Summary
In the dark ages a man gifted his followers with chakra. Ninjutsu was born and through out the centuries chakra users have war against one another in clans until they began to group up and form large organizations. Shinobi with the title of kage rule countries in the shadows and during a peaceful period. A young shinobi bursts onto the scene not only in the shadows but in the light as well. Chosen by the God of money and women, Naruto uses money, and women as a gateway to more power.
Chapter 1
"Mr. Namikaze, back away from the Jinchuuriki or your son dies at the ripe old age of one minute," a masked intruder said to the blond haired man while holding a kunai over a newborn baby.
Said the baby had the same shade of blonde hair like his father. The little guy was sleeping peacefully, not knowing what kind of dangerous situation he was in.
Minato was a fairly tall, fair-skinned man who shared physical appearance with his son, both of them had bright, blue eyes and blond hair. "How did he break through the barrier? Who the hell is this guy?" he thought without taking his eyes off the stranger who was holding his newborn son, Naruto, as a hostage.
"Aaah!"
That was when he heard a scream from his wife; he quickly turned and looked at his wife to make sure she was alright.
Uzumaki Kushina, who also happened to be the second Jinchuuriki of the Nine-Tailed Fox, was barely holding the seal that had weakened because of childbirth. She had a slender, but feminine build, fair skin, violet eyes, fiery red hair—a common trait among the members of the Uzumaki clan—with strands that framed both sides of her face and a black clip that parted her hair to the left, keeping it out of her eyes.
"The seal's not done," Minato thought, glancing to the intruder,
"Aaah!" Kushina screamed again, as Nine-Tails forced more chakra to escape from his prison.
"Kushina!" Minato said, as he worried for the safety of his son and wife.
"Back away from the Jinchuuriki... or don't you care if your son dies?" the masked intruder asked
"Hold it, j-just calm down!" Minato said with worry laced into his voice, as he held his left hand up in a placating gesture.
"You should take your own advice, Minato. I'm perfectly calm," the masked man said, and he tossed baby Naruto up.
"Naruto!" Kushina cried out in terror at the thought of her child being hurt.
The masked man attacked with his kunai toward the baby's aerial form, but acting quickly, Minato disappeared and reappeared behind the masked man, holding his son in his hand.
"You live up to the 'Yellow Flash' moniker," the man said calmly. He was clearly impressed by Minato's speed. "But what now?"
Minato looked down in horror as he found exploding tags on the blanket, just before they exploded
"Naruto! Minato!" Kushina screamed in horror.
Minato flew out of the smoke and debris with unharmed Naruto in his arms. His three-pronged kunai was sticking into the ground just a few meters away from him.
He looked down at his son and said with great relief after seeing him unharmed. "Thank god... You're not hurt."
Looking down Minato, saw a large splinter of wood stuck in his leg. He gasped as he took it out, "He's after Kushina... He forced me to use my Flying Thunder God technique to separate us! Gotta hurry."
Throwing the splinter of wood away, he disappeared with his son and reappeared in his safe house, "I'll be right back Naruto." He said creating a shadow clone before vanishing again
Birth Location
Minato appeared in the cave and found his wife missing and gritted his teeth before he ran through hand seals and pulsed his chakra and in midair glass seemed to be floating and Minato immediately jumped for it running through another set of hand seals before he punched through and entered
Mirror Dimension
Rolling Minato looked up to see the explosion of red chakra and narrowed his eyes before he vanished in a yellow spark of lightning,
"S... Stop!" Kushina breathed out tiredly while trying to stand up on her feet.
The man turned around to see Kushina survived the extraction of her tailed beast. "The Uzumaki clan is really something special. Even wrenching a tailed beast out of your body didn't kill you right anyway," he said. He turned to his new pet once again. "It's only fitting for the Nine-Tails to kill his former Jinchuuriki."
The Nine-Tails lifted one of his large claws and slashed down intending to kill his former host. As his large paw smashed down at the rock she was on, a flash of yellow preceded. The paw smashed the place, but Kushina disappeared before she could be crushed under it.
As the dust settled, Minato was crouching on top of a large tree, holding his wife against him.
