POV change, Nikolas,

One would say that us standing here today would be a sign we have strayed to far from god, yet here we are, no second coming, an armed revolt, and at this point a hundred dead from last night alone, of course we are doing what we can to minimize the cost of this revolution at least for those living in the city, this current action being one of those things,

I looked over the edge of the ladder into the train car and saw it was filled with coal, useful but not what we came here for, i slid down the ladder and reached into a pocket on my vest grabbing a can of spray paint, marking the car with a double X in a circle, then did the same for the next few before i came across a boxcar, i saw the lock was already busted and that was suspicious already, i quietly told lara to bring Markus to us, i then looked around for Mykkol, who was missing, i sighed knowing he probably ran off to do his own thing, i pulled my rifle back around off my back and into my paws, i flipped off the safety, and aimed at the door,

"Hey what's going on" Markus asked me quietly with his rifle now aimed at the door as well, i then motioned to the broken lock. Markus nodded seeing it as well, i then checked the door, it was cracked slightly.

I popped open a pouch on my vest and pulled out a flashbang. I took off a dead soldier last night. Markus looked at it and nodded, I pulled the pin holding the paddle in my hand still.

"Deep breath, 1, 2, 3" I whispered to myself, I tossed the grenade into the car. The paddle releasing and lighting the fuse, then a bright flash and loud bang, the door was quickly pulled open by Markus and we hopped into the car.

It was in fact occupied by 4 soldiers, the first one had been thrown onto his butt from the blast the second was reaching for his gun, the third was unarmed and forth was wounded already, i fired a shot into the soldier who was reaching for his gun, he crumpled onto the floor, he groaned, i then went to zip tie the one who was already on the floor and then the wounded soldier, while markus covered me, i then covered him and the door while he got the other two.

Once we had captured them the one i had shot had recovered already, he decided spit on on me, and spout the same bullshit about how "I should be euthanized because i'm clearly not human", i looked at him and slammed the butt of my rifle into his forehead knocking him out then kicked him in the groin,

I looked at the other two who were conscious, the other two seemed genuinely scared and honestly looked like they disagreed with the one who was unconscious and lucky i didn't just shoot him.

"Are there any more of you?" Markus asked, "No we are the only ones here, just please don't kill me!" the one quite literally begged, i turned to leave the car, while markus reached for his radio to call for a truck i bet, of course i decided to keep looking for supplies.

A bit later Mykkol came back to us with his satchel full of folders and on top of that a first aid kit on his back.

"Any luck with finding food?" he asked me, "no not yet, i take it you went to look for cargo lists?" i asked, "yea also found some other document's a few labeled confidential, and one secret," he said motioning to the satchel on his shoulder, i decided to check the manifest first, conveniently one of the trains was carrying about 6000 tons of grain, more than enough to make it through winter, and even the year after, another train was marked as equipment in quotations, which was a bit worrying, otherwise the train we are looking was ironically behind me at the moment,

"Thanks Mykkol, meet me at the truck alright" I told him tossing his satchel back to him, "okay i will see you there!" he said and then ran back into the direction of our truck, i then grabbed onto a ladder on the car behind me and climbed up to look in the car, inside was wheat, so much food, just sitting there, stopped by the military, for what reason i have no clue, but all the more reason we rebelled, and won, we might have been getting hungry over the last week, but this grain is a blessing, i climb down and mark the car with a plus and X next to each other, and head back to the truck, where Mykkol and Lara were waiting, a larger truck was just pulling into the railyard with a squad of fellow rebels, they hopped out of the back and just walked down the tracks.

A couple minutes later Markus came walking down the tracks, he hopped into the bed of the pickup and our driver who had spent the time keeping a lookout with a set of binoculars he walked to the truck and leaned onto the side, "Where are we heading?" he asked, i pointed across the river at the small outpost being formed around the point, he nodded and got into the truck, and we were off.

