Padme and Anakin began to fly through the air. But they didn't go alone. Jar Jar rode on Padme's back, while Obi-Wan rode on Anakin's.

"We'll be there in no time." said Obi-Wan.

The two pegasi flew until their wings needed a rest. Luckily, there happened to be a boat headed right to where they needed to go. So, they landed there and hitched a ride.

Obi-Wan kept a hood up so no one would recognize him. And luckily, people thought Jar Jar was just someone in a costume for the Starry Grand parade. As luck would have it, there was a jazz band there in need of a trumpet player. Once they heard the gungan playing, they couldn't deny he was perfect for the role.

Obi-Wan found some fresh water for Anakin to drink and picked him up a carrot.

Anakin sighed. He had so many emotions running through him at once.

"Obi-Wan. Why can't I tell her?" said Anakin. "Why is it so hard for me to just look her in the eye and say 'I love you'?"

"You really love her?" said Obi-Wan.

"I do! I'm not interested in marrying Caroline anymore. I'll find another way to get Padme her restaurant. I'll get a job. Or two or three if I have too!

Anakin had an idea of how to surprise Padme, but he was going to need someone with hands to help him.

"Okay, where are you taking me?" asked Padme as Anakin guided her over to some place.

"Just a little some place to celebrate our last night together, as... well, horses." Anakin said. "Gotta admit, it's a nice change from being a frog.

The two of them flew until they came to a grassy spot in a park. And there on the grass, there lay a beautiful blanket with a candle lighting it up.

Padme gasped and felt so touched.

"No one's ever done anything so lovely for me before." Padme said. And she looked at Anakin, who now held a pink rose in his mouth.

"I hope this isn't too much." Anakin said, placing the rose in Padme's hair.

"It's perfect." Padme smiled, nuzzling Anakin's muzzle, as she'd seen horses do to show affection.

Anakin then surprised Padme with a plate of minced foods.

"You minced. But how?"

"I had a little help. You'd be surprised how hard it is holding tools with your teeth. I did figure out how to use my new tail to hold things, though."

Padme started to laugh.

"You've had quite an influence on me, which is amazing, because I've met so many girls and never once dated any of them. Some of them seemed nice, but they were nothing like you. You couldn't be more perfect."

Anakin, for what felt like the first time in his life, was so nervous.

"Padme, I..."

Padme gasped as she caught view of something in the distance.

"There it is!" she exclaimed.

Anakin looked at saw the building Padme was talking about just down the street outside the park.

"Your restaurant?"

"All lit up like a festival of lights."

"Oh, I could see it with some jazz music playing in it."

"It should be elegant." Padme said.

"But you gotta keep it loose, though. Got to let it swing." Anakin said.

"You know anyone who can dance?" said Padme.

"You'd let me perform?"

"I'll talk to the owner. She says yes." Padme said. "People will come from everywhere just to get a taste of our food."

"Our food?" said Anakin, feeling hopeful.

"Huh? Oh, no. My father. We always wanted to open this restaurant." Padme's ears drooped as she thought about him. "He died before he could see it happen. But tomorrow, with your help, our dream is finally coming true."

"Tomorrow?" said Anakin, sounding confused.

"If I don't turn in that money first thing tomorrow, I lose this place forever."

"Padme... I love..." Anakin started to say as Padme looked at him. "The way you light up when you talk about your dream. A dream so... beautiful, I...I promise I will do whatever it takes to make it come true."

Anakin moved a little closer to Padme. Padme didn't know why, but she didn't move at all and let Anakin come closer. But just before he could kiss her...

"Anakin! The parade is starting soon!" Obi-Wan called.

Anakin and Padme started to head out so they could find Caroline, wherever she was.

Meanwhile, Dr. Palpatine was having a fit, as the shadows returned, and they didn't have Prince Anakin in their grasp.

"How difficult is it to find one measly frog in the swamp?" Palpatine growled.