"A small flash of hope... but it's too late," the masked man said after watching the failed attempt of the demon fox. Before he felt a cold chill go through him before he noted an arm in Minato's hand as he glared murderously down at him.
Looking to his arm his eyes widened as blood gushed from the empty space and a seal glowed on his torso where his cloak was burned opened,
A growl caused him to look up to see Kyuubi free from his genjutsu before it raised its arm to smash him and he quickly warped himself away as the hand came down on him,
"Minato... Is Naruto... Is Naruto okay?" Kushina strenuously breathed out. Her face was devoid of life that was extracted out of her with the beast. Bags had gathered under her eyes and mixed that with the sweating and weary look on her face… it made her look slightly older than the young beautiful woman she was.
Minato answered, as he grinned, trying to put on his bravado face. "Yes... He's fine. I hid him somewhere safe."
"Oh, thank god." Kushina breathed a sigh of relief before she looked at her husband. "Minato... stop him... stop the Nine-Tails," she warned, a slight tone of worry in her usual cheerful voice. "
Minato looked at his wife for a second before he looked up as the Kyuubi growled at him and opened its mouth and immediately teleported away.
Minato landed a few yards away from the Nine tails, "We leave, the Mirrorrealm will deteriorate and unleash him on the world." He said to Kushina
"Seal him back inside me. I'll take him with me." Kushina said
Minato looked at his wife and frowned before looking at the fox, "We have to go." He said frowning, "But you won't like it."
Kushina looked at Minato confused as a shadow clone appeared and teleported away, "No." She said in realization,
"Operation Maelstrom has to happen. It's what we talked about running each and every scenario on how this night could go." Minato said
Kushina looked ready to cry before Minato stood before her and held out his hands as a large purple orb of chakra came hurtling toward them,
Kanji appeared in midair and caught the orb before absorbing it and the kanji appeared beside Kyuubi and the atack slammed into its head causing a nuclear scale eruption,
Minato's clone reappeared with a scroll and his newborn son, Naruto, in his arms. "The blood clones are in play.," he said without taking his eyes from the Nine-Tails. He placed Naruto down on the grass.
"My chakras almost drained," Kushina said, but she used her last bit of chakra to summon her chakra chains, as several golden chains shot from her back and wrapped around the Fox's tails and body, pulling him to the ground.
"Kushina!" Minato shouted, worriedly, which woke up baby Naruto from his peaceful sleep. He began to cry.
"Sorry Naruto, I didn't... mean to wake you..." Kushina said, blood dribbling from her mouth, as she gave her son a sad smile.
Minato couldn't believe such a happy day of his life had turned out to be such a nightmare. "Kushina, you... you made me your husband. You made me into the man I am today," Minato said, tears sliding down his cheeks, "You made me this boy's father... and I..."
"Don't look sad, Minato. I'm... I'm happy." Kushina said as she gave her husband a weak smile. "Happy that you loved me." She turned her head around, softening her eyes at the sight of your crying son. There was a small smile on her lips, "Happy that it's… our son's... birthday... Like... if I try to imagine surviving and three of us leaving together... I can't think of anything... beyond 'I'd be happy.'"
Tears continued to streak down Minato's face, as he looked at his wife who was ready to sacrifice herself to both of them.
Kushina looked at her son again. Her heart clenched, just thinking about leaving her child. "If I had any regrets... It would be that I won't see Naruto grow up," she said.
Minato looked down as his hair shadowed his eyes, "Let's do this." He sighed
Later
Baby Naruto slept soundly with a seal on his belly. Hiruzen Sarutobi stood with his student Jiraya, "Since you're back in charge, what do we do with the kid?" Jiraiya asked
"Well, that depends. Do you plan to honor the godfather duties Minato gave you?
"I'm not a parental figure." Jiraiya said
Hiruzen shook his head, "He'll be put in the system. If he unlocks his chakra he'll be drafted into the Shinobi program and once he graduates all of Minato's and Kushina's belongings will be his."
Jiraiya shrugged, "I'll keep my ear to the ground on who is behind this." He said before leaving not sparing Naruto another look,
Hiruzen looked down at Naruto and to the shadows where the blood clones of Minato and Kushina stepped forward, "How long will you guys be around?" He asked
"Until all preparations for Naruto are completed. Then we will disperse." Minato's blood clone replied
"What happened?" Hiruzen asked
"An Uchiha."
