Miley stared at the clouds, she couldn't believe what had just happened three days ago, she had been chosen as an Exe Hunter! If you didn't know, The Exe Hunters fend off evil forces. Such as .Exes and Dr. Robotniks robots. "I can't believe it," It was like she was daydreaming. "Fighting beside Sonic and other members of the Exe Hunters, wow.." It was hard to believe that Sonic himself would choose a small, hesitant fox like herself to fight in such missions. She stared at the clouds once more and sat up. She was only thirteen and she was chosen to fight in many missions and more to come! What. a. day. She stood up and started walking home, she had been thinking about this all day. 'Should I join? Or should I just say, "no"?' She thought as she walked down to her house. She looked around, Green Hill Zone was peaceful. Dr. Robotnik had laided off for a while. It had only been two months since she moved here. The young fox was still confused about many things that Green Hill's had to offer.
As she was approaching her door she heard a sudden yell from behind her, "Hey!" Yelped a random voice, The curious fox turned around. Only to see her loving friend, Red. He was a year older than her but lacked much interest in the fact that he was chosen also, he was a red coated dog with white spots on his stomach and paws.
"So, hows it feel to fight besides your childhood friend AND hero?" He said while smirking and admiring himself. The fox scoffed at the self confident dog and looked at him. "You think YOUR the childhood hero here? I mean, you are my friend." She said with a chuckle, "But not my hero, for fucks sake!" Red was somewhat offended, "At least I helped you when you tripped and fell into the mud like a dumbass!" The dog crossed his arms and made an annoyed grunt at Miley.
Miley just chuckled and looked at Red with laughter in her eyes, "Wow Red! You're just too funny!" She said while laughing. The baffled dog tilted his head and looked at the amused fox, "How so?" Said the confused dog.
"You just are!" Red didn't know how to respond to such a comment, he looked at the ground and started to kick rocks that laid below his shoes. Miley heard a sudden yell, "Dinners ready!" yelled a voice from inside the house. Miley looked at Red and smiled, she waved goodbye. And he waved back.
She opened the door and walked inside, she couldn't stop thinking. She had one thought on her mind. 'What would happen, if I said yes?' That same thought ran through her mind as she was suddenly aroused by her older sister. She looked up at her, "Aren't ya gonna eat your food, mija?" she nodded slowly and stared at her plate. She couldn't decide. The same thoughts kept coming into her mind.
What if she said no? What if she said that she wasn't good enough to fight? She debated to herself and finally figured out what she was gonna do. 'I'm gonna say "Yes".' She sat up and looked at her older sister, "May I be excused?" She was full of adrenaline and looked at her older sister. "Sure-" before she could even say anything else, Miley bulted to her room and closed the door. "I'm going to be an Exe Hunter!" She grabbed a sticky note and wrote, "Say "Yes" to Sonic's request" and put the sticky note on the wall. She smiled and looked at the note.
"Just say Yes."
