Chapter 1 Inheritance Letter
Jay's POV
Me and the rest of the ninja were training when there was a sudden knock at the door.
"I'll get it", I yelled.
Then I walked to the front door and opened it.
When I did…I saw the mailman.
"Why hello there, Mr Mailman", I greeted. "What brings you here?"
"Well", the mailman started. "You're just the ninja I wanted to see. I have a letter addressed to Jay Walker."
"A letter for me", I asked.
"Yep", the mailman replied before handing me the letter. "Well, I'll see you all around!"
With that, the mailman left, and I opened and read the letter.
"So", Cole started. "Who sent you the letter?"
"Oh", I started. "It's…it's a letter from a fan!"
"A letter from a fan", Cole asked.
"You have a fan", Kai asked.
"Yes Kai", I said in defence. "I do have a fan! Now if you excuse me, I am going to go to my room and read their letter!"
Nya's POV
With that…I watched as Jay left and everybody else went back to training.
Jay said that it was just a fan letter, but I could tell that he was lying.
So…I followed him to his room, and when I did…I saw him sadly looking at the letter.
"That isn't a letter from a fan", I asked, getting his attention. "Isn't it?"
"You know me all too well, Nya", Jay stated. "You're right. This isn't a letter from a fan."
"Then what is it", I asked as I sat down next to Jay.
"It's…my inheritance letter."
"You mean…the one saying you inherited everything from your birth father", I asked.
"Yep", Jay replied.
"Jay", I started. "What's bothering you?"
"I dunno", Jay started. "It's just…when I was talking to Unagami, and trying to get him to stop being a bad guy, I told him how I've always wondered why my birth parents abandoned me, but that I hope that there was a good reason."
After Jay said this…he sighed sadly.
"So since then", he started. "I've been thinking…what is the reason? I wish I knew."
After Jay said this…I started thinking.
"Wait a minute", I started. "I think I know where you can get some answers!"
"Really", Jay asked.
"Remember when Kai and I went back in time and had to pretend to be our parents", I asked.
"Yeah", Jay replied.
"While we were there, I remember seeing a woman wearing a blue outfit", I revealed.
"Wait a minute", Jay started. "Do you think that was my birth mother?"
"Yep", I replied. "And Master Wu was with her!"
"Wait a minute", Jay started in realisation. "Are you telling me that Master Wu's known about my birth mother the whole time, and he never said anything?"
After Jay said this, he huffed in annoyance.
"Why does he never tell us these things?"
"No idea", I replied. "Come on. Let's go ask him about it."
