After Daryl's attack at Cavendish mansion that almost resulted in worse things that could happen to Lucy Watson, Maril and Merrill, but because of Anna's cleverness things were less worse once she managed to intimidate the cultists and Cavendish herself with lasers pointed at her. It was clear even then that the cultists themselves had the ability to kill anyone nearby if they wanted to, but the orders given by the Scottish woman were contrary to that.
In Luna Nova, the news about this also arrived and were a warning for Chariot not to hide more about what Luna Nova once was, so much that she decides to make a speech on the next day to make it clear about the history of that place, after 19 years hiding the past, the day will come when everything will come out and the obscure past of the orphanage will be told by the Du Nord.
The day was like any other day in Luna Nova, with Chariot already making a point to call all the girls to gather in the main courtyard at two o'clock in the afternoon for the definitive announcement, making a point to emphasize that, all the time communicating.
The magic classes that day were kind of suspended for the 39 girls that already knew what was going to happen so they also warned the others about how important their presence would be.
The hours were passing in the morning all were practically warned, even the ones that were sleeping would be warned later about the announcement that Chariot wanted to make, since that could be the definitive point of their lives.
When two o'clock
came, they were all lined up in the middle of the main yard, and on the stage were Chariot, Croix, Laura and Bernadette, who are the main connections with the past of the orphanage.
" A good morning to you all, I appreciate you all coming because I will need to announce something super important, more than my identity being revealed a few weeks ago when the summer started, the past of this place, this is very important for you to know as many of you will be moving on with your own adult lives once this summer is over... I will miss you all, I feel grateful that I was able to help you " Du Nord said into the microphone until Meridies came along as well.
" We grew up together all these years, we could live many good things, you are a hope for a new world, know that you are much more important than you think you are, it's not the lack of a family that makes you smaller than you are... After all I didn't have one either when I stopped here before you, I lost mine, just like Chariot, we came here in honour of Miranda Holbrooke who ensured our protection in the beginning, I know that many of you came after her departure, but I hope you can understand the truth " Said the Italian giving way to McLaren.
All the girls were a bit confused by the speeches of the two and were even more so when McLaren walked up the aisle watching all those faces full of hope, full of thoughts, she took a deep breath and put her words out.
" Well, you may only know me as Diana and Hellene's mother, or Bernadette Cavendish's wife, but I also carry the history of this place as does my wife, and I imagine you are very confused, wondering what these women are talking about? What do they want at this hour? Well, I'll be very direct, Luna Nova was a witchcraft academy... That is until the year 1999, when all of you were not born, that was the year that all of this came to be as it is today, there are witch cultists who persecute us wanting our extermination and that is why we have hidden our origins for so many years? You are daughters, sisters, granddaughters, nieces, or any other kinship that you should have with a witch, you lost your families to persecution by these evil cultists, you are survivors of this massacre, me, Bern, Chariot, Croix, we went house by house behind you to save you, how many we lost on the way ... How many who were extremely wounded and we were able to save their lives... There were horrible scenes, children who lost their family and had no one, some of them we had to go through the longest legal process to transfer here for adoption, but in the end we were able to guarantee comfort and a home, as well as saving those who might die too... You are all witches," Laura said, causing even more confusion, and with that she passed it on to her wife.
" I know that your little heads are confused now, but we also have to say that some of you have known for a long time, they will be the ones who can guide you to a more peaceful life, magic will no longer be persecuted, we have to fight these cultists and protect ourselves from their evil, we will not stand here and bow our heads, so I tell you that these dark times will change, all of you are safe with us, always know this and never forget to keep in touch with us in case anything can happen, be happy, build your family, do not erase the glorious past that your families carried " Bernadette said giving a beautiful speech to all of you.
The girls were kind of in shock, talking to each other, it was a kind of shock, since they had no idea that it could be real, even more a revelation of that size, but the Irish witch in front of everybody starts to use her magic and reveals right in front how all that is real, by releasing several effects, just like her wife, which clarifies everything even more.
The spells kind of enchant everyone until, on stage, things change, the dressing of the two older girls looks like a school uniform and with that the witch herself takes the microphone.
" Allow me to show you that that was Luna Nova's past " McLaren said.
