This story is indeed part of the same Multiverse of 'Spider of the Rangers'; those who have read that story may remember another universe shown in chapter 18 and the team that appeared in the latest chapter. Well, this is their origin story.

Sorry it took so long to get this up and running!

On that note, a brief message form justimtaylor:

"Before we get started, we have to stop and pay tribute to a legend gone far too soon. As you all know Jason David Frank whom the Power Rangers fandom know best as Tommy Oliver has passed away at the young age of 49. To lose someone of this magnitude who meant so much to many people's childhoods cannot be understated an inspiration so many people. To all of JDF's fans, friends and family. We send our condolences and love. If you or anyone you know needs help, PLEASE don't hesitate to seek out resources like the suicide hotline or confide in loved ones. Now with that, let's get started!"

This is an amalgamation universe, with pieces of Power Rangers, Super Sentai, Kamen Rider, SSS Gridman/ Superhuman Samurai Cyber Squad and GARO thrown in on top of the My Hero Academia story. This story was begun before certain reveals were made in the manga and changes will not be done to sit with said reveals. You'll know them when you see them. Please respect the changes.

With that, read, review, make suggestions (most of the story has been planned out, but I love hearing reader ideas) and enjoy!

Chapter 1: History Lesson

Hisashi Midoriya, a writer and producer for Saban and Toei Entertainment, was happy to be coming home; six months away from his beloved wife Inko and adorable son Izuku was too far long for him.

He was a simple man after all; all he had ever really wanted to do was tell stories, get married and be a good father. He had missed Izuku's fourth birthday due to his bosses keeping him working and missing his flight, which had irritated him to no end the past month.

So much so, that he had up and left the US without telling anyone but leaving his notes and a few almost finished scripts. The shows could last a week or two without him.

Then again, there was the time he left for a while and trusted them to handle 'Operation Overdrive….'

Shaking his head away from those memories, the father stepped into his apartment.

"Inko-honey! Izu-buddy! I'm home!" He let out cheerfully, eagerly awaiting his beautiful wife to come racing into his arms and kiss him while he son hugged at his legs cheerfully.

Only, that didn't happen. In fact, for a full minute, there was no sound or movement in their apartment.

"Inko?" Hisashi called out. "Izuku?"

Maybe they were out? It was around dinner time…

Then he heard the sniffling. Worry overtook the father, who raced towards the source: His son's room.

There he found the love and light of his life, tearstained and holding onto each other as an All Might video played.

"Inko? Izuku?" He asked in worry, getting their attention.

"H-Hisashi?!" Inko, half sobbing and half startled, rushed to her feet. "W-when did…? How long…?"

"Just now." Hisashi said. "What…?"

"Daddy? do you think...I can become like that?" Izuku asked his father tearfully, pointing to the video.

Hisashi rose an eyebrow in confusion; why would…Of course his boy could be a hero like All Mi…

Then he saw the doctor's report. And in font that overtook the entire lower half of the sheet, the worst word in any language:

QUIRKLESS.

"I'm sorry…!" Inko sobbed, now holding onto her husband. "I'm…I'm sorry…It's all my...! I shouldn't have….!"

Hisashi gently placed a finger over his wife's lips and then dried her eyes with his free hand before kissing her forehead. He then knelt down and picked up his son, doing the same before making his way to the bookshelf in the living room. He tossed several books aside, revealing what looked like a safe with a unique symbol on it: A stylized lighting bolt that ended in a fist.

"Hisashi!" Inko called out in worry.

"I know, I know." Hisashi told his wife before adjusting his son into his arms and looking at him with a sad smile. "We were going to wait until you were a little older, Izu, but..."

He pressed his fist to the symbol, which opened up to reveal a red coin inside, along with what looked like a wrist mounted radio. Hisashi pressed on the coin as a green, red and black light overtook the family, who vanished.

Across Japan, not too far from Mustafa but still not too close, several similar looking 'beepers' shone.

