Chapter 4 Cliff's Estate
Jay's POV
Nya and I had arrived at Cliff's estate.
"Wow", she started as we walked though the mansion. "I forgot how grand this place was."
"Yeah", I agreed.
"What are you going to do with it", Nya asked.
"Dunno", I replied. "Maybe can set up some house tours or something? I'm sure there's a ton of people that would love to see the house of Cliff Gordon."
"Really", Nya asked.
"Nah", I replied. "If I did that, I would have to let everybody know how I got access to the mansion in the first place, and I'm not sure if I want the whole world to know that I'm Cliff Gordon's son."
"Good point", Nya said. "Any other ideas?"
"Maybe we can just turn it into another base", I suggested. "Never hurts to have more of those."
After I said this…I stopped in front of a golden trophy.
I pulled on it…and a secret room revealed itself.
Nya and I walked into it, and I walked to the back…which had an area dedicated to me.
I looked at it sadly, and Nya noticed this.
"Jay", she started. "Are you okay?"
After Nya asked this…I sighed sadly.
"I…just don't get it", I started. "Cliff was obviously keeping tabs on me…so why did he never bother to reach out to me or something? Plus, he left all his money and estate to me, and he has this area dedicated to me! That means that he cared about me at least to some extent, right?"
After I said this…I sat down on the floor in sadness.
Nya sat down next to me, and put her hand on my shoulder.
"I know how you feel", she stated. "For years, I would always wonder if my parents had abandoned me and Kai. I wondered if they actually cared about us."
"Yeah", I started. "But at least you guys were able to eventually find out what happened. Cliff's dead, and I have no idea if Lisbeth is alive. I may never be able to find out how they truly felt about me."
Nya didn't say anything, and just hugged me instead.
"Thanks for coming with me today, Nya", I thanked.
"You may never know how your birth parents felt about you", Nya started. "But I want you to know that I'll always be there for you."
Kai's POV
Zane and I were in the city, running some errands.
"Thank you for accompanying me while I did the grocery shopping, Kai", he thanked.
"No problem, Zane", I stated. "After all, you only get all the basic food items, I make sure to get all the snacks."
Before our conversation could go on for any longer…we suddenly heard a loud sound.
We looked up…and saw something odd.
We saw…a giant storm begin to cover the whole of Ninjago City!
When I saw this…I sighed in annoyance.
"I knew things were too peaceful."