As we were making our way to the base i was sitting there cuddling with Lara,

"You know you're a good space heater right?" i said as she sat in the middle of the truck bed, she and Mykkol laughed at the comment, of course the snow around us was a nice touch,

"Mykkol, can you take those documents to the command building when we stop?" I asked him, "where is that?" he asked, "it's the Fort Pitt museum" i told him, he nodded, and we continued down the parkway.

About 15 minutes later we arrived at the point, it had already started to take shape, of course there was also a soup kitchen starting to be formed as well, me and lara got off the truck and started to walk home, leaving Markus and Mykkol to their business.

The walk was nice, there was still clean up from last night being done, the big issue with the city is it feels empty, after the military came in and established martial law the removed thousands of people and elementals in the period of a week, and before that shut off the grid causing hundreds to freeze to death, it was hell, it still is, but we are trying to fix the issues caused by the military, Mykkol might not know it, but he literally is the only reason we succeeded, the communication blackouts the restriction of movement, he is one of a few elementals who allowed us to communicate, and to top it off, restart the power grid, along the ohio river and the city, we had contacts in the garrison force who allowed us to fight more efficiently and even a few groups of defectors, mostly smaller groups of soldiers and a vehicle, but from what i can gather we should be assaulting the airbase at this point, and the communications blackout, it is what has caused a lot of us to do this, we dont know whats happening around the surrounding regions but if the first few days after the transformation are anything to go by, the moves or what ever you want to call them they are dangerous, i am scared of myself, the fact that i probably could kill hundreds with little to no effort, its disturbing, its why so many elementals are not using or learning how to use moves in the city, those of us who are bipeds and have paws that can be used as hands are volunteering in the new millita that has formed, the gun i have as much as i dont want to say it, i took it off a body.

As we walked along the streets it really was just a ghost town, and it wasn't as if people were hiding some kids were playing in the snow a few teens were cutting down checkpoint fences i don't know what happened to the elementals when the military came and took them, nor do i want to, One thing is for sure once we find out what happened to the elementals it probably won't be pleasant and if they were hurt, i will make sure that each individual who assisted with the deaths of elementals will beg for mercy, however what surprises me is the lack of response from other elements of the national guard or even the military itself.

We should have been caret bombed by now, we should have seen an air assault by now, but nothing the near non existent response from the military is worrying and now we are as far as i know raiding a full blown airbase with munitions, aircraft and staff for the aircraft, if last night is anything to go by the military has traitors who sympathize with us, what i don't understand is why all these measures like a media blackout is fair even a partial information black out, but shooting reporters in the street flamethrowers and even legitimate tanks and mass executions, the government of the united states is no longer worthy of its rule, we have become what we supposedly fought to destroy over the last 100 years, and yet after its all said and done, we all might be doomed in general this city might be reduced to a smoldering pile of rubble, yet we will die fighting for what we believe in.

I am drawn from my thoughts by a kid who throws a snowball at another and nearly hits me, she apologizes and quickly runs off with her friend making chase, as they run off i reach into a pouch on my vest and grab the keys to the home Lara and I live in, a small two story townhouse, the place where we have lived together since collage, a nice house in the middle of shady side, a greenhouse out back, two stories and a basement, a fairly nice kitchen with a gas stove and 4 bedrooms, one of which has been turned into a rudimentary command post during the planning phases of the revolution, though the postboard was empty it sat there with some small thank you notes left on it, though i have been meaning to clear out the room, the night started with me moving over to our wood-burner which was installed though not strictly legal over the last few years it is something the city never really enforced, and taking the ash out of it, putting it into a bucket and carrying it to a trash can in in the backyard, leaving my rifle at the backdoor.

"I'm going to go get some cucumbers from the greenhouse," Lara said squeezing between me and the doorway while carrying a basket in her muzzle, "Well i will get stuff out for that then" i told her, grabbing a bundle of firewood and heading into the house to light the stove for heating the house and cooking dinner, dinner was going to wind up being fried cucumber slices and then snuggle with Lara while trying to sleep, i decided to take a quick nap while Lara picked some vegitables.
