Within the village, Wartwood of Frog Valley, near the Plantar Farm Sprig was hanging out with his human friend Anne. Having been here for a while now she had gone through some changes. Besides wearing a periwinkle-colored shirt, beige pants, and black boots, Boonchuy was slightly but noticeably different in appearance. She was taller than before standing at 6'7 and has a vertical scar on her left eyelid with the eye all white. They were currently outside, sitting on a couple of large rocks and conversing.

"You guys have Prank Wars?" Anne pointed at Sprig with a raised brow, gaining a nod from the Plantar. "Yep! Ever since Polly started to speak, we would start pranking each other starting this day until one of us gives up." Anne looked amazed at first but then became a bit curious and was about to ask a question, which Sprig noticed. "It only lasts for about a month, no longer than that." He confirmed, telling her. "If neither of us gives up, we just call it even and wait until next year."

Anne felt relieved to hear that, she's heard of prank wars before, back on Earth. Some went well, some went overboard, and others just never stopped. After this was confirmed, Sprig tells her. "I wanted to know if you would like to join us in the Prank War. You know, make it more fun and challenging." After he finished, Anne began to hum to herself. On one hand, they could go a little too far with this Prank War...But on the other hand, pranking each other sounds good to do right now. "That does sound like fun." Thought Anne as with a smile, she looked at Sprig and gave a single nod. "I'll join in on it...But we should get a 4th member. Make things even and play two against two."

"Ok, but it might be tough. Everyone beside us and Polly is either busy or uninterested in playing. Trust me, I've asked." Sprig pointed to himself, recalling how many "No's" and "I'm busy's" he got as an answer. Anne shook her head. "Well, not everyone. I think I know someone who'll give this a try." She got up and ran off with a smile to get the 4th player.

Seconds Later

Inside the big grand camper that's parked not far from the Plantar Farm, Anne was talking to Olivia about the Prank War. The newt's wearing a purple shirt and blue pants, sitting on a chair with a book in her hands, reading before Boonchuy arrived. "So I agreed to join, but to make it even, I suggested we needed a 4th player...And I was wondering if you'd like to join too."

"Join an activity of pranking for a month?" Olivia questioned, getting a nod from Anne. "Yeah, just the two of us against Sprig and Polly." After she finished, Olivia hummed unsurely and spoke. "I don't know Anne...I've never participated in it before." Anne sighed. "Oh, come on Olivia, give it a chance." She asked with a grin, telling her. "It'll be fun..." She leaned in, making the newt blush a little. "And I'll help you learn how to prank." Anne finished, offering to help

Olivia still looked uncertain. "It's nice that you're willing to teach me, but what if it's dangerous?" She asked, telling Anne. "I've witnessed and heard of antics that left numerous in casts and without body parts...Most of which were bystanders." Boonchuy assures her. "It's not going to be dangerous. Besides, it's just Sprig and Polly, they wouldn't put their lives at risk to win some Prank War, and neither will we." Olivia thought to herself if there could be anything else that could go wrong with the Prank War, but she couldn't.

"Come on Olivia. We'll be ok along with everyone else here. We'll keep the pranks decent, we won't go too far with them, and we'll make sure nothing goes wrong...Trust me." When Anne finished, Olivia began to have second thoughts, thinking to herself before coming to a conclusion with a sigh in thought. "Well...I guess it wouldn't hurt to give it a try." Closing her book, she gets up from her seat. "Ok, I'm convinced." Anne gasped happily as Olivia heads over to the exit of the camper and looks up at her with a smile. "Lead the way." With a nod, Boonchuy goes out the exit first, holding the newt's hand as they go to where Sprig and Polly are waiting.

The Plantars' House

Upon reaching the house Anne and Olivia were sitting on the couch looking at Sprig and Polly. After telling them they wanted in on the Prank War the two Plantars began breaking down the rules they made for the Prank War to avoid any mishaps that could get them in trouble and others harmed.

