In Luna Nova there was a kind of protection and preparation for the presence that Daryl could make after threatening Laura and Bernadette, but in the meantime Cavendish decided to go somewhere else, just to pay a visit, where he spent some time in a car trip.
Daryl arrived in Scotland, to pay a visit to his daughters, who until then were at home, just like their other mother, the Cavendish gets out of the car and with some bags in hand is soon received by the security guards of the house that are kind of barring the passage.
" You're not coming in here Daryl, we've been ordered to keep you out," one of the security guards said until he was magically shoved into the wall, collapsing faint on the floor on impact.
" Are you going to wait? Will you open this soon or do you want this too? " said the intimidating platinum"haired woman.
The other security guard, afraid, gives way, pressing the gate button, and with that the pony"tailed woman passes through the gates and enters the mansion, which some butlers looking from afar are already running to the inside, terrified by the presence of that woman, who then pushes the door to the main hall and there were her daughters as well as Lucy Watson having tea sitting at a table.
" But what a beautiful family I helped to build," said Daryl, full of irony.
" That voice... It can't be... " Lucy turns around being amazed.
" Hi Lucy, did you miss me? Hi lassies, did you miss me too? I bet you didn't... You never even visited me, you spent all these years despising me, especially me the mother who carried you two in her belly and you too Watson " Said the older Cavendish trying to intimidate the three.
" What are you doing here mother? We don't want to see you, you've ruined this family. The aunts ordered the security guards not to let you pass," said Maril.
" I know, they tried, but I passed them by, I just came here to talk, let's stop being so vassals of Bernadette... Is that what you want for your lives? Are you going to continue being nothing, bowing your heads to your aunt? She leads and gets all the adoration while you are only known as the daughter of that one over there? You will always be in the shadow of your cousins, I love you both, I want to give you a chance to grow, I even want to help Lucy, how many years have you been Laura's shadow? You were just a reader of notebook while she was the one who was piloting and receiving the glories and trophies " said the one with the ponytail wanting to make a manipulation.
" You were the reason for all this! Let's not join your clowning around, our life is fine, I have wonderful daughters, I don't need more than this " Watson said.
" What about your daughters? Do you think they will share the same small mind as you? " Said the other mother of the twins.
" We're with Mum, you can get out of here, you're not our real mother, you never cared for us, if you did we weren't treated like dirt when we were kids, Mum Lucy on the other hand always treated us with the greatest love and care in the world, you took her away from us for our first few years, you're a monster " Merrill said.
" You are the ruin of our family Daryl, I have desires and ambitions of greatness, but I will not conquer by your side, I will conquer on my own and I know I have the support of all this family " Maril said.
At this time even a silence ends up taking over the house, seeing that the answers were very clear, not friendly, what Daryl already expected from his daughters and their mother, what made her open a smile, starting to laugh of everything as if it was just a random situation, she didn't feel a bit affected by the answers, what was causing a strangeness of the three.
" I expected this response from you, but I guess you three don't have a choice," Cavendish said as he pulled a pistol from his waistband and pointed it at the trio.
" What a coward you are Daryl, you're going to threaten us with a gun " Said Lucy who stood in front of her daughters sort of already starting to make a shield glyph.
" That was just an intimidation factor, either you join me for good, or you will join hell, you know what you will want," said the one with the ponytail pointing the gun.
" Do you think a firearm will be able to stop us? " Said Watson who then released a spell with the glyph that made her drop the gun.
Daryl herself was caught by surprise, mainly because Maril and Merrill decided to go up to the mother, who was defending herself with the gun on the floor, and Lucy took the opportunity to get that pistol herself to take the intimidation from the ex"lover.
Already between the twins they were giving some blows but that were dodged with a great easiness to the point that the mother of the two uses a spell to push them back with everything showing a big smile.
" You really have opted for death," the older Cavendish said.
" We have chosen to stay in peace, leave us alone, your target is not us, we know you want to hit Bernadette and Laura " said the Australian.
" Exactly, you know that already, that's why I want to hit her with the three of you, are you going to give yourselves up for good or for bad? We can still make that alliance " Said the stubborn Scottish lass who received a middle finger from the three witches.
At that moment Daryl snaps her fingers and some witches appear next to her, going up to the three of them that are defending themselves as they can from the spells cast by the three cultists that made sure to show their faces.
Lucy ended up holding herself better, but it was noticeable how the younger ones had more difficulty, Watson soon thinks about using the gun and aims right on the
head of her ex-lover, the bullet stops right on the way near the head of the oldest Cavendish that starts to go up her signaling to the cultist to stop trying to attack her.
