Won't be posting for a while at the wait for the season 6 but I hope you enjoy this chapter!

Season 5

Miguel had to admit he didn't know what he was doing. Only when the bus got to Mexico he realized he had no clue nor leads about where his father might be. He only had his name. Hector Salazar. Hopefully there wasn't a lot of Hector Salazars because then Miguel was never going to find him. Plus, his phone had no service. Plan B then. He knew that it wasn't really smart to go asking people for an Hector Salazar in the millions of people there were but Miguel decided to try his luck. Scratch that, his luck was terrible. First guy he asked, he showed him a map and the guy marked an X on the location. After thanking him and all, he realized his bag was missing. They had taken him. His friends started to circle the guy. Miguel was not about to get into a fight after only being in Mexico for approximately 2 minutes. Plus, he wasn't up for karate after the fight with Hawk. His back aches in response. So Miguel gave them all their money. Just to get a laugh, they gave him some of his money. At least they gave him his bag and the map. But he wasn't sure about trusting the location. So he went around asking, again. Being back in Mexico was weird. Like a wild animal that had to move from his natural habitat to another habitat, and after completely adapting to the habitat, it has to go back to the original habitat. It was weird but at the same time... kind of right? Miguel didn't know how to describe the feeling. Mexico was very different compared to America. Miguel found himself missing his house back in America. The comfy couch, his bedroom filled with 80's rock bands(guess who he got that from?) heck he'd even take the fountain outside that tasted like piss. Miguel's feet demanded rest. They wanted to stop. But Miguel was running out of options (pun. Did you get it? No that's all right. It's all right if you didn't get it. It's completely fine. I'm used to it) so he used the map. Conveniently it was close by. It was a bar of some sorts. Miguel went inside. Lots of people drinking alcohol, speaking Spanish. It had been a long time since Miguel spoke Spanish as first language. When they arrived to America, his grandma and mom agreed to talk more in English in the house to learn fast. Miguel was a child back then, so he learned the language fast and even the Mexican accent went away. Speaking English in the house kind of stuck around, so they started talking in a sort of Spanglish. Talking in English and making comments in Spanish. Anyway, Miguel heard a conversation that included the name Hector. Miguel's ears perked up. He walked over to the table. The one in the middle has a beard and spoke with confidence, meaning that he was the leader. Miguel told him about him and his mom to refresh his memory but he did not seem to remember. He tried but the guy just told him to leave. Miguel was furious that his own dad didn't remember him so he didn't go. A guard stepped up to throw Miguel but in a surge of fury, he grabbed the guard's arm twisted it until he heard a crack and then kicked him so hard in the legs his back roared with pain. There goes the no karate rule. The bearded guy clarified. Denying ever meeting a Carmen Diaz or Miguel. So he should go. Of course he said all this with insults but Miguel was not about to to say all of the Mexican insults he said. So Miguel left. He was feeling pretty defeated and disappointed about it. He didn't really know if that was his dad or not. Miguel was going back the path he came. He was lost but he decided a good walk was good to clear his head. He decided to call Sam. But when he did, they immediately started arguing. Sam being worried and all and saying he shouldn't have done that and that it was dangerous. Miguel argued back saying it was important to him. Somehow Sam made it about her. Saying was he not even going to ask how the fight with Tory went? Miguel was mad about this question. There were more important things in life than karate. He told her so. She just hung up. Miguel was mad and not feeling great about the way the conversation went. Judging by the way she asked about the fight made Miguel think she lost. And if she lost... Miyagi-Do lost. Meaning Cobra Kai had won. Miguel's ears perked up again. A useful perk when you are looking for the name Hector. There were two guys, one taking the trash and the other talking to him. The one taking the trash was the one referred as Hector. He seemed kind. He was taking out the trash by choice, not because it was his job. He was nothing like the other. Miguel didn't know if his second name was Salazar but he followed him(okay stalked him, happy?). He seemed to be that typical guy that knew everyone and was friends with anyone he came across. He also seemed to have a family with one kid. This made Miguel a bit sad. How he had moved on. How he surely haven't thought twice about Miguel or Carmen. But Miguel still followed him. He even interacted with his son when his soccer ball came rolling to Miguel. Miguel was following them still. The kid's ball went rolling to the highway. He went to get it with a car about to cross. Miguel's karate reflexes kicked in. He grabbed the kid however he could and pulled him to safety just as the truck went past them. As any worried family, the parents when to check in with their son. Hector, the possible father, thanked Miguel. The mom also thanked him. Miguel was drowned in a feeling of gratitude. They invited Miguel to come over. Miguel had to politely accept the invitation. So he was off, to meet the family of his possible father.