"Of course, he calls when I'm a week away..." Beru Asui smirked with a shaking of her head and looking down at her belly, heavily pregnant. Still, a happy smile overtook her face. "Tsuyu?"

"Coming, mama." Her daughter said, leaping over as Beru pulled out a green coin from her purse.

Maji Ashido smiled when he got the notification, leaping to his feet.

"Finally, some action!" He beamed. He'd been behind the desk too long! He then remembered the other person in the room. "Mina, sweetheart?"

"Yes, daddy?" The pink skinned and bushy haired little girl with midnight eyes and tiny horns asked.

"Do you want to see something cool? Something only…like, ten other people get to see?"

Mina nodded happily as she leapt into her father's arms, a pink light overtaking them.

"Mom! Dad! I'm taking Tenya out for a bit!" Tensei Ida, AKA Ingenium, called out to his parents with his little brother in tow.

"HOLD IT!" Their father, Jet Ida, called out, hurriedly catching up to them while holding a blue coin. Tensei's eyes widened in shock but the turned giddy with delight.

"Change of plans, Tenya; today you learn something know one else does or will!"

The bespecled boy was somewhat annoyed that his time with his brother was cut short, but if this could help him become as great as Tensei, Jet or their grandpa? He supposed it could wait.

Tensei handed his brother over to Jet just as a blue light overtook them.

This was just what she needed: Enji was out on a case, Natsuo and Fuyumi where with their grandparents and it was just her and her two younger boys at home; the brothers practicing their fire powers.

"Come along Touya." Rei Todoroki smiled happily as she held her own coin, this one Silver. "Bring Shoto with you."

The white haired boy smiled and picked up his youngest brother as they latched onto their mother, a silver light overtaking them,

In a plane high in the sky, a yellow coin also glowed, but due to turbulence, it went ignored…

And by turbulence, I mean…as the plane began to fall towards a mountain….

When Izuku opened his eyes, he and his parents were in what looked like a cave, but it was bright and filled with monitors, screens and devices that made him think of the old science-fiction movies his mommy would watch.

"Man, the memories here…" Hisashi beamed.

"Place hasn't changed at all." Inko smiled as she took Izuku into her arms.

"Well, you know how Alpha gets…" A new voice cut in.

The Midoriyas turned to see they weren't alone.

"JET! MAJI! REI! BERU!" Hisashi beamed, racing towards them as they did the same.

"Nice to see you again, Fire-Spitter!" Maji chuckled

"Careful; only Togo got to call him that." Beru noted.

"He ain't here yet, I'm maxing out the time!"

"Looking good, Hisashi." Rei smiled softly.

"You too Rei." Hisashi smiled before he spied someone behind Rei. "Touya? Is that you, little buddy?"

"…Hi Uncle Sashi." The white-haired boy smiled

"Uncle?" Shoto asked his big brother. "But Mama and the old man don't have siblings…"

"Not by blood maybe." Jet tried to explain. "But your mama, myself and your uncle went through so much together, we call each other siblings."

"Father?" Tenya asked, pointing to the others.

"Oh! Sorry, Tenya! Everyone, this is my youngest, Tenya. Tensei had to head into work when I got the call…"

Speaking of call, one of the monitors buzzed to life, revealing a man in glasses with orangeish brown hair

"I'm here! I'm here! What's up?!"

"Davey!" Inko smiled, waving happily. "Long time no see, right?"

'Davey' looked around and adopted an annoyed smile.

"Hey Inko. Yeah been too long."

"So, Mr. Nobel Prize, how's fatherhood treating you?" Beru asked.

"Melissa is wonderful as always. She's fast asleep though, so…."

No one noticed the sad look on Touya's face.

"We understand. Other side of the world and all." Hisashi sighed. "Well, do call when you can, we miss you buddy."

David smiled back and ended the call, falling right back to sleep.

Meanwhile, Rei and Beru were catching up with Inko, hugging her happily, but also being careful with Beru.

