Chapter 2: Getting introduced
After the incident with Team Star, Ash was ready meet the administrator of the Narava Academy, Clavell.
Clavell: As you can tell Mr. Ketchum, we are very pleased to have you here at our fine academy, most pleased indeed
Ash: Heh, well when you defeat the World Monarch, there really isn't much challenge around, so I decide to inspire others to hopefully be as strong as me someday
Clavell: That's the kind of role model that our students need, especially when it comes to handling Team Star
Ash: What is their deal anyway?
Clavell: Well you see, they were former students who had dropped out and are now causing mischief and grief for us around the academy
Ash: That's a shame, all dropping out or giving up does is cause trouble for both sides
Clavell: Indeed, and they are not so easy to handle, they often attack in large groups so we can't deal with them effectively
Ash: Hopefully we can get a handle on that soon, right now, I want to know the students I'll be teaching
Clavell: Oh, (ahem) right, here's a list of the students you will be teaching
He pulls out a sheet of paper, which had a list of the students that Ash will be having. He saw that one of them was Penny, the girl he saved back there. He also saw some other names that he somewhat skimmed over and then folded it and put it into his pocket.
Ash: Alright sir, so where is my homeroom?
Clavell: It should be around the main building, you will be teaching about Pokemon battles
Ash: My specialty, welp, see you later
Clavell: Until next time Mr. Ketchum
Ash then left the office, eager to see the classroom he will be teaching in, and he saw that his classroom looked like a gymnasium of sorts, with an arena outside, and multiple training dummies gathered in the corner.
Ash: I can tell we are going to like it here already, won't we Pikachu?
"Pikachu pika"
He then opened the door to the office that he has, and he saw a desk, a lamp, some cabinets, a fax machine, and a map of the Paldea region.
Ash: Wow, this is neat
"Pika pika"
After they were done inspecting the office, the duo decided to call it in for the day, and settle into their dorm that they had, which was standard for a teacher to have.
Ash: Welp, I can get used to this bed, nice and cozy
"Piiiiikaaaaa"
Time went by rather quickly, as Ash and his trusty partner got up early and were ready for their first day of teaching.
Ash: This will be a great introduction
"Pikachu"
He eventually opened up his classroom, and soon enough, he saw the first few students arrive, some were wearing blazers with the academy badges, and others were wearing casual outfits.
?: Wow, looks like a gym in here
?: EEP! It's him!
Ash: Ah crud...
Some of the females rushed over to Ash and began fangirling over him.
Ash: Kinda figured this would happen
Girl 1: I am honored to have you as my teacher
Girl 2: Can I have your autograph please?
Girl 3: Your Pikachu is so cute and strong!
Even though we was in a new setting, it seems that he was still very well known.
Ash: Alright alright easy, I need some space
Some of the males sweat dropped at their fellow students acting like little girls at their new teacher.
Boy 1: Wow, that was something
Ash: You have no idea, anyways, we're almost ready to begin, we just need to wait on a few more students to arrive
Eventually, Penny and a few other arrived, and she immediately recognized Ash.
Penny: Oh, I didn't know you will be the new Pokemon Battle teacher
Boy 2: Who wouldn't? He's the new World Champion
Boy 3: It is such an honor to learn from him
Oh great, even the male students were seeing him as a god.
Ash: Ahem, uh, let's get straight to business shall we? My name is Ash Ketchum, and I will be your battling instructor, now let me check your names
There was Penny of course, but there was also Gus, Thomas, Vanny, Zeke, Felia, and Carla.
Ash: Well then, now that is taken are of, let me introduce you to some of my Pokemon
He then released the current selection of Pokemon he had, and his new students were all excited to see them.
Zeke: Cool, you have a Donphan
Gus: Yeah, but what about the other Pokemon?
Ash: Well, these are Lapras, Torterra, Sirfetch'd, and Swellow
Carla: I never seen any of them before
Ash: I guess that's because they aren't in Paldea, so what about your Pokemon?
They each pulled out a pokeball for own, and they send out the Pokemon that they had within them. Penny had an Eevee, Gus has a Tadbulb, Thomas has a Clodsire, Zeke has a Fidough, Vanny has an Orthworm, Felia has a Rellor, and Carla has a Dondozo.
Ash: (whistles) Quite the selection, how long have you all had them?
Zeke: Eh, only around a few months, we're pretty new around here
Ash: Well then, an important part to remember when you have a Pokemon is to strengthen the bond with your Pokemon.
Vanny: How does that help get stronger?
Ash: Well the stronger the bond, the stronger the Pokemon, it allows them to push past barriers that they wouldn't normally get through
Suddenly, they began to hear snarky laughs coming form outside.
Thomas: Ugh, it's those guys again
As if on cue, a bunch of snobbish kids came in with auras that ooze confidence.
Carla: What do you want now?
Snob 1: Oh I don't know, to admit that you are a bunch of losers
Gus: As if, I'll never admit I'm a loser
Snob 3: How about it then, a Pokemon battle
Ash seems to know what's going on, these kids were bullies, and they seemed to be picking on his students because they were weaker than them, well, not on his watch.
Ash: How about you don't
Snob 2: And what are you going to do Mr. Tough Guy?
Ash: Pikachu?
Pikachu immediately understood what Ash means, and unleashed a warning Thunderbolt in front of the bullies.
Snob 1: Are you trying to get us killed!?
Ash: That was a warning shot, either you leave these kids alone, or I will engage you in battle, and believe me, I'm not somebody you'd want to mess with
Snob 2: Tch, bring it on loser, go!
The snobbish trio then sent out three Pokemon, a Grafaiai, a Mabostiff, and a Revaroom. Ash eyed his opponents and let out a scoff.
Ash: Child's play, let loose Pikachu
Revaroom charged forward, but Pikachu jumped over him, and was about to be Slashed by Grafaiai, but countered with Iron Tail, and launched a Thunderbolt at a returning Revaroom. Mabostiff primed his jaws for a Crunch attack, but Pikachu countered by hitting him from the side with a Quick Attack.
Ash's students were in awe at how masterfully he was handling the three on one battle, and the snobs were getting increasingly frustrated. Pikachu then launched a Rising Voltage attack that launched Grafaiai into Revaroom before slamming into Mabostiff with a Volt Tackle, knocking all of them out.
Ash: And let that be a lesson to all of you, if I catch you harassing my students again, I won't be as merciful
That seemed to get the answer across, and the snobs recalled their downed Pokemon and ran away.
Vanny: That. Was. Awesome...
Thomas: I think I can learn a lot from this guy
Penny: We sure can...