" So you really want to kill me? " said the one with the ponytail that was starting to go up in the shape of a huge snake.
Things get harder for Maril and Merrill as the cultists just keep attacking them faster and faster, they keep losing their defenses until they both end up chained and handcuffed to the ground.
On the other hand Lucy was giving it her all against Daryl, but she was soon enveloped by the constrictor, who started to strangle Watson, who did a spell to cool everything down ending up making Cavendish's snake spell weaker and with that the cultist herself managed to sort of get rid of that stranglehold.
" Looks like you can still hold your own in a fight " The Scot said.
" Leave my daughters alone Daryl " Said the Australian, who started to close her eyes summoning the aura of a kangaroo that was starting to go on Cavendish.
She was kind of dodging the attacks, but they were very powerful, while the cultists looked at everything, holding spears to stop the advance of the younger ones, what Daryl was smiling and counter attacked with the aura of a snake biting that kangaroo aura that ended up stopping Watson's attack.
The one who didn't waste time making a glyph on the floor where Cavendish fell on top and by activating a whole wave of magical energy goes hitting the Scottish lass who was starting to scream of pain.
" You never get on me... " On the spot the Australian was taken aback by a kick that came with Daryl beaming behind her and hitting her full on causing her to roll on the floor, which Cavendish then had her wrapped around the body of a snake.
" Oh, you should know the danger you're dealing with Watson," said the ponytailed one.
Lucy was totally trapped amidst the powerful muscles of the snake that kept closing in tighter and tighter, it kept forcing, but it seemed to squeeze tighter, suffocating and crushing the poor woman's body.
" Bloody... You'll pay for this " Said the Australian feeling pain.
" As I said, you have crossed all the barriers, now stay quiet and very well behaved or else I will have to kill you in a slow and painful way," said the Scottish lass.
Daryl asks one of the cultists to start filming everything, just to show Laura and Bernadette what she was going to do, taking a knife in hand, getting close to Lucy, even to the point of dragging the blade across the floor.
" Lucy Watson, you'll be the first, I want to make sure I emphasise to my daughters that they see who their real mother is " Said Cavendish who ran the blade right across Watson's face cutting some of her cheek.
" No! Not Mum! Leave her alone! She doesn't deserve this! No! " They both said crying in despair.
" Lucy has to go, she is a hindrance to both of you, know that I am doing you a favour," said the Scottish lass, running the blade across her other cheek.
Then the snake leaves Lucy's chest kind of exposed ready for the stab that would be definitive, the Australian kind of smiled to her daughters who were desperate for Daryl not to go forward.
She goes over with the knife, but when it's time to go down a shooting noise is heard and well felt on Cavendish's head that releases the knife, even getting to kind of have a fall on the ground.
" Drop that knife Daryl! Leave the Cavendish family alone " Anna said.
" Anna! " Said the girls relieved as Watson got rid of the snake trapping her.
" How wonderful, thank you Anna you saved our lives " Watson said.
" Hahahahahaha, really? So even the maid is in on it? " Said Cavendish who simply took the bullet in her hand with the utmost calmness, healing the part where she was hit.
" I didn't come alone " Signals the housemaid and several lasers are aimed directly at the older Cavendish's chest and forehead, as in the cultists themselves.
" Do you really think we're a bunch of unprepared witches? You are in no position to negotiate, surrender now and we will guarantee you your lives " Watson said.
" Are you protected then? Good to know that, but this is not over yet, I'll still come back one day, this has already served as a message to let you know that I'm back and I won't be so merciful " said Daryl laughing.
" And this is a warning not to mess with the Cavendish family, you are not welcome in this mansion, you are not welcome as a Cavendish, you are a stain on the honour of this family.
" Shall we kill them all? " asked one of the cultists.
" Let them live, let's just get out of here, it's going to be pretty boring for our intimidation plan if we just kill everyone," Daryl said.
The cultists, along with Daryl use a spell to cause a cloud of smoke, just as they disappear in an instant, confusing everyone around, peace returns for a while with the departure of the elder Cavendish, to the relief of all who become calmer, but at the same time tense, since they almost died.
Then Anna is eventually relieved, signalling for the lasers to stop aiming, which she left the gun on the table hugging Lucy and the Cavendish twins who felt better after having survived.
" That was a close one " Maril said.
" I promise I will always protect you " Lucy said.
" Me too, I guarantee that I will always keep them safe," Anna said.
" That damned... How could they have released such a monster, I hope she gets arrested soon " Merrill said.