18 Years Later
Naruto grew up in the foster system until he was provided with a one-bedroom home in one of the worst neighborhoods in California by Hiruzen after he was inducted into the Shinobi system when his chakra was detected at the age of 5. His bills were paid for until he could begin working and soon as he was able to his assistance stopped,
Only a few vehicles were out at this time of day. with an unmarked 18-wheeler. driving down the barren streets. Four Brinks employees inside. Two upfront Driver, driving, and Messenger, riding shotgun. The hopper and the swamper are in the back. Nextel radios perched atop their shoulders. Sidearms were issued to all. An AR-15 carbine is slotted up front.
Nobody talks. Too early for that. The Driver struggles to keep his eyes open. He started to nod off when the truck swerves. Messenger hits his arm. Driver's eyes snap back open.
"Shit. Sorry."
"You need some coffee." Messenger said
Driver nodded before he pulled into the empty parking lot Messenger and Swamper hop out while Driver and Hopper remain in the vehicle. The only sound heard is that of the truck's engine idling.
Messenger and Swamper order, pay the Korean guy behind the counter inside. Driver had his eyes closed when Messenger and Swamper exit, coffees and boxes of donuts in hand. Quiet still. Driver's hand reaches for the "unlock" button on Messenger, 10 feet from the truck, hands full. Another morning, another donut run. Same as every other day. Almost.
Cars approach, causing. Driver's hand paused just above the unlock button, as 2 SUV's emerged from the dark with their lights off and came to stop behind and in front of the truck, blocking it in. Doors flew open and masked men emerged 1 from the front and 2 from the rear. They level shotguns and HK assault rifles t the employees.
They move in a precise military-like fashion, covering fields of fire. Messenger was literally frozen in indecision gripping his coffee to tip as his eyes go to his sidearm on his belt.
Driver reached for his nextel when a gunman raised his gun and fired a round through the windshield into his forehead,
Messenger and Swamper's eyes widened and made to act but were shot down as well,
The 3 as a unit made their way to the back and one of them grabbed the lock and ripped it free and opened the door before shotgun fire blew him away but Hopper's eyes widened as the man he just shot puffed away in a cloud of smoke before a bullet to the forehead killed him,
The men looked at the pallets of money, 80 million dollars all taken out of circulation, making it untraceable.
One of the men got on board while the others posted watching, as the man placed sticky notes with seals on them onto each pallet of money, as he reached the back a man with a shotgun appeared, and before he could get his shot off the man slit his throat him with a kunai,
Putting his knife back the man placed the last sticky note on the last pallet and placed his hands in a ram seal before all the money vanished in a cloud of smoke,
The men sealed their guns away before vanishing in smoke, and the last one on the truck vanished in a yellow spark of light before the SUVs exploded taking the truck with them,
At a one-bedroom home in Compton. Naruto appeared in his living room on a seal that glowed across the floor of the entire living room,
Smiling Naruto went to the backyard and opened the large doors leading to the basement before he walked down and saw the money he stole.
Calling a number Naruto waited, "Hey Mr. Sarutobi are you free to talk?"
"Yes, what can I do for you, Naruto?" Hiruzen asked
"I need 140.9 million dollars deposited into my account."
"...Where'd you get that amount of money?" Hiruzen asked
"A federal reserve truck was delivering the money to be incinerated. I intercepted it outside of a donut shop, killed the crew, took the money, and got away without being seen." Naruto said
"...Congrats, you qualify for your exam. Your the only one who killed are you feeling okay?"
"Just a bit wired." Naruto said
"I'm expecting big things from you Naruto. I'll deposit the money and send someone over to grab the money."
"Thanks." Naruto said before he hung up,
Naruto foregone sleep and tried to burn off the extra energy. He knelt and prayed to Plutus before watching the news while running through the 12 hand signs in different combinations at different speeds, while clones did chakra control exercises.
Soon Naruto was on his laptop watching a girl-on-girl scene. Naruto was stroking his dick, and after 10 minutes he grunted as the cum shot up from his balls, striking the paper towel he had ready.

