Sprx and Gibson tend to argue, but they never stayed away from each other for too long.

Everyone knew this. They bickered, maybe some physical fighting in there, and they got out of each other's sights for a while. In the end, they always made up, no matter how silent it was. The way their tails touch and hold each other whenever they had to be in the same room together was proof of that. It didn't matter whose tail went to whose first, one always crawled up to the other.

Otto was the first to notice and pointed it out. Once he said something about it, Sprx and Gibson immediately removed their tails from one another and they denied ever holding tails in the first place. It didn't last long until they intertwined tails again. From then on, it became the first sign of reconciliation every time they fought. Nobody commented on it again either; they thought it was best to let it be until they made up.

Every time they left the room, their tails parted from each other.

Unless they made up in the middle of the day, it took until the dead of night. Over time, Sprx didn't want to go to bed while mad at him and vice versa. He knew he wasn't perfect, nor was Gibson perfect, but what mattered was the fact that he kept trying. If Gibson was right, he'd admit it as much as it pained him to say so. If Sprx himself was right, he didn't bring up that he was right, but he apologized for fighting over something like that. Gibson hated being wrong, both knew this, but if no one was around and he felt the need to apologize, he said so freely.

That night was no different.

Sprx left his room and checked to see if Gibson was in his. With no sign of the blue scientist, he checked his lab. There were a few times Sprx stumbled and nearly fell face first into the floor. He groaned, thinking to himself about how he shouldn't wait until this point at night to check up on Gibson. When Sprx saw him in his lab, he went inside and sat beside him.

His tail wrapped around Gibson's. Gibson stopped what he was doing and looked at Sprx. The pilot rested his head on his shoulder. He laid his arms around Gibson.

"...I'm sorry," Sprx muttered.

Gibson continued working. "I'm sorry, too."

Sprx closed his eyes.
