Note: Expect differences in this story than of the main timeline, the main difference is the descendants of Hagoromo and Hamura Otsutsuki. The Senju and Uchiha are the descendants of Hagoromo and the Hyuga and Uzumaki are the descendants of Hamura.

I write this story with the assumption that those who read it have a general understanding of the Naruto universe and will not need basic concepts explained to them.

Chapter 1: Return

Tsunade sat at her desk and signed another form as her thoughts began to drift to the blonde knucklehead that reminded her so much of her little brother.

"Where are those two, Jiraiya said they would be back in three years it has already been six!"

Her thoughts were interrupted when a small toad appeared in a puff of smoke next to her chair.

"Tsunade-sama Jiraiya sends a message."

"What is it?"

"He and his apprentice will be arriving today in one hour and they will have company."

"Company, who is it?"

"Goodbye Tsunade-sama!" The toad waved as it vanished back to the summon realm leaving Tsunade ticked off at not being answered.

"Damn frogs."

As if on que the door to her office opened and Shizune stepped in followed by Sakura, they both stood in front of her desk carrying even more paperwork.

"These are the last of the paperwork for the day Tsunade-sama." Shizune said with a smile on her face before noticing her mentor's somewhat lost expression, "Tsunade-sama is something wrong?"

"They are finally returning."

"Who is?"

"Jiraiya and Naruto, they should be here within the hour."

Sakura froze and dropped the papers she had been holding, "Naruto's finally coming back?!"

Tsunade smiled, "Yes he is."

Sakura frowned and punched the palm of her hand, "Good because I am going to beat that baka for taking so long to return!"

Southeast of Konoha

"We're almost there gaki."

"So?"

"Aren't you excited?"

"Really sensei, excited? Fucking really?"

"Geeze gaki calm down."

"I'll calm the fuck down when I get my pound of flesh."

Jiraiya sighed as his apprentice voiced his anger at Konoha and certain individuals inside it, not that he could blame the blonde but that didn't mean he had to like it.

"Just try to keep your temper in check while in the village proper, outside I couldn't care less."

Naruto looked at his sensei, "Like you could do anything to stop me sensei or have you forgotten the last time we fought?"

Jiraiya glared, "I haven't forgotten gaki but just because you can take what you want doesn't mean you should!"

"Cry me a river sensei they have it coming." Naruto said as he looked forward, "And they will get what is coming to them regardless of what you or anyone else thinks."

Jiraiya kept silent knowing he was powerless to stop what was about to come to the Hidden Leaf Village and he could only pray those responsible were gracious in defeat.

"Kami help them if they aren't."

Konoha Main Gate

Tsunade, Shizune, Sakura and oddly Hinata were standing at the gate waiting for Jiraiya and Naruto to arrive. Sakura looked at Hinata and could help but think of the change in personality that the bluenette had undergone in the past six years. Hinata had gone from shy and soft-spoken to confident and assertive, she had regained her title as heiress to the Hyuga clan when she had handed her younger sister Hanabi a crushing defeat in front of the clan elders. Since then her once warm personality became somewhat cold especially to the general population of the village.

"They're coming."

Hinata's voice broke Sakura from here thoughts as he looked in the distance and saw two figures slowly making their way towards the village. As they got closer Sakura was able to make them out in detail, Jiraiya looked just like he had six years ago but Naruto had changed quite a bit.

He had grown to a height that she guessed to be at least the same height as his mentor and was dressed in almost all black; from his sandals and pants to his jacket and headband, the only thing that was not black was the red armband on his left arm that had the Uzumaki spiral on it.

"Tsunade-hime!" Jiraiya yelled as the pair came up to the gate, "Long time no see!"

"Ya think you old pervert!" Tsunade shouted back, "Its been six years! Double the timeframe you gave me!"

Jiraiya coughed, "Well hime we needed the extra time to…"

Sakura ignored the two sanin in favor of studying her teammate who had yet to speak and held a serious expression on his face, for a brief moment she thought she saw a flash of hatred in his eyes as he looked at the village behind them. Before her thoughts could continue further Sakura was brought back to the present when Hinata walked forward and stopped directly in front of Naruto who she now had to look up at.

"Naru."

"Hina."

The greeting was somehow very personal and intimate despite it only being two words, Sakura felt her stomach turn slightly for some reason.

Tsunade, Jiraiya, and Shizune had also looked at the pair as they continued to stare into each other's eyes, what happened next shocked everyone except Jiraiya.

Naruto leaned down, wrapping his arms around Hinata's waist, and laid a gentle kiss on her lips which she deepened by wrapping her arms around his neck.