"Ok, so Rule #1 of the Prank War: Only prank those that are participating. Which are you two, Polly, and...Me." Sprig pointed a thumb to himself, getting a nod from his little sister who then told Anne and Olivia. "Rule #2: Do not prank outside the village. We all know what's out there. And we don't need any of it coming here." They knew what Polly was talking about, they'd encountered many dangers. It's best to avoid having any come here.

Clearing his throat Sprig announces. "And Rule #3: Do not use anything fatal for the pranks that could lead to severe damage such as cuts, fractures, and degree burns." The thought of the last one was enough to send shivers down their spines. Shaking it off, Polly tells them. "And for Prank War Rule #4: Do not vandalize your partners' setup. Not only would you ruin the point of Prank War, but you'd also be betraying your ally."

"We don't have to worry about that." Anne looked at Olivia who nodded in agreement. They were very familiar with working together as a team, knowing what to do and what not to do. "Are those all the rules we need to follow?" Olivia asked in curiosity alongside Anne as they kept their gaze on Polly and Sprig. "There's one more left. Rule #5..." The Sprig pointed out, letting Polly finish the sentence. "Always, aid, your, partner."

Sprig nods, telling them. "There's going to be pranks that'll probably be impossible for us to escape on our own." Polly agrees. "Yeah. The last time we got trapped in our pranks, we had to have Hop Pop get us out, and it took hours." Sprig tells the two while shaking his head. "You don't want to know how it feels being upside down for that long."

"That won't be another thing to worry about." Stated Olivia, she and Anne help out each other a lot and they don't take time to do so. "Ok, so that all the rules are explained we can begin the Prank War, starting..." Sprig paused, his gaze focused on the floor where the light shined from one of the windows. The others began looking as well, but Anne and Olivia were left confused. "Why are they staring at the light?" The newt asked, getting a shrug from Boonchuy.

Just as the light made the shadow of the window symmetrical, Sprig announced. "Now!" With that he and Polly head off to their rooms to prepare, surprising the two. "Hey, no fair!" Anne shouted, never told about the time for it. "Follow me, Olivia." She holds Olivia's hand and leads her down to the basement as she asked. "Why did we come here?" She asked curiously to which Anne answered while looking for something. "There's some stuff I have we can use for our pranks against Sprig and Polly." She lifted the mattress and smiled.

"Ah-ha found it!" Anne picks it up, revealing it to be her backpack. Putting it on her back she tells Olivia with a grin as she goes back to the steps. "Now let's go to the camper-" Olivia notices something and cuts her off. "Anne wait!" Unfortunately, it was too late, upon reaching the top Anne stepped on an invisible string, causing a bucket to fall right on top of her.

Drenched with slightly slimy water, Anne stood stunned for a moment before recognizing the bucket she removed from her head. "Augh Polly!" She exclaimed in disgust as Polly and Sprig can be heard laughing, witnessing the prank before fleeing. "Are you ok?" Olivia asked with a bit of concern, which Anne answered. "I'm better than ok." She looked at her with a smile, suggesting her. "Let's get back at them." With that, they head back to the camper.

Seconds Later

Inside Anne and Olivia were at a table as the prior was taking out stuff from her backpack or belongings in the camper that she got around here or back on Earth. Things like safety glue, clear tape, leaves, spare clothes, feathers, a jar of honey, and even a horn. "Perfect! We can prank them with this stuff." Said Anne as she began to sort what they can make, already picking out three of the items. "We're going to use glue, animal feathers, leaves, and...What's this?" Olivia asked with a raised brow, picking up the horn.

"Oh, it's a horn...I got it from a creature that tried to eat me a couple of weeks ago." Answered Anne. "I beat it, it fled, and left its horn behind so...I took it." When she finished, Olivia noticed a small hole at the tip of the horn and tapped, finding out it was slightly hollow. "And you made it into the instrument of the exact name." Anne shook her head. "Not really...Instead of music, I designed it to sound like a predator...But don't blow into it just yet. I didn't tell the others about it."

