"Princess Corrin is missing!"

"Lock down the castle! Search every room!"

The Nohr guards are running around Northern Fortress, searching for the missing princess. Unknown to them, a man is riding away from the castle on a horse. He is whispering to two crying children that are in front of him on the saddle to calm them. "It is okay Milady. We are getting you far away from here."

"F-father."

"Silas, promise me that you will protect Princess Corrin with your life. She needs a friend now that she is free." The knight begs his son. He looks behind himself to see the lights getting dimmer.

"I promise father."

"No!" Princess Corrin shouts which shock Silas. "I don't want to lose you! I am your princess so you are my knight and I order you to stay with me and not die!"

Silas is blushing from the declaration while his father can't help but chuckle. "You heard it, Silas. Her word is greater than mine."

His horse is pretty far away from the castle. Now he just needs to cross the Hoshido border. The knight was shocked to find out Corrin wasn't the king's biological father but in fact, a child he kidnapped from Hoshido. Once he was assigned to the castle the princess was being held, he knew he had to free her and take her back to her real family. Nohr isn't kind to children, especially royalty. The concubines of King Garon fight for his favor and use their own children as pawns. It would only be a matter of time until one of them decides to get rid of Corrin due to seeing the poor child as competition. So here the knight rides, with the princess he took and his son who wants to protect her as well.

They ride for hours until the knight can see the border to Hoshido, which is over a cliff. He smiles that they are safe until an arrow strikes his back. This causes him to shout in pain and fall off the horse. Nohr knights are coming out with lanterns and get closer.

"Father!" Silas shouts as he grabs the reins and tries to get the horse to turn around.

"Keep going Silas! Protect her and get to the Hoshido capital!" The knight orders his son to not turn. Those children must escape to safety. Following the orders, Silas continues the ride when Corrin turns to look at her savior getting up and charging towards the Nohr calvary. One of them takes out a bow and fires an arrow at the fleeing children. Corrin launches a fireball and hits it but the flames harm the horse's backside as well. This causes the horse to stop suddenly which launches the children off it's saddle and falls off the cliff.

"NO!" The knight shouts seeing his son and the princess he tried to save appeared to fall to their deaths. The Nohr knights dismount and grab the kidnapper while the captain of the calvary grabs the archer and punches him in the face.

"The king wanted the princess kept in captive! Why did you kill her?"

"P-princess Camilla's mother paid me to eliminate her." The archer knight answers with blood coming out of his nose. The Nohr captain slays this fool for disobeying their king. The knights take the kidnapper captive to take him back to the capital for execution. However, as the knight is being tied, he prays to the Dusk Dragon.

'Please Dusk Dragon, please assist my son Silas and Princess Corrin. Give them a home where they can be happy.'

Corrin and Silas wake up when something is licking their noses. Corrin opens her eyes to see a little lizard with a tail on fire sitting next to her. "Char! Char!"

"So cute!" Corrin suddenly grabs the orange lizard to give a big hug. He gladly returns it as they all get up only for Silas to notice that they are in a forest.

"Where are we?" The little knight wonders as Corrin looks around and points at something coming at them. A donkey comes out and looks up and down at Silas. It then blows it's nose.

"Mudbray." Is all the donkey says and keeps walking. This makes Corrin curious as she puts her new friend down and walks with the donkey, with the lizard by her side.

"I think he wants us to follow him. Come on Silas." Corrin believes and keeps walking with Silas following them. They eventually make it outside the forest and can see a city from a distance. At the road to the city, a sign can be seen and Corrin and Silas read it out loud.

"1 mile to Opelucid City."

(12 years later)

Congratulations graduates!" The headmaster smiles at the new graduates of Opelucid Academy. These children will soon go with their Pokemon companions for their adventure on Unova. "Please welcome the speakers of your graduation: The Dragon Gym Leader Drayden and Elite Four Member Silas!"

Opelucid's own trainer and husband of the Champion come up the stand and both smile at the graduates, who are clapping at the two legends. Drayden is the first to speak. "Congratulations students. With the lessons we have shown you, we hope to see you help yourself and the Pokemon you come across. There are those that see your love for your Pokemon as servitude but I can see that the bonds you make will be those of affection."

