'Seems the connection will soon be established, though I sense something... different about the tarnished. Ever since he's been impaled by Melina.' The frenzied flame pauses in thought. 'It's like he losing something, gradually anyways, I'll hopefully be able to discern it once I conn-.' A flicker of a new presence catches the frenzied flames attention.

'What was that, it wasn't one of those gods but wasn't a mortal either... or was it, Hmm it feels dead yet alive like the tarnished. The tarnished will have to wait, I MUST INVESTIGATE THIS.' Excitedly the frenzied flame sets his sights on a new target.

"OZ IM TELLING YOU IT HAD TO HAVE BEEN HER, WHO ELSE COULD IT HAVE BEEN."

A silver haired man with Shaded glass spectacles sips from his steaming brown liquid.

"Settle down now Qrow, we must stay calm if we're going to figure this out."

"I *sigh* your right it's just I've never seen Raven in this kind of state before, not to mention the mild frostbite she got."

"Indeed her state was quite dire, however the way her frostbite formed... didn't seem natural. It's a good thing the school year has yet to start." Sipping his coffee Ozpin continues. "Back to your earlier statement, I do not believe this has anything to do with the Queen.*sip* however we can't rule it out either, I guess all we can do is wait for your sister to awaken and ask her.*sip*."

"I guess your right *sigh* I need a drink. Seeya Oz." Walking towards the exit Qrow stops and pulls something out of his pocket. "Almost forgot Raven was carrying some kind of map, thought you might want to take a look at it."

"A map of what?"

"Well it seems to be a map of some kind continent, though I've never seen anything like it. Anyways I'm going for a drink let me know when Raven wakes up."

Opening the rolled up map Ozpin looks on with interest. "Hmm oh it seems the map is titled, The Lands Between. How peculiar I'll have to see if Doctor Oobleck can find anything on the subject."

Getting up from his desk Ozpin walks towards a window to look down at the school grounds.

'Could it have been Salem, no that's out of character for her she has nothing to gain.' Ozpin looks at the map in his hand. "Where exactly is this Lands Between, *slurp* Hmm oh I'm out of coffee."

Arise now, ye tarnished. Ye dead, who yet live.

Gasping for air Max awakens with a sharp stabbing feeling in his lungs and aching all over.

gah* 'It's that dream again.'

It didn't take long for The tarnished to realize he didn't have his armor on specifically his helmet. With annoyance Max searches the room and finds his belongings on a table. *Thud* Putting his gear on he collapses onto the floor from fatigue. 'Well at least my eyes are covered now, for the most part. I'll just have to let the Blessed dew talisman heal me again, fully hopefully.' Pushing off the floor Max makes his way to a door. Inches from the handle the door shoots open slamming into him knocking him off his feet and shoot a wave of pain throughout his body.

"Oh my goodness are you ok." A blue haired woman wearing a bright green dress with pearly blue eyes and bright blue hair offers her hand to him.

ugh* 'well I guess besides bashing me with a door she seems friendly enough, I mean she hasn't tried to kill me so I'd say we're at a great start.' Grabbing the hand Max is pulled to his feet.

The blue haired woman looks Max over then shakes her head. "Oh look at you boy, you can hardly stand here lie back down." Guiding Max back to the bed he pushes her away.

"NO I can not idle about while there is work to do. *sigh* what is your *yawn* name." A bout of drowsiness

"The names Cyan I'm this villages doctor."

yawn*"Well Cyan I thank you for your out standing hospitality however I must depart *yawn*." 'I must be more tired then I thought.' Rummaging through his bag he pulls out a tiny purple orb, a stimulating boluse. Before being able to consume it Max's vision turns to black.

sigh* "I didn't want to have to do that, oh well." Reaching for the purple orb that rolled out of the armored mans hand looking at it for a moment she stuffs it in her pocket and clears her throat. "SHADE GET YOUR ASS IN HERE I NEED YOUR HELP LIFTING HIS HEAVY ASS BACK ON THE BED"

Walking into the room was none other than Shade.

"The least you could say is please, we are married ya know."

"You get to lift him on your own now, hurry up too I need to start dinner."

sigh* "yes ma'am, also im not stripping him this time he can keep his shit."

"What ever just get him on the bed."

Shade gazes down at the unconscious Man 'guess she used her semblance on him.' Walking up to the unconscious man he attempts to lift him then abruptly stops. "*huff* *huff* Shit I need to get Autumn."

A yell from the other room catches his attention, "AND DONT FORGET TO INVITE AUTUMN."

'Guess that works out, hopefully once this guy wakes up we can inform the village chief of our findings about which tribe has been scouting us.'

Sorry for the short chapter, I just wanted to get one posted. I've been very busy because of the holidays, I have family over and work. So there hasn't been much time to write.

Anyways I don't know if any of you know but Elden ring has a manga and I just love the mc. He gives the most accurate reactions to his situations I feel.
