Chapter 8 Pixal's Plan
Jay's POV
We were all in the hanger bay, listening to Pixal telling us about the information Zane had sent her.
"I have analysed the scan of the machine Zane sent", she started. "It's centre appears to be an electrical energy core, most likely made from the lighting power Professor Storm took from Lisbeth. This core is protected by a shell made by an extremely strong material. Breaking through it would be basically impossible."
"For a normal person, maybe", Cole started. "But you're forgetting about me! I can just earth punch my way right through!"
"They would not advisable", Pixal revealed. "If you were to break the outer shell of the machine like that, you would unleash the electrical core onto you, which would most likely lead to death."
"Let's scrap that plan then", Cole said. "Any other ideas, Pixal?"
"Yes", Pixal replied. "And it involves Jay."
"Me", I asked.
"Why does it involve Jay", Nya asked.
"While most of the electrical core is covered by the material", Pixal started. "There is an opening at the top of the machine, as this is where the electrical energy seeps out to create the storm. I believe that, if Jay were to strike the core with lightning, it would cause the core to overload, resulting in an explosion that would destroy the machine from the inside."
"That sounds epic", Cole stated.
"But will anybody in the city be hurt by the explosion", Lloyd asked.
"Fear not", Pixal started. "Since the machine is on top of the highest building in Ninjago, any civilians below should not be harmed."
"And what about Jay", Lisbeth started. "He won't get hurt, right?"
"Do not worry", Pixal reassured. "As long as we get the aiming right, he should be able to strike the core from a safe distance away."
"So…", I started. "I get to be the one to save the day? Awesome! It looks like it's once again superstar rockin' Jay's time to shine!"
"Ooo", Lisbeth started. "That's a cool name."
"That's great and all, Jay", Lloyd started. "But how are we gonna get into the city in order to zap the machine?"
"I have thought about that too", Pixal started. "I believe that we will be able to create suits that will be able to withstand the power of the storm, as well as new vehicles as well."
"Awesome", I stated. "I'll get to save Ninjago City, and look good while doing it!"
"However", Pixal started. "In order for these suits and vehicles to work, we'll need the same type of material that the machine's shell is made out of."
"Oh", Lisbeth started. "I know where to find the stuff Dvalin made it out of! He dragged me along to help him get it."
"Then could you please escort the ninja to it, Lisbeth", Master Wu asked.
"Sure thing", Lisbeth replied. "Are you guys all coming?"
"Some of us should stay here in case anything else happens", Lloyd suggested.
"Well", Jay started. "I'm the one who's gonna save the day, so I should go!"
"Then I'll go too", Nya said.
"Then you guys go with Lisbeth to find the material", Lloyd said. "Cole and I will stay here."
