This is a fanfiction. I will not apologize for not having Lucy date Natsu, Gray or whoever you want her with. I will eventually have fanfictions with other ships with Lucy but not right now. If you don't like the ship that's fine, here is your warning so you can avoid reading it. I will NOT tolerate rude comments just because it's "not your ship". Cool go read those ships. There are awesome writers that write them as I have enjoyed them myself. Thank you!
Also, I apologize ahead of time for any grammatical/spelling errors as I do not have anyone helping me edit and as we all know, we writers tend to read our work as it is in our brain instead of how it was actually written. I do try to catch things, but some do fall through the cracks. Thank you all for still reading it in all its glory and flaws. :) Also sorry for the rush through the fighting scenes. I've realized that I am not very good at attempting to write fights.
Hope you all enjoy the story

Previously from Chapter 4
Farron's heart broke watching his god sister fight like she did. "If she broke Aquarius' key, then who's key is she looking for?
A smile came over Loke's face, "Aquarius. It would take 5 years for her key to come back to Earthland. Her mission right now is to find her key and complete her soul's missing spot. Because she has such a large fissure the trading of soul's during a mating could completely shatter her soul. She'd literally die mating you right now. If it's any consolation, she can't mate the other one either yet."
Chapter 5
"So my understanding is if she mated either my brother Cris or this other mate, she would still die?" Farron's concern was for his brother and the little blonde. He knew Cris would be hurting from this news and didn't want to see either of them in pain.
"Correct. We only wish that she would have more time, but that looks like that may be an issue now that she knows who one of you are. Now let's enjoy some lighter conversation. We can further discuss this at another time." Loke was frustrated since he knew that Lucy's life was at risk. He would make sure neither of the mates were able to get too close until she had Aquarius' key in hand.
The group continued conversation for the remainder of the party, though Cris' mind was on a petite blonde woman that his dragon was whimpering for. His mate was so close but now felt so far away. 'How the hell can we travel together if we're not able to mate yet.' His concern grew as he would never want to kill her, so he resigned and accepted he will have to wait patiently. He'd rather have a long life with her than to rush into their mating.
Lucy was back in her living room and turned to look at Virgo. "What happened that Draco needed me to leave? I felt like I needed to be closer with that man. What was his name, Cris?"
"You can not mate yet Hime. You still need to find Aquarius's key. You know that a mating will kill you. It's too soon." Virgo was trying to keep a stoic face but her concern for her princess was outweighing. She was just happy that Draco could tell her to grab Lucy in enough time.
"He…..He's my mate? Oh." A blush covered Lucy's face. She didn't think such a work of art from the heavens could be her mate.
"Yes, but let's work on getting you packed. You have a long trip ahead of you. Big Brother and I will figure out travel since we need to make sure that neither of you touch."
Lucy relaxed. She knew what it meant to be a mate to someone and now what that urge felt like. Damn slayers and their damn mating!
"You're right. Let's get to it." Lucy felt like she was packing in a void place. Her dragon was whimpering and she couldn't help the longing she felt. This trip would definitely take all of her self control if being close to him would be an issue.
The next morning the traveling group, sans Lucy, met at the Fioran airfield waiting to board the boscan airship. Before anyone could question her lack of attendance, a small girl with blue and green long wild curly hair, iridescent crystal eyes, and black dress sparkled from silver glitter and faced the lunar slayer.
"Hello Prince Cris. I am Pavo the peacock spirit. Our princess has requested I give this wristband to you before she arrives. It will conceal your scent from one another. She has agreed to wear one as well to make it possible for you to travel together without issue of mating too early."
Cris took the bracelet to inspect it.
"How did you figure that would work?" Kaleb was interested as this whole new world of celestial magic was being introduced to him with the little blonde. The dean is going to have a hay day getting all of this new information. He's never had access to knowledge to this extent before.
"Crux let us know that it should help to nullify the need to mate since the scent will not trigger the initial desire. I can not promise how long it will work since you are both slayers, but it will give you both time to be able to travel and get to know one another. However, you still may not touch our princess. We are not allowing ANYONE any chance of harm to her, intended or not."
Cris felt relief sweep over him that he would not have to entirely avoid the celestial mage. Though his dragon would be whimpering and fighting from being so close, at least the temptation would tamper down so he happily put the bracelet on.
"What has happened to your princess that would cause all of you to be as careful as you are. I have met other celestial spirits, and I have never seen them as dedicated and loyal as all of you are to her."
"Our Princess has been a salvation to many of us. Either by saving our very existence or giving us the love and freedom we have not had in millenia. If you will excuse me, our Princess will be here momentarily." The little spirit bowed and left in a sparkle of silver glitter.
The next moment a golden window opened in thin air and popped out the celestial mage from her gate jump. As she walked forward she was hesitant as she did not want to set off the mating by being too close. She trusted her spirits but this was a very tricky situation.
Cris was a bit hurt that she seemed so skittish around him but he could also understand. He would make it his mission to get to know her and have her fall in love with him without the call.
Bickslow had stepped forward and grabbed the little blonde around the shoulder. "Don't worry cosplayer, Cris has his bracelet on, you have yours on, you guys should be good. We also promise not to leave the two of you alone either just to be safe."
Lucy looked up at the seith mage and smiled at him. "Thanks Bixy."
She then looked over to Cris. "I'm really sorry for the difficult position that puts us in. Thank you for being so willing to work with me through this."
Cris smiled and nodded back at her as they group entered the airship and sat to enjoy brunch as their airship took off.
"If you don't mind me asking, what was that you just did to get here so quickly?"
