I threw them against the wall. I knew they weren't crazy about her, but I didn't think they'd be so careless to the point where they just wouldn't save her!
6pm; Outside of the Macklin Household
Bose's POV
I went up to the porch and knocked on the door. I can't wait for our date tonight! Mrs. Macklin answered.
Mrs. Macklin: Hey Bose! Where's Mika?
Wait, what? I thought she said she was going to meet me here! I have to come up with something quick...
Me: She needed me to get her pajamas since we decided to spend the night with each other at my house.
Mrs. Macklin: Okay!
I went up to Mika's room and got her pajamas out of her drawer so that it wouldn't look like I was lying. As I left, Mrs. Macklin said: Have fun! And don't forget it's a school night!
Me: Okay! Thanks!
I got in my car and put Mika's pajamas on the passenger seat. I decided to drive to the Man's Nest to see what was happening. No one was in there, so I decided to call Mika. No answer. Then I went to call Ray.
Ray: Brainstorm!
They must've been on a mission.
Me: Hey Cap. Do you know where Shoutout is?
Ray: Yeah! She's with me, Volt and AWOL at Hip Hop Puree!
Me: Cool! I'll meet you there.
Ray: Okay!
He hangs up. Something's not right though. I thought Mika and I were going out on a date tonight. We talked about this. Is she losing interest in me? I hope not.
???: So...
I turned around startled. Thankfully, it was just Schwoz. He was cooking steaks.
Schwoz: ...they told you about Mika being kidnapped by Glerp?
Wait... WHAT!?
Me: No! I thought they were at Hip Hop Puree!
Schwoz looked at me with a confused look on his face. He went to the computer to look at our locations. I was obviously in the Man's Nest, Drex is in his room, and for those at Hip Hop Puree: Ray, Chapa, Miles...Mika nowhere to be seen. I felt a mix of feelings: shock, worry...anger.
Me: Where is she?
Schwoz: She's in the same alien zoo where Miles saved you guys from. I suggest blowing this bubble.
He gives me a glowing tan bubble.
Schwoz: It has all of your powers combined and it will override the power drainer in the cell.
Me: Thanks Schwoz.
I blew the bubble and teleported to the zoo, but as soon as I got there, Glerp was trying to cook Mika.
Me: Glerp! What are you doing!?
Glerp: Bose! I just figured we haven't gone on a date in a while, so we can eat the girl who tried to take you away from me!
OH HELL NO! I was already mad at Ray for lying to me, so it was easy for me to shock Glerp.
Me: SHE'S THE BEST DAMN THING THAT HAPPENED TO ME! YOU LITERALLY MAKE ME OLDER AT AN EXTRAORDINARILY FAST PACE!
Glerp: [crying] But I thought...
Me: Well you thought wrong!
I shocked her even more. She ended up dying with how much I shocked her. I freed Mika and she looks at me with a frightened face.
Mika: Did you-
Me: Yes. I'm sorry. Ray lied to me about your whereabouts. He said that you were with him, Chapa and Miles at Hip Hop Puree, then Schwoz told me that you were kidnapped by Glerp and I just couldn't help but see red.
Mika: It's okay, but we have to get out of here. Eat...
Before she could finish, I teleported us back to the Man's Nest. Now she was really confused.
Me: Schwoz's new power suit. It has all of our powers and only he has the gum so we don't have another Teen Dynamite situation.
Mika: Oh.
I asked Schwoz, who was eating steak with Drex, for a gumball and he gave it to me. I changed back to my normal self.
Schwoz: So how did it go?
Mika: Well...let's just say we'll never hear from Glerp ever again.
Drex: Why?
Mika: Well...
Me: She's dead.
Drex: What?
Me: Yeah, she was literally trying to cook Mika and Ray lied to me about her location.
Drex: Oh come on Ray...
Ray, Miles and Chapa arrived.
Ray: Someone say my name?
Me: YOU!
Ray: What?
They look at Mika.
Ray: Oh heyyyyyyyyy, Mika! Back so soon?
Chapa: You're really fast!
Miles: Seriously guys?
Ray and Chapa: MILES!
I threw Ray and Chapa against the wall. I knew they weren't crazy about Mika, but I didn't think they'd be so careless to the point where they just wouldn't save her!
Drex: Oh shit. Need help Bose?
Me: Absolutely not. I can handle them on my own.
Chapa: BOSE, WHAT THE HELL!
Ray: What's your problem, man?
ARE THEY SERIOUSLY THAT DUMB!
Me: My problem is that Mika was kidnapped and instead of trying to save her, you just left her up there to be eaten alive! And you have the audacity to say that I have a problem?!
Ray and Chapa looked at each other and nodded. Chapa was about to zap me, but before her lightning could hit me, I caught it with my telekinesis and formed a ball of electricity. All I could see was red.
Mika's POV
I could see the determination in Chapa's face and the fear in Ray's face as the ball of electricity got bigger. Bose wasn't having it...his charming, handsome, honey brown eyes were now an electric blue. I wanted to stop him, but I just too shocked to do anything. First Glerp, soon to be Chapa and, if there's enough energy, Ray. I got out of my shocked state...but it was too late. Bose threw the giant ball of electricity at Chapa and Ray. They lay there unconscious.