Miguel had taken an afternoon nap in a stranger's bed. That's how comfortable he was with the family. He was showered with hospitality from the family. He had found his possible father, Hector, to be really kind. Miguel was really relieved about that. He was even considering telling him who he really was. Miguel didn't understand why his mom left him. And yes, his name was Hector Salazar. He had also got the information that Hector thought he had no children(the child Miguel saved was the woman's past marriage). So he didn't know Miguel existed. Miguel got invited to go to El Hoyo Verde. Hector wanted him to come with. Miguel accepted, he wanted to know his dad better. He called his mom after. Accusing her of lying and him not even knowing Miguel existed. He got interrupted by Hector calling so he hung up. Looking at the name, Miguel thought they were going to play golf. He did not expect a boxing match. Hector led Miguel to the VIP. Miguel liked being a VIP. He remembered the last(and only) time he got to be a VIP with Sam, watching the Dodgers play. He was pretty sure that Sam did not like the Dodgers but she sacrificed herself. Thinking about that made Miguel even more guilty about having that argument with Sam. Hector knew everyone, kinda like the mayor. He said so to him. And it was true. He greeted everyone as if they had been friends for a long time. Miguel did not expect the change. Not at all. It was like a prey, living happily with his herd. Generous, living in perfect harmony, until a predator was spotted. And the animal turns cold and knows that it's every man for himself. Getting away from his predator by all means possible. That's what happened with Miguel's dad. The change initiated with a phone call. Hector was a bit altered, he was talking as if cops have come to turn him in. His smile was completely eliminated in a matter of seconds. His expression was stone cold and serious, but confident as if he had done this a lot of times. He started asking Miguel who was he in the phone with, how did he come to Mexico all alone, how he was following him. Miguel did not expect this at all. Lame excuses came from his mouth. All of a sudden, he grabbed Miguel's collar very aggressively. Miguel's karate reflexes were too stunned and didn't react. Hector started searching him, and then demanded him to give him his phone. Miguel gave him his phone. When he found nothing, Hector apologized and asked Miguel to get out of there. Miguel agreed but he was now realizing who his father really was. The fancy house, the shady people, the fear towards the police... his father was a criminal. They went to a store. It was not a store that sold something specific, but Hector walked in. Miguel saw that there were lots of foods, and books and things to entertain yourself. In there, Hector spilled everything. How he was corrupt, how he fled from Ecuador, how he fled from Miguel's mom. Miguel had expected that, but that didn't stop it from hurting. He excused himself, saying that he was going home, which was true. When he got out of there, the first thing he did was call his mom. He told her he was sorry. That he had found him. Miguel's eyes watered. His vision became blurry. Perhaps that's why he was seeing things. Like his sensei, coming out of his car. And approaching Miguel. Miguel hung up. He didn't care if what he was seeing a vision, he just hugged him. He was real. And Robby watching Miguel break down and hug his dad was also real.

