Tekken: About the Story – Chapter 3 – The Precipice of Fate
A few days after Heihachi and Jinpachi encounter beneath Honmaru...
"Forgive me son... I did not teach you the real values of life… Forgive me grandson... I cannot protect you from all the dangers of life… At least I will be able to see my beloved one again on the other side…" Jinpachi uttered its life's final whispers in the presence of soldiers that knew the way out from that abyss. The torches did not have more need to be kept lit.
"If you want to check it with your own eyes, sir. Jinpachi Mishima is dead." One of the guard soldiers ended the call to Heihachi, it all occurred as planned.
From the other side of the line, the ambience was completely different. Heihachi walked into the center of a bustling city which looked like another Asian country. It was possible to see a lot of street vendors working constantly selling exotic foods to several clients, natives and foreigners. In the middle of that crowd, high buildings were commonly seen and the noise from the sellers and customers were high and constantly, something that seemed not to interfere the call quality between Heihachi and one of his subordinates.
"That is good, we can leave it be. I'm in China right now and I can't leave my business unfinished. Go on with your work." Heihachi turned off the call while he stopped in one of the street sidewalks being watched by a kid, a needy boy who would not stop to look to the man.
"Do you have some work to offer me, sir? I can be useful if you give me the chance to." Said the boy with gray center parting hair. He was very dirty and really seemed to rely of somebody.
"Work? Where are your parents?" Heihachi seemed to want to talk to the boy which by his point of view he was younger than Kazuya. Both had age to be considered even brothers.
"They are already dead, I am a street orphan, sir. If you want, I can polish your shoes for something of value." The young boy who was sat on the ground stood up making everything to please Heihachi. Including the smile on his face did not seem to be of happiness, it seemed he was being gentle.
It was about three hours pm on that place and even so it was not a very safe place to wander by. When Heihachi was about to keep his phone in the pocket he soon had it stolen, some kids wandering around near the place acted quickly and succeeded taking it from his hand before he kept it. Those kids certainly knew martial arts and ran for their lives while the boy approached Heihachi's shoes to try to polish them.
"How miserable!"Heihachi yelled after losing his phone and when he looked to his side, the boy who talked to him ran after the other kids. Heihachi running until around the corner saw it was a dead-end street and that the boy which he talked to already had surrounded the others to a fight which goal was to take his phone back.
A quick fight began, it was three against one. The boy Heihachi have met started to fight a Jeet Kune Do style and easily beat the three kids older than him. After the fight, the boy returned to Heihachi giving back what was his by right while the three little thieves ran away leaving the dead-end street the same way they got there.
"What is your name, boy?" Heihachi asked with a smile on his face watching his attitude for giving him back what was rightly his without saying one word after recovering it from the real guilty ones.
"Lee Chaolan, sir. I could not let them do a cowardice like that." Lee lifted his head looking to the businessman which also valued martial arts.
"Very well, Lee. Would you like to live in Japan and become my adoptive son?" Heihachi was straight, apparently Kazuya would get a brother and by the public view, maybe Heihachi would be a generous man or simply he had a side which he would not show to no one.
Some weeks later in Japan...
Inside Mishima Estate, exactly at the Honmaru temple's top floor there was a lesson of martial arts, or would be better to call it training? Heihachi Mishima was sitting on the ground in the zen position backwards to the golden Buddha statue to watch the fight he was so concerned, the fight where his new son would show what he had learned from the Mishima Style Fighting Karate besides displaying its mix with Jeet Kune Do which was already something he knew. Both Kazuya and Lee positioned one in front of the other before starting the duel.
"Humph, will you continue with this superiority air? Are you not afraid of undo the hair?" Kazuya Mishima said to his brother who he had a rivalry. That type of action was very common between the two since the day Kazuya met Lee personally for the first time. The two traded their "greetings" before starting the fight.
"It is not plausible for you to use that type of vocabulary, my dear brother." Lee Chaolan made a classic pose calling Kazuya with the index finger to go to him to start the fight. The way these two acted it was atypical for kids, and even so it was a fight from a five years old boy against a four years old boy.
After some minutes from the end of the combat, the two were with their bodies sprawled on the floor from such tiredness. Heihachi noticing it was the end, stood up and watched the two down. He already imagined that would be the right time.
"Kazuya! Get up or we are going to be late. Lee, you can stay here in the temple to intensify your training, you have much to learn about our family, including perfect our fighting style." Heihachi talked to both of his sons. About the Kazuya's delay spoke by Heihachi, he promised him a faraway trip as a tour, where the same would meet some family relatives. While Lee had to get more familiar with the daily from the Mishima family.
The two sons got up slowly and Kazuya ran after that like he had no fag until reaching Heihachi. "Is it time for us to go?" It was his question seeing that Heihachi turned his back. "Let's walk a little before that, I need to show the mountains view and talk to you about things I need to tell you." His father began to walk waiting the same to follow him.
It would seem like a touching moment between father and son, a clear sky walking where they climbed up a cliff near the residence which also had road climbs to automobiles. On the way, Heihachi told the truth about the death from the boy's mother, a five years old boy like he was an adult to understand how it was to be possible his own mother tries to kill his father saying his father would be a threat in the future. But off course, leaving the most shocking and relevant details apart for when they reached the top of the cliff.
"...And for that reason, it was me who killed your mother." Heihachi finished telling and the boy turned to his father after hearing his words. Both front-to-front about to start a fight for Kazuya wishes that even being a child, he would not let go the chance to discount the hate he felt for his father.
"I knew you didn't love her! If it was not for you… My mother could be alive right now!" Kazuya raged yelling and running towards Heihachi wanting to fight with him and avenge his mother's death. Even so, his efforts seemed futile, after all, there was a huge discrepancy of age, fighting experience, besides the size of the body and its shape.
"Try again after being reborn into another life!" Heihachi gave him a kick knocking him out, after that, he carried his son on his arms and approached the cliff's edge. The place's view was beautiful and at the same time frightful. It was possible to see several mountains and cliffs at clear sky, although, looking down, there was the precipice. The place where the person who fell could not come back. Heihachi looked down with his son on his arms and after seconds of reflection, he threw him off the cliff.
