In this chapter Henry keeps Killian company while Emma is at work, it's a split POV chapter beginning with Emma and finishing with Henry. He calls Killian dad, and they will be watching clips from Star Trek TNG while Henry tries to explain who the characters are. This chapter is for Baratta jennifer. Ch11 - Sheriff Sunday/Operation Star Trek

Emma's PoV

I was awoken quite suddenly and earlier than I should have been. Killian was leaning over me, he was grinning; I glanced at the clock on the nightstand.

It was 8:30am, I lay back down in bed and growled softly in the back of my throat; I get he's excited that Henry is coming over today, but I was hoping to sleep in a while longer.

"Killian I love you, I really do and I know you're excited about Henry coming over; but it's 8:30 in the morning, I was hoping to get a few more minutes before I had to head to the station later on this morning"

He smirked, and before I knew I was on my back and then his lips descended on mine; we made out for a while, and then we got got up and showered together.

We got dressed and headed downstairs, it was 9:15; Henry would probably be over around 10:30. Since it was Sunday I didn't need to rush to the station as my dad would be there anyway.

We headed into the kitchen and I made a start on breakfast, decided to make pancakes. They are a firm favourite, for both of us; we sat down and ate in a comfortable silence.

I watched as Killian kept glancing at the clock on the wall, he smiled when he noticed I was watching him.

"Sorry love, I'm just very excited to spend the morning with Henry; I can't wait to watch the thing you call YouTube with him"

I smiled, while melting on the inside; he really is the perfect man, we sat at the table and made light conversation. I looked at the clocks, it was nearly 10:00am. Henry would be here any minute.

I heard a knock at the door, it wasn't like Henry to knock; he probably didn't want to walk in on us incase we were making out or something.

Killian smirked, he was probably thinking the same thing; I felt myself blush, his smirk got bigger and then I walked over to the door and I opened it.

I smiled, and pulled him into a hug, I went to reach up and he lowered himself slightly so I wouldn't have to reach up as much to place my arms around him.

I smiled again and then I spoke.

"Hey kid, Killian can't wait to get started with YouTube, we've been up for a while; he's so excited. I'm sorry I won't be here, I'm heading to work; you're grandpa and I have a few things to do"

He nodded in understanding.

"My mom says hi, and don't worry mom; I can't wait to show Killian some of the clips from TNG"

I stood to the side so he could enter. We then walked back into the kitchen, and he greeted Killian. I watched as his face lit up, Henry then spoke.

"Hey dad, you ready to watch YouTube?"

He grinned when Henry spoke. He then looked at me, he likes it when Henry calls him dad; his smile always grows when he uses that word.

He was apprehensive at first, but in time he got used to it.

"Yes lad, I'm rather excited to see this YouTube"

I smiled softly, Henry smiled back; I then turned to Killian and kissed him. I didn't have to look in Henry's direction to sense his mild discomfort at our display of affection.

I grabbed my phone and badge and headed out the door.

I left the house with a smile on my face, my two favourite men were going to spend the morning watching YouTube on Henry's laptop. I heard them talking as I walked out the door.

As I made my way to work I couldn't help the smile that formed on my face, when I thought of how good Killian has been with Henry from the beginning of our friendship and eventual relationship.

My dad was sitting at his desk, he greeted me as I walked in.

"Morning Emma, did you enjoy your day off yesterday?"

I smiled.

"Morning dad, yeah I did; Killian and I watched another cartoon movie yesterday, it was called Beauty and the Beast. It is sort of about Belle, kind of how the one we watched was about you and mom"

He grinned.

"What's Killian up to this morning?"

I smiled.

"He's spending the morning with Henry, they are watching YouTube videos on his laptop. It was so adorable dad, they both looked so giddy; Killian had us both up really early, he was that excited"

He smiled.

"That's great, I'm sure you didn't expect to be up so early; I don't think we'll be getting any calls, at least I hope we don't. The town has been quiet as of late, so we could talk for a while and then look over some paperwork"

I smiled, wondering what Henry and Killian would get up to during their YouTube video binge...

Henry's POV

This morning for the first time ever, Storybrooke was quiet; no curses needed to be broken and there were no villains seeking revenge either.

Last night, I got a text from my mom; she wanted to know if I wanted to hang out with Killian, because she had to work in the morning. I agreed, as we haven't really spent a lot of time together just the two of us.

I got up and got dressed, I then walked downstairs and greeted my mom.

"Morning mom"

She smiled.

"Morning Henry, did you sleep well?"

I nodded. She continued.

"What time are you heading over to Emma's?"

I glanced at the clock on the wall it was 9:30.

"I was going to head over around 10:30"

It was nice to actually have a Sunday that didn't involve a curse or two. It's kind of cool having a stepdad who is a pirate, we have learned a lot from each other. But there are still some things I haven't shown him, like YouTube.

My mom asked me what Killian and I were going to do this morning.

"I'm going to show Killian YouTube. Last night when mom asked me if I wanted to come over this morning, I knew I had to show him some clips from Star Trek: The Next Generation"

She smiled, and placed her hand on my shoulder. I grinned, and leaned in to hug her.

"Have a great morning, tell Emma and Killian I said hello"

She left the kitchen and headed back upstairs.

I ran back upstairs and grabbed my laptop and placed it in my backpack.

I had a quick breakfast, I knew it was best not to overwhelm Killian. So I'll probably show him some short clips.

I made my way to my moms place. I knocked before I entered; you don't know what you're going to walk in on sometimes.

It wouldn't take long to get to their house, so I read a few of the comic books I left downstairs.

