Chapter 6: Talks

The demigods woke up around 5pm.

"How do you all feel?" asked a soft voice

"Fresh" smiled Percy

"Your parents wanted to talk to you all." She said

Before any of the demigods could say anything because they looked like it "I know many of you aren't feeling ready but just give it a shot. They all were upset about their actions" said Chiron

Nobody wanted to say anything against Chiron and everybody did want to fix relationships with their godly parents so they just nodded.

"So what should we do?" asked Thalia

"I'll take you all to your parents' headquarters. If you would like then you could wash your faces so you could be fully awake." Chiron said gently

A few of the demigods got up and went to the bathrooms while the others got up and stretched.

The ones who did not have any siblings were given reassuring hand squeezes from the others. The romans however stayed back because they didn't have any problem with their parents, they were upset because of their Greek friends.

Hestia took half the demigods while Chiron took the others

Luke, Travis, Connor and Chris went to Hermes' quarters. It looked similar to Cabin 11 but it was just less run down and was warmer because of the fire.

"Hey dad." Said Travis without making direct eye contact.

Hermes swallowed

"Hi kids. Please sit down" Hermes said gesturing to the couches.

The demigods gave reassuring smiles to each other and went to sit down on the couches.

The Stolls sat with Hermes while the other two sat on the couch opposite to it.

"Guys…" he trailed off.

"Look dad, I know you want to say sorry but then again we won't feel that it is genuine." Started Luke

Hermes felt his heart breaking.

It must have shown on his face because then Chris said "Dad, it wasn't okay that you left me unclaimed and weren't a very good dad but you had few of the least unclaimed kids but it kind of sucked being in your cabin and not being claimed by you but then again maybe this is one of the reasons the fates sent us here."

"Yeah, we were mad but now all of us have a chance to fix our relationship, we shouldn't miss it." Said the Stolls.

Hermes smiled at his kids though he still did not feel much better but he decided to fix it. He was glad that his children forgave him. He did think that it might not be complete forgiveness because it is kind of hard to forget not being noticed but he decided to make it better."

The Stolls hugged their dad, Hermes gestured to them and they joined in a little hesitantly but sunk into it.

Clarisse was not going to admit this to anybody but Chris that she was nervous to go with her father. She knew that all the other demigods would be too but she figured not as much as her. She had not had many good experiences with her father especially during the Sea of Monsters.

Hestia gave her a warm smile because she was able to sense Clarisse's emotions. It made her feel slightly better but then once Hestia went, the nervousness returned.

She hesitantly knocked on her father's door. He opened it with a small smile but Clarisse was too nervous to return it.

Ares led her into his quarters.

"Do you want to eat something" he asked in a slightly hoarse voice. He was not able to rest at all. He couldn't stop thinking about what Clarisse said about being scared.

Clarisse noticed her dad's voice and she felt slightly more comfortable because she thought that she wouldn't get hurt.

"I'd like some water, thank you sir." She said

Ares flinched at the sinking fact of his daughter not feeling comfortable enough to call him father let alone dad.

"Please call me dad." He whispered a little pleadingly and conjured some water for her.

Clarisse nodded, still trying to get over the fact about her dad telling her to call him dad.

"Look Clarisse, I know I haven't been the best dad as it lead you to the point of thinking that I would hurt you. I'm sorry I haven't treated you fairly enough and I would like to work on our relationship while we are here and counting as we have many books left, it means we have a lot of time too." He said through a lump in his throat.

Clarisse was a little surprised but she still nodded with a small smile in the hope to have a good relation with her dad and get to know him better.

Clarisse held her hand out for a handshake but Ares pulled her in for a hug hesitantly that she might pull away but instead felt a little teary eyed when she hugged him back.
Percy went over to Poseidon's quarters. It was sea green in colour with the illusion of waves. He knocked on his dad's door who opened it with a smile. Percy was awed by the beauty. The cabin had an in-built aquarium. Poseidon noticed his son's reaction and gave a small chuckle.

"Hi dad."

"Hi son" he replied with a smile.

"Look dad I'm sorry but you are one of the best parents in the council but it hurt a little that you did not know most of the people I hate but most of my frustration is not aimed at you." Percy said.

Poseidon gave him a grateful smile.

"Thank you son but I would like to know more about you and spend more time with you, it that's okay with you." He said.

Percy grinned.

"I would love to".

Poseidon gave Percy a hug who returned it with equal enthusiasm.

Annabeth was guided to Athena's quarters but not the whole way because she knew the way having designed Olympus.

She knocked. Athena opened the door

"Hello Annabeth"

"Hello Lady Athena"

Athena gestured for her to take a seat

Annabeth took a seat hesitantly

"Annabeth I'm sorry" sad Athena

Annabeth got angry

"Oh okay so all you say is sorry. You sent me on a quest which you know that no child of yours has ever come back from. You asked me to kill the romans and when I told you that I did not want to, you told me that I was no child of yours. When I went on the quest, I met a monster who had been a lady but was turned into a spider because of you and it came to bit me in the butt. Now all you say is sorry. All I understood it that you don't care about what your children feel. I can't even tell you all this because I have a feeling that you might just end up blasting me." She said angrily.