"Oh my…Is THIS little Izuku?" Beru cooed when she spied the boy at his mother's side.

"He looks so much like Hisashi…." Rei smiled. "Do you remember us, Izuku? I don't suppose so, you were just a baby…"

"I certainly do!"

All turned to see a…

"COOL ROBOT!" Mina cheered as she raced to inspect the newcomer: A bright red and gold android with a visor for a head. The other children quickly raced to join her, minus Touya, who was stopped by Hisashi.

"What happened?" Hisashi asked the boy, pointing at a burn with a serious look on his face.

"….Training." Touya said. Hisashi rose an eyebrow. "I need to be strong if I'm going to be number one! Like you and the old man!"

"Touya, training is important." Hisashi admitted. "But please…PLEASE…don't overdo it. Your mom and I'd rather you take your time and arrive at the finish line in one piece…and preferably with your cute face."

"Uncle Sashi!" Touya laughed as his uncle nuzzled his nose.

"Not stopping until you promise!" Hisashi smirked, laughing along with Touya before he felt a tug on his leg. "Oh, I'm sorry buddy!"

He then took Izuku into his arms and nuzzled his nose, making his son smile and giggle. Hisashi then stopped and reached behind his back, revealing an All Might Bronze Age Action figure.

"Happy birthday kiddo." Hisashi beamed. "Now go have fun with Alpha."

Izuku took the toy and raced to inspect the robot with the other kids.

"Aye-aye-aye-aye-aye-aye!" The robot suddenly called out as four year olds clamored all over him, shooting a hundred questions about 'Quirks', how old he was, how he functioned, if he felt pain and or had any rocket weapons….. "HISASHI! JET! MAJI! BERU! COME GET YOUR KIDS OFF ME!

The adults all laughed at the scene, Inko and Beru even snapping pictures. Shoto alone had not joined in, smiling at the scene and helping the others when they fell off. They'd all said thank you, with izuku even staying a little to ask Shoto something….

"AND JUST WHAT IS GOING ON?!"

The adults all stopped laughing and winced at the sudden shouting, but not just that. No, the kids could tell that their parents were familiar with the voice….and they were terrified.

The shouter was a very, very short old man, no taller than the children. He was hunched over and used a crude, larger walking stick.

"S-S-S-S-SORAHIKO-SAMA!" The adults all whimpered before adopting desperate smiles and racing to him.

"You look tense, let me message your shoulders!" Jet smiled

"I think I remember where the kettle is, I'll put on some tea!" Beru hurriedly added.

"I'll get your favorite chair, master! Fluff the pillows and everything!" Rei desperately

"Sorahiko-Sama, I was beginning to hope…. I-I MEAN LOSE, yeah that's right: I was beginning to lose hope that I'd never again see your….!" Maji started, hugging the old man.

"Shove it."

"Yessir." The adults all whimpered as they sat on their knees, stiff as boards.

"Who got here first?" Sorahiko demanded.

The other parents all pointed to Hisashi

"M-master!" Hisashi gasped, a weak smile on his face. "I didn't think you'd..."

The little old man's foot was suddenly in Hisashi's face and sent the green haired man flying backwards.

"Hisashi!" Inko called out in worry.

"Daddy!" Izuku followed in suit.

"NO VIOLENCE IN THE COMMAND CENTER!" Alpha begged loudly.

"What the heck do you think you're doing, ya stupid boy?! Bringing that old piece of junk out without an actual problem!"

"Hello? I am standing right here." Alpha groaned.

"Um, Alpha? I think he means the beeper." Izuku said.

"…a beeper? That's what you think this is? A MERE BEEPER?!" The robot began to rave, only to be silenced by the following conversation.

"I'm TRYING to be a good father!" Hisashi retorted angrily, but with a measure of fear clear in his tone.

"How are you doing that by showing of to...!" The old man started.

"Sorahiko!"

The tiny old man saw his proteges had not come alone; there were young ones with them…and one very special 'civilain'.

