Zelda Breath Of The Wild Fan Fiction...

Link swirls around just in time to see a club swinging aggressively at his head in full speed. Just in time, he rolls on the fresh lime coloured grass away from the bat. The Moblin charges again his eyes trying to focus while Link swiftly grabs his sword and with one swing...swoosh a purple mist puff of smoke forms in front of his eyes as the monster disappears. He puts his sword away, one more divine beast to go before he can save the princess from the hands of Ganon. He swings himself on his horse, grabs the reigns and gallops off leaving behind the monster's club.

He stares at the stable insight as his horse Epona canters towards it. They come across a big bridge with a deep, harsh river that stares back at Link aggressively. Epona suddenly rears and Links eyes swivel towards another monster. He sighs as he pulls an arrow with his wooden bow. Then he catches sight of a woman, well same age roughly as him. She is unconscious thanks to the monster. He shoots but this monster is not as easy. It charges and with its rusty but sharp sword and attacks Epona. The terrified horse rears and tries to kick it with its hind legs.

"Whoa easy girl. Stop. Cam down" Link commands, as he jumps off Epona and grabs his shield as the moblin swipes with his sword multiple times, wearing himself out. Links hand starts to sweats as he grips the shield so tightly. Suddenly, the monster trips over his own feet and then Link strikes. There goes the purple mist again and the rusty sword left behind. The young women is pale and frail and defiantly unconscious. The stable is near and Link doesn't want to leave her out on this wooden rickety bridge where the monsters lurk. Link scoops her up in his arms and whistles softly for Epona who comes limping behind him. Epona and Link walk to the stables and the young woman twitches in Links arm. He glances at her face. Long dark hair and a pale face. She wears a navy tunic and black leggings with brown clumpy boots. Link looks back up and the stable is here, horses being looked after outside and in the inside of the building are the beds with a desk if you want to sleep or board a horse. Link rents a bed for the night for the young lady. He gently lays her down and pulls the thin sheet over her as a source of comfort and warmth. He goes outside and tends to Epona's wounds.

Sunset occurs and he checks in on the young lady and sees her awake, she has propped herself on her elbows with a confused look on her face. Link blinks, her eyes are green, like the lime green grass. It's a wonderful colour he thinks to himself as he walks over to her. "Hey" he says softly, hands in pockets. "Hi, you...helped me?" she frowns trying to remember what happened. "Yeah, how did you know?" he reply's his voice still soft as he knows she has only just woken up. "I saw you a few times before I blacked out again. First fighting the monster then carrying me to the stables." She whispers, a soft smile on her face as if she remembered something special. "Oh..." he says not sure what to say next. "Thank you, for everything" she smiles, a weak one but still there. Link smiles and their silence speaks volume. Link turns to leave. "Wait, stay with me please. You look like the person who tells adventures." she pleads and Link stares into the darkening night. "sure" and he pulls a seat next to her and tells her all the adventures he has been on. Only thing is she doesn't know he is Zelda's appointed knight and is meant to defeat Ganon. He leaves that part out, people treat him different when they know, and he knows this from lots of experiences. The moon is high in the sky. Midnight. "There was one time when I went to Hanteo village and accidently burned all the crops. I ran away before anyone can see but then I fell in the small river and everyone saw that" he chuckled as he told one of the many memories, he hadn't told to the young woman, whose name is Yasmine. Yasmine laughs her eyes and mind content with stories and adventures. Her eyes start to droop and so does Links. He is shivering from the cold breeze. "Sit here with me" Yasmine murmurs her eyes closing. Without hesitation Link stumbles into the warm bed and they quickly fall fast asleep.

Link wakes up to see Yasmine's head on his shoulder. Now Link is only Zelda's appointed knight but everyone thinks there is a relationship, a love one, going on and Zelda did try once or twice but Link never thought of her like that but he still felt like he betrayed Zelda even though he just slept and only slept with another lady.