Miles: What...just...
Drex: Yeah, I'm out. I saw nothing. [He leaves.]
Me: Schwoz, take them to the infirmary NOW!
Miles: I'll do it.
He teleports everyone except Bose to the infirmary in the Man's Nest. As much as I want to talk to him about what he did, he clearly needed to be left alone.
Bose's POV
I finally stop seeing red. I look around the Man's Nest's main lobby, but no one was here. I was starting to wonder where everyone was, but then I remembered: Chapa and Ray. I let my anger get the best of me and I most likely killed Chapa and Ray. I just got the nearest pillow and cried into it.
Mika's POV
We looked down at them. I texted Henry asking him if he wanted to see them one last time.
Henry: What? What happened?
Me: Bose caught Chapa's electrokinesis, formed a giant ball, and killed her and Ray with it.
Henry instantly appeared with Teddy right next to him. Teddy checks out Ray and Chapa. His hands suddenly started to have a white glow and he hovered his hands over Ray's and Chapa's chests, keeping his hands half an inch over them. After 15 seconds, he removed his hands and they went back to normal. Chapa and Ray start to wake up.
Chapa and Ray: Ugh...
They look around.
Ray: [excitedly] Henry!
Chapa: Teddy?
Henry: I heard Bose killed you two with your electrokinesis. Is that true?
Ray: Yes! And to think he was my favorite.
Schwoz: Well none of this would've happened if you guys went to save Mika like you said you were.
Henry: Wait, you neglected Mika's call?
Ray: Well she's always trying to make things boring!
The audacity...
Me: We need to protect Swellview! What was I supposed to do? Say lines and let them get away?
Ray: Yes! Then, you can chase them and then fi-
Teddy: I can literally kill you and no one would say anything.
Ray: Oh come on! You can't tell me...
Teddy: Ray, part of being a superhero is being responsible. I've seen you guys fight, and need I remind you of the time Henry ran here to get away from Blackout?
Ray: Yeah, that guy wasn't any fun.
Teddy: Exactly. Not all villains are cherries, unicorns and lollipops. Which is why I respect Mika the most out of you guys.
Hearing him say that warmed my heart. At least someone other than my boyfriend and family cares about me. I instantly wrap my arms around him.
Me: Thanks Teddy.
Teddy: You're welcome kid. Actually...
He took an orb, pointed it at Ray and Chapa and suddenly, gold and red beams were sucked into the orb. He then pointed the orb at me and shot said gold and red beams into me.
Teddy: [to Ray and Chapa] Until you two learn how to willingly save people and not try to act cool against the villains, you two are suspended from crime fighting. As for you, Mika, you now have their powers. I declare you the leader of Danger Force.
Chapa: But what about Miles!
Ray: Yeah, he came with us too!
Miles: You literally convinced me to! I wanted to save my sister, but NO! WE HAD TO GO TO HIP HOP PUREE BECAUSE YOU TWO DIDN'T WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH HER!
Teddy: Checks out.
He then used his telekinesis to get Ray's and Chapa's gumballs.
Henry: I actually agree with him Ray. You should've saved Mika and then go to Hip Hop Puree.
Teddy: Exactly. Now let's see Bose.
He teleports us to the Man's Nest lobby and we see Bosey crying into a pillow while sitting on the couch.
Teddy: Well, I think he feels guilty about killing them. [to me] You want to talk to him? In private?
Me: Yes please.
Teddy: Okay.
He, Miles, Henry and Schwoz disappear. I head for Bose and tapped his shoulder.
Bose's POV
I felt a tap on my shoulder. I used the pillow rub the remaining tears off my face. I look up to see my concerned, beautiful, loving girlfriend who I don't deserve.
Me: They're dead, aren't they.
Mika: No. They're alive and they don't feel guilty at all.
Me: Of course not.
I was about to see red again, but thankfully I stopped myself this time.
Me: How can they hate on a girl like you to the point where they wouldn't have cared if you died? You're literally the best thing that's ever happened to me. You care, you're strong, you're pretty, you're determined...you have it all. I don't deserve you but you like me anyway.
Mika: Love. I love you. But they're probably jealous.
Me: Or ignorant.
I take a deep breath.
Me: But I killed Glerp and almost killed Chapa and Ray. I don't understand why you came back to me.
Mika: Because you saved me when no one else would. I'd be dead if it wasn't for you. And you killed out of furiousness because you didn't like them harassing me. Sure it's not the right thing to do, but we have Teddy who can fix those mistakes. You also felt guilty for killing them. You owned up to your mistakes.
Me: If I did then I'd be in jail.
Mika: Look, even if you were to get locked up, I'd still visit you. I love you Bosey, and I wouldn't want anyone else.
I started to tear up.
Me: I love you too Mimi.
We leaned in and our lips met. This was the best thing that happened today and it's not even close. We took tiny gasps of air every so often and got right back to it. We pull away after 5 minutes.
Me: I think we really needed that.
Mika: Agreed. You ready for our date?
Me: Oh yeah! Let's go!
And we went to Montego's.