Miguel tried hard to make up for everything. Extra chores, making breakfast (a bit burned but his mom vomited the food. That was just rude. He'd have to reconsider an apology meal to Sam) and apologizing over and over and saying he will never do something like that again. He was doing it to make it up to his grandma and mom or to stop that headache that rocked his head whenever he thought about it. After a breakfast that had vomits and food in the trash, Miguel went to see Hawk and Demetri. Hawk was adding another tattoo to the collection. They were both really relieved to have Miguel back. They talked about the trip, being around Robby (Miguel was not ready to talk about it) and girl trouble. When he got a text back from Sam saying that they needed to talk tonight, the boys got alarmed. Warning Miguel that that was a sure sign that she was going to break up with him. Miguel panicked. He was not about to lose Sam. He replied and before long, Miguel was in a conversation where he was begging Sam to stay with him. It was sad that an All Valley karate champion crumbled and begs on his knees to a girl. But she wasn't just any girl. She was Sam. Demetri suggested buying an expensive jewelry for Sam, to ease things out. Miguel wasn't a fan of that idea, he wasn't exactly the richest man in the world. All that changed when he saw it. A necklace. An octopus necklace (long story, relationship mascot, kinda). A beautiful with golden tentacles and sparkling blue eyes that resembled jewels. But it was too expensive, even after a discount. So for some other advice he went to sensei's to ask for advice. He was in the middle of some home renovation it seemed. He lived next door, so he was pretty sure that the smell of pesticide (or paint thinner) would eventually reach his house. Miguel told him about talking to Sam and asked for advice on what to say to her. To his surprise, he said that he should tell her the truth. Nobody was perfect. To admit his mistake, and see where that gets him. Miguel was shocked that his sensei gave out this type of advice. The type of advice that only appears in the movies, where the main character messes up but he (or she) fixes it and everyone is happy again. Then again, sensei's inspirational speeches looked like they came out straight from a movie (Miguel suspected so). Anyway, normally sensei's advice weren't like this (you should have heard his advice on how to pick up a chick in a bar) and he told him so. So off he went to meet Sam. In Miyagi-Do, Miguel spotted her in the garden, her back turned. Miguel started with an apology, saying how he had been selfish trying to figure out his past and not thinking about her. She accepted the apology and admitted that she had been selfish too, thinking only about herself and respected Miguel for taking the time to figure out things. But then came the But. There's always a But. But she needed time. She needed a break from everything. She needed a break from karate. She needed a break from Miguel. And Miguel had to accept that. No matter how hard it was, he wanted the best for her. He hugged her. And as he smelled her shampoo, Miguel knew he was going to miss this. Miss her. He agreed on being friend. Miguel didn't know how he was able to hide the tears. And as he left, he felt himself crumbling, those waterworks banging his eyes and demanding to get out. And they did. And in grief, Miguel threw the expensive octopus necklace he bought to the grass of Miyagi-Do

Miguel did not know how no one had heard him cry. Well he thought he cried hard, he wasn't sure. Either he did cry or it had something to do with the strange noises that came from his mom's bedroom. Miguel prepared himself for a Sam encounter. Miguel's friends were going to the water park to chill out. The downside? Sam. Miguel really did not want to see Sam after what was practically a breakup. But he had no choice. Miguel also had the incredible luck that upon arriving, he had to seat next to Sam. After an awkward small talk that Miguel forced by asking if the chair is free, he sat down, and tried to relax (as easy as that is with your hot ex and Cobra Kai near). The first spark of a rumble showed up when the Cobra Kai's started bullying Anthony. Hawk sorted that up, and now they were going to stay each in one side. Then, Miguel tried small talk on Sam again, but this time it wasn't awkward. It was a more comfortable conversation. He asked her to go with him to the lazy river, completely platonically. Miguel thought that might have been a tad too far, but she agreed. After finishing the chapter she was in. But of course, Cobra Kais and the others were fighting again. Both Hawk and Miguel intervened. To avoid a rumble and getting kicked out, they agreed on a race in a slide. Hawk vs Tory. When the race started, Tory clearly came out first, but when Hawk emerged, you could clearly see his tube had a huge hole. He confronted Kenny, a Cobra Kai kid. Miguel didn't hear the conversation, but Hawk must have said something to make the kid throw a mean right hook. He kept on going, Hawk blocking everything until he got hit. In response, Hawk grabbed his leg and elbowed it, only to be then thrown in the pool by Robby. By then Miguel was there and pushed him, soft enough so he didn't fall in the pool. He wanted him standing. They were face to face, taunting each other. Before they went all Bruce Lee on each other, the lifeguard separated them both and told everyone to get out. And that's what they did. In the parking lot, Miguel found Robby. It quickly got into a shoving match. Sensei Lawrence appeared out of nowhere and separated them. Told them to quit it and that they were all friends. But they were not friends. For once, Robby agreed with Miguel.