Croix and Chariot changed into magic teacher's clothes, and there began an act between them to see what the days were like, which amazed the girls even more, as they noticed how it was all possible, even more so with the narration of the Irish girl herself about what the past was like.
" 30 years ago, me and Bernadette used to stay in this place, we were both students of Luna Nova, we met here, having a whole vision of the future in mind, as witches, we wanted things to change... Unfortunately the witches themselves were very backward, which made the public's idea of magic to be something dated, which is not true, magic could be something very current and still modern, such as the future ... We dedicated years and years with our friends, to plan what would be the revolution of magic, but something ended up happening... " Said Laura as the whole vision of a place all sunny and not at all abandoned changed to one that became darker.
Croix and Chariot change their appearance to cultists, just as the background place became what looked like an office, they went about starting to attack Laura and Bernadette who were looking normal. They
then change to another where it was the attempt of the two in trying to prevent the progress of the cultists by counter attacking that base, but unfortunately nothing ended up working out.
" I lost friends, many of them, some even your mothers, it was all or nothing, those cultists were very well armed and also prepared for that, as if they knew of our presence, it ended up that only a few of us survived, escaping from there and going to our homes " said the redhead.
" In that time we were attacked a few times, but we always defended ourselves from possible massacres, just like other families, they were starting a plan to wipe all witches out of existence, what we were left with was a safe place, which was turned into an orphanage for safety... Luna Nova " Complements the one with platinum hair.
They go on showing some scenes of how the rescues of the children who suffered at the hands of the cultists were carried out, and how each one of them could get a home. With a lot of battle, each one of them was saved, all because they had the blood of a witch, who luckily won a second chance to start life anew in the secret orphanage of Luna Nova, which the cultists do not know until today that that place has people, thinking that it is only an abandoned academy of witchcraft.
" So that's what caused you to be here, we were attacked by cultist witches," Laura said, until one of the girls raised her hand.
" And what are we going to do from now on? " Green Question.
" You can choose where to stay, I assure you that if you want to stay here it is safe too, we will house you for as long as you need, I know some of you are already 18 and some of you will be, but don't worry about that, you will stay where you want to stay, the world out there can be dangerous, but don't stop contacting us, we are powerful witches, we can handle it," said Laura demonstrating a spell to the girls.
They were amazed by the whole story, such as the demonstration of magic, which was all true in the end, being released right in front of them, revealing how the orphanage was a façade, as they were talking to each other, which some of them raise their hands to know a little more.
" Why haven't you ever taught us magic? " Chloé asks.
" Chloé, you started to learn at the beginning of the month, but yes we can explain, it's because of the presence that magic causes, too many people learning magic simultaneously can attract the radar of those cultists, that's why we always teach a few that are chosen, and without forcing too much, but who wants to be interested in magic classes, we can do it.
" You said you know everything about us, so does that mean you know some living relative, in case any of us want to stay with that relative, would you let us go stay with that relative? " asks the blonde.
" Why not? But it's quite rare to find a living relative of yours, because you were very young, they killed your parents and many of the survivors were because your relatives let you escape and survive... But we can pull to find if you want " Croix said and Chloé again makes a point of asking again.
" They could have told us about our past before, they've kept it from us for so long... Why are you all so on their side? " asks Deppailer.
" Despite everything, they had no other way out Chloé, yes it could be a better suggestion, but when there are too many of them, when you have no more control, it was what you could do and people now we know that we are witches, we know that we can perform magic, let's use this to have our lives, look what Croix and Chariot did for all of us, they saved us from being killed, they took care of us all our lives and for me I'm with them even in this revolution! " Said Sarah who raised her fist pointing to the stage.
" I am too! I grew up in this place and knowing that I'm a witch is really cool, we can get even better, have a better future for our children! " said Amanda raising her hand too.
" In the end the truth will always prevail, we have to fight to get our place! " said Diana who went along for the ride.
" We can win this battle, we can get this trophy, this victory will be ours! Let's fight these cultists together and bring magic back to glory! " Said Hellene who ended up leading more of the girls.