"Oh, I gate jumped. It's kind of like when Laxus lightning jumps, but I pass through a special tunnel in the celestial world without being affected by the time difference." Lucy was dipping her strawberries in whip cream and taking a sip of her strawberry smoothie.
"I did not realize there was a time difference between the celestial world and Earthland." Farron always just imagined time worked the same in the different realms. It may seem naive but there was just not a lot of information regarding the celestial realm itself.
"It definitely is quite the time difference. One day in the celestial realm is three months on earthland. I learned that after my team and I were invited to a party in the celestial realm after our return from the 7 year sleep. During the time we were supposed to be training for the grand magic games." Lucy's smile did not go unnoticed by the group.
"Do celestial mages typically get to go to the celestial realm."
Lucy's eyes widened, "Oh no, Papa Stache Face broke his own rules to let us come. He keeps rewriting more of them all the time that I wonder how many of the rules will be the same by the time I take over when he steps down."
"You are planning on taking over the celestial realm?" Cobra looked at his kin, she had not told any of them this new information yet.
"It's part of what I've been destined for. How could I say no to being with my spirit family once my mortal body dies. I'll get to be a part of the stars." The look on her face was of pure joy and pride. She was happy that she would be allowed to live with her spirit family forever.
Conversation continued between the mages during the 12 hour ride. They discussed Lucy's books and the Pradesh family antics.
During the entire trip Cris and Lucy kept their distance but made sure to talk to one another. If they were going to have to wait to mate, they might as well get to know each other during this time.
Once the airship reached Bosco the group of mages loaded into the embassy cars sent by the Pradesh Family Patriarch. The mages filed into the two separate sleek black SE Plug vehicles headed to the Pradesh Estate.
Lucy watched the scenery around her as they drove through the town of Pelerno. Everything was beautiful and the smell of the grass sea was not only relaxing, but started to pick at her memory. Shrugging off the weird feeling she finally saw it. The white sea guild hall in all its glory. It stood as the biggest building in all of the city and could literally be seen from all over.
She was so honored to be able to meet the mages of the guild and hopefully build some more friendships. Especially if her mate was a part of the guild. Many of its members must be his friends and she would make sure to get to know them as much as she has the fiorian guilds.
When the vehicles pulled in front of the Pradesh Estate Lucy was floored by the beauty of the boscan mages' home. The front was an off white color you could barely see as it was covered in rich green beautiful ivy. There were only half a dozen steps that led to the heavy front double red wood doors. In front of the doors stood the man she has spent her entire life idolizing.
Her excitement had her on edge and she could barely contain herself and she started to bounce in her seat. Erik internally smiled at his kin knowing this is a dream come true for her.
Armon was excited not only for his children to be home but to meet the starbringer. Maybe the mage will be able to win one of his children's hearts and make him a grandfather already. Of course he was already plotting away after hearing such wonderful things from his son Bickslow and his mate.
He had been waiting all morning for the call from his driver when he stepped outside to greet the group. He smiled as he watched all of the mages exit the cars until a head of golden blonde hair caught his attention. As the figure turned around his breath hitched and his mind was blank of anything other than his late wife's best friend Layla. He obviously knew it was impossible as she had passed so many years ago.
That left the conclusion that the beauty walking up his steps was his very own goddaughter Lucy.
The last he had been able to see her was when Layla had helped him with his grief after Garnier passed away. Teaching him that his heart could still be open and since he had so much love to give to honor his late wife's wishes. He took Layla's advice and had adopted six of his eight children.
Lucy's presence around Farron had helped him smile again as the three and five year old played on the beach splashing each other. Watching them gave him hope for his family's future.
After Layla's death, he tried to convince Jude to allow him to see his goddaughter. The only way for any visitation was to sign Farron into a prearranged marriage with Lucy, which he had no desire to do to either Farron or Lucy. It broke his heart knowing that he would not likely be able to find her again.
Yet here she was in the flesh. He felt complete knowing that he would now get a chance to get to know her as she has grown and to be close to her once again.
The first up the stairs was Bickslow running in for a hug. He would never stop enjoying the love he received from his children. Giving the tall man a final squeeze he then hugged the rest of his sons and Erik. Lucy stood behind shyly wondering if she could ever meet someone of his stature's expectations.
She honestly was nervous the whole ride over but had put up her wall to block that part of her mind so as not to cause any misunderstanding on the trip. This man was expecting to meet the Starbringer but usually she was just seen as the ditzy dumb blonde.
Little did she expect to be pulled into a warm hug herself. The man smelt of aged whisky and peppermint. He exuded love and comfort allowing her to finally relax herself. As she looked up into his face she felt more nostalgia. It started with meeting Farron the night before, then the smell of the grass sea, and now the presence of this man.
Stepping back and clearing her throat Lucy looked back at the handsome patriarch. Farron resembled his father so much but she did not realize that Arman hardly looked to be the age of 52.
"Hello Ambassador. Thank you for opening your home to me during my visit here and at the Academe. Your work has always been something I have admired and wish to offer any services that I can to you."
Arman grabbed her cheek. "It is finally good to have my goddaughter back in Bosco. Lucy, did your father never talk about Farron, Zen and myself to you?"
Confusion took over Lucy's face, "I'm sorry no. He told me he had intended to marry me to an influential family in Bosco so as to be able to expand his train lines, but I have never actually come with him on his travels. I will admit though, this place really does feel familiar."
"You said I was your goddaughter. How could this be if I've never heard of you other than my studies with my tutors?"
"Come join us in the house for Dinner and I will continue my explanation of our family bonds."