"Ughhh" groans Yasmine waking up rubbing her eyes. She smiles at Link and he does the same back. "I guess you better be off to more adventures?" she asks with a slight sad tone she did not mean to add. Guess her emotions got the better of her. Link nods, as well feeling miserable he is going, not telling her adventures or seeing her beautiful face. "I want to help you have more adventures" she adds, a smirk on her face. Link starts to say "You can't come with me I want you to but-" he can't talk anymore because a sweet kiss is planted on is lips. He kisses back putting a hand around her neck as she pulls Link closer. Suddenly, Link kisses harder and so does she. He pushes her against the wall as they kiss. His hand brushes over her breasts and she takes a sharp deep breath. He pulls away softly and whispers "Part two of the adventure comes soon" he says with a smirk and a wink.

Link looks back at the stable one last time, glancing at the young lady he fell in love with. Epona heads towards the east, Gerudo desert, to the last divine beast. The trees provide shade, even though it's a watery sun. They gallop further and further. Link nearly nodding off to sleep every now and then as he barely got any sleep last night because of him telling her all the stories and adventures he had ever been on. He did leave out the part of being Zelda's appointed knight and Zelda wanting a love thing with Link which he disagrees with and he left out he needs to conquer the divine beasts to defeat Ganon and free Zelda. He soon came across a canyon with parts of sand, meaning he is near the desert also meaning he is near to conquer that last divine beast. It's coming up night and he hates with a passion traveling in the night. He sits upon a huge rock in the canyon, the wind blowing little bits of grinds of sand in his face. He lays there Epona lies near him and he sighs wishing for Yasmine, wishing to not have to kill Ganon and free Zelda, he wants a normal life with Yasmin.

He wakes up, grains of sand in his eyes and he quickly rubs his tired eyes while he wakes up Epona. "Come on girl, up you get, just travel through the canyon and we will come across a stable then you can rest" comforts Link and she gets up and if horses could pull a sad face she would be doing so. Link dug out an apple from his pocket and put it in his hand as Epona leant over to eat. Her fur brushes his hand and her big brown eyes close as she eats. A smile forms on Links face taking in natures beauty.

Epona canters through the canyon, Eagles squawk and the echo flies around. It's hot but not too hot. "Well done girl not long now till were at the stable and-" before Link can finish a crash of boulders roll down from the top of the canyon. "WHAT IN THE WORLD-" Link screams but suddenly a boulder is going full speed at Epona. "EPONA FASTER" snaps Link swerving her away from all the boulders that fall off the large cliff. They slow down as no more boulders appear they are both out of breath and terrified. The stable is near, they trot there and soon they arrive. "Geez rough ride" comments Link sliding off Epona and giving her a pat and treats. He boards Epona so she can get rest. He sits on a stool outside the stable. "Rough time by the canyon and the desert in it?" murmurs a man looking at his large scars on his arms and legs. Link nods, not scared of this man, he may look bulky and rough and tough and slightly dangerous. But I have faced worst anyway this man seems friendly enough, Link thinks. "Yeah, what's for the boulders" Link sighs then wolfs down a Hylan mushroom. "Not sure, can't lie. Rumor has it a ghost horse. Died right there and then. Only the owner knows why it died. Hes to bashed up by the boulders to speak. When he has recovered ask him, eh?" the man suggests. Link nods and gets up to travel through the desert. He nods at the man and walks to the desert. There is a half standing archway that looks like it might crumble on you. But it separates the desert and the canyon. He cautiously treads through it.

The sun beats down on him as he trudges through the sand. The vast desert ripples before his eyes because of the heat. He wishes he had Epona but he can't because of the heat. His throat is dry and dehydrated but when he looks around for a lake or anything all he sees is sand. Dusty sand. Untamed sand. Everlasting sand. Uninviting sand. His head spins. Hot wind flies around him, sand attacking him. His head throbs and everything blurs. "Focus, focus, focus..." he tries to convince himself he can do it but everything blurs. He takes off his shirt which doesn't help. It feels like a laser is burning through his back, obviously it's the sun but it's too hot. He collapses the world spinning around him. A tall person appears with black hair tied in a spiky ponytail and wearing black... wait Yasmine had black leggings! Had did she find him? "Yasmine..." he whispers before blacking out.