"Inko-chan?" The old man asked in disbelief, his mood now softened.

Inko's gentle smile returned, and she knelt to give the old man a hug, which he quickly returned with a warm smile on his face.

"Its been far too long. Are you eating healthy?" Inko asked knowingly.

"Of course, Inko-chan." Sorahiko smiled honestly, only for a very large bag of various sweets to plop out from behind his back.

Inko rose an eyebrow.

"Um...they're for the kids?" He weakly said.

"CANDY!" Mina beamed as she raced towards the sweets, Tsuyu and Shoto following in suit. They ripped open the bag, making the adults delight in seeing their torturer-MENTOR whimper at the loss of the sweets.

"Go on Tenya." Tensei gently pushed his brother forward, who reluctantly joined the other children, Shoto handing him a small box.

"You too, Izuku." Inko cooed to her little boy.

"What's your favourite?" Tsuyu asked suddenly. "Birthday boy should get his favourite, after all."

The old man whimpered at the sight of his sweets being devoured; he'd been waiting all month for a cheat day! Then again, tomorrow was a day off as well….

"When you've got your candy, sit down and settle in kids." Maji smiled. "You're in for a heck of a tale."

MHPR

'It all started way before Quirks were normal. IF we're being specific, it all started during WW2.

The emperor of Japan got it into his head he was a god...and well, his little declaration was heard by several beings of grand power; few of them earth or mortal bound. And sadly, space travel was still considered impossible and not a real priority…nor was it remotely affordable with or after the war. So, when the Axis powers lost, the earth had NO one to defend it from invasions of aliens and monsters.'

"Yes, monsters and aliens do exist." Beru added.

"Yippee!" Mina beamed.

"Although they've been here so long, its rarely easy to see and identify them, especially with Quirks interfering and all that. Back to the story…"

'These forces, often disguised as corporations, began to mutate, tinker, ravage and otherwise cause harm to our world. Their most basic foot soldiers could level armies and the resources they both gained and stole drawfed anything humanity had to defend itself with.

At least...at first.

Around 1960 something, a few humans had allied with the invaders or had become aware of them. They ended up taking the technology or magic of the invaders and with nothing more than human grit and determination, used temporary access to powers beyond their comprehension to defend the weak and vanish evil.

And the most prominent of these groups was the Super Sentai, or Power Rangers in the states; Color-coded warrior who used amazing technology, poses and teamwork to battle threats and put civilian's fears to rest.

Red Rangers, often the leaders, were passionate and determined. Blue Rangers were intelligent and diligent. Black Rangers were loyal to the core. Green Rangers were unstoppable forces…and often more lighthearted than their allies. Yellow Rangers were the team combat expert and finally, Pink Rangers? They were always the heart and moral compass of the team.

They operated on three simple rules: Firstly, only use power to defend. Secondly, never reveal your identity. And finally, and most importantly? Earth's Defenders Never surrender

Whenever one threat was ended, the team would disband and pass their powers onto a new group whenever a new threat arose. For many years, they were a staple of Japanese and even western culture... But then Quirks manifested."

This got the kids' attention, especially the sad looks on the adults faces as they continued their story.

"Suddenly, the term 'hero' became a job; something you needed training and a license to do. When they refused to identify themselves or where they got their powers and tech, the Rangers were declared criminals and forced to battle evil in the shadows."

"But that did that stop them? HECK NO!" Maji and Jet shouted together.

"The Rangers kept operating in secret, disguised as TV shows and movies!" Rei cheered. "And then there was our group; the Hero-Man team."

"…Hero Man?" Shoto asked, unamused.

"Every other good name was copyrighted." Beru sighed, the others nodding in agreement, before looking over to Alpha.

"Oh okay. Just this once." The robot sighed.

The adults looked to Sorahiko, who grumbled but motioned them to go for it. With smiles on their faces, the parents each pulled out a device like the one Hisashi had used and shouted:

"GO HERO CHANGE!"

