Yep, I see Parker as the type of guy, who copies a friend's homework. I feel like I need to do more headcanons for various characters. I feel like the ones I made on Tumblr are low :
Also...I need to know one thing…...why do I suddenly like these two as a ship after ten years of gameplay? I had always put them together, cause they were always the forgotten ones in my game and really never bothered to play with them. (Ah yes both are opposite attracted to 10%...nice...)
Parker Langerak left the office of the principal, then gazed across the hall to spot his best friend Ethan walking along with his girlfriend Bebe Hart across the hall heading to the small playground in the middle, where the teens were meant to sit or play foosball with each other, Parker watched the classmate from the other 10th grade Davy Linnell along with Michael Bachelor play against VJ Alvi on the foosball table and the duo stopped beside the table to observe them. Parker moved across the hall watching his best friend tell Bebe something before she began to laugh about it.
„Why did I believe, that between the two nothing would happen? Am I really this stupid?" Questioned Parker himself moving toward the library, which was a small room with a large window separating the hall from the room. Parker placed his hand on the handle of the door, then shove it against the room, followed by crashing with his arm against the glass. Parker frowned and shove the door a few times forward, seeing it didn't open. Parker afterward pulled the door back, realizing he had been doing it wrong, and entered with an amused face by the mistake.
„You're really like your dad," Said a voice calling the attention of Parker, which spotted his Aunt Zelda sitting in front of the computer looking at her nephew.
„Aunt Zelda?" Spoke Parker surprised. „I had no idea you had library today,"
„ Mrs. Wainwright got sick, so I had to take her place for today," Responded Zelda getting back from the computer to focus on her nephew. „You're here for any books? I've heard from Arthur, that you were doing terribly….and your mother, your father, your sister…..."Zelda began to count down, while Parker nodded slowly getting bugged by her counting.
„I know, I know. I don't need any more complaints in my life. I'm here to look for any books related to technical progress. I know Ethan took them from here. I used to be with him before,"
„Good, science and math are on the purple shelf. Remember it's sorted after class levels. Row ten is yours," Warned Zelda making Parker nod.
„Thank you, tia," Responded Parker, then walked to the second corridor to look for the purple shelf, afterward he stepped aside and got to the third one to encounter the said shelf. As he saw, he wasn't the only student to look for a book. There was a short-haired brunette girl in a green pullover and brown pants seeking through the shelf for something as well.
„ Hey I think I know her," Parker mumbled to himself observing the girl take out a book to check the summary behind it. The girl didn't turn her face away from the book, then Parker approached the girl and glimpsed up at the available books to see, she had taken one out from the 10-level shelf, which he needed to give a look into.
„You're also in the tenth grade, right?" Asked Parker shrieking River, which flipped the book up and watched it fall down at Parker's head, making him twitch his head upon the impact. „Woah….."
„Oh I'm sorry!" Apologized the brunette embarrassed. „I was deepened in the summary and I assumed you were someone else," River commented watching Parker hand her the book back, then moved the summary up to read it carefully.
„Uh that's for scien…"
„I assumed you were Michael….." River began, then saw she had interrupted Parker's sentence. „Sorry,"
„Sorry….." Parker apologized as well, afterward, both chuckled at the awkward situation. „Go on, I wait,"
„ Nothing special. I thought you were Michael Bachelor. You know the athlete from the Bachelor family,"
„Oh no, I'm not. I have no idea, where he is anyway," Mentioned Parker. „Or if this is a place he would ever visit,"
„ I think everyone does, when you have homework, unless you got a different source," Noticed River making Parker nod.
„I have never seen him do the homework. I can't tell exactly, what he does," Confessed Parker.
„Alright. What were you about to say?"
„I was about to ask if this was the science book, which would explain the topic about the technical progress at the science subject. I'm a little….delayed with the studies," Parker explained a little dishonestly, making River cackle.
„Delayed in like, your friends have no time to let you copy their homework or don't take their time to do them with you?" Questioned River crossing her arms with a smug grin on her face.
„ Hey, who told you that?"
„ No one. It's just basic knowledge from being here at the school for a couple of years with the same people. You get to know certain details about certain people,"
„You're right. Ethan used to let me copy his homework or help me out with it for a pretty long time. When he started to go out with Bebe, we haven't been able to interact a lot outside of the school time. I asked Holly, a few other classmates, but they can't help me out. I have been doing everything on my own and it turns out, that I'm pretty terrible without him,"
„Have you ever had your homework checked?" Questioned River watching Parker shake his head.