Naruto waited for the next screen for what he had to do and he blinked as the quest appeared

The bus pulled to the next stop and Naruto got off and made his way down the street to USC. Bypassing the main building, Naruto headed to the back of the campus and entered his classroom,

Naruto sat at the back of the class, as he wrote seals for his Hiraishin jutsu, he didn't fully master the jutsu, but he could use it a total of 6 times.
Operation Maelstrom was Minato and Kushina's failsafe for Naruto. Their knowledge was readily accessible to Naruto who used it going to the academy.
Since the Civil War in the 1800s, the United States had become home to chakra users. Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha had come together and formed Konoha. Abraham Lincoln gave them California. Hashirama was elected their leader and over time it wasn't just California they had but all of the US. Those attending the academy had to be located in California but as soon as you graduated to genin you could move wherever in your territory but it was best to live where your teammates lived.
Chakra users were all descended from disciples of Hagoromo Otsutsuki who gifted his followers chakra back in the dark ages. Those belonging to the Senju, Uchiha, and Uzumaki clans were direct descendants of Hagoromo. Chakra became a genetic thing some awakened it some didn't. Shinobi ran the world in secret, Hiruzen was who the president answered to, and every major country had a Kage who ruled from the shadows.
Chakra sensors sensed the child with acceptable chakra and from the age of 5, that child would attend special subjects in school.
"Good afternoon class." Iruka greeted
"Morning Mr. Iruka!" the students yelled ready to finally become Shinobi
"Today you all will be taking your Graduation Exams. Originally you all were going to take the Exams here, but Hokage-sama wishes to see the test done, now you all took the written tests yesterday, so everyone if you would please stand up, and follow Mizuki, and I to Hokage-sama's personal training ground." Iruka instructed causing the students to immediately began chatter in excitement as they stood up
Naruto had an excited glint in his eyes, as he stood up and joined the line before Mizuki opened the Mirror dimension,
The mirror dimension was basically how shinobi had fought each other when the technological age advanced and began making their jobs harder. Shinobi exams, Chunin exams, and full scale wars had been fought within the realm wonder the nose of the people of the world.
15 Minutes Later
Naruto looked a bit amazed at the large training ground which was as big as a football field. Standing with the other students and the teachers, Naruto continued to look everyone looked forward when a cloud of smoke appeared, before it cleared out to reveal Hiruzen, the Elders consisting of Hiruzen's former teammates Homura Mitokado, Koharu Utatane, and his rival Danzo Shimura, along with around 20 Jonin's, the clan heirs also saw their parents who looked at them with an serious expression
Hiruzen stepped forward, with a serious expression in contrast to his grandfatherly smile that everyone knew him for, "Today some of you will take a step forward to becoming Shinobi of Konoha. Before you start your exams, I feel that I should let you know exactly what it is your getting yourselves into." Hiruzen said looking each of the kids in the eye "If you pass your exam you will become a soldier of Konoha Securities. You will kill, steal, and die for it, and your Hokage."
The Academy students looked at the Hokage wide-eyed before they looked to Iruka who looked away, while the clan heads looked at their child with narrowed eyes while glancing at Naruto along with some Jonin who was standing there with his hands in his pockets perfectly calm,
"If you feel that you don't have the stomach for the life of a killer, step forward and you will be escorted home." Hiruzen said watching as a few girls looked to Sasuke and stayed put while 15 children walked forward, causing him to sigh, before 5 Anbu Black Ops members dropped down and took a set of students, for mind wipes, "Ok, if you all want to continue, let's get started."
Iruka saw Hiruzen nod to him, so with a nod of his own, he stepped forward, "We will begin with the accuracy test first," Iruka said, "When I call your name please come up and throw the shuriken, then the kunai. Shino Aburame!"
Things went like they did every time they practiced accuracy, Shino and Kiba scored good grades, eight out of ten shuriken, and eight out of ten kunai for Kiba and nine out of ten shuriken, and ten out of ten kunai for Shino. Meanwhile Sasuke once again scored a nine out ten for both, and as he had done every time during weapons throwing, he threw each set of weapons at once. Everyone else scored somewhere in between, the civilians who stuck around were still only slightly better due to the fact that they could only practice at school.