A bright color enveloped the room, and soon, where once stood their parents, the children saw people in colorful costumes and helmets that looked like domino-masks.

"Hero Red!" Hisashi smirked under his helmet.

"Hero Blue!" Jet followed with a swipe.

"Hero Green!" Beru saluted.

"Hero Pink!" Maji leapt up and down.

"Hero Silver!" Rei called out

"And if he was here, we'd also show you kids Toguro Toga AKA Hero Yellow. Quirk: Bloody Body."

Sorahiko's frown turned to one of confusion

"Come to think of it, where IS that stupid boy? He'd be chomping at the bid to talk about this…"

"Probably flying over Tibet about now, he's got a match in Egland in three days." Everyone looked at Hisashi. "…. Just because we parted on bad terms doesn't mean I don't look in on my brother."

"Wait, I have another uncle?" Izuku asked, confused.

"Adopted uncle." Sorahiko and Hisashi said together.

The room went silent for a moment, before Sorahiko finally asked:

"What caused all this, son?"

The mood of the Midoriya family dampened even further, and instantly they all understood.

"Oh no…" Maji gasped.

"Its'….'that'?"

They all nodded.

"Its what?" Tsuyu asked. "What is it?"

"I want to be a hero….but I'm Quirkless." Izuku admitted, already imaging all the happiness leaving in Commander Center.

"Well in that case, you should consider police work or emergancey services." Tenya pointed out. "After all, Heroics is no place for…"

He was silenced by a whack on the head by an ENRAGED Touya.

"TOUYA!" Rei snapped.

"Sut up, you four eyed brat! Uncle Sashi's the greatest Ranger of all time, and he NEVER uses his Quirk! Heck, he hates it!"

Touya whacking Tenya was forgotten, Izuku looking at his father in shock and awe.

"Ooooh, I've been waiting to do this!" Alpha smirked as he pressed a button. The floor opened up, revealing four costumes:

The first was green and golden, resembling a dragon. The second was white, gold and black, looking like a tiger. The third was his Hero-Man Costume and the fourth and final costume was black and gold in the shape of a brachosarus.

"Its true, sport." Jet smirked as he knelt down to Izuku's level. "Your daddy's been one of the few Rangers to have different colors…and by the looks of it, be on other teams, when the heck did the Black one happen?"

"Overseas last year." Hisashi explained. "Team Dino Fury. A kid I'm tutoring in writing, an heiress, an unknown genius and the son of a work colleague…whose story is a lot like mine when we started out….I'll tell ya more later."

"Wait, didn't you also go full Yellow once?" Rei asked. "It was only for a day, yeah, but…"

"Oh yeah, Mystic force." Inko remembered. "I liked that costume…"

The kids were now looking at their uncle as if he were All Might: The GREATEST of this group? Multiple teams? Fighting all sorts of monsters and villains?

"Izuku?" Hisashi smiled, getting down to his son's level. "If you're willing to work for it? Put in time and effort? And keep all this a secret until the right time? You can DEFINITELY become a hero."

The little boy hugged his father's legs with all his strength, tears streaking down his face. Hisashi simply smiled and returned the hug, taking his son into his arms.

"Now...Who wants take-out?"

And thus, we end the first chapter of part one of this project. How was it?

To fans of Operation Overdrive, I am sorry, I HAD to make a reference. Honestly, I like the idea, but the execuetion of certains aspects I feel could've been better.

Not entirely certain if I'll do the 'Dino Fury' story; inspired by Ficton Relam's own Power Ranger story; Avian Strike. Give it a read when you can! If anyone is interested, please let me know.

This story will be spilt into a trilogy of 14-chapter stories, with a possible fourth finale. Most of the story has been laid out, but if you have suggestions/questions, feel free to PM or leave them in a review

Next time: We finally meet Togoro and things change in the lives of the Midoriyas!

Until then? Keep warm and safe!
