This is a bit of *spice* in this chapter
I tapped my fingers against my leg as I looked down at my bag. I knew that I had everything, but I was so nervous, that I was terrified that I would forget something important, like my makeup or something. I pulled everything out and repacked my bag, mentally going over what I was putting back in my bag.
I could hear Dimitri talking to someone in the living room and I chewed my lip, shaking my head.
"What am I forgetting?" I whispered to myself.
"What?"
I looked and found that Dimitri was now standing in the doorway.
"I know I'm forgetting something. I don't want to make Lissa drive all the way back here tonight, or god forbid I forget something tomorrow," I explained while running my hands through my hair. Dimitri made a motion for me to take a deep breath as he tucked his phone into his back pocket, looking over my suitcase. He hummed quietly and nodded before going to our bed and riffling around with our pillows. He pulled my knitted blanket out from behind and I sagged. I did forget something.
"I think you might need this tonight, you're anxiety is all over the place," Dimitri said as he carefully folded the blanket and tucked it into my suitcase. I gave him a soft look and he kissed my cheek.
"Also, you might need that," Dimitri said pointing to the white garment bag that was hanging on the back of the door. I rolled my eyes at him.
"Lissa is responsible for the dress," I pointed out, "She gets the fun job tonight."
Dimitri hummed and rubbed his hands over my shoulders, working the muscles.
"Breathe. Tomorrow is going to be a good day," he whispered in my ear. I could hear the smile in his voice and smiled too. I turned around and ran my hands up his chest, resting them there.
"Still want to go through with it even though you don't remember our whole relationship?"
Dimitri smirked. "Maybe I'll be lucky and I'll remember everything in the morning," Dimitri said hopefully. I knew that he was trying so hard to remember, and more pieces were coming back, but nothing concrete from the last few years. He remembers leading up to the party at Camille's, but it was still hazy.
"Wouldn't that be fun." I said with a sigh.
Dimitri kissed the tip of my nose. "But either way, I'm going to be at the end of the aisle, waiting for you tomorrow," he whispered. I leaned into him and wrapped my arms around his waist.
"Are you nervous?" I asked.
Dimitri shook his head. "Not necessarily. More anxious, I've waited my whole life for you."
My cheeks felt warm as I smiled up at him. "Lissa's going to be here any minute," I whispered. Dimitri nodded and kissed my forehead, letting me go so that I could finish packing. I had just finished zipping my suitcase when I heard another zipper, my head snapping around.
"You can wait twelve hours!" I yelled. Dimitri smirked at me with his hand on the zipper of my garment bag.
"Just a little peak?"
I scowled and smacked his hand away. "No!"
Dimitri pouted but it left his face when there was a knock on the door. I licked my lips and let out a breath, running my hands through my hair.
"I'll see you tomorrow," I whispered. Dimitri nodded and reached for my hand, squeezing it softly.
"I love you."
"I love you too," I said as turned back to my bag. Dimitri went to let Lissa in and I grinned at her when she appeared in my doorway. Lissa smiled and walked into the room, collecting my wedding dress.
"Ready!?"
I smiled at her and nodded. "Very ready."
I took the moment we had alone and took a long drink of water, holding a napkin under the rim so none slopped down.
"I need some of that too," Dimitri chuckled, pouring himself a glass of water too. We were waiting to take our wedding photos but found a small room in the venue to hide for a few moments. We wanted to bask in the post-ceremony bliss. I smiled up at him as he took a drink as well, licking his lips when he set the glass down.
"I never thought I'd be so thirsty from saying vows," I chuckled. Dimitri hummed and turned towards me, cupping my cheeks tenderly, and tilting my head up.
"Me neither, but it was worth it," he said as he kissed me. I wrapped my arms around his neck and leaned into him, my fingers ghosting over the top of his neck.
"It was," I whispered.
Dimitri nodded and rested his forehead against mine with a sigh. I had been bound to him for years, but this one was just another bond to hold. In maybe a year or so time, I'd be bound to him for eternity. I opened my eyes and saw the deep amber in his eyes, so molten and warm.
The words that we had exchanged were heartfelt and deep. I wasn't a weepy person, but I teared up during Dimitri's vows. They were heartfelt and I knew that they came deep from his heart, I could feel the sincerity in his words.
I didn't think there was a dry eye during our vows, to be honest. Baba was teary when he walked down the aisle, and both Mom and Olena dabbed at their eyes during the ceremony. Lissa sniffed a few times while glancing at Christian with a sweet look on her face. I could hear Sydney's hiccupped breath throughout the whole ceremony. I knew that she was a wedding crying, but I think her emotions were almost too much for her today. I glanced back at one point and Mia had stepped closer to her a gripped her hand.
