuuu...I'm a failure as a maid.
As I was caught up in these thoughts, they patted my head again and gave me a warm smile.
After several back and forth, they managed to convince me to leave them on their own.
I have a bad feeling about this...but I should accept their conditions. After all, its not like anything bad would happen at the tavern, Master Diluc should be there, right?