"Naruto Uzumaki!" Naruto stood up from his position by a tree, and made his way up, feeling the eyes of everyone on him, looking around at the targets, he saw that there were 10 trees lined up together side by side with targets on them Naruto pulled out his kunai, and with a flick of his wrists the 10 Kunai sailed across the field and a loud thunk resounded around the area as all 10 kunai ended up in the targets all the way to their handles, ignoring the gasp from Iruka, and the other students, Naruto pulled out 2 Shuriken, and tossed them to the side of the trees before a loud clang was heard and one of the Shuriken suddenly curved and sliced through all 10 trees, to the shock, and surprise of everyone, minus Hiruzen who gave a proud smirk, as Naruto's other kunai hit the secret target hidden in the forest
"G-Good job!" Iruka said, surprised and shocked as he wrote down the score on his clipboard.
Naruto smirked as he walked back to the crowd of hopeful genin while Ino Yamanaka went up for her test. As he stood there many of the students eyed him wearily, along with the Jonin, and Elders
The next stage of the test was the taijutsu portion, after they had all moved towards the sparring section, a small part of the training grounds with a metal ring around it, Iruka called out names while Mizuki stepped into the field. Naruto didn't even need to pay attention to the test to know who would do well in this portion; Shino would do enough to get a high passing grade, but no more than was strictly necessary so he could hide his skills. Kiba would do his best, actually getting the second-highest grade, at least he normally would, if Naruto had any intention of holding back. Sasuke would get the 'best' score there, Choji would be fourth, and Shikamaru would be last; being too lazy to do more than last the required ten minutes. Hinata would actually do alright, she never hit her opponent because she was afraid, but she lasted the full ten minutes without getting hit either, causing her father Hiashi to sigh, Ino and Sakura would both do horribly, neither trained and dieted so they did not have the physical prowess to do much,
A grin once again had spread across his face as he walked onto the sparring field.
"I think he's gonna fail," Kiba said, suddenly unknown to him, causing the higher-ups to look at him, while his mother glared, "I mean, it had to be luck, he's some lover orphan for crying out loud! How good could he be? Right, Akamaru?" the white pup on his head barked in what sounded like an affirmative.
"I don't know," Choji muttered, "I mean, did you see what he did with that shuriken? I'm from a clan and I can't do that."
"As I said, I bet it was all luck," Kiba said, turning to the others. "I got $10,000 on him losing."
"Troublesome," Shikamaru muttered noticing that Kiba's mom, was glaring heavily at him, which caused him to move away from the kid
"Ready?" asked Iruka, looking at Naruto who nodded, "Right, then Hajime!"
Almost before the words had even left Iruka's mouth Mizuki was charging the whiskered blond, causing Hiruzen to narrow his eyes, along with some Jonin,
Mizuki came in and reared back his fist, throwing it out in an effort to hit the blond, before ducked under the fist, and elbowed Mizuki in his ribs, before a knee to the Chunin's stomach caused him to collapse to his knees when he vomited while trying to regain his breath,
Mizuki looked up to see Naruto smirking at him before his eyes widened when the boy lifted his foot and said foot heading toward him was the last thing he saw,
"Pathetic." Naruto said walking away from the unconscious Chunin,
When the last person finished the outside practical portion, and after the several seconds it took to wake up Mizuki, the class made their way back to where they started
"It's time for the last portion of your exam," Iruka said as everyone was watching him "The Ninjutsu portion, when I call your name, I want you to perform the three academy jutsu, Transformation, Replacement, and the Clone Jutsu, and extra credit will be provided to those capable of performing a jutsu not taught in the Academy."
