Thalia Grace has never regretted for her choice of being a hunter, even after meeting those two demigods.

Being a hunter means gaining immortality, unless dying on the battlefield. Despite the fact that no dating is allowed anymore, there is no loss at all, at least from Thalia's point of view.

'Some monsters will gradually fade after experience thousands of years in their life, and then, faded and became a history.'

That is what she, Annabeth and Luke had learned after leaving their original family and wandering in the land of America, where the gods set foot at, where the torch of Western Civilization at. And contemporarily, Thalia is experiencing the life of thousand years.

Her friends were long gone, except Reyna, and other sisters in the hunt, they are always wandering around the states, looking for monsters that threaten the life of homeless demigods, and guiding those half-bloods to Camp Half-Blood, or the wolf house, where they will meet Lupa, the guardian of Rome, and set their own journey to Camp Jupiter.

The first one to leave was Luke, the son of Hermes. He killed himself and Kronos for saving the Olympus. He was once seen as a traitor, but eventually, he sacrificed himself and became a hero.

The second who's gone was Jason, her brother. They have been apart from each other for a total of thirteen years, and Hera came upon an idea of exchanging Percy Jackson, another of her friends and her brother to the opposite camp, to unite the Greeks and Romans to fight Gaea. This was the only thing the Queen of the gods done that got approval of Thalia, bringing her brother back to her, and two years and a half later bring him away to the underworld, eternally.

She knew she couldn't blame Hera on that, but it's cruelty of life, she can barely know her brother and those stupid immortal emperors of Rome killed him. She cursed Caligula thousands of times under her breath, she wished Frank Zhang didn't burn Caligula to death, so that she can struck him to death using lightning for killing her little brother.

After that, the people she knew were gone by the order of Nico, Will, Calypso and Leo, who died in a monster attack by the escaped titan Hyperion; Piper, who joined the hunt after breaking up again with Shel, not long after that died at the beginning of the third great prophecy; Frank and Hazel, who defended New Rome to death while Percy and Annabeth led a group of Greek heroes to retrieve the lost weapons of the big three.

Percy, Annabeth, Thalia, Reyna, Clarisse, Connor, Travis, Katie and Chris were the only people she knew of who were still alive after the Third Great Prophecy. And after that, Percy and Annabeth got married, as well as Clarisse and Chris, Travis and Katie, Connor and a girl she didn't know of. Reyna and Thalia had both attended all of their weddings. Annabeth looked beautiful the day she and Percy got married, they had one boy and one girl after that, they named the boy Luke and the girl Hazel to remember those who died in those prophecies.

Since then, the world was at peace, some weekends, she pretended to be the third child of Percy and Annabeth and enjoyed family meal together, she still found it annoying for Percy speaking to her as if she really was her daughter.

They died at the age of eighty, the last ones fell, and the happiest ones. They were holding each other when they died, when their son and daughter and their grandchildren stood beside them, watching the light of their eyes fading, enjoying the final breath of each other.

'An oath to keep with a final breath.'

She thought of the line of the second great prophecy.

Maybe it wasn't Leo who took his final breath to reach Calypso; or Jason, who took his final breath to save Piper. Maybe it's about Percy and Annabeth, who kept their promise to stay together as always, and reach Elysium at the same time.

She never felt so lonely after their death, it's like all the people she knew of cannot talk to her again. Hell, they didn't go to the burger store after all.

And then the life started to get bored, killing monsters day after day, keeping the demigods save and sound, watching those friends come and die.

She still remembered the day she met that half-blood, a daughter of Athena who's only seven. Her name was Cathy, they lived together for almost a week, she ran away from her home just like Annabeth, she despised her stepmom who blamed her for almost every weird thing happened to the supposed-to-be-perfect family.

She told her story of Annabeth Chase, the daughter of Athena who retrieved Athena Pathernon, which stood quiet and solemnly at the Half-Blood Hill, resembling the union of Greek and Roman. She told her how Annabeth and Percy got together, how they had a normal family, how they fought in battles and such.

They talked to each other about almost everything that happened a thousand years ago, which brought her smile at those old memory.

Thalia shook off the memories, and faced the monsters in front of the hunters, forty eyes focused on Thalia, who took command when Artemis was at meeting on the Olympus.

'Kill-' Thalia yelled.

Arrows flew, and monsters fled, and among the golden dust, stood another two boys who looked a lot like Jason and Percy. Except the Jason was with black hair and electric blue eyes, without the stapler mark on his mouth; and Percy with a scar across his cheek.

'Who are you?'

'I am Jason, Jason Jefferson, a son of Zeus.' The black haired one said.

'I am Perseus.' The other one said.

'And full name?'

'I'll go with only Percy or Perseus, I don't have a second name, my mom was killed by my step dad, Poseidon guided me to here to seek help.'

'So, your father is Poseidon?' Reyna asked, Thalia could hear a bit of both sadness and excitement in her voice.

Percy nodded, and said, 'If you really wanted to know my last name, I'll go with my mom's.'

'And that is?' Thalia asked.

'Jackson. My full name will be Perseus Jackson, or you can call me Percy Jackson.'

Thalia looked at Reyna, and Reyna looked at Thalia, they seemed to reach an agreement, that this two will do great things, as great as the Jason and Percy had done a thousand years ago.

The boys seemed to observed something between Thalia and Reyna, and asked Percy, 'Sorry, did I say something wrong?'

'Well,' Reyna said, 'We once know someone looked a lot like you two.'

'Once?'

'They died, years ago.' Thalia said.

'And what's their name?'

'Jason Grace, Son of Jupiter.'

'Percy Jackson, Son of Poseidon.'

'That's the same name as mine!' the other Percy gasped.

Thalia smiled, as if those memory had once again roamed inside her head.

'Wow bro, I think we have to do something to get worthy of our names then!' Jason said to Percy, who nodded.

'That's great, do you know by any chance we can visit those two? I mean not afterlife of course!'

Thalia almost laughed at that Percy Statement, it's like those good old times again.

She looked up to the sky, where a constellation formed a girl with bow in her hand, that's the constellation of Zoe Nightshade, who sacrificed herself to help for the quest to save lady Artemis.

Where can we find you, the deceased ones?

'You can look for them in the stars.'

She remembered those adventures, those jokes, those fun time with her friends a thousand years ago. Indeed, she has never regretted to become a hunter, those memories are like treasures, buried deeply inside her mind, those memories are never left, and she will be the one to carry those memories along, to protect the land her friends once called a home.