Even Chloé raised her fist, all of them were pointing at the stage with closed fists, the revolution of magic was more than a certainty, which even thrilled Chariot and Croix, who teared up, and then one of them went to the stage where she took the microphone, it was Akko.
" I know I've been here for less time than all of you, but I feel like I've been here for years, like I've been part of all these people forever, I want to see everything change, I have the hope that together, all of us can be a force, we can prepare ourselves to stand up to these cultists, I am grateful to these two for giving me the security I needed when I was attacked by Margaret, I am grateful for having known all of you and for the witch I will become.
" I am speechless for how I received this support, I am sorry for having kept for all these years about your reality, the few who did not like the news, you are free to follow your ways, I will always be taking care of each one as if they were my several daughters, I was also one of these victims, I know how painful it is to live without a family, even more knowing and seeing everything from the front, it was traumatic for me and this moved me so that no other girl would go through the same, so that those who did would have the chance to live in a home, in a place where they will receive all the love in the world and I say from the heart... I love you all," said the Frenchwoman, wiping her tears.
" I love you too girls, you were special to all of us, we can't even describe how grateful we feel for all this support, we will have a celebration next week, because this is an important event, it deserves more attention " said the Italian to all of them that are celebrating even more.
" Well, this was the important announcement I wanted to give you, I hope you feel more relieved to know more of the truth about this place, about your past, you can ask us about your past and how you were rescued, we know how to answer", said Chariot, who then walked off the stage, where all the girls kind of cheered her presence.
From there they all kind of spread around the orphanage, the thirteen main ones kind of stuck together there to talk about how everything went well, the revelation was not as badly received as they thought it might be.
" In the end everything went well, they received the news better than us " said Diana.
" Ah but it was because there were more people, apart from the fact that the presentation was prettier, we saw the real cruel part, we saw the deaths and the blood, everything that went through your mother's head " Akko said.
" When images are shocking we tend to react with more shock, apart from that we were furious, sis," said Hellene.
" I just hope things get better from here on out, ever since we got that book of magic and trained the spells it was like a whole world revealed in front of us... Remember these, love," Marianne said.
" How can I forget... It was one of the most unforgettable moments of last summer... That was the awakening of my feelings for you too... " Said the younger McLaren.
" Oh yes when we almost had sex in the tent didn't we? " said Leclerc, who put his hand on his head, showing his tongue.
" I'm glad I didn't, it was very uncomfortable there " said the redhead laughing.
Akko and Diana half nod their heads, then walk to the balcony of Luna Nova, half holding hands through the corridors. Once there they climb up to the roof, where they watch the cloudy skies and the passing clouds, enchanted by the wonders of Luna Nova.
" I think we can complete what we couldn't complete last summer. What did you say you felt for me Akko? " Ask Cavendish.
" I wanted to say that day that... I love you Diana " Said Kagari who felt her girlfriend's hand on her face.
" Me too my love, me too... " Said the Scottish lass who then burst out laughing as she remembered that moment.
" To think that last year we almost started dating, but we were interrupted just in time when they called us... It's a pity, but at least now everything is clearer... Our talk about these tiles is hard, how did we get the idea of lying on this thing " said the Japanese, making her girlfriend laugh.
" Ah Akko, we were so silly, we still are a little bit, I feel better for having met you, for having lived this summer by your side, you are special to me Atsuko Kagari... I always wanted to live like my mothers lived together, they were always my inspiration and having you was what made me realize this dream, they always told us the messes they made together, especially Laura mother " Said the one with platinum hair.
" My mothers also inspired me a lot, mother Morgana was just like your mother Laura, she is still very much so, she is always up to mischief, causing trouble, she is all fun, I am sure our mothers would be much better friends " Said the brownish girl who then lay on top of Diana's body.
The two stayed for a good few minutes having that romantic moment on the rooftops, watching the clouds talking to each other about whatever, to pass the time, to live that romance that followed in kisses, but that ended up making them leave because of the discomfort of the tiles not being the most comfortable place in the world to hold onto.
The news arrived in Luna Nova, Chariot decided to take the courage to announce everything, surprising even by the reaction of the girls, much to the fact that they love Du Nord, for everything she has done, for all the help, for all the support, being another vital help for the revolution of magic that can happen.
