Okay, I tried to hold off, but I can't keep it in anymore. It's time for the stand-alone story with everyone's favorite triple demon, Cerberus. Out of all the ideas I was given, there was only one given to me. I can't remember who gave me the idea, but it was the idea where Danny saved three dogs that turned out to be Cerberus themselves. And I don't think I was given an idea of how they got out of hell. Anyways, this chapter is the first meeting between Danny and Cerberus. This might be another one of my stories where Danny doesn't get any powers. I haven't fully decided on that yet. I'm also going to do something I did in Phantom's Angels, having Danny meet Cerebus for the first time as a child.
A young boy walked down the street, his parents agreeing to take him to the Observatory due to being on his best behavior for the week. He couldn't wait to see the stars and look through the giant telescope. Both Jack and Maddie smile. They always love seeing their kids happy. Jack even mention it there was something he love more than ghosts it was his family.
"Don't run too far ahead, Danny," Maddie called out.
"I won't!" The boy said, jumping around.
"Kids. They can drive you crazy, but you can't help but love them." Maddie said, shaking her head.
"More than you know." Jack agreed, giving a one-arm hug to his wife.
They soon reach the Observatory where there was a long line. Danny frowns, thinking it was going to take forever. Since the line was going to take a while, Jack and Maddie decide to grab their kids something to snack on. Danny and his older sister, Jazz sat down as their parents told them to stay there as they when to get something. Danny frowns, feeling a little restless.
"Danny, please calm down." Jazz told him, knowing he wanted to go into the Observatory.
"I waited all week for this! Stupid line." Danny groans.
Jazz frowns, knowing her brother was still young. Danny pouts before hearing something yelping. He turns to a nearby alley and heard something again. He hops off his seat and runs toward the alley. He peeks into the alley and saw three boys kicking three white dogs. They were laughing and having fun at the three pups' whines. Danny narrowed his eyes, knowing they were mistreating them.
"Stop that!" He shouted, making the three boys turn.
"Well, look at what we have here. It's Freak-ton!" One of the boys said, turning from the three pups.
"Dashy," Danny said, causing the other two to burst out laughing.
Dash groans as his face turned red.
"It's Dash! And for that, we're going to beat you!" He said, marching up to Danny.
"Danny? What are you doing?"
Jazz noticed her brother had run off and was able to find him, along with Dash and a few of his friends.
"What's going on here?" She asked.
Dash and a few of his goons were kicking some puppies!" Danny said, making Jazz look at them.
She heard a whine and notices the pups behind him. Glaring, Jazz march up to Dash, who backs away.
"Listen here, Dashel, I don't like how you would treat animals like they're nothing." She said as Danny rushed over to check on the pups.
"Hey!" Dash said, trying to grab him.
"And I don't like how you treat my brother! That's why I refuse to hang out with you! You're a bully and I hate bullies!" Jazz said.
Danny carefully pets one of the puppies' heads, hearing it whine a little.
"It's okay. I'm not going to hurt you." He whispers, trying to make them feel better.
The middle pup looks at him before licking his hand. Danny smiles before carefully picking up the puppies.
"Don't worry, I'll take care of you." He told them before walking back to his sister.
Jazz sighed, she knew they would have to explain this to their parents. Dash looked ready to stop Dany, but Jazz got in his way again.
"Leave my brother alone." She said before following Danny out of the alley.
Later,
Danny and Jazz told their parents about the puppies and Danny wanted to keep them. After much begging, Danny was allowed to keep them as long as he take care of them. Jazz helped him clean the puppies up and dressed their wounds. Now to give them a name. Danny notice that the three pups slept together strangely. The pups were so close together, the other two looked like their heads were a part of the middle pup.
"Cerberus." He said, making his sister look.
"Yeah, I see it too." She said.
They soon headed towards the kitchen, ready to get something to eat. Little did they know, the pups had opened their eyes and watched them walk away. The three pups looked at each other before nodding.
Night fell, and Danny was tucked in bed. After his mother kissed him good night, Danny close his eyes to go to sleep. He soon heard some whining and looks down to see Cerberus trying to jump on his bed. Smiling, Danny reached down and pick up the pups one by one. Danny lays back down before the pups lay with him. Two lay on his sides with one next to his head.
"Alright, Cerberus. It's time to sleep now." He told the pups.
The pups yawn, feeling tired themselves. They soon lay their head down and fell asleep with Danny.