„Our teacher just shows the solutions on the projector and we gotta make sure, we have the right solutions and correct, them when necessary. I kind of did have a lot of errors and when I fixed the first one, I would miss the next ones, and the teacher would have shown the solution. Somehow I missed a few mistakes and assumed, that they were right and the rest you can imagine,"
„Well how do did you assume learning with wrong answers was going to help you out?" Questioned River bewildered watching Parker shrug his shoulders.
„ I was hoping to pass at least with a C. I should have known it wasn't worth the time,"
„ That was bad luck for you. Getting any book related to your topics is more worth your time than you believe. The time you spent learning your tasks wrong or begging people for help. You could already know something from here,"
„It's easy for you to say. You're probably good at staying focused when you're alone if you study like that,"
„ I often study alone yes, but in small groups, it's more amusing and helpful," Confessed River. „If you happen to be at science as well, why don't we take a seat together on an afternoon after school?"
„ Where? Here?" Questioned Parker making River shrug her shoulders.
„Or your home. Eventually, I can help you gain focus,"
„I don't think my home is the best place to go to," Commented the raven-haired man. „ My parents are those kind of parents, that assume that every time I take a girl home, she's my girlfriend apparently. It's kind of embarrassing for both of us to explain the opposite,"
„ Perhaps it's like that, cause you've got at the school this reputation as a…..ladies man," Mentioned River making Parker puff.
„ I'm not a ladies' man, just because I try to pick up girls and find the one I'm meant to be. I happen to be not quite lucky with the girls lately,"
„ That is more or less, what a ladies' man does,"
„ I thought, that was a womanizer,"
„That's a higher level," Added River making Parker puff and lean his back against the shelf.
„Alright….. and you really don't mind to…...waste your time?"
„No, if I'm learning with you, I'm also learning for myself for the exams. That's not a waste of time. Bad is it if I would get distracted from learning or not learn at all,"
„ Okay, so you're going to help me out then?" Asked Paker earning a nod from River. „Okay, so if things go well, I will pay you for your efforts," Offered Parker making River wide her eyes, then shook her head.
„No, you don't have to. I'm offering you this. We're friends…..well soon-to-be friends. We barely know each other,"
„Okay, well we used to see each other back in elementary school, but we never spoke with each other,"
„You were befriended with Ethan and I was with Clara," Commented River. „Our lives just went on. Certain effects were influenced by ourselves,"
„Right…..," Commented Parker understanding the way she thought. „ I was so used to counting on Ethan's help…... It's actually my fault, I'm doing bad at the school now," Mentioned Parker. „But…..how are you going to make me better? What happens when I'm on my own again?"
„ I will make sure, that you can do it on your own. Don't worry," Promised River making Parker nod, then she held out her hand to him.
„Cool, so we have a deal…..uh in some way," Parker responded giving River his hand to shake. Afterward, both took away their hands, then River shook her hand a little bewildered.
„You kind of have sweaty hands," Commented River passing her hand over her pullover. „When did you wash your hands the last time?"
„I don't know. This morning at home," Responded Parker unsure.
„You weren't at sports or even the toilet today,"
„Oh, I went to the toilet. Don't worry. I usually get a lot of thirsty during school lessons. Sometimes I need to relieve myself,"
„So you're telling me you didn't wash your hands after using the restroom?"
„What's wrong with it? Guys just have to shake it off. We don't get our hands wet," Parker stated making River warp her face about the imagination of the raven-haired not having washed his hands after using the bathroom.
„For hygienic reasons, people should still wash their hands," Commented River stern watching Parker shrug his shoulders.
„Funny, that's what my mother would say or does say," Commented Parker making River nod neutrally.
„ It doesn't matter. I'm not here to judge you. Come tell me, which topics are up for you to study next week or very soon,"
„Well, besides science there's English and History ," Introduced Parker making River sigh.
„There's going to be a lot of fun then…...English, we leave it out for the moment and focus on Science and History. What topic in history do you have to know at the exam?" Questioned River making Parker grin embarrassed.
„Uh I actually don't know, what it is about. I know it's something with war," Responded Parker making River shake her head.
„Alright, then let's focus for now on looking for a science book. You can look later for the history topic," The brunette suggested making Parker nod and look at the shelf along with the brunette to look for a book.
