* Six Months Later *
Naruto sighed as he sat up from his bed as today was October tenth the worst day in the world for him. Naruto looked at the door flashes of what happened a year ago but he just shook his head and got out of bed. Naruto sighed as he put on a shirt then he walked out to the living room then headed to the kitchen. Naruto saw Kakashi in the kitchen so he sat on the stools at the bar part of the kitchen when he heard " So how are you?" Naruto looked at Kakashi then said " Good." Naruto saw Kakashi nod then saw him turn around and turn on the stove. Naruto just listened when he was sizzling which annoyed him but after a few minutes when he saw Kakashi step back a huge flame appeared. Naruto got flashes of what happened. Naruto grabbed his head as he replayed what happened in his head and he felt tears down his cheeks and he just said over and over again " Don't hurt me please." Naruto fell onto the ground which alarmed Kakashi and as Naruto replayed everything that happened. Naruto got into the fetal position as Kakashi got to him.
Kakashi looked at Naruto when he said " Naruto's what's wrong?" Kakashi didn't get a response when he heard for the fifth time " Don't hurt me please." Kakashi's eyes widened when he realized what happened so he pulled Naruto into a hug and said " Naruto you're fine." Kakashi sighed as Naruto continued to cry and after about twenty minutes Kakashi heard Naruto scream then pass out. Kakashi looked at Naruto and just picked him up and set him on the couch. Kakashi created a shadow clone then said " Get the Old Man." Kakashi saw the clone nod then disappear so he sat down next to Naruto and just said as Naruto tossed and turned " Naruto I am so sorry."
Kakashi looked at Naruto for just a few minutes when he looked at his door hearing it open and smiled seeing the Hokage. Kakashi stood up and looked at Naruto again then he looked at Hiruzen and said " I don't know what happened but I am pretty sure he relived what happened." Kakashi saw Hiruzen frown then heard " Shit." Kakashi nodded then looked at Naruto and said " I fucking hate this." Kakashi didn't need to look but he knew Hiruzen nodded so he said " I thought you should know." Kakashi then sat down on the arm of the couch. Kakashi then looked at Naruto as he tossed and turned and then looked at the Hokage hearing " Kakashi thanks and if you need anything just let me know." Kakashi nodded, then he saw the Hokage leave.
* Few Hours Later *
Naruto sat up screaming when he looked around, finding himself in his home. Naruto looked behind him, saw Kakashi walk in, then heard " You ok?" Naruto just looked down as he cried and said " I-I-I…" Naruto stopped talking when he heard " It's ok." Naruto looked up and screamed " No it's not. I am fucking nine and a year ago I was almost fucking killed." Naruto then looked at himself and mumbled " Am I a monster?" Naruto felt the couch shit which let him know Kakashi was next to him so he leaned against him when he felt a hug and just cried.
Naruto only cried for a few minutes when he heard a knock on his door which he recognized as she has knocked on that door everyday. Naruto got up and whipped his tears away then walked to the door and opened it to see Hinata. Naruto smiled then stepped to the side when he saw a bag in her hands and so he said " Hinata you di…" Naruto was interrupted by her saying " Yes I did; I mean it's your birthday and my plan is to make it fun again." Naruto looked at Hinata and just smiled sadly and just closed the door. Naruto then walked up to her and just hugged her, surprising her and said " Thank you Hinata." Naruto then pulled back with tears down his face when he heard " Are you getting soft on me." Naruto chuckled to Hinata's words and nodded as he whipped his tears away.
Naruto smiled then took the bag and sat down. Naruto looked at the bag for a few minutes when he heard " You open it." Naruto looked at Kakashi then said " I fucking know." Naruto saw Kakashi smile so he did then he opened it. Naruto pulled out empty scrolls, ink brushes and books on seals. Naruto looked at Hinata and heard " You like seals so I got you stuff." Naruto smiled then said " Thanks." Naruto then hugged Hinata again until he heard " I also got you a gift." Naruto looked at Kakashi confused until he saw a box shape wrapped in wrapping paper.