The following day, Danny yawns as the sun shines in his eyes. For a second, he thought he was dreaming about yesterday. He felt something soft rub against him and went to scratch one of the pup's ears.
"Hmm, that feels nice. A little lower, please."
Danny blinks, hearing a new voice in his bed. He looks and saw a young girl with long white hair, dog ears, and a long thin tail with an arrow point at the end. He looked down and saw two more girls who looked just like the first. One of them yawn as she sat up to rub her eye.
"Morning, already?" She asked, groggy.
"Want to sleep more. Master feels nice and warm." The third girl said.
Danny blinks before the first girl seems to notice something.
"I'm...back to normal?!" She said, making the other two notice.
"We're back to normal!" They said.
The girls jump out of Danny's bed, rushing towards a mirror. They looked into the mirror and check themselves out. They then smile before jumping up and down.
"We're back to normal! The spell has been broken!" They cheered.
"Spell?" Danny asked, confused.
"Yes, Master! We were sure if it was going to work, but you free us from the spell that turns us into normal dogs." They said at once.
"What are you talking about? Who are you?" Danny asked, lost.
The girls all went into a thinking pose before snapping their fingers at the same time.
"Maybe this will help." They said.
The left and right girls walk behind the middle one, making it look like their bodies fuse into one. They did place their heads on the shoulders of the middle girl, causing Danny to know who they were.
"C-Cerberus?!" He asked, shocked.
"That's us, Master Danny!" They cheered, spiting up.
"But how? Why?" Danny said, lost.
"It's a long story. We tell your family too!" Cerberus said before they hugged him.
"Master's parents said you have to take care of us! We'll protect master with our life!" They said, leaving the poor boy confused.
Danny's parents and Jazz all stare in shock when Danny came down with three girls. Though still confused, Danny told them they were the pups he saved. Cerberus did running around the room, looking like excited puppies. It took them a few minutes to have them sit down and explain themselves.
"Are you sure they are the puppies you found?" Jazz asked.
"I think so?" Danny said, unsure.
"If you three were puppies, then how are you little girls?" Jack asked.
"Right! What we have to tell you is going to sound unbelievable!" Cerberus said, speaking at once.
"First off, we're not normal girls." The first one said.
"We're from a plan you only heard of." The middle one added.
"We're actually demons!" The third finished.
"Demons?" Danny asked, confused.
"Demon-dogs, actually. We use to live in Hell itself." Cerberus said, surprising Jack and Maddie.
"But if you're dogs, then why do you look like girls?" Jazz asked.
"It's how we were born," Cerberus told her.
"Why do you speak like that? Like all three of you are on the same page or something?" Danny asked.
"A demon can have many bodies. But we're still the same demon. We share a single soul across all three bodies." Cerberus explained.
Danny and Jazz didn't get it, but Jack and Maddie knew what they met.
"Then how did you become actual dogs?" Jack asked.
"We were bored one day and decided to play some tricks on our fellow demons to pass the time. Sadly, one of our pranks went too far and we were cursed to be normal dogs. We were even kicked out of hell. Lots of people mistreated us. That's is, until Master Danny saved us!" Cerberus said as all three girls hugged the confused boy.
"How did he save you?" Jazz asked.
"Don't know. We're just happy to be normal again!" Cerberus said, shrugging.
Danny and Jazz were still confused, but Jack and Maddie sighed.
"Well, since you're back to normal, what will you three do now?" Maddie asked.
"Since Master Danny saved us, we'll protect Master Danny! And his family!" Cerberus said, their tails wagging.
Jack and Maddie could see that they weren't going to leave their son. Even if they are demons, they were still young girls. Made them wonder how different their lives will be with these three.
As I mention, I tried to avoid writing this one until I got more of Phantom's Angel, Danny and Lucifer, and Gamer Demon done, but this idea won't leave my mind. So, I wrote the first chapter to help get it out. So, Danny finds and saves three puppies which turned out to be three demons named Cerberus. And it turns out they're going to be staying with the Fentons. Who knows what will happen during that time.
A few things, One, I did have some trouble finding a cover for this story since some images of Cerberus are "too big" by Fanfiction's standards. You can't even resize to them fit, causing lots of the image to be cut. Some I found look small, but could still be too big when I tried to load them up. I did find one that I think will fit, but even I'm unsure.
And two, I would have had this up on Saturday, but the internet turned off, and I had to wait until today for it to get turned back on. I had other things to keep me busy, but I hate when the internet turns off with no warning.
