"Oh good, Winchell's, I was afraid since Tim was gone we'd get stuck with the normal crappy donuts we used to get." Toby grinned at her. "Good morning Paige." Toby added.

"First, that was a gift from Walter when I started working here. Second, I never used it because I wanted us to be friends. Third, if you wish to speak with me, doctor Curtis, it is Ms Dineen." Paige told him.

"Look, I'm only going to call you Paige." Toby told her.

Paige stopped at her desk and stared at him.

Toby stared back as if challenging her.

Paige pulled the string undoing the knot keeping the box closed and then turned the box upside down over her trashcan and everyone but Walter watched the donuts land in the trash.

"Then don't expect me to answer you." Paige said as she dropped the box into the trash next and then dropped the string before walking around her desk and putting her coat up.

"What the hell?" Toby asked as he was shocked at her action.

Paige turned and began to walk back into the kitchen and Toby began walking after her.

"Do you want to be fired?" Walter said suddenly.

Toby stopped and looked back at him.

"You can't be serious." Toby said.

"If Ms Dineen says you need to call her Ms Dineen, then you will respect that. If you disrespect Ms Dineen again in any way you will be fired. And moving forward the Loft is off limits to everyone. And for the sarcastic among you that does not include Ms Dineen and Ralph." Walter told them all in a loud voice while standing up.

Toby stood staring back at Walter for nearly a full minute when Happy slapped the back of his head.

"Knock it off. You've caused enough problems. Go sit your ass down." Happy told him.

Toby grumbled but walked over to his desk and sat down.

Paige walked out of the kitchen with her coffee and sat it on her desk.

"Good morning Ms Quinn." Paige said before pulling the chair out and sitting down.

Happy sighed.

"Paige, look." Happy started and Paige turned her plaque around so Happy could see the name on it. "Fine." Happy said and walked back to her work area.

Happy's thoughts were angry and she kept glaring over towards Paige periodically as she worked. Her frustration over what happened was driving her anger higher and higher. Her eyes opened a bit wider as Paige got up and moved back into the kitchen. Her decision made, Happy put her tools down and walked across the Garage floor to the north side of the kitchen. She paused as Paige stood there pouring a cup of coffee.

"Something on your mind Ms Quinn?" Paige asked curtly.

"Fine." Happy said, causing Paige to think momentarily that Happy was going to walk away again.

Paige was surprised she didn't and then she saw the anger in Happy's face.

"You want to be mad at Cabe and Toby over the shit they did to you and Walter? Fine, I'll support you in that. They both acted badly, especially Toby apparently. Cabe, I think, was misguided a bit, but I don't believe he really meant anything bad about it. But he still crossed a line and I get that." Happy stormed.

"But me? You want to be pissed off at me and Sylvester for not telling you what we thought you heard? You want to be upset at us because of what Cabe said? You want to be pissed at Cabe, Sly and I because we didn't know that Walter had confessed a second time to you in the rocket? Nobody told Cabe and me for sure, we were in an airplane on our way to try and save Walter. Remember? You want to hold us responsible for whatever bullshit that Toby told you after Walter got home? Hell no! I am not going to take it. I can't stop you from acting like a baby over us not telling you what we did know. But Sly and I didn't do anything wrong. We didn't know you hadn't heard Walter, we thought you were just pissed and was done with the stupid crap Walter had done, regardless to how he felt about you. I can only tell you that if I had known what was going on I would have ripped Toby's tongue out of his head." Happy continued as Paige took a step back.

"But I am not going to be treated this way. You want to call me Ms Quinn, I can't stop you, but I will not call you Ms Dineen. In fact I'm just going to call you waitress from now on and I don't give a shit if you don't like it or respond to me." Happy yelled and then stormed out of the kitchen.

She stopped at Paige's desk and looked at Walter glaring at her.

"You can just wipe that look off your face. Be mad at me or fire me if you want, I don't care, this is bullshit the way she's treating me and Sly and you know it. And you're a bigger asshole than I thought if you support her against Sly and me over this. And regardless, I'm taking the rest of the day off." Happy said before storming towards her work area.

Walter, along with Toby, Cabe and Sylvester watched every angry footfall across the floor Happy made. And then watched as she snatched her jacket up and put it on. Happy turned to leave as she pulled her hair out from under the jacket, leaving her tools and materials lying there without putting them away.

