Years and years went by, things were kind of changing in the world and also with everyone, Maril and Merrill were growing up, they were already children, magic ended up giving its final breath with the events of 1999, but luckily the cure was ready by then, there was a kind of "vaccine" against the curse that both of them took to prevent themselves in case Daryl would use it as a way to keep both of them away, besides preparing a whole dossier of proofs for when the moment would come.
The millennium started and things changed a lot, Laura even had the luck of winning a race in the WRC, but she still wasn't champion in the meantime, as Bernadette collected trophies and more trophies, she was already the greatest skateboard
medalist of all times, her ability was something that impressed. Only in that turn of events the two end up having the first step.
Included in this period was Chariot's stay as Laura and Bernadette's adopted daughter, who suffered quite a wickedness when Daryl had her expelled for lack of documentation, forcing her to live in Luna Nova after the place became an orphanage due to the events of 1999
At the end of that year the first child is made, the fertility stone is used, until April 30, 2001, when Diana Cavendish McLaren IV is born, leaving Daryl ready to launch the curse, just waiting for the other one to come, so to separate the family, but they took a little more time, at the end of that year who gets pregnant is Laura, being born on August 7, 2002, Hellene McLaren Cavendish, the youngest daughter of the couple.

From there Daryl was taken away by WCI agents, who kept her locked up for a while until the trial, simply Cavendish was the last person tried in a court of law for witchcraft"related crimes.
During this hearing, she confessed all the crimes in an absolutely calm manner, revealing from the day she was released until the moment she decided to react, which was an absolute shock to everyone there who was getting with the coldness of Daryl, much of it was due to the lawyer saying that it was the best to soften the sentence, since the evidence was very compromising. As a result of all this the conviction was given for 25 years in prison, which evidently was not much served.

The presentation of all the history behind Bernadette and Daryl's past is told in a quick summary by Laura and Bern who finished the explanation, even having a bit of tears as they finished showing the moments when Lucy can finally meet her daughters.

Daryl was something striking in the family, but not as a good thing, instead a lot of the bad things happened because of her, all starting back there with all of Margaret's manipulation over Marie to Amelia before Daryl was even born until, arriving at the moment when the two Cavendish manipulated their granddaughter niece, which almost resulted in the ruin of the whole Cavendish family.