Drayden steps away and Silas comes forward. Gone is the child and now a knight in dark armor. "Thank you, Drayden. My wife is no doubt excited for you future challengers. Of course, you must go through her knight to do so but I welcome all of you to try."

The students laugh at his joke and so Silas announces the graduates. They get to the two last graduates but neither show up. The headmaster is nervous and looks for them. A teacher goes to the headmaster and whispers in his ear. His shouting is heard by everyone from the graduates and their parents to the two trainers. With Silas sighing with a smile.

"What do you mean Kana and Iris has done a runner!?"

Two kids are riding vines in a forest next to the Pokemon School of Opelucid City. One is a barefoot boy in a white jacket and blue shorts. Under the jacket is a white shirt with the words DRAGON on the chest. Another is a girl in a cream long-sleeved shirt with pink secondary colors and white pants with pink shoes. Both of them are laughing as they swing through the forest, using the vines. Iris' hair moves by itself and Axew pops out of it to get a better view.

"Axew!" The little dragon cheers which has Iris laughing.

"Come on kid! Try to keep up!"

Kana is keeping up with his best friend. "Hey, I'm only a year younger than you!"

They swing up in the air but one of the vines that Kana was holding on to snaps and he falls off.

"Kana!" She looks behind her and is about to let go to save him when a man riding a Mudsdale catches Kana. He sighs with relieve and looks at his savior.

"Thank you for- F-father!" He shouts in shock once he realizes his savior is his dad, Silas. Iris lands next to them and blushes seeing that they have been caught. Silas sighs but still as a smile at his son and his best friend.

"You kids..."

Silas and the children are sitting at a picnic table just next to Route 9. "You mind telling me why you both decided to skip your graduation?"

Kana is about to say something but Iris interrupts him. "Blame me sir. I convince Kana that we should go on our Pokemon journey early."

"What?! No! Father, I was the one that said we should skip it. I'm the one in the wrong"

The Elite 4 member can't tell who is lying but it warms his heart to know that they will defend eachother.

"It's good to know you have eachother. Together, you will complete your journey rather quickly." Silas said and they smile. Though they left, being a trainer is a desire to go an adventure and they have it down. That is when Silas notices his son still looks sad. He asks what is wrong.

"Was mother there?" That question realizes why Kana wanted to leave the graduation. Unova's Champion Corrin made quite the splash when she defeated the previous champion, Alder. However, the responsibilities have caused Corrin to barely come back home and Kana misses his mother.

"I'm sorry son but she is dealing with a dangerous situation." Silas tries to explain for his wife. Kana accepts this but still wants to see her. Seeing him down, the Elite 4 member decides to give something to his son and Iris. "But she wanted to give you these for your Pokemon journey."

Silas hands both of them a Pokeball. Iris throws her first and a shark with legs comes out.

"Gible!" The Land Shark waddles to Iris, who picks him up and hugs him.

"You are such an awesome dragon! Welcome to the team!"

Kana looks at the interaction and is excited to meet his new partner and friend. He throws it and a tiny Sea Otter comes out, holding a scallop shell in his paws.

"Osha! Oshawott!"

"Yes! This is amazing." He high-fives his new Pokemon partner. "Iris! We should go get everything ready for our adventure."

"You are right! I think Professor Juniper is visiting."

They run towards the city. Though Kana hugs Silas first, which he returns and rejoins his best friend. Silas watches them run and sighs. He thinks of his wife and hopes she is okay. After all, Team Plasma may seem like a peaceful group, there has been evidence of misdeeds. Her investigation into them may lead her into trouble.

Unova Champion Corrin is sitting on a Ferris wheel ride. No longer is the helpless princess, now she is in gray armor with blue undertones and black pants. Beside her is a helmet that resembles a dragon. She made sure to base her clothing off of a Wyvern Knight from her old home. She knows she missed the graduation but hopefully, she can make it to see her son take his journey. 'After this mission, I'm coming home Kana.'

"Thank you for inviting me to this ride. I love Ferris Wheels. Such a great design. However, you wished to talk, correct Champion Corrin?" That calm voice has her stop looking out Nimbasa City and look at the man with wild green hair. Corrin has been investigating this King of Team Plasma and now wants to judge him personally.

"That is correct N. I simply wish to talk."