Olivia placed the horn back on the table, allowing Anne to examine it along with the leaves before looking at the feathers and glue. "Ok, this should do." Looking up at the newt, Anne grinned. "Are you ready to learn?" Olivia smiled at her. "Yes." She answered with a nod. "I'm ready." Anne smiled and picks up the items they'll use, for now. "Perfect! Follow me!" She stands up and goes to the door with Olivia following her.

Later

Near the entrance of the Plantar home, Anne was holding the bucket from earlier, handing it to Olivia who was on top of the red wooden canopy. After she grabbed it, Anne asked. "Remember, wait until you see them." Olivia nods, sitting near the edge with the bucket as Boonchuy knocked on the door saying in a gruff tone. "Special Delivery for Sprig!" She quickly got out of sight, looking up at the newt as she places a finger on her lip, signaling to be quiet. The door opened up, revealing Sprig who ran out, looking thrilled. "For me?!"

"Sprig!" Polly called only to witness her bucket landing right on top of her brother, which coated him in glue and feathers. "Oh, my bucket." She noticed as Sprig stood frozen in place, both hearing Anne and Olivia laughing or giggling after pulling the prank before leaving the scene. Looking at Boonchuy, Olivia stopped giggling and told her. "Ok, that was pretty fun." Anne smiled, looking back at her. "Told you it was gonna be fun."

Once they were gone, Polly hopped over to her bucket and looks inside to see the glue and a few feathers. "Hopefully this washes out." She looks up at Sprig as he wipes the glue from his face, now looking like a chicken with a reddish beak. "Ok...This, means, war!" He declared, shaking his fist to Anne and Olivia, earning an unamused look from Polly. "We're already at war." She pointed out. They call it a Prank War for a reason.

"I know, but I always wanted to say that." Said Sprig, making Polly roll her eyes as he tells her. "Now let's get back at them..." He paused and looks at the feathers and glue covering his body. "After I wash up." With that, Sprig heads back inside as Polly shrugs. "And after I wash out my bucket." She hops back inside as well with her bucket.

Prank War Montage

After both had finished what they were doing, they prepared to make more pranks against each other. Exiting the camper, Anne and Olivia made their way to Leopold Loggle's to get supplies for pranks. Without awareness, the latter ended up falling into a ditch covered with grass and leaves. This shocked Anne who immediately reached into the ditch to help the newt out of it. Not far from them, Sprig watched the scene unfold and chuckled.

The Next Day

Sometime after, Polly was back in her bucket soaking in water, reading a book on traps, specifically traps that're the best used for pranks. "Oh, that could be good." She was looking at a drawn picture of a net on the ground attached to a tree with a rope and a large rock. Before she could flip the page, she heard tapping. "Hm?" Looking in the direction of the sound Polly saw the silhouette of a sharp finger tapping the window. Suddenly the face of a hairy beast appeared in the window.

"ROOOOAAARR!" Its mouth opened wide revealing razor-sharp teeth to Polly. "AAHHH!" She screamed with the book flying out of her hands. Her scream was enough to make the beast abruptly fall apart, revealing to be leaves and sticks. "Huh?" Polly noticed this and saw Anne standing behind a large stick that held up the fake beast with the horn in one hand. She chuckled a little before fleeing with the small Plantar shouting. "You're gonna pay for this!" She picks up the book and flips through the pages quickly.

Hours Later

Returning to the camper after getting something to eat from GRUB & GO, Anne and Olivia approached the entrance and were about to open the door when Anne thought of something. "Wait." Olivia stops and looked at her as she tells her. "I'll go first." Knowing Anne can take whatever could be inside, Olivia nods. She watched as Boonchuy reaches the door slowly, getting a grip on it, she carefully moved it until it was opened completely and looked inside. "Phew..." Suddenly Anne and Olivia were hit with a burlap bag, which burst open into a cloud of yellow. This made the two begin coughing before suddenly sneezing drastically. "Pollen!" Olivia stated before sneezing again.

Days Later

"Why do we need to make a net?" Sprig asked, carrying the material to make one as he followed Polly as they leave Leopold Loggle's. "I already told you it's for..." When they got to the bridge there was a sudden groan coming from below them. They looked around and saw that the bridge was green and...Soft? Looking over it, Sprig spotted the wooden bridge. "W-When did they install a new bri-" Suddenly the green bridge fell apart, making them fall right into the water right below. Looking at the remains of the 2nd bridge, Polly exclaimed. "Lily pads!"