One by one student walked up and performed the three basic jutsu, with only the clan heirs being able to perform the extra credit with a clan jutsu before finally, it was Naruto's turn
"Naruto Uzumaki!" Iruka said causing Naruto to sigh, before he substituted with the walking Sasuke who just retrieved his dog tag and stood in the center of the academy students, and the higher-ups, with his arms crossed
Iruka nodded seeing the Kariwimi Jutsu before in a puff of smoke he transformed into Minato and 3 shadow clones popped into existence,
Naruto still in Minato's form turned to the side facing the trees, as one clone remained before said clone ran through hand seals at a fast pace causing everyone's eyes to widen as his hands blurred through the signs
"Fire Release: Fire Dragon Jutsu!" the clone spat a large white fire Dragon at the trees causing a loud exposing causing everyone to gasp as smoke, and gusts of wind and dirt swept through the area
Hiruzen, the Elders, and the Jonin watched as Minato placed his hands in a seal "Water Release: Multi Water Dragon Jutsu!" They all marveled as the water swirled into existence around him before 5 dragons made of water hit the forest dousing the flames, and causing steam to form
When the steam went away Naruto was standing facing the Hokage with a smile as everyone looked at him in awe, shock, and surprise
"Y-you pass." Hiruzen said
Naruto with his smile still in place walked over to the table to retrieve his dogtag, as he looked down and reached for one, his eyes widened as the Sandaime held a headband in his hand, looking up he saw Hiruzen smiling at him
"This belonged to your father. He'd want you to have it." Hiruzen said as everyone looked on, as Naruto took the dog tags and tied them around his neck looking at the tag that read his father's name and ID as well as his mother's,
Hiruzen smiled as he looked at Naruto who looked just like his father, with his shoulder-length bangs framing the side of his face, as his spiky blond red-streaked hair that was tied in a ponytail that came to his shoulder blades moved gently in the breeze, before with a bow of thanks Naruto walked back to his classmates
Hiruzen smiled at the boy before he saw Mizuki glaring at Naruto before he put up a fake smile, already suspicious of the chunin, Horizon looked to a hidden Anbu and with a quick hand sign said Anbu, appeared behind Mizuki chopped him in the back of the neck before he vanished with the unconscious chunin taking his straight to Ibiki Morino their head interrogator
Later
Naruto sat at the bus stop watching as Sasuke drove by in his Mazda MX5, before he looked at his phone,

Sasuke jumped and brought his right fist trying to punch Kakashi in his face, only for Kakashi to block with his free hand, though Sasuke was quick to use his other hand, as he forced Kakashi to dodge his punch.
Sasuke continued to try to land a successful blow on the jonin, as he attempted to kick the jonin in the ribs, but Kakashi blocked his attack. Sasuke did not stop as he brought out his other leg trying to kick the Jonin, who was quick to block again.
'Shit, I can't read my book like this' Kakashi thought, as Sasuke brought out his left hand trying to punch Kakashi in the chest, but the man blocked again, frustrating Sasuke. But he did not give up. His left leg moved faster than before heading straight at Kakashi's waist. Kakashi caught Sasuke's leg, but was not given the chance to do anything as Sasuke moved with impressive flexibility. He tried gutting the jonin with his left hand. Kakashi was up to the challenge when he caught Sasuke's hand with his other hand. Sasuke had expected as much, his free hand moved for the bells hanging on Kakashi's belt loop. He did enough to almost get them but Kakashi let go of him and jumped back a bit.
Kakashi rushed at Sasuke, catching Sasuke off guard by his superior speed, before Kakashi spun around and kicked Sasuke in the chest, as the Uchiha flew back he recovered quickly and landed on his feet.
''You certainly are good, better than most genins.'' Kakashi commented on Sasuke's skills in Taijutsu. He was certainly skilled and Kakashi was impressed by the young Uchiha.
Sasuke did not react to Kakashi's words. He was a little angry that he was not able to get the bells. What was more troubling was that he was unable to land a hit on the Jonin. Jonin's were really strong they were unlike any other shinobi
With narrowed eyes Sasuke sped through hand seals, before he inhaled large amounts of air, and held his hands together near his mouth as he muttered his jutsu.

"Naruto will have to balance doing missions and exorcizing the supernatural. Return home." Hiruzen said before hanging up,

"Nice to meet you." Kisuke said smiling, as Naruto nodded in response,
"Okay let's do this."
Kisuke smiled before Naruto grunted as a palm thrust to his back sent him stumbling forward, and he whipped around menacingly glaring at the girl standing there with a red glove on her hand but his attention went to his body laying there limped and he looked down to the chain hanging from his chest,
