POV change Markus,

I am sitting in a room with the leadership of the revolution with Mykkol and looking over the documents that Mykkol stole, some of this stuff made me want to vomit, it was foul, literal plans to cover up genocide, blame it on the "elementals" then oppress them, We had read a few documents effectively admitting to the "relocation" of citizens of the city, to make room for staging for a sort of military operation, and the existence of the airport and airbase was meant to be a massive tactical boon for the military when it comes to the aircraft that were pre existing, but also a manifest for the movement of a wing of f-16's and 100 mothballed f-4s that were supposed to arrive about 2 days ago completely restored and partially modernized, meaning if they weren't sabotaged we had an airpower to match a smaller nation, the issue now is fuel, seeing as we have no active fuel refinement and bareilly any oil extraction in the region its going to be hard to get any gasoline or diesel, let alone Jetfuel, but it would help in the short term.

a radio pinged before a message played over it, "northern cargo terminal seized, airbase under siege from the south and east sides, we have defectors on the base" someone said over the radio,

It sounded like absolute hell in the background of the radio,

"Hey, is anyone here medically trained?" a militiaman ran in and asked quickly,

"Yes i am," a higher ranking officer of the Milita responded he got up and followed the militiaman

he also happened to be a trauma surgeon from the local hospital before he was arrested during the early days of the transformation when he was arrested for rendering aid to an elemental,

The early days were just pure pain, now with almost everyone in the city a member of a miltia or assisting us directly it is becoming less and less nightmarish each day,

If you would have told me when i was a teenager i would become a cop, not only that but creature from my favorite media franchise would become real because people were transformed into them, that i would survive being shot by a military officer in my home city, and i would be helping lead a revolution, i would have thought you were crazy, but here we are 2019, and the year is coming to a close in a month, the nation as far as i can tell is in shambles and we are seceding from the state of Pennsylvania and odds are the union as well,

A city state in the heart of the united states of america, a city which has left due to the systematic oppression of its citizens those who were removed from their homes no knowledge of where the are, at this point we have each other and that's all we have now, we are still attempting to gain a census of the population and so far, the numbers are grim, so far we are nearing only thirty thousand and that includes some of the surrounding areas of pittsburgh it should be near three hundred thousand and its worrying because of some of the mentions of "relocation" of citizens the way they word it is just gut wrenching, literally pulling the minorities out first then beginning with elementals, never mentioning where they are being "relocated" to this is all while forcing new ID's on people,

I stop thinking about life under martial law, for a bit and take a deep breath, looking at the only real military officer here, a lieutenant colonel who went AWOL and defected to us a week ago,

He was never trained to command so many troops, but he is the only true high level of command in our army,

Our forces are being supplied by a raided supply depo in the city thought there are multiple machine shops around the city, alot of them will need retooled, as per the suggestion another member of the military command gave.

Another debate that was going around was the possibility of refugees winding up with us at some point. What are we supposed to do, we might not exist tomorrow but with what was happening before the blackout the federal government might just be gone, also that is an issue that needs to be worried about later.

Thankfully Our odds of survival are increasing by the day though as each day we grow more united then the last, though on threat now is an attack from the river by either sappers or special forces divers, though that would be dealt with as needed, as a response to the risk of losing the bridge someone proposed to repurpose one of the gateway clippers into a ferry if some sort, and food, although there isn't much arable land at the moment, some places in the area are completely uninhabited therefore we can take them and turn them into fields, and even now someone is turning part of this museum into an aquaponics bay, someone else from a solar company has a squad of militiamen with him out digging up solar panels from hardware stores and a few warehouses, so if we do at some point lose the power plant down the river we can still have power through the day, and when night comes you can light a candle, i was drawn from my thoughts as a member of the councell called the meeting to its end, "Thank you both for the information, though some of it grim, it is important that we know this kind of information as it happens, it will be passed onto the civilian councell next" a member told us, i nodded and walked out, followed by Mykkol, "hey i will see you tomorrow meet me back here at about noon" i told mykkol as he nodded and gave what i assumed was an affirmative "Rock-ruff" i nodded, and we wnet our separate ways.

i walked back to my home,as i walked ran into a few old neighbors of mine though i didn't give any acknowledgment and i didn't receive any, of course that i was fine with,

I made it into my home and saw it was still cluttered from when the military "inspected" it, and since then I haven't been here, as I was a fugitive at that point.

I did a bit of digging and found a box of old photos, one of me and some buddies out drinking a decade ago, back right before i graduated middle school, i chuckle remembering the few friends who i had then, i put the photo back in its box and head upstairs, i find a hole in the wall next to the bathroom, it looked like it took a sledge hammer, i decide to check my bedroom which save for a damaged dresser and my bed being tossed up, i then fixed the sheets and got to work removing destroyed furniture, the house itself was relatively intact.

After a while i got a knock on the door, i opened it and saw a Leafeon elemental as well as a neighbor of mine,

"Hey markus, We saw you finally got back, did you need any help?" the guy asked, i felt kinda bad for not remembering his name,

"Yea i could use a hand, or paw if your willing," i told them both, and further opened the door,

As the night went on we moved the broken furniture out of the home, and i eventually started to sweep up the floor, the leafeon assisted by using its tail as some sort of broom, by the time the moon had risen the house was relatively clean,

"Thanks for the help you two" i told them, they nodded and said "well it's the least i could do, i honestly thought you died when the military started rounding people up".

"Well if there is anything i can do for you let me know," i told him, "yea i will keep it in mind have a good night," he said as he walked out of the front door,

I took a step out of the front door and looked to the moon lit skies, "this world is ours for the taking, i may not be religious, but if you are up there, thank you for the opportunity to seize our own destinies, give us the strength to fight on for our independence and survive this winter, thank you" i said looking up to the skies,