He wakes up on stone cold floor. His head hurts and his body weak. His eyes adjust. He looks around. Bars. "What in the world?" he whispers to himself standing up. "Yasmine, where are you?" he asks staring through the bars. Yiga clan. Makes sense. The black haired tied in a spiky ponytail, Yiga clan. Black and red clothes. Everything clicks. He collapsed in the desert and saw a Yiga clan but he was hallucinating so instead he saw Yasmine. They must of took him to their den. He tried to shake the bars. Nope. Nothing. He sat in the corner not sure what to do next. "Oi you! Dinner" commands a Yiga clan and throws him a banana. "Wait, I have a secret. Only you will know" whispers Link beckoning him forward. The Yiga's eyes grow wide. "TELL ME, TELL ME" It squeals excited to hear some gossip to spread. "Well, I have an um... magic power I need a bigger space than this small cold room to show you" Link lies and while he talks, he slips his arms through the bar and grabs the key off his waist. "YOU DARE TRY TO FOOL ME! YOU MADE A MISTAKE" bellows the Yiga, pulling out a scimitar and swipes Link. Link soon realizes he has no weapons and is defenceless. The Yiga kicks Link multiple times and he curls up embraced for the impact. Finally, the Yiga leaves and Link gets up limping bad. Only good thing is that he got the key, the stupid thing forgot to take it back.

When the time is right, he unlocks the cell, his hands and his right leg shaking violently. He gets out the cell and he is about to leave when a Yiga comes up to him. His eyes are fill with no more hope and he walks back to his cell, defeated. The Yiga follows. Suddenly the Yiga takes off their mask. It's a Gerudo lady. What's happening? Link thinks his mind whirring with options. The Gerudo lady whispers "I dressed up as a Yiga to get the thunder helm, you know the possession that belonged to Lady Urbosa. And now belongs to our chief. They stole it and now I'm here to return it. But since you're the hero of Hyrule and are going to conquer the divine beast then I shall give it to you to return. Afterall I'm old now, I just wanted to do something for my place and I did" she gives Link a box and Link opens it too see the Thunder helm. "No, you take it back not me I will save the Divine beast anyway I promise" Link explains and pushes the box back to her, but she shook her head sadly. "Take it and if you want to know a bit more about me ask people from Gerudo say whose Angler." commands the lady then she yells "I found the Yiga Clan hideout" suddenly a swarm of Yigas come after her. Link hides behind a pillar and watches sadly as she gets taken away. Her eyes say a story that's for sure. Link runs out their hideout and doesn't look back.