She saw Paige standing between her and the door.

"Happy. Please don't. You're right, I was wrong in how I am treating you and Sylvester. I let my anger at Toby and Cabe cloud the issue and reflect on how I felt about you and I am very sorry for that. I didn't know you hadn't known…what with how secrets never stay secrets in this place, I figured you knew. Please forgive me for my attitude towards you. You didn't deserve it." Paige told her sincerely.

Happy stood staring at Paige for several minutes while her anger was flashing back and forth in her face as she considered Paige's words.

"Fine, but this better never come up again…Thank you Paige, for listening to me and apologizing." Happy told her.

Paige smiled and nodded as Happy took her jacket back off. As Paige walked away Happy began working on her project again.

"Sylvester, I'm sorry." Paige told him as she stopped before reaching her desk.

"Thank you, I'm sorry too." Sylvester told her quickly.

Cabe watched as Paige sat down at her desk and went back to work. He pushed his cup of coffee back further from the edge and stood up. Cabe walked over to Paige's desk and stood next to the chair on the right hand side.

"May I sit down Ms Dineen?" Cabe asked gently.

Paige looked up at him and nodded as she pointed.

Cabe sat down before he cleared his throat.

"Look, if you want me calling you Ms Dineen from now on, I'll do it. And if you want to only address me as agent Gallo, so be it. But you have got to understand this, when I said that to Walter it wasn't an attempt at anything but protecting you both. I'd thought you had set your boundary with Walter over what he said. I didn't know you hadn't heard him. Walter's as good as my own son would have been. You and Happy are like my daughters so I tried to be honest with Walter, to save him from himself, from future harm by Tim and to protect you. I'm sorry it hurt you both in a way I never would have meant." Cabe told her sincerely.

"I appreciate you saying that…Cabe. But I am a grown up, not a little kid. Walter might still have a ways to go emotionally, but it isn't a way that isn't possible and it isn't a way full of hardships or pain. IF we all act responsibly. If I had told Walter no or that I wasn't interested in him and he persisted, then of course I would welcome you into the situation to help him understand. But my silence shouldn't have been your cue for what you did. And I do appreciate you stepping on Tim to protect Walter." Paige said as she reached out and put her hand on Cabe's that was on her desk.

"As I said last night, I love and appreciate you Cabe. Please don't ever do something like this again. Walter and I lost four months of our lives, together, to all of this. That is really unacceptable." Paige smiled.

"I love you too kid." Cabe nodded as he smiled.

Paige smiled back as Cabe stood and walked back to his desk.

"Walter, did you want me to order lunch or what?" Paige asked softly.

"Why don't we go out to eat today? I could use a break from the Garage." Walter smiled.

"Great." Toby said as he stood. "Where are we going?"

Walter and Paige looked at him as they stood up.

"I don't know where you are going. Ms Dineen and I haven't decided where we're going." Walter told him even as he stepped over and took Paige's hand.

"You guys are really going to push this to the extreme aren't you?" Toby said sarcastically.

"We're not the ones who pushed anything to the extreme, you were." Paige snapped at him.

"Toby, the others have all made peace with Paige over what happened. You however have chosen to remain your normal obstinate, narcissistic self. As memory serves you have two weeks of vacation and three sick days on the books. I think now is an excellent time for you to turn in your two weeks notice. Spend your time looking for a new job. You aren't doing anything right now to help the company anyway. And in two weeks if you haven't found a job at least you'll have a severance package of seventeen days to help you find a job." Walter told him before turning to leave with Paige.

Happy stormed over to Toby after Walter and Paige left the Garage.

"What the hell is wrong with you? Why can't you be a little human here?" Happy demanded from Toby.

"I got to say doc, you are being a spectacular jerk today." Cabe told him. "Especially after what Paige said you did."

"Yeah, come on Toby. This isn't cool of you and it isn't fun. You are being a real arse." Sylvester told him.

"Get off my case about it. They're the ones being arses." Toby complained.

"No they aren't." Happy slapped his arm. "I'm the least developed emotionally one here now and even I know you screwed this up royally. What is it going to take Toby? I can't deal with instability. You promised me."

"I did and I quit my gambling." Toby told her.

"How? You are gambling against Walter and now Paige. Can't you see you are just trading one for another? We're supposed to be getting married in less than three months. How can I trust you? Walter wants to just fire you. Where will you go to work?" Happy said almost in tears.