Naruto took it and opened it to find a box so he opened it again to find sealing stuff then pulled out a short sword with a small silver blade and silver guard with silver handle. Naruto looked at Kakashi when he heard " That was my father's sword and when I took it I broke it. I got it repaired for you." Naruto smiled then said " I like it." Naruto then set the sword down when he heard " Ok cake time." Naruto looked at Kakashi then at Hinata and said with a smile " You planned this." Naruto saw Hinata and Kakashi nod then he heard Hinata say " Like I said I will make your birthday fun for you and we both thought today would suck and try to take your mind off of…" Naruto nodded at Hinata and didn't say the final word but he knew and said " It's working." Naruto then stood up and walked into the kitchen with Hinata and Kakashi and sat down as Kakashi walked out with a small cake. Naruto chuckled but smiled as he said " Thanks." Naruto then took a piece of cake after Kakashi cut it.
Hiruzen was sitting at his desk finishing up his last piece of paperwork before leaving to go and give Naruto a gift for his birthday. Hiruzen heard his door open so he looked up and was really surprised to see Kakashi. Hiruzen was about to say something when he heard " I'm a clone." Hiruzen nodded, then saw Kakashi sit down and heard " Hokage-sama, I want to talk about what Naruto inherited." Hiruzen nodded and then heard " I don't want to touch my sensei's place even if I can buy Whirlpool." Hiruzen was confused and showed it on his face and after hearing a sigh he heard " I would like to take Naruto to it when he is older and take what he wants." Hiruzen nodded then after a few minutes said " Ok but after he becomes chunin. I would love for Naruto to go earlier but I don't want to deal with the council." Hiruzen saw Kakashi nod and then heard " Ok." Hiruzen smiled then heard " Naruto is up and he is distracted and we are having cake." Hiruzen nodded and then said " Thanks, for letting me know." Hiruzen saw Kakashi nod then saw him disappear in smoke.
Naruto smiled hearing Hinata chuckle and after he took his last bite he leaned back and listened to Kakashi as he told a story. Naruto listened to Kakashi until he heard a knock on the door so he got up as Kakashi stopped talking and got to the door. Naruto opened the door and smiled seeing Hiruzen and quickly hugged him saying " Jiji." Naruto disconnected and walked out of the doorway as Hiruzen chuckled. Then after closing the door he heard " I got you a gift." Naruto smiled seeing Hiruzen turn around and he took the gift and instantly opened it. Naruto opened the gift as Hiruzen stood in front of him with no one seeing him.
Naruto opened the box and set it down and pulled out a white jacket with black lines down the sleeves. Naruto looked at the jacket, seeing it was huge for him but his eyes widened and he took the jacket as he ran to his room. Naruto went to his nightstand as Hinata turned around with Kakashi. Naruto grabbed a picture of his father and mother after they became chunin seeing the same jacket. Naruto's eyes went back to wide as tears went down his cheek. Naruto looked at the jacket when he looked at Hinata realizing what she didn't know when he heard Kakashi say " Hinata that is something Naruto can't tell you as I have asked him not to tell until he's chunin." Naruto saw Hinata nod then heard " So I better hope you become chunin." Naruto chuckled, then he stood up and looked at Hiruzen and said " I-I…" Naruto stopped talking, not wanting to say anything to Hinata as he couldn't when he heard " I can go."
Naruto looked at Hinata and said " Can you just head to the yard." Naruto saw Hinata nod with a smile so he walked up to her and hugged her making her blush and said " Hinata you will be the first one to know." Naruto saw Hinata nod as he pulled back and after hearing the yard door close he waited close to a minute then said " It's my father's jacket." Naruto looked at Hiruzen and heard " Minato kept it as Kushina always liked the jacket." Naruto nodded, hugged the jacket and said " Thank you Jiji." Naruto then took a deep breath and looked at Kakashi then said " Thank you for this day." Naruto saw Kakashi nod so he smiled then stood up and whipped the tears away then said " I am going to get Hinata." Naruto saw Hiruzen nod then heard " I Should get going but Naruto that is the only thing I have." Naruto nodded, then after seeing Hiruzen left he set the jacket in his room and got Hinata.