The next days were filled with feeble attempts by his sensei to get Robby and Miguel to hang out (including restaurants and breadsticks, neither worked) needless to say it didn't work out. So Miguel was a bit wary when sensei suddenly asked him to come to his house. After asking a lot if Robby was going to be there, Miguel finally went. Inside, the house was decorated for a (very) lame west party. Miguel wasn't feeling any relieved when Robby walked out of the "jail". Sensei said he had created a escape room to make Miguel and Robby bond. The escape room was basically the plot of young guns 2, and both Robby and Miguel were not cooperating. Miguel escaped when his grandma came in the house with a riddle. The same day, Miguel got annoyed at the horn sensei was blasting at full force. He went out the front door the same time Robby did. Then sensei told them that they would fight it out. Make good on their words. Be real men. Miguel and Robby were down for it, and soon enough, they got into their fighting positions. At first they were slow, not really fighting for any reason. Sensei taunted them to fight harder until Robby and Miguel were in a full blown fight. Miguel started to feel it. The fury. The hate. All towards Robby, every time they fought. This feeling of overwhelming power and resistance feeding on rage. He let that control him. Soon every other noise became muffled. He didn't know if his sensei was talking anymore. He didn't hear the sinks of the kitchens. He didn't smell the awful smell that crowded the place. He was just focused on Robby. And as he went up the stairwell, up the second floor, Miguel was only feeling that potent rage towards Robby. And as he pushed him to the ceiling and hit him again and again and again, he had flashbacks of the last fight. Of how it ended. And how had the tables turned, Robby one kick away from falling. And as he raised his leg to deliver the kick, he remembered. He remembered that feeling of hopelessness. The probability of never walking again. The probability of never doing karate again. Miguel hadn't deserved that. Nobody deserved it. Not even Robby. No matter if he was the one that kicked. Miguel froze. His fists up until he decided to bring them down, as Robby stared at him incredulous at his decision. He asked why he had held back. Miguel said he never got into karate to hurt people. He asked Robby why he hadn't held back last time. He said because he wanted to finish the fight. Not like that, just that he got so angry... Miguel understood that feeling. His anger dissipated. Robby and Miguel forgave each other. Maybe they were more similar than Miguel thought. Maybe they were united. All that was confirmed when sensei told them they were going to have a brother. And that day, they had dinner like normal people for once, without killing each other. And as brothers, that was a really good start.

Everyone gathered. Everyone that was against Cobra Kai gathered up at Miyagi-Do. They were all willing to fight against Cobra Kai. Miguel was amongst them. One of them. And for once, everyone had gathered quietly, with no fights. Because they all had a common enemy. And now nobody was alone. So everyone stood, waiting for the first lesson to be taught, by Daniel LaRusso

The lesson was going to be taught by sensei Toguchi, someone from Okinawa. Miguel knew from the stories LaRusso told him that he wasn't a great person, but he had changed. So Miguel stood there stretching, trying to convince Hawk and Demetri that things with Sam were platonic and that Robby was a good guy. Today the lesson was only going to be taught by sensei Toguchi. He kept saying things in Japanese, so everyone just waited for the translation. He started talking (in English) about Cobra Kai gaining ground, and the lesson about the Okinawan rail, a flightless bird. Everyone grabbed each an egg for some reason. The reason was, they had to protect the egg, from sensei Toguchi. No offense to him, but Miguel didn't see possible sensei Toguchi breaking an egg so small, even with hunting knives. Miguel would soon come to regret thinking that. They were given time to hide or do whatever with the egg. Miguel hid it somewhere he knew would be safe. Maybe. When the time ended, Demetri started showing off the protective case he had created for the egg and how strong it was. When he was done with his presentation, a hunting knife whistled by and punctured it with such elegance that the presentation Demetri had just done was pretty ridiculous. Miguel knew sensei Toguchi meant business with his hunting knives. Miguel moved from place to place, soon the sparring deck filled with people that lost. Miguel thought he was the last one. Apparently not. He found Sam inside the dojo. Miguel did some small talk, saying it was the right decision to break up (Miguel didn't actually think that) but before the conversation ended Miguel got pushed from behind and fell to the floor, where his egg that was smartly tucked away in his pocket (don't judge) was now broken. Needless to say, Sam's didn't survive either. Later, sensei Toguchi was disappointed, but let them have another try. Then Anthony, Sam's little brother, suggested staying together, and protecting the egg together. It seemed like a much better idea than going off alone. Everyone put his eggs in the basket, and stood in fighting positions. Like a flock of birds, they were all together. When sensei Toguchi attacked, it was a different story. He struggled to see openings, and as good as he was, he couldn't beat 20 teenagers with determination. Seeing no openings to attack the egg, he conceded and applauded them. And for the rest of the lesson, they learned defense, everyone united.

