Remorina was patient. More patient than she should have been at this time. She had felt the strings of fate shifting tunes just for a moment. She knew her time to escape from Dawnkeep was coming soon. She knew that her master Denathrius felt this too. Thus, she waited. Preparing to strike much akin to a snake.

Z'rali seemed to have sensed this to, and became hypervigilant with containment, but Remorina did not make any outward fluctuations in her power. Her master was planning on escape, and she would do everything in her power to make sure that his plans would become reality. Even though it had intensified, the light felt weaker, fainter.

Her master had weaved some of his remaining power into her in fine, barely visible strands of Anima, protecting her from the most damaging parts of the Light.

Remorina shivered in ecstasy as she felt her master's power intertwine with hers. The cunning and desire of her master became one with her, changing her, molding her further in his image. She was becoming something greater, something better.

Thus she waited. It wouldn't be long now. The threads of fate were vibrating, quivering, and shifting quickly. Something was about to happen, and her master was about to move.

Then, her master made his move.

Even in his diminished form, he was unfathomably powerful.

"Our escape is approaching, my dear. Be ready" her master's voice relayed his plans. From this, she began fighting against the light with her full power.

Darkness descended upon the land, and the light of Z'rali faded to a faint ghostly light that seemed nigh invisible to an onlooker. However, this was not so simple. The light of creation was not so easy to dispel.

Z'rali shivered and fought, light blazing, and suppressed the power of Remorina, but could not fully contest both the power of her master and her.

Then, a large green portal of swirling energy appeared behind Z'rali, pulling at the Naaru, breaking it's concentration. With a sound like shattering glass, some of the wards restricting her master's power broke, and a blast of red magical energy erupted from the sword in the light, destroying the edicts and light that bound them.

"It is time to take back what is mine" her master spoke through her, his voice echoing through the darkness.

Within seconds, the medallions he had given to the Venthyr that held much of his power appeared floating around Remorina in a circle before being absorbed into the blade.

"NOW" he shouted, and Remorina flew towards the portal, severing the magical connection it had to the Naaru. The blade flew through the portal that closed behind it, no longer connected to the Naaru.

Denathrius was free.