* Hours Later *
Naruto waved to Hinata who was leaving when he saw a ninja who was standing across the street from his home. Naruto closed the door as a kunai hit it so Naruto sighed when he looked up at Kakashi hearing " You ok?" Naruto nodded with a sad smile then said " No, I am thankful for everything and even you trying to distract me but this made it worse." Naruto then took a deep breath and said " The village might go after you to get to me and…" Naruto felt a hand on his shoulder so he stopped and then heard " Naruto I will go through this whole village for you and they won't touch Hinata no matter what and if they do they will miss that hand." Naruto chuckled then said " You know I am meant to have fun and not worry about this stuff my age but…" Naruto stopped talking again and heard " But you're different Naruto. I promise you that I will not be hurt nor will Hinata." Naruto nodded, then hugged Kakashi and said " Thank you big brother." Naruto heard a chuckle as he felt hands around him and he just stood there for a few minutes.
Naruto pulled back and smiled with a huge grin then said " So I'm assuming that you will be teaching me how to use a sword." Naruto saw Kakashi nod then heard " Yea." Naruto smiled then said " I am going to go to my room and um work on the seal." Naruto heard Kakashi chuckle then said " You're a lot like me." Naruto smiled then continued walking. " I got it from my big brother." Naruto then closed the door not knowing there was a man leaning against the wall outside his room.
* Later that Night *
Hiruzen was sitting in his office doing work when he heard " Hey." Hiruzen looked at his window seeing his student Jariya hope through. Hiruzen frowned when he said " Naruto needed you." Hiruzen hasn't talk to Jariya in a year pist at him when he heard " Please don't go there." Hiruzen shook his head tired of Jariya and said " No you stop Jariya, your his fucking god father for crying out loud. Kakashi might haven't taken in Naruto but he watched over him and took him in a year ago after his attack you didn't even fucking visits." Hiruzen looked at Jariya, seeing him nod, then heard " I know but I am going to be in his life when he needs to be trained." Hiruzen grew more angry but calmed down a little and said " Jariya he knows who his parents are and he doesn't know about you yet. If he finds out and you come to late it's your fucking fault he doesn't want your training."
Hiruzen saw Jariya grew angry and heard " You know what I do Sarutobi sensei for this fucking village. I would rarely see him and I wouldn't even be good. I never had a father growing up, I have no idea what to do." Hiruzen grew angry and said standing up " Cry me a fucking river. Kakashi had a father and he killed himself. Kakashi didn't take Naruto at first because he didn't trust himself not to abandon him but guess the fucking up." Hiruzen took a deep breath then said " He fucking took him in not caring. Kakashi didn't care, just cared for Naruto and did more than you did." Hiruzen then sat down and said " Minato chose wrong to make you the godfather." Hiruzen saw Jariya pist off now but he just said " Dismiss." Hiruzen saw Jariya not move so he yelled " Dismiss god dammit." Hiruzen saw Jariya walk to the window and heard " You're fucking right ok but you don't get to yell at me."
Hiruzen looked at Jariya not in the mood when he heard " You didn't take him in either and don't give an excuse, your whole family doesn't think of him as a monster and you know that." Hiruzen nodded then said " I know I fucked up but so did you. I don't care what you do Jariya but I don't want you coming to me when he doesn't want to get to know you." Hiruzen looked at his desk and said " Jariya he really needs you. He is afraid of the villager's going after Kakashi and his friend Hinata to hurt him. Instead of being a kid he is studying seals trying to become powerful to protect his family which isn't wrong but he's now nine not sixteen." Hiruzen then sighed and said " Jariya he needs all of his family including you so don't mess this up because if you do one day he will hate you forever." Hiruzen saw Jariya hope out the window so he looked at his desk seeing the scroll he left and just sighed.
