Raditz immediately ask them how exactly did the Z Fighters already knew that Vegeta and Nappa were coming to Planet Earth in one year time and Piccolo explained to him that it was thanks to Bulma as after he had taken Gohan and Goten, she had went over to the remains of Raditz's ship since it after all alien technology and during their investigation found a spare scouter and with it she overheard the conversation between Raditz and other Saiyan's. Piccolo then ask Raditz why did they throw him away which Raditz explained that his former comrades had always look down on him for being born low-class and he was far weaker than them and they have decided that since he failed at recruiting Kakarot they have had finally enough for him and kick him off the team and if they see him again they'll kill him.

Raditz told them by using his scouter to scan each of their power levels they are each around the hundreds however Nappa had a power level of 4,000 while Vegeta had a power level of 18,000 and that was without counting the power increase though the Great Ape Transformation which every Saiyan is capable of doing as long as they possess a tail and both of them did and they are able to control themselves while in the form.

Raditz then made a offer to the Z Fighters that if they let him join them against Vegeta and Nappa then in return they won't only gain a ally to help them in the battle by given them information like about grabbing them by their tails won't weaken them like it did with him and they had small green, humanoid creatures known as Saibamen that grow from a planted seed placed in the ground, the Saibamen possess only enough intelligence to understand orders given to them by their leaders, meaning they will never revolt and their power level was at 1,200.

The two people who agree to Raditz's offer much to everyone else's shock was Master Roshi as he knew that if Kakarot was there with them then he would give Raditz a second chance despite every thing that had happen between them and Piccolo as he knew that they need all the help and intel they could get on their enemies if they had any hope to survive the upcoming battle. Piccolo secretly told everyone to not reveal about the Dragon Ball's just yet in case Raditz dose betrays them which everyone agree as they need them to revive Kakarot when they are reactive and hopefully Kakarot have gotten a lot stronger in the Other World by training under King Kai.

Raditz also revealed that Piccolo wasn't actually a demon but instead he was a alien from the race known as the Namekian's which shocked everyone including Kami who was listen in on what was going on and both he and Piccolo knew Raditz wasn't lying, Piccolo then told everyone that he'll be the one to keep a eye on Raditz and if he was telling the truth then they will train together and Raditz will help him to train Gohan and Goten so they would be ready for Vegeta and Nappa.

But before Piccolo and Raditz could leave Bulma ask Raditz for his scouter so they could use it to keep track of Vegeta and Nappa to find out when and where exactly will they arrive but also if he was planning on betraying them then he wouldn't be able to get in contract with them and tell them any Intel about them like if he finds out about the Dragon Ball's and Raditz handed over without hesitation after all he needed to make sure that they believe that he was on their side which he was.

For the next couple of mouths Piccolo and Raditz trained together with Raditz explaining to Piccolo about the Saiyan's Zenkai ability which was useful to know when they will begin Gohan and Goten training, while training Raditz used Piccolo's method of weighed clothing to make his training harder and allow Piccolo to hurt him enough so he would receive a Zenkai boost and with it Raditz would get stronger which meant that Piccolo would also get far stronger thanks to it as well.

When it was time to begin Gohan and Goten training, the two boy's refused to be trained by the man who they blame for their father's death but Piccolo told Gohan and Goten that they need all the help they can get against the upcoming threat and Raditz told them to use their hatred towards him for motivation to get stronger so they could make him pay which worked as Gohan and Goten power levels rapidly increased thanks to his hybrid potentials. On one night Gohan and Goten had ask Raditz about his and Kakarot's parents which Raditz answered telling them that while Kakarot was the spitting image of their father Bardock but he had the personality of their mother Gina while in Raditz's case he had the personality of Bardock while he look like his grandfather Gerkin, the father of Gina.

(In my other Dragon Ball stories where I do crossovers I use Gerkin as that universe version of Raditz like in Dragon Ball FT)

One day they were contracted by Kami telling them to travel to Korin's tower and drink the Ultra Divine Water which is a magic water that will draw out all of the drinkers potential if they can survive It's poisonous and painful effects which Kakarot did managed to do years ago to be able to fight and defeat Demon King Piccolo. When they got there they were meet by Korin who inform them that Master Roshi, Krillin, Yamcha, Tien and Chiaotzu have all drank the Ultra Divine Water and survived gaining a power increase.

(Master Roshi drank the Sacred Water which is just normal water not the Ultra Divine Water)

Only Raditz and Piccolo drank the Ultra Divine Water as they knew no one would allow Gohan and Goten to drink as well as it was too much of a risk for them not surviving and both of them managed to survive but Raditz guess that he might gain a Zenkai Boost from it as well and so did Kakarot when he drank it as his increase was much greater than anyone else's.