Athena was horrified that her daughter thought that she would blast her.

"I am sorry Annabeth and I should not have said all of that. I would like to improve my relationship with you." she said.

Annabeth knew that this was all Athena was going to say so she nodded. Even she would like the same

Annabeth held out her hand for a handshake which Athena took.

Will, Lee and Michael walked over to Apollo's quarters.

They knocked and Apollo opened the door.

"Hey dad" said Lee.

"Hey guys. How do you feel?" he asked.

"Better." Replied Will.

Apollo swallowed.

"Take a seat please" he said.

The demigods sat on the couches.

"Guys, I'm sorry about not being a great father. It's a miracle that despite this you guys still fought for us and Lee and Michael even died. I'm really proud of you but that definitely does not make up for the times I ignored you. I want to spend more time with you guys but only if you guys are okay with it."

The three gave him blinding grins that made Apollo prouder that even he gave a blinding grin in return.

"Definitely dad." Said Michael

"Totally"

"100%"

The three of them went and hugged their dad which Apollo returned. They stayed like that for 5 minutes. The demigods then sat down more relaxed than they were.

"So um, what do we do now." Asked Will

"I don't know, maybe just talk." Suggested Apollo.

They nodded and talked about camp, archery, music and joked around.

Katie went to her mother's quarters.

When Demeter opened the door, she led Katie inside.

"Hi mom."

"Hello Katie."

"You know mom, I haven't had problems with you even though you haven't paid much attention to me but I would like to spend more time with you seeing as we will be here for some time." Katie admitted

"I would like to do the same daughter."

She gave Katie a hug and sat down on the couches again.

They spent some time talking about different flowers and of course cereal. Katie did not like the cereal talk much but she didn't mind it much either.

The Aphrodite girls went over to her quarters. Aphrodite's quarters were pink which was not a surprise. Aphrodite opened the door with a smile.

She invited the girls to sit on the comfy chairs. She gave them some tea which they took.

Piper spoke first

"Mom, you haven't been too absent- minded towards me so I'm fin though I would appreciate it if you stopped flashing me into dresses." She said with a small smile which Aphrodite returned.

Silena spoke next

"I know I was a spy mom but I realised it all at the end. You helped me find Charlie and I'm really glad about it. So thank you."

Aphrodite gave a smile to her daughters and pulled them in for a hug. Silena returned it with equal enthusiasm while Piper was a little awkward but still retuned it.

Jason and Thalia walked to Zeus' quarters. Saying that they were nervous was an understatement. They knocked on the door and Zeus opened it with a nod and the two nodded too. They went inside and were invited to sit on the airy sofas.

They both looked at each other and sat down.

Zeus started

"I'm sorry I left you with your mother, even though not for long but still. If she abused you while being drunk, then it was very wrong of me. I know that I haven't spent much time with you both even though I would like to but I'm the king and I have to set an example. If I don't follow the main rules then nobody would but during the time you are here, the laws don't count so I would like to spend more time with you." He said

Thalia and Jason were surprised but nodded their heads. They realised why their dad did not spend much time with them but during this time they would like to.

Jason and Thalia held their hands for a handshake which Zeus took with a smile.

Thalia and Jason were a little surprised because they had never seen Zeus smile but they smiled too.

Nico gulped as he walked to his dad's quarters. When Nico reached, he noticed that the quarters were similar to his cabin at camp. They were charcoal black with green fire lit at the entrance. He gave three knocks on the door and Hades opened the door. He looked at his son and visibly swallowed which made Nico realize that his father was as nervous as he was.

"Hello Nico" he said

"Hello father"

"Nico I wanted to apologize for everything." He started and gave a dry chuckle.

"I'm sorry I made you feel worthless or feel that you should have died instead of Bianca. The thing is that I am very proud of you and that I was always proud of you but I would never know how to express it but it does not excuse me for treating you like I did. I know your mother died but I didn't behave like your father either. When you were sent here with the note, I have to admit I was glad that I would be able to spend more time with you and I still would like to and make it right between us, if you would like to." He said in a hoarse voice which showed Nico that his dad had thought about it all during the time he was asleep with his friends and cousins. His dad's eyes were still a little watery.

Nico's eyes also got slightly watery and instead of answering, he ran and gave his dad a hug. Hades was surprised but he returned the hug and just said three words "I love you" and that was when Nico said "I love you too dad". The two of them stayed like that for a couple of minutes and after that they just talked about Nico's stay at camp.

After an hour Zeus, Hestia and Chiron called everybody to continue with the reading.