"I think the wait was worth it," Dimitri said as he stepped back to view my dress, spinning me under his arm. I giggled quietly and blushed at him. The feeling of seer shock and love that came from him when I came down the aisle was overwhelming, making my already large smile bigger.
"Yeah?" I asked, "I almost didn't get it. Another bride just happened to pass it up!"
Dimitri pulled me back to him with a soft look, wrapping his arms around my waist, swaying with me gently to the music that was playing for our guests during the cocktail hour. I rested my hands on his biceps and swayed with him, enjoying the private moment as newlyweds.
"You look just as beautiful today as you did the first time I saw you," Dimitri whispered.
I smirked. "You mean as a newborn?"
Dimitri smirked too. "No, as an adult."
I rolled my eyes but nodded in understanding. "I'm glad I still got it," I chuckled.
Dimitri dipped me softly and I squealed quietly, laughing as he pulled me up.
"You've always had it, Roza. Even with the green hair, you were still gorgeous."
I laughed but it was cut off shortly, looking up at him in shock. About three months ago, I went to get highlights done and was being worked on by an apprentice because my regular hairdresser was sick. It was all fine and dandy until parts of my hair had turned green.
And it wasn't just green, it had been fried in some places. She had misread one of the bottles while she was doing the mixture. Because she was the apprentice, I said that I would wait for my usual hairdresser to come back to fix this. I was nervous because the wedding was coming up, so I went back a week later, but Dimitri thought the green was hilarious. He all but begged me to keep it because he liked it, but I was mortified.
"You remembered that?"
"Some things are still fuzzy, but I remember almost everything now. I remember the night of the attack outside the hub. It kind of came rushing back to me earlier today. I wanted to surprise you," Dimitri said and kissed my temple.
I felt a weight off my shoulders hearing him say that. A part of me always feared that he wouldn't remember everything, but knowing that he remembered most made me feel better.
"I'm glad your memory is returning," I whispered when Ivan poked his head into the room, giving the two of us a smile.
"The photographer is looking for you two," Ivan said. I looked at him and nodded, slipping my hand into Dimitri's. I grabbed my cover and Dimitri helped me into it, dipping his head down to kiss the scar that lay under my skin.
I shivered and sighed which came out more of a moan, making Dimitri smirk.
Ivan banged on the door. "You don't have time for a quickie right now unless you want photos of it," Ivan said with a grin. I rolled my eyes and took Dimitri's hand, pulling him towards the door.
The idea of a quickie is tempting, I said to Dimitri, glancing back at him with a sultry smile.
I was just thinking the same thing.
I gasped but it was silenced almost immediately, Dimitri's lips covering mine again. We had started the reception off with a dinner, but now that the party itself was in full swing, we snuck away. There weren't many places we could slink off to, but the small room that was used for storage seemed to do the trick.
And it was quick. We didn't want to be away long enough to be noticed, but the thought had been buzzing around in our heads the whole time we had our photos taken. And while Dimitri didn't have his memories, it didn't feel right to be intimate that way.
But that didn't matter right now, because all I could think about was how good he felt. The slit in my dress became even more helpful, providing us with access. I had my leg hitched around Dimitri's hips, balancing carefully on my high heel shoe while gripping back at the shelving unit.
My veil was on the floor, and Dimitri's tie had joined it, his shirt unbuttoned and his hair free from the bindings that held it at the base of his neck earlier. I closed my eyes as his lifts moved over my skin, down my neck and sucked on it.
My other hand gripped Dimitri's hair, rolling my hips in time with his thrusts. Dimitri's grunted and nipped at my skin when his other hand slipped under my skirt, gripping my other let and lifting me up, wrapping the other one around his hip too.
I sighed as I sank further onto him, cupping his cheeks as he pulled away from the shelving unit and laid me on the table behind him. I wasn't sure what it was used for, but I would make sure someone cleaned it first!
I laid back eagerly and moved my skirt so it was out of the way, welcoming him back to me when he leaned over me. Now that we were in a relatively better position, his thrusts were rougher and faster, his hand gripping the juncture of my neck and shoulder. I couldn't keep my moans silenced anymore, groping my chest with one hand while my other slipped down to rub my clit.
"Fuck you look so good right now," Dimitri groaned, biting his lip as he tried to draw it out, but I could tell neither of us was going to last much longer.
"Just wait for tonight, comrade. I'm going to blow your mind," I moaned, arching back on the table with a yell as my orgasm crashed through me. Dimitri slammed his fist against the table, breaking the wood slightly as he moaned. I bit my lip and closed my eyes, panting quietly as I returned back to my body.
Dimitri blew out a short breath from his lips and kissed my neck as he stood up straight. I smirked smugly at him.
"Good wedding day?"
