Ch4 - Movie Night pt2

I let my gaze fall on the furniture in the lounge, I just couldn't relax; there was something off about the blankets and pillows.

I couldn't decide I brought down enough of each item, I counted them; that's when I realised I needed two more of each.

I could sense that I was being watched, that's when I turned back around; only to find Killian staring at me, he made his way over to the couch, he stood behind it.

I noticed that he still looked rather bemused by this whole situation. He smirked, it stayed on his face for a few seconds before he realised it was futile, he wasn't going to be able to distract me.

I smiled at him, we would get through this together; we've been through worse together, so one night with my family watching isn't going to be as half as bad.

I tried to hide how nervous I was, knowing deep down it was pointless; because I'm an open book.

I know I shouldn't be nervous I mean I'm the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming, nerves shouldn't get to me.

He reached out his arms, as I was walking past him on my way upstairs, I couldn't help but brush past him.

I know he's trying to calm me down, but I needed to focus on something, because I felt like I was going to pass out.

Once I got them, I headed back down to the lounge; I placed them on the couch. I spotted Killian sitting at the kitchen table, he didn't hear me come back down .

I happened to notice, he looked dejected. Great, now I've upset him, I had to tear my gaze away from him, I mean I didn't mean to upset him.

I sat on the couch and watched the clock, figuring if I stared at it long enough maybe I could reverse time, and stop myself from rejecting his embrace.

I couldn't bare to look back to where he was sitting. I glanced up at the clock it was 7:20; that meant my family would be here in ten minutes.

I needed to calm down, so looked over at the tv; checked it over, I then shifted my gaze to the dvd player, it set up and ready to go.

My thoughts then drifted to the popcorn, I knew it wouldn't take long in the microwave.

I could feel myself get a little bit lightheaded, why am I acting like this?

I must have been so lost in thought because I jumped slightly when I felt the couch sink under the sudden added weight of Killian, placed his arm around me; he stifled a laugh, so I nudged him in the ribs.

I was already beginning to regret the choice of movie, I didn't need restart my heart on top of that. I could feel the warmth of his hand as he placed it on my face, he then lifted my chin.

He smiled at me. I focused on his face. The hurt I saw a few moments ago was gone.

I went to speak, but he silenced me by placing his hand on my cheek, once he knew he had my attention he spoke.

"Relax love, I know you didn't mean to upset me; I also know that you're nervous, but I'm sure they will all be here soon and then we can enjoy the movie together"

I smiled, I went to get up; that's when he spoke again.

"Just stay there love, I'll go and get you a glass of water"

I smiled in thanks, he always knew what I needed; he's so thoughtful, I don't know what I ever did to deserve someone like him.

When I looked over at the clock, it was 7:30; they would be here any second. So I got up, I turned the dvd player on and I placed the dvd into it.

Just as I had turned around to sit back down on the couch, when I sat back down I noticed Killian was standing in the middle of the room with the glass of water, I smiled; I accepted it and then placed it on the coffee table.

I leaned up to kiss him as he had just leaned down, that's when he moved to deepen the kiss. I stood up and wrapped my arms around his neck, and his made their way to my waist.

This is how he usually distracts me, I laughed softly into the kiss. We couldn't do anything yet, as much as I wanted to go upstairs and let him have his way with me; we couldn't.

I pulled away from the kiss, it gave us both time to catch our breath. He reached for me again.

That's the reason I stepped away from his embrace, I giggled.

"Easy tiger, my parents, Neal, Henry and Regina will be here any second; let's not get too carried away"

He smirked, knowing that it would lead me and in turn us to do unspeakable things. He tried reaching for me again, I could see the dangerous glint in his eyes.

I felt my breath catch in my throat.

I know that look, and I can tell you now that it wasn't Killian I saw staring back at me; it was Captain Hook.

Let's just say that when things get a little hot and heavy Killian's pirate nature comes to the forefront.

I'm not denying that I don't I enjoy it; let's say we both do in the end. I could see that his eyes had darkened with pure lust.