" By the way, where did you find so many snipers like that? " Watson asks until the housemaid starts to get a laugh.
" Snipers? They were just the butlers of the house with laser pens, we used that to intimidate them all, the good thing is that it worked, hahahaha " Answers Anna.
" Oh that's great Anna, we got them running by being creative, but seriously, we have to be careful, Daryl is more powerful than I imagined, she broke all my strongest spells, I don't know if Laura and Bern together can handle that much, she is a machine full of hate and will come with everything to kill them, not to mention those cultists " said the Australian.
" We have to warn the aunts, they need to know about this," said Merrill, already reaching for her mobile phone.
Merrill went to tell her aunts about her mother's recent attack and all that ended up happening with the near death of the other mother who by Anna's miracle saved them all besides the clever trick of the laser pens that guaranteed an intimidation tactic.
Daryl went away for a while to a place far away from there and soon the cultists were also wondering about that mission and if it really had a valid character.
" I can't believe this is how a witch works " said one of the cultists called Alef.
" You did the right thing, we have to cause fear, they don't know what's coming, they'll be tense and nervous, let's focus on distraction for our main focus " Daryl said.
" You just happen to be going against our cult's guidelines, we didn't stop to talk, the extermination of witches must be done immediately, now they are alert, you just gave them a chance to prepare " Said the furious Alef.
" Stay calm there Alef, they will be tense for another reason, our mission to sweep Luna Nova will still roll on, we have to build their heads up on whatever is needed " Cavendish said.
" I still have my fears, but do as you see fit, know that I still have my doubts, how can a witch like you be someone so reliable to work together? You're just a female," Alef said.
" I've already proven myself useful several times, I know what I'm doing Alef, time will tell that our plan will work out very well, trust me," said the Scottish woman separating herself from the other cultists who were changing their disguises to avoid being discovered.
From there Daryl went to a hotel where Paul booked everything for her to have the luxury she wanted besides playing the plan forward, making sure to send the video of all the bullying with some edits to Laura and Bernadette by an anonymous route.
In Luna Nova, the two older girls got tense since it was right in the middle of class when they saw the message from Merrill and Maril, where then appeared the video that an anonymous sent, they soon executed and went watching that scene.
" Oh, shit! " Said McLaren all tense.
" She just showed up at the house now... Daryl doesn't really care, she nearly killed Lucy while we were away " Cavendish said.
" Aunt Lucy was attacked? " Diana and Hellene said in shock.
" It seems that Daryl is starting to make his attacks, we have to be more alert, you all, we will learn self defense magic from now on, we don't have time to learn basic magic anymore, this place is in danger, the classes will be more geared to prepare us for a possible attack from my sister " Bern said.
" Why do we have to learn to fight just because of your sister? You only put fear in us, wouldn't it be better to have other plans too? " Chloé asks.
" Well, we will also think of escape plans, besides plans for distraction everything will count for our survival " Croix said.
" Whatever help you have we will do, we have to prevent as much as possible the worst from happening," said Chariot.
" I just don't understand why all this? Is she that dangerous? I saw the whole story and all I saw was a jealous witch, she didn't even get to commit a crime as heinous as Margaret ever did, she only practically caused you guys a lot, but she never expressly killed or caused destruction, just a curse," Chloé said.
" She's capable of it Chloé Deppailer, we've both lived with her for years, do you really want to know more than we do? " said Laura.
" Anyway, let's prepare ourselves, because it could be any moment that this curse could strike, we can't just sit here waiting for the worst, who knows what could happen in Luna Nova if we get distracted like this " said Chariot.
" And to think I never expected things to escalate this much, I thought it was just a mere holiday camp and now here I am, fighting another witch who wants to kill us... " Akko said.
" I also had no idea that the orphanage was going to be all this kind of thing, now I am afraid even to wake up," Marianne said.
" No need to be afraid love, I'm here to protect you from those bastards " Hellene said.
From there they sort of go on with the class normally, only that the teachings start to be about vital points, where to hit a spell to be able to immobilize another person and thus manage to escape from a situation where the worst could happen, in several ways that were being demonstrated by the board, even some demonstrations with Bernadette and Laura fighting each other, showing the blows and their efficiency, how even a weak witch can have chances if she knows where to hit.
Daryl starts her wave of terror, already showing that he didn't come to play, intimidating her family that almost ends up having a tragic end, but luckily they were saved by Anna's hands, a tension that is already being created on top of Cavendish that is renting a triplex on Laura and Bernadette's head.