I snorted a laugh as he pulled out, gripping the condom so he didn't spill. "Good wedding day," I snickered.
Dimitri stepped back and took care of himself as I raised up on my elbows, smirking at him as he retrieved a tissue from his pocket. He pecked my lips and cleaned me up before balling the tissue with the condom.
"I'm not a fan of these, but I guess it was a thoughtful pre-wedding gift from my cousin," Dimitri said as he tossed them into the large garbage can.
"I guess his practical condom joke wasn't so much a joke," I said with a smirk as I fixed my skirt. Dimitri picked up our discarded clothing and carefully tucked my veil back in place while I retied his tie.
"Even though you hate the feeling of them," Dimitri joked. I shrugged and smoothed Dimitri's shirt after he tucked it back into his pants. Dimitri pecked my lips again when there was a knock on the door.
"Are you two done now?" Eddie called out through the door, making my face beat red. I laughed and went to the door, opening it.
"Yeah, we were having a lovely chat," I said as I walked out. Eddie laughed and then stopped me, fastening a few buttons that we missed on my dress and catching some smeared lipstick on my cheek.
"Now I might believe it," he said before appraising Dimitri and then handing him a tissue he had in his pocket, gesturing to his mouth. Dimitri wiped the remnants of my lipstick from his mouth and thanked Eddie quietly.
"Now, let's get back to the party, your bridesmaids were looking for you," Eddie laughed, clapping Dimitri on the shoulder. I smirked at him and patted his back when he slipped an arm around my shoulder.
"I'm very happy for you two," Eddie said as we walked back into the reception hall, "And I couldn't be happier to celebrate with you today."
Dimitri smiled. "We're glad you could be here today," he said. Eddie nodded and kissed my cheek before heading back to mingle, getting pulled into a dance with Lissa. I leaned into Dimitri's side, wrapping my arms around his waist as we looked over our friends and family that gathered to join us on our big day.
Our guests were all having fun, and I was happy to see a room full of so many happy people. Well, there was one that was less than happy, but it was completely by accident that they were here.
"How did I forget that we didn't invite Tasha to our wedding and then inadvertently invite her?" Dimitri asked.
I shrugged. "I'm letting it go for today. I don't want to deal with any of that drama," I said quietly. Dimitri hummed and kissed my hair, running his fingers over my spine.
"I couldn't be happier if I tried today," Dimitri pledged. I looked up at him and smiled, reaching up for a kiss. He returned it eagerly and then towed me out to the dance floor, sweeping me into his arms to the slow music. I rested my head on his chest when I noticed a figure out near the back and I did everything to not alert Dimitri of his presence. I caught Ivan's eye and pointedly looked in the direction I meant, making a face that screamed 'take care of it!'
Ivan and Adrian both walked off to take care of the second unwanted guest while I held Dimitri's attention. I squirmed against him as he ran his fingers over my spine, making me squeal quietly.
"That tickles!" I laughed and he dipped me as we danced, pressing a kiss to my lips as he pulled me back up.
"I know, that's why I did it. I love hearing you laugh," he said softly, resting his head against mine. I sighed and smiled at Olena as she sat in the chair closest to us, a proud smile on her face. Dimitri's sisters all seemed to be tuckered out, most likely from the jetlag, but were gathered together with Lissa, Mia, and Sydney near the dessert bar.
"Today couldn't have gone better if we tried," I whispered. Dimitri kissed my jaw and nodded.
"I agree, my love. Today was perfect," he said. I nodded and let him spin me under his arm before being passed off to Baba while Dimitri took up the next dance with Mom.
The night was a blur and in super focus at the same time. I couldn't contain my laughter when Dimitri was retrieving the garter, purposely tickling the back of my knees as he pulled it down my leg. I accidentally nailed Tasha in the face with the bouquet during the toss, but she had enough grace to laugh it off instead of causing a problem. She even made a point to tell me that she thought my dress was stunning.
The members of the hub were all here, each happy and having the time of their lives. They were happy for our 'legal union' as Malcolm had put it, and we made sure to get a picture of all of us to keep in the library with the other photos that had been taken over the years.
"You've made him so happy," Ivan said quietly when she snagged me away for a dance, both of us glancing in Dimitri's direction.
"I think it's the other way around," I snorted but Ivan shook his head.
"I've known him since we were children, you are truly the best thing that has happened to him. Don't ever sell yourself short. He is the happiest I've ever seen him," Ivan said with a smirk, "I'm happy for the two of you. I've never seen two mates the way you are. You've gone through some much and come out strong."
I smiled and looked at Dimitri again, who was dancing with both of his nieces in his arms.
"I'm pretty lucky, aren't I?" I said softly.
"You both are," Ivan said.
Let me know what you think!:)