"I'm doomed!" Amedda said. The blood had completely worn off. Now he looked nothing like Anakin.

And then, Palpatine had another idea.

"Not quite yet." Palpatine said.

In another room, Carmine was finishing getting himself ready for the parade.

He was very excited because he was going to ask Caroline for courtship tonight. He'd only known her a short time, but he was sure he wanted to court her and someday marry her. He even picked out a promise ring to give her as a symbol of his love and willingness to wait for her.

Just then, there was a knock at the door.

"I'll be ready soon," said Carmine, quickly hiding the ring in case it was Caroline. He wanted it to be a surprise at the parade.

Suddenly, the lights went out and dark shadows filled the room with a terrifying howl.

Carmine tried to scream for help, but he was gagged and held down by the shadows. And to his great shock, he saw Amedda with an amulet, which he used to take a drop of Carmine's blood from his hand.

Caroline, meanwhile, got dressed up all beautiful in her best purple rose gown. It was a very special dress to her. The very dress her mother wore when she and Nicholas fell in love at Starry Grand. She hoped it would bring her good luck tonight with Carmine as her date.

She heard a knock at her door.

"Come in." Caroline said, fixing up her tiara.

"Caroline, my sweet." said 'Carmine' coming into the room.

"Oh, Carmine. You look so handsome tonight."

"And a beautiful flower you are tonight, my sweet blossom." Amedda said, kissing her hand.

"Are you ready for Starry Grand?"

"I will be in a moment." Amedda said. "First, I must ask you a very important question."

Amedda got down on one knee and pulled out the ring Carmine had gotten for Caroline.

"Will you do me the honor of becoming princess of Coruscant?"

Except, now Caroline was confused.

"Carmine, we've only known each other for two days. I mean, I do love you, but I don't know if I'm ready for marriage."

"What? But of course, we're ready. Our love, my love."

"Carmine... you saw I wasn't ready when Anakin tried proposing. Where is he, anyway?"

"Oh! He is... sick. He cannot join us tonight." Amedda lied.

"Carmine, what's my favorite color?"

"What?" said Amedda.

"What's my middle name?"

"What were we doing when we had our first kiss?"

Amedda saw he was definitely in trouble now, which meant he was reduced to an extra something Palpatine concocted just in case. He took out a heart-shaped bottle of a pink liquid and sprayed it into Caroline's face.

Caroline coughed for a bit before opening her eyes and looking at Amedda.

"Now, let's try that again." said Amedda. "Will you marry me, Caroline?"

"Yes!" Caroline said, her blue eyes changing pink as she was now under the spell of a love potion.

According to Dr. Palpatine, it would last long enough for the wedding to finish, unless she got sprayed in the face with water.

Padme and Anakin began flying like their lives depended on it as the parade began. They arrived at the Mitchells' house, where Anakin rushed into the guest house, hoping to find Carmine and warn him about the voodoo. Except, when he got there, he found the room to be a mess!

"Carmine? Carmine!" Anakin called.

Then, Anakin and Padme heard sounds of struggle coming from a closet.

Padme turned back to the wardrobe and kicked the knobs off to open the doors, and out fell Carmine all tied up and gagged with a scarf around his mouth so he couldn't scream for help.

Padme helped Carmine sit up and began chewing on the ropes, while Anakin got the scarf off his brother's mouth.

"Carmine! Are you okay?" said Anakin.

"What?" said Carmine, recognizing the horse's voice. "Who are you?"

"Carmine, it's me! Anakin!"

"Anakin?! What happened?! Who did this to you?"

"Long story, that wasn't me at the masquerade ball or anywhere else you saw me after that. Amedda's been posing as me to marry Caroline, and some voodoo guy turned me into a frog, and then the non-humans on the other side of the wall turned me and Padme into horses so we could hide and find Caroline because I need to get a kiss from a princess so me and Padme can turn back into humans. And I don't even wanna marry Caroline, because I love Padme!"