I swallowed silently, and just as I was about to make a run for it; there was a knock at the front door. I knew he wouldn't do anything in front of my family.

Looks like the pirate captain would have to wait until later to come out and play. I could see him regain his composure, as I moved to open the door and greet them all, as they walked in.

I smiled as my parents took turns hugging me, Henry practically launched himself at me, I had to brace myself for the impact of his hug. I hugged him for a little while longer.

Regina placed her hand on my arm, as she walked in; she knew I needed to spend some time with Henry. I'm glad that I extended the invitation, it meant I got a little bit of time with my son.

Regina cleared her throat quietly.

"Thank you for inviting us Emma, I assume since your parents are in this movie am I to assume that I am in it as well?"

I nodded, as I ushered them into the lounge; not wanting to give anything away. I want them to experience it for themselves, I'm not going to ruin it by telling them what happens.

My mom looked at me, and I realised she wanted an answer as to why I was so flushed; I couldn't tell her what had just happened a few seconds ago.

I must have been quiet for a lot longer than I thought. She then spoke.

"Emma, honey is everything ok you look a little flushed, I have to say I'm excited to watch this movie with you; your father wouldn't tell me anything about it"

She playfully glared at my dad. I laughed internally when I spotted his facial expression.

Because of that little distraction, was able to answer her now that my head was slightly clearer than it was a few seconds ago.

I swallowed again and then I replied.

"Yeah mom, I'm glad you guys were able to make it tonight, and before you say anything I'm ok; just a little nervous about tonight"

My dad glanced at me, I could tell he didn't buy it for a minute. He's witnessed a lot of heated moments between Killian and I.

He then handed my little brother to my mom. He cleared his throat. Thankfully he didn't pry, not that I've anything against him prying.

He doesn't need to know what Killian and I get up to in private.

He looked at me again, he then spoke.

"Your mom and I can't wait to watch this movie, she kept asking me to tell her what it was called and I didn't want to ruin the surprise"

My mom spoke again.

"We've never seen a movie about our story before, we're kind of intrigued"

Regina arched her eyebrow, she then glanced over at Killian who was silent; knowing my husband he's probably plotting his revenge against me.

I walked over to where he was standing and I placed my hand on his cheek. That seemed to help, as he smiled instantly.

He stared at me, he still had a slight dangerous glint in his eyes; yeah I was definitely going to pay for what happened earlier.

I grabbed his hand, and we made our way back into the lounge, where my family looked rather apprehensive.

I reassured them.

"Relax guys, you're going to get a kick out of this; trust me"

Regina and Henry made their way to the far end of the couch. Henry grabbed two blankets and a pillow for himself; he placed the pillow on the floor.

He then handed one of the blankets to Regina, who smiled as she accepted it, she got comfortable.

Once she was settled, Henry sat on the pillow he set on the floor, he then draped the blanket around his shoulders; I smiled internally as I watched him get comfortable.

I guess he prefers to sit on the floor when watching a movie.

My mom sat down on the couch beside Killian, I watched as Neal took in his surroundings; he looked content sitting in my moms arms, I'm sure as the night went on he would end up in my dads arms, Killian's or mine.

My dad sat down in the chair that was situated beside the side of the couch that my mom was on.

I lifted two of the blankets and my dad smiled softly at me. My mom smiled, she knew I was nervous; she looked at me.

My dad spoke up.

"Emma, do you want some help with the popcorn?"

I shook my head.

"I'm fine thanks dad, it shouldn't take long; besides I invited you over for a movie night, you don't need to help, I've got this just relax"

Once they had all sat down, and I made my way into the kitchen to make the popcorn.

I made two bowls, one with melted milk duds for Killian and I; the other was plain popcorn for my family. I then headed back into the lounge, I sat down beside Killian and I got comfortable, I held the remote with one hand while the other lay on his leg.

I pressed play on the dvd.

Just as the opening music started playing, my mom looked over at me. I knew looking at her facial expression in the dim light, that she loved the fact that it was called 'Snow White and The Seven Dwarves'

I just hoped she would like the movie once it started.
