May the Power Protect You Always!!

Today is a sad day for the power ranger community. We lost our leader Jason David Frank! When I was a kid he was my hero always rescuing Kim & saving the universe.

In May I got to meet him when he came to our town, to our small comic book store as part of the power protection program. I will always remember how much fun it was just be in line. I was very lucky to be the last person in line. I got to spend the most time with him out of all the fans. I almost did not go because I have a big girl Job & I was doing leadership training Friday & Saturday, but we finished on time. I rushed to meet him. Telling all my co-workers where I was going and of course came the jokes... there where so many, but I did not care. I got there late but lucky for me he was running late so I got in.

I was standing in line infront of two kids they looked like they did not have a lot of money but paid to take a photo. They did not have anything for him to sign. I was going to offer to pay for them to grab a photo to sign but before I could Jason told the kids grab and photo you want I will sign it. You always have to have something to sign. He also have then dog tags and took several pictures with them. He even talked to them about how anything is possible. I'm sharing this because this gives you a deep understanding of what a great guy he was. This was about the fans for him and to have a wonderful experience.

When it was my turn he was just the best! I was with my son we had Ranger shirts on. He spoke with my son and took pictures with him in a morphin position. Then he told my son that he was going to take a picture with just me because he was pretty sure all this was more for me. I turned red and he smiled and apologize. I laughed and said no you are right! I'm the big fan. He goes I know and he but his arm around me and we took two pictures. When we were going to take the second picture I told the guy taking the photo to take it from a high angle because it makes me look skinnier. I am not a thin girl by any means. Jason laughed and said come on your beautiful. Then we took the picture! He usually dose not smile in his pic but in this one he is smiling a little. It was a very nice moment that I will never forget.

Thank you Jason for a wonderful childhood full of stories and adventures! May you find those that you love and miss in heaven your brother, mother and step daughter. May you now have eternal peace and that you rest peacefully. We love you and we will never forget you. Your life will live on in stories & memories. You will always be our leader and our Tommy Oliver, Dr. Tommy Oliver.

May the Power Protect You!!