He makes his way back into the desert this time sticking to the shade, eating juicy fruits for liquids and willing himself to stay awake for Angler, the divine beast and most of all Yasmine. After what feels like an age travelling in the vast desert, he reaches Gerudo town. He looks back and realizes he skirted around Kara Kara Bazar. He laughs how stupid he is and strides in the town. There is an archway and lots of stalls with food, clothes, weapons and there are huge stairs that lead up to a huge room, probably the Chiefs room. "Stand back where do you think you're going?" asks the guard pointing her spear at Link. "Inside maybe?" Links asks rolling his gorgeous blue eyes, crossing his arms. The guard jabs the spear slightly harder at his chest. "NO VOES ALLOWED UNDERSTOOD?" she commands, her eyebrows knit together. He opens the box slightly revealing the Thunder Helm. "Where did you get that?" the other lady guard whispers drawing her breath. "Let me in and return it to the chief!" Link replies holding his head high. The guards discuss and nod. "We can't let a voe in even if he is the King but since you are the champion who is Zeldas appointed knight and maybe boyfriend and you are going to save our divine beast AND return the Thunder Helm then...put this on" the guards say thoughtfully chucking Link a navy, gem embraided cloak and navy high heels with a sapphire necklace. "I'm not putting this on and just for your information were not dating I love someone else" Link confirms. They open their mouths "Someone else? Who? And put it on or not allowed in your choice" one of the guards say smiling like it's good to talk to someone different. Link sighs and puts on the navy cloak around his head and clasps the necklace around his neck then slips off his shoes and replaces them for the fragile heels. "There. Happy?" Link questions and thinks of Yasmin wearing this necklace and his smile lights up the world. The guards nod and let him through. He gasps at the sight. It's beautiful and there are waterfalls in every corner, little girls running around playing. Link focuses on the task at hand and heads towards the biggest, most elegant building in this town, the Chief's building. Link stumbles up the stairs because of heels. "Damn I hate theses heels with such a passion" he curses under his breath and when he gets to the top of the stairs, he enters the building two guards guarding the elegant building see the thunder helmet and let Link pass, not knowing he is a Voe (boy/man)

There is a beautiful detailed gold throne at the end of the room with a long red carpet leading up to the throne. On either side of the red carpet are statues of warriors. On the side of the throne there is a stand obviously for the thunder helm. Link walks towards the Chief. She has long pink hair in a thick plait that reaches her ankles. She has turquoise lipstick and a navy crop top with a matching long navy skirt with a big ruby on the hip. She sat gracefully in her throne with her own personal guard who had pink hair also in a big ponytail. "Bow to the chief, and say what you require or question" demands the guard, her two hands clasping on the huge sword that reached the floor. Link bows and looks up "Chief, I don't require anything. In fact, believe it or not I have something you require. The Thunder Helm." as he says this the Chiefs eyes widen and the guard tries to not show how surprised she feels. "The Thunder Helm?" she repeats, crossing her arms and the silver bracelets jangle. Link steps forward to reveal their history, the Thunder Helm. The guard peers in the box eyes brows raised. The guard takes the Thunder Helm and a small smile fills her face. "Your majesty. Take back what the Yigas stole from us." she says as she gives her the Thunder Helm. The chief stares at it then with a beam puts it on the stand where it belonged before the Yiga Clan stole it.

"Thank you ever so much. Retrieving what was ours, returning our history. You can have two things in return." the chief offers and puts out her hand to shake. Link automatically shakes it. "Wow you have very masculine hands..." the chief notices staring hard at Link. "Yep, it um runs in the family"

"Not sure it works like that" objects the Chief

"Well, it does in my family" continues Link pulling his hand away

"Your Zeldas appointed knight, aren't you? And her girlfriend."

"Yes, for the first no for the second. I am in love with someone else not that you need to know."

"Will you help us control Naboris after all that's what your meant to do right?"

"Yes, I will. Can I still get my desires you promised?"

"Of course, what do you want?"

"Ok this is more like it. I want... to know who Angler is and... Yasmin to be here"

The Chief frowns and sighs. She gets up and gracefully tip toes down the stairs and paces elegantly in her heels around the huge royal room. "Angler...all she wanted was a voe so she snuck her 'true love' in and he made some vais (women/girls) hugely upset and we soon found out she snuck a voe in. Everyone hated her and she left saying I will make it up to you. Never came back... why do you ask" while hearing this story Link realises that she was going to make it up to them by retrieving the Thunder Helm. So why did she give it to me? Link thinks hard not understanding.

"That second wish...Yasmin is that who you're in love with?" chief asks curious.

"Yes, I want her here...please" pleads Link, thinking about her dark hair, green eyes.

The guard whispers something to the chief and the chiefs face falls like someone told her that her town would be demolished. "Oh Link" she says softly putting an arm around him sadly. "She is gone because of..."

Link does not here her. Gone? Dead? His head spins no more stories or adventures at midnight...he felt like he failed.