Oncoming Weeks

Throughout Wartwood for nearly a whole month, Anne and Olivia, along with Sprig and Polly kept the Prank War almost nonstop. Day by day each of their pranks on each other triumphs with no repercussions. Anne had a blindfold glued around her eyes, making her run into walls, tables, doors, and trees throughout the village. Sprig's mouth caught fire after his drink was laced with pepper juice. Olivia was left itchy all over her body, finding out that poison ivy leaves were put in her bed. And Polly was left dizzy after rolling down a temporary ramp lathered in oil and set on the stairs in the house.

The Next Day

"Yes! It's finally almost finished!" Polly cheered as she and Sprig were setting up what looked like the trap that was in the book she was looking at. The net was lying on the ground with a rope attached to it and a large branch of an equally large tree near their home. Currently, Sprig's attempting to secure the branch with another rope he's tying to a large rock to keep it down. "Almost...Got it..." He then ties the rope and lets go, walking back carefully not to disturb the knot he made.

With a smile, Sprig exclaimed happily. "There!" He walks back to the net, which Polly notices and gasped. "Stop you're going to set it off!" She hops to him in a panic to stop him. Unfortunately at the same time, they ended up touching the net. The sudden yet slight shift in movement caused the knot to break, setting the trap off. The net picked up the two, but instead of leaving them hanging, it launched them far into the air, screaming.

Meanwhile

In the water near the Farm, Olivia and Anne were on a large lily pad. They were painting what looks to be two pieces of wood with a blue dye to look like shark fins, preparing to soon scare Sprig and Polly. "How's yours?" Olivia asked curiously, which Anne presented. "Looking like a fin." As they continue to paint they began to hear something from afar.

"Uh...Do you hear that?" Anne asked Olivia, who nodded as the noise grew closer. Looking up they see Sprig and Polly heading right toward them at full speed. The two began to scream before both of the duo were silenced by the impact. It seemed they had sunk into the water, but in seconds the net along with the lily pad floated back up, revealing the four under the net. Their eyes were shut for a moment before opening them to see each other unharmed from the impact.

They also noticed how sleep deprived and messy they are. They're covered in almost everything that they'd used on each other since the beginning of the Prank War. Bags under their eyes showed signs that they haven't gotten enough sleep because of their pranks. After taking a good look at one another, the four realized they've gone a bit too far with the pranks, considering this one almost killed them. With silence only present, Olivia decided to break it. "Should...Should we just call this a draw?" This surprised the two Plantars.

"We kept besting each other...No matter how many times we try altering our pranks and luring one another into them, it ends in a tie." Anne clarified, to which Olivia nods and adds. "Besides that, we're exhausted...It was fun when we started...But now it's just dull to do." She lays on the lily pad, getting patted on the back by Anne. Looking at each other Sprig and Polly, seeing themselves in the same state as the two, knew they were right. "We did take it too far..." Polly nods to her brother, knowing it was true.

Facing their rivals, they held out their hands and shook the others. "It's officially the end of the Prank War." Announced Polly as the four soon got out of the net trap and soon returned to Plantar Farm, ready to just go to their rooms, lay down, and just rest after what they'd done for the month. When they got there with Sprig and Polly going inside their house, Anne and Olivia went inside the camper.

"Bed, oh how we missed you." Said Anne as Olivia checked it and sighed happily. "Poison Ivy free." The two didn't take the time to get into the bed and lay their heads right on the pillows. Facing each other they smiled sleepily. "Now it's just us." Said Anne as Olivia nodded. "You and me." After she finished, the two then went in and kissed each other on the lip, lasting a minute before departing. Right after departing their kiss, Olivia and Anne had fallen asleep, however, their arms and legs remained wrapped around each other. They were cuddling, refusing to let go or to move as Olivia's tail wrapped around Anne with care.