Today was important. Some critics that decided which dojo got in the international Sekai Takai. That was Cobra Kai's plan. Impress them, win the Sekai Takai and go global. But in the way stood Miyagi-fangs (or Eagle-Do? Best not) and they were not going to let Cobra Kai even qualify. Miguel was determined. They did the presentation today. And so they did. It went well. No mistakes. Good presentation. The veredict was a fight with Cobra Kai. And they would decide who passed. At LaRusso's house, Robby and Miguel agreed in secret that the one representing them should be Hawk. And so they told sensei Lawrence. Hawk was grateful for the chance. He was going to prove himself he said. Miguel slept that night reassured. Reassured that they could win. It didn't go as expected. The next day, they did the fight in Cobra Kai premises. Miguel wasn't thrilled. The boy's fight went first. Kenny had been the chosen one to fight against Hawk, even if he was only fourteen or something. Miguel remembered last tournament, how easily Robby dispelled him and won a comfortable 3-0 victory. Somehow, he knew this fight wasn't going to be a walk in the park for Hawk. And with the Sekai Takai scouts watching, the match began. Kenny started strong and fast. He surprised Hawk, who wasn't entirely up to speed. It had barely been 5 seconds and Kenny just threw himself to attack Hawk, surprise him, and with a kick in the waist, earn the point. Hawk responded in the next play with a flying kick that should have been a point, but the blind ref said it was out of bounds. The next play wasn't any better for Eli. Kenny started with some roundhouse kicks. Eli protected himself and threw a low kick. Kenny reacted and grabbed his leg and elbowed him, hard. That was illegal. It could have been a disqualification but it only ended up in a warning. Eli was hurting and used his time out to try ease his pain. But he was still confident. And it was time to unleash the Hawk. Hawk went back to his fighting position. Kenny started doing some weird posture, extending his palm and with the other hand making a fist with two rolled up fingers sticking out. When the referee indicated the start, Hawk threw a right hook at Kenny. It was all over. Poor Hawk couldn't have seen it coming. Kenny blocked, and in his fist with the curled up fingers, he hit him so fast and hard, that it looked inhuman. It was like a bullet. Hawk lay down in the floor, apparently he couldn't breathe. With a strike like that, in the rib cage, Miguel wasn't surprised at his inability to breathe. Hawk couldn't continue. It was practically all over for them. The best they could manage was a draw but then the scouts may decide that no one was getting in the Sekai Takai. Miguel tried to stay positive. Maybe Sam could really impress them in the girl's fight, but she was up against Tory. All the pain and traumatic experience Tory had given her... it could break Sam. Especially after the last fight. It was like Miguel's silent prayers were heard. All of a sudden, the Cobra Kais couldn't find Tory. It was like she had never been there, except Miguel was pretty sure he had seen her. It was as if... she ran off. Robby seemed worried for her ex, and Sam had already stepped on the mat. Silver was not able to find her. Someone else stepped on the mat. Miguel recognized her. It was Devon Lee, an ex Eagle Fang. They got into their fighting positions. Devon started off strong attacking Sam with kicks and punches, but Sam had her completely dominated, and landed a kick on her back. But the referee said that it was on the shoulder, when it was clear it had been below. Miguel might have muttered to himself. That would explain why he got some weird looks. On one of Devon's assaults, Sam was blocking everything until she slipped a bit in a punch that Devon there, slipping through her hands. The referee took that as a point. Sam called for a time out and she let everyone see how desperate she was. Making comments about the unfair refereeing, and looking really stressed. Miguel encouraged her, saying she was the better fighter, which was true. It seemed to work. Sam had now a burst of confidence. In barely three seconds Sam won a point. Sweeping her leg and punching her in the gut. By the second point scored by Sam it was clear there was a winner. So when the referee lifted Sam's arm and declared her the winner, she got encased with a hug from everyone. The scouts declared the qualifier. It was Cobra Kai. But in a plot twist, they announced that Miyagi-Fang would also qualify. And it was sensei Lawrence who suggested having a party in Miguel's neighborhood. And Miguel was so excited, he agreed. Payment was divided though. Miguel didn't have that much money. It was a wild party. Miguel let himself go. Hawk introduced him to a girl. Long story short, Miguel talked to her and they started making out. At a really bad time. Because he noticed Sam watching him and running away.