I heard muffled voices, and then shuffling; that's when my mom opened the door. She looked flushed, thank god I decided to knock.

I smiled, she pulled me into a hug. I'm slightly taller than my mom now, so it means she has to reach up to hug me now. She went to reach up and I lowered myself slightly so she wouldn't have to reach up as much.

She smiled and then she spoke.

"Hey kid, Killian can't wait to get today started; we've been up for a while, he's so excited. I'm sorry I won't be here, but your grandfather needs me to help him at the station"

I nodded in understanding. Then I remembered I had a message to pass on.

"My mom says hi, and don't worry mom; I can't wait to show Killian some of the clips from TNG"

She stood to the side so I could enter. We then walked back into the kitchen, and I greeted Killian. He was sitting at the table with a smile on his face.

"Hey dad, you ready to watch YouTube?"

He grinned at me, he liked it when I call him dad; his smile always grows when I utter that word.

"Yes lad, I'm rather excited to see this YouTube"

My mom looked at us, and she smiled softly. I smiled at her. She then turned back to Killian and kissed him.

I scrunched my nose up slightly. I'm a teenager, I don't need to see that kind of thing; even if they are true love. My mom lifted her phone and badge and headed out the door.

She spoke as she was leaving.

"Have fun guys"

We said our goodbyes, I grabbed my laptop, and set up YouTube. I looked at Killian, and I couldn't help but think he looked slightly perplexed.

He looked at the screen as I scrolled through the various clips. I explained the show as best as I could.

"These videos are from a tv show set in the distant future and it's called Star Trek: The Next Generation, I'm going to show you a few different moments from it"

He nodded, and I noticed the look of excitement returning to his face.

"I can't wait to watch the videos of this show with you lad"

I hovered the cursor over a clip from Encounter At Farpoint, I knew it would be the best place to start. As it's the very first episode.

I turned at looked at him.

"The clips I'm going to show you are from the first episode called Encounter At Farpoint. It explains the premise and who the characters in the show are too"

I clicked on it and we watched as The Enterprise came into view, then Jean Luc Picard appeared.

"That's the captain of the ship, Jean Luc Picard, he's one of my favourite characters"

The clip continued playing and that's when I heard Killian mutter something along the lines "He's a captain?"

I grinned and hit freeze, I looked at Killian.

"I forgot to mention, instead of ships they have space ships; and every character have a rank similar to the navy"

He smiled in understanding. I hit play and we watched the rest of the clip, as Picard made his way though engineering, to get to the bridge.

His soft gasp of surprise made me laugh, I looked over at him; and I smiled. I was glad that he seemed to be enjoying it. As every clip from that episode played he asked me about the characters that appeared on screen.

I hit freeze again; I think the best way to do this was to freeze it every time, so I could briefly explain who each character was. I didn't mind explaining it all to him. We were having a great time.

Every time a new character appeared, I hit freeze and told him their names. He apologised for spoiling our bonding experience.

I grinned. I told him he didn't need to apologise; as this was part of what today was all about. We were still bonding over this show. I knew he would probably laugh when I explained Tasha's job on the ship.

"That's Tasha, she's the chief of security on the Enterprise; she is kind of like a sheriff"

I was right, he did laugh; he was probably trying to picture my mom dressed like that. I couldn't stop grinning, this was great.

I liked explaining who the characters were. His facial expression remained the same throughout. Until we got to Doctor Crusher.

"That's Doctor Beverly Crusher, and her son Wesley"

He had an alarmed look on his face when he heard her name. I laughed slightly.

"Don't worry she doesn't harm her patients, that's just her surname"

"That is Councillor Troi she's a alien/human who can sense what a person is feeling. She also councils her fellow shipmates; shes kind of like Archie in that way"

I watched as his eyes widened when Worf appeared.

"Worf, well he's a Klingon, they are a warrior race; they fight and believe in glory"

Data appeared. I knew I would have to elaborate.

"Data is an android, he is a computerised being; he was programmed to follow commands, and he has a child like quality. He also follows orders given to him by the captain"

"That's Geordi, he's blind and he needs to use the device on his face to see"

"That is Will Riker, first mate; he is the second in command and if something happens to Picard, Riker will take command of the ship and its crew"

He watched in amazement as the clips continued, I looked at the clock and it was nearly 12pm. We had been watching YouTube from around 10:30 this morning. I figured it was best to not overwhelm him with all of this new information.

We did watch several clips, and they were roughly 3-5 minutes long.

I spoke.

"It's nearly 12. I had no idea we had been watching it for that long, next time I was thinking you, me and my mom could watch an episode; now you know who is who"

I closed my laptop, placed it back in my backpack; we decided to get lunch at Granny's. I looked at the clock again, my mom would probably be finished in time for lunch.

I spoke again.

"We should stop by the station and see if mom and grandpa want to get something to eat with us"

Killian nodded in agreement, knowing my mom can be slightly irritable if she doesn't eat right away. We headed out and made our way down the street in the direction of the station.

This morning was great, I'm glad I got the chance to show him Star Trek albeit in clip form. I'm also looking forward to spending a few minutes with my grandpa too.

When we got to the station, I spotted my mom and my grandpa; Killian cleared his throat slightly and my mom looked up.

She smiled, I then spoke.

"Hey mom, hey grandpa"

My grandpa smiled.

"Hey Henry, your mom was telling me all about your morning with Killian; I'm guessing by the look on your face introducing Killian to YouTube was a success"

I nodded.

"Yeah it was great, we we're actually wondering if you and mom wanted to go to lunch with us?"

They both smiled, and nodded in agreement. Granny's here we come...