"Hey my little Asian bride to be. We're a team, he can't fire me without firing you, remember?" Toby smiled.

"Wrong, because I'm not quitting if he fires you. I'm on Paige's side here. You screwed with them, on purpose and have been this whole time. Why would you do that? I can't believe in you. I've got to rethink this wedding." Happy said before she turned and walked away.

Toby's eyes went big and he moved quickly after her.

"So, where did you want to go Walter?" Paige asked as he put his car in gear.

"Well I'm open to suggestions…But…but I'd like it to be somewhere that would be a bit on the quiet side, You know? Not a lot of people…so…so we can talk more. W-We hadn't really talked about…us…about what we're going to do moving forward." Walter said before pulling out onto the street.

"Mmm. That sounds nice. Maybe I should have just made us lunch and we ate up on the roof. Plenty of privacy there." Paige smiled.

"No, Toby wouldn't have given us any peace. He'd keep trying to turn things around on us. Trying to make it look like we were the bad guys and he was being treated unfairly." Walter said as he drove up the on ramp of the 105 west bound.

Paige just smiled and let him drive.

"So are you serious about Toby quitting?" Paige asked as they drew close to the end of the highway.

"I was about to just fire him. Part of me was hoping he'd say one more disrespectful thing to you so I could have without feeling guilty." Walter told her as they exited the freeway.

Walter pulled into the parking lot not far from the beach and after getting out of his car, took Paige's hand. They walked slowly towards the beach and then saw the street vendor who sold tacos and they both grinned as they stepped over to get some.

They found a nice spot with a large rock they could sit on as they ate. Paige opened up first about her feelings about them as a couple.

Walter found himself smiling a lot at what Paige said. It took him a bit more to get his own words out but he felt he must have been saying them in a way that was pleasing to Paige. She had a smile on her face the whole time and even a couple of tears graced her face, but never once did her smile go away.

They walked back into the Garage nearly four hours later. Smiling at each other as they hugged one armed as they walked. The love and happiness of them both brightened up the Garage instantly.

Only moments before the air had been stale and subdued as Happy had raked Toby over the coals for nearly the entire time that Walter and Paige had been gone. She dismantled everything he tried to use to defend himself with. She was so fed up with it.

Toby stepped out as quickly as he could as they walked by him on their way to their desks.

"Umm…Ms Dineen, Walter…Uh, may I have a moment…please?" Toby asked as he glanced to the side at Happy standing there glaring at him.

Walter's eyes closed as he sighed.

"Why did we have to come back now? I was feeling on top of the world." Walter complained to Paige.

Paige had also felt dread from Toby's words but she forced it out as she looked at Walter.

"It's okay Walter. Maybe he'll give us a reason to fire him." Paige said optimistically, causing a chuckle from Walter and Cabe. Even Happy had too, despite her desire to remain angry at Toby.

"What?" Walter said finally as they turned to face him.

"Look, guys…I…I don't have an excuse for my behavior, just more of my narcissistic tendencies coming out. But I was wrong, wrong that I used my pain, and anger at Walter, to stop the two of you from being together. I was absolutely wrong and you are right, I did take pleasure in seeing what you both went through. There is no defense in it. Maybe Happy is right, maybe some of my need to gamble spurred it on but that doesn't matter. What matters is I was wrong, I went out of my way to hurt you both when I should have been helping you through what you were doing." Toby told them.

"How many times did I try to guide you to your feelings over Paige in the past? And then, when you finally did it, finally owned up to those feelings and floundered I turned my back. When you did it again on the rocket, I let my pain guide me into causing Paige to not help you with what happened. As I said I have no excuse, no defense, I was plain, flat out wrong in what I did. I can only ask that you please, forgive me, and give me another chance." Toby told them as sincerely as he could.

Walter's outrush of breath told them exactly what he thought but he still turned to Paige.

"What are your thoughts on it?" Walter asked softly.

"I'm not crazy about it, but there have been times when having Toby on the team made a difference. I suppose we can try again, but on a trial basis. I do not want anything even remotely like this to happen again." Paige told him.

"I suppose that means you have a reprieve, for now." Walter told Toby.

"Thank you." Toby told them.