Miguel looked for Sam and found her outside, in a fight with. Yup, Tory. They were at it again. Robby and Miguel separated them. Things were said. How Cobra Kai had cheated in the All Valley things like that. When the fight ended, they both ran off. It wasn't looking great. Nothing was looking great. In the morning, they started deciding on what to do with this new key information. But Miguel honestly just wanted to talk to Sam. She avoided the subject of last night as if it was burning fire. It was clear she didn't want to talk. The decision was to talk to stingray. Stingray was a Cobra Kai that had something to do with Kreese's arrest. He had been the one assaulted. Apparently, it had all been a lie and it was Silver that framed Kreese through Stingray. Just so you get the picture, he was a 40 year old man that acted as if he was still in his teens. He's also the only person that have friends that are teenagers. So he wasn't exactly mature. And when interrogated, the best they could get was a game version of what happened (don't ask). It really was not that useful. Sam agreed. She walked out of the room, Miguel following her. They had an actual conversation for the first time in months. Karate, them, Tory. And Miguel cared for Sam. He did. A lot. So he gave out his advice. He didn't beg to be with her again. Miguel would be do anything for her, even if that was staying away.

What Miguel did not expect from the 1:00AM message Sam sent asking everyone to meet her, was Tory being by her side. Miguel took this as a good sign. They told them their plan. How at the old dojo, there had been security cameras, which might have filmed everything. So they needed to go to the main dojo and access the central server. That seemed easy enough. And soon Miguel was sending messages to anyone that knew karate about it. Miguel, Hawk, Demetri, Tory, Sam and Robby went inside the dojo. The rest would stay on the lookout. Inside, after a lot of nerdy language, stress and excitement Demetri finally found the file, which was deleted. Luckily Tory found a replacement video that should be just as bad. But trouble spiraled outside. Tory, Sam, Robby and Miguel went to check it out. It was Cobra Kai. A traitor had told Cobra Kai all about their plan. And after a lot of talk, another ramble sparked. It was wild. The thing was, Miguel used to train with a lot of them, so sometimes he got confused. He wouldn't look too great if he accidentally hit a Miyagi-fang. Nevertheless they tried to push forward. But there were like a million of Cobra Kais. Robby himself was having trouble against three Cobra Kais. Miguel helped him and at that point, he used everything he could. Even his jumper as a really lame shield. Hawk appeared out of nowhere with the IPad containing the files but he slipped and it ended up in Anthony's hands. Before Cobra Kais would start killing Anthony, Miguel said the code word. Protect the egg. Everyone started huddling up. Soon, Cobra Kai found no openings. Miguel resisted like he had never before. He fought, he thrashed, he kicked. Anything to stop them. The video was still uploading though. They were getting pushed in and people were getting pushed out. Soon they were trapped. And then it was simply craziness. Cobra Kais grabbed anything in hope of grabbing the IPad somehow. Mr LaRusso even appeared, along Miguel's mom, Sam's mom and Stingray. As if on cue, the video downloaded in one of the TVs and started playing a video where Terry Silver confessed everything to Tory. It left all Cobra Kais speechless. And again, out of nowhere, Terry Silver appeared. His eyes were bewildered, his hair was simply crazy and he had blood on his cheeks. In that state he tried to convince his students to still support him, but for the first time, they didn't say anything. Then he made a terrible mistake. He demanded a fight. Between him and Mr LaRusso. Very big mistake. And so the fight began. A mock punch from Silver ended with a fist up his mouth. First warning. From then on, it was LaRusso who had no mercy. He got into his fighting stance. Silver started with a right and left hook and a roundhouse kick. All blocked. LaRusso hit him in the chest and put him down. Silver got up with a lot of force and threw a punch that LaRusso blocked with his elbow. They both got into their fighting positions. Blocking two attacks, LaRusso sent a double punch in the chest, sending Silver against the wall. Bewildered, he grabbed a trophy but little did he know that LaRusso was preparing his signature move. As soon he turned around he got kicked in the face and hit the glass behind him. Silver stayed there. Cobra Kais started throwing their Cobra Kai t-shirts which only meant one thing. Cobra Kai, was out of business. Police arrested Silver, Stingray gave a testimony. The ambulance came to treat kids. Miguel found a chance to talk with Sam. Sam showed him the necklace of the diamond octopus. Miguel explained what had happened. Sam figured that he wasn't fine with breaking up. Miguel agreed but said she needed time so he gave it to her. Sam was grateful for it. It had seemed like the conversation had ended, but Miguel let something slip. Something he had wanted to say. It's what you do when you love someone. Sam didn't really know what to say. But when you're 18 it's not like you can just say I love you to any girlfriend. Some might laugh. Some might run away. Others would just break up. But if you're lucky, she'll respond with an I love you too. Miguel was very, very lucky.

Sorry for late chapter but it's done now. Bye.
