Chapter 11 Together Now

Jay's POV

We were now back at the monastery.

Currently, Nya and Pixal were working on the outfits and vehicles we'd need to get into Ninjago City, so the rest of us were just chilling while we waited.

I decided that I should take this time to talk some more with Libber.

I headed to the room she was staying in…while holding the box of her things Master Wu had given to me a few days ago.

"Hey Libber", I greeted as I walked into the room.

"Hey there, Jay", Libber greeted, before noticing the box I had in my hands. "What you got there?"

"It's a box of your things Master Wu had", I replied before putting the box down on the floor.

"Really, Libber asked in shock before walking up to me.

Then…she kneeled down besides the box before she began taking things out of it.

"Oh man", she started before pulling out something. "It's my old gaming console! I'm surprised Wu kept this. He would always rag on me for playing video games when I was supposed to be focusing on the mission."

"What type of games did you like to play", I asked.

"All types of games", Libber replied. "But my favourite game of all time was Dancy Pants!"

When Libber said this, I let out a loud, dramatic gasp.

"Are you okay, son", Libber asked in concern.

"No way", I started. "They had Dancy Pants back then too?!"

"You play it too", Libber asked.

"It's also my favourite game of all time", I replied.

"Really", Libber asked.

"Yeah", I replied. "Once this storm thing has been sorted out, we should totally head to the arcade and play together!"

"I would love that", Libber said. "But be warned, I may be older now, but your old woman still has the moves!"

Hearing this made me laugh.

Then, Libber and I continued looking though the box.

The next thing she pulled out were the Starfarer dvds.

As she looked at them…she had a sad smile on her face.

"You okay, Libber", I asked in concern.

"Yeah", Libber replied. "It's just…Wu told me that your dad is…gone."

"Oh", I started. "Yeah."

"Did you ever get to meet him", Libber asked.

"No", I replied sadly. "He left me his fortune and estate, and when I went there, I saw that he had a bunch of pictures of me, and even one of my old gi's. So he was obviously keeping tabs on me, but…he never came to see me."

With that…Libber put her hand on my shoulder.

Then…she pulled out the photos of her and Cliff.

"If only things had worked out differently, huh", she started. "Then maybe things could've been different. But, it's like Wu always used to say. Everything happens for a reason, yada yada yada."

When Libber said this, I started laughing again.

Then…I grabbed onto her hand.

"At least we're together now."