Padme froze when she heard those last few words. Anakin did too when he realized he'd blurted out 'I love Padme.'

"You... you do?" Padme said.

"I... I do." Anakin said. "I love you, Padme."

For a brief moment, Padme and Anakin looked at each other with love shining in their eyes like the evening star. But then, Carmine had to interrupt them.

"I hate to interrupt the romantic moment, guys, but if we don't hurry, Caroline's gonna end up marrying the wrong prince!" Carmine said.

"Quick! Hop on!" Anakin said, getting Carmine onto his back.

And so, the two horses and human prince rushed out to go save the princess of Starry Grand!

The Starry Grand Parade was in full swing. There were all kinds of beautiful floats set up with lights and confetti, bead necklaces being thrown out to the crowd, and lots of upbeat music and dancing.

Anakin and Padme looked around for Caroline.

"Which float are Caroline and her family supposed to ride on?" Anakin asked Carmine.

"The one that looks like a throne." Carmine said.

The two pegasi looked down and saw a big wedding cake float, where on top stood Caroline and who looked like Carmine, but was actually Amedda. And up on the cake with them to perform the wedding ceremony was none other than Mayor Verdine, a.k.a. Mariverde.

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered her tonight to join this prince and this young woman in matrimony." began Mariverde.

Padme knew they couldn't fight alone. They were going to need help.

"Anakin, no matter what, get Caroline to kiss you. I'm going to get help!" Padme said, beginning to fly away.

Anakin and Carmine looked at each other and then heard as Mariverde said, "If any of you should object to this union, speak now or forever hold your peace!"

"I OBJECT!" Carmine shouted, having Anakin swoop down, throwing Amedda off balance, and making him fall right off the wedding cake.

The parade stopped and people gasped as they thought it was Carmine who'd fallen.

Anakin also flew down and snorted angrily at Amedda.

"You vile traitor!" Anakin said. "My family trusted you, and this is how you repay us?!"

Anakin bit the talisman and ripped it right off of Amedda's neck, exposing him as an imposter.

"People of New Starlanes!" Carmine began. "This mayor of yours has fooled all of you! She is not who she says she is!"

"It's true!" said Anakin, loud enough for people to hear him as he flew up high. "She is the queen of voodoo workers, and had one of her own trick me into allowing my traitor of a valet to take mine and my brother's place to marry Caroline Mitchell so he could murder her parents, your Starry Grand king and queen!"

People gasped as they heard this news.

"Not only that!" said a familiar voice. It was Padme. "Mayor Verdine is responsible for a crime this whole town has committed by banishing all non-humans to the bayou."

"Preposterous!" Mariverde said. "Those people are nothing but thieves and liars!"

"You're the one lying about them so no one will believe them." Anakin said.

"It's true." said Obi-Wan entering the scene. "Mariverde had all non-humans framed as thieves and banished because she knew they were the only ones powerful enough to fight against her."

Mariverde got so angry, she forgot all about keeping her cover, and in a flash of green light, transformed into her true dark gypsy form, and summoned up the many shadows she had and Dr. Palpatine.

"You are clever folk," said Mariverde. "But naive!"

Mariverde crushed the talisman, and out came many voodoo masks and dolls, beating on the drums, ready to feed on many souls that were out for the taking.

Obi-Wan and the others quickly got to helping the humans escape, and the unicorns began fighting the dark magic with their light magic, and their riders fought with what light arts they had to give everyone time to escape.

Padme quickly got to helping Caroline's parents out of there, and Anakin helped Carmine get Caroline out just as the potion started to wear off!

But while the group was escaping, Mariverde had a score to settle with Palpatine.

"No! Please! I'll back you back!" Palpatine panicked. "I just need more time!"

"You've had too many chances, Palpatine!" Mariverde said, having the shadows drag Palpatine into the mouth of the biggest voodoo mask and into the underworld where his soul was devoured, his screams echoing in the night.