Greetings! I Hope this finds you all well! Well that brings this telling, sadly, to an end. Hope I hope you enjoyed the final chapter as much as the previous 2. Next up is a 2 chapter story for Lady Knight...and then...Not sure. A future story of Knight's Tale has been talking a bit. I now have nearly 3 chapters of it written, but it isn't even close to being ready. I've also thought about posting Dark Walter. While it isn't ready, it is like 20-21 chapters long and maybe I could finish it in the 40 days it would take to post. Or maybe just take a break from posting until I have a complete story to share, don't really want to though. I guess we'll find out come Wednesday.

Lucy - Well, now you know. LOL Happy definitely gave it back to her.

Railman - It was enjoyable! hehe

JerBr23 - Thank you! Yes, so thankful for fanfiction! Now I just need to get back to reading as well.

Pearliegirl - After what I posted you think damn is a reason to apologize? hehe But you are forgiven if you need it. hehe Thank you! Our weather was kind of grey and dismal like normal for this time of year. lol But it was a good day none the less. Glad you had a good one!

Guest197 - Thank you! So glad you are enjoying them! As for my inspiration for the Knight based stories, lots of things. lol From my favorite 2 books on adventure being 101 Dalmatians and Boxcar Children, to the Hobbit, the Lord of the Rings animation, to AD&D in the Navy and many other RPG games to follow that. Not to mention comics. It all played a part in adding fire to my desire to tell stories. Knight's Tale was the need to write something familial but yet allowed me greater flexibility and creative license. The world for it itself came from my sense of plausibility. I couldn't just thrust them back in time, how could they have evolved into the characters we knew if it took a 300+ years longer for them to be born? So the question became how to have a 2014 Earth that was more like a 1400 era lifestyle. Of course Sylvester Fantasies and Frolics also helped me wonder what the team would be like in such a setting. Walter and his greater good theory equated him to being a Paladin and each character just grew out of their show's counter part. But to make the system I drew upon AD&D, World of Warcraft, Elf Quest and my own ideas as a DM. Hoping it all would blend into something the fans would like. The stories only get about 1/3 to 1/4 the views of the modern day stories, but at least those who comment to my stories seem to enjoy them. And now you know more than you hoped for I bet. lol

LouBe - She wouldn't be Paige if she didn't unload like a sawed off double barreled shotgun! lol Looks like it didn't lead to a split, but almost a firing. hehe Tim was very confused and while he really wanted to question her on it, he knew she would just hang up on him so he chose to give her some space. He did contact Cabe and Cabe spelled it out for him. The story just didn't want it in there. lol But he was definitely confused until Cabe told him what happened. He kind of understood, he was of the impression she had heard Walter that day too. I thought it odd that he didn't question Paige on it, something like, "So, Walter admitted he loved you yesterday...how are you dealing with that?" And then Paige being like "What?!" But of course the story wasn't allowed to follow that thought. Now that I said that I'm like, why didn't I think of that before now? Seems like a natural thing...Could be a divergence story just before Richard came over for help on the rocket. Paige storming in and being all like, "What the hell Walter? You love me?" hehe Walter said he is willing to risk all of Paige's ire to experience all of Paige. Well I was married...LOL But seriously the show showed us on a number of occasions Paige's rage so she's pretty easy to write that way, but thank you! I did have an enjoyable Thanksgiving, thank you! Hope you did too.

Margaret - Indeed and the wait is now over! hehe

Guest - lol Oh I wish...But then we got "I Only State Facts" & "Uncivil War" storylines that potentially could grow to 100 chapters. Unless you like the re-origination stories, "Callan", "Knight's Tale" or "Lady Knight" they definitely have potential to grow well beyond 100 chapters.

Marie Mac - LOL Thank you for that. When first I wrote that chapter of "Knight Among Monsters" that conversation happened when Walter woke up the second time, it was during Cabe and Allie's watch and it was between him and Cabe. But when I went back to edit I thought, no, it would make more sense he is talking to Happy, so the time changed, dialogue was added and I forgot to change that sentence...*face palm* I have changed it now, btw. That's about the only reason I'll change something, a gross mistake like that. lol Or using drugged instead of dragged, so yep, if you see them, let me know. Most of the Knight stories were written without someone reading them besides me when posted so, mistakes like that can and will happen. Glad you enjoy them so much!

To the Adventure! -Tim
